Chapter 19
"Can I borrow your phone quickly?" Marinette asked. Luka looked surprised but grabbed it from his pocket and handed it to her.
"Everything okay?" Luka asked, "Is it about that guy?"
"Kind of," Marinette said as she opened Luka's phone and sent a text.
LC: Hey what can you tell me about Adam Dulce
Adrien: why?
LC: Marinette has a class project she is working on with him and he mentioned he knew you
Adrien: Yes I know him we have done some photo shoots together before
LC: Anything to worry about?
Adrien: He seems okay when we have talked. Don't know him that well. Want me to look into him?
LC: No it is okay just curious about him
Adrien: okay if you are sure
LC: I am thanks though
"Everything okay darling?" Luka asked when she handed him back his phone.
"I think so," Marinette said, "we got paired up for a project and he mentioned knowing Adrien. I just wanted to confirm that statement. If I asked Adrien he would make a bigger deal of it then thinking it was you asking"
"Oh," Luka smiled, kissing her, "so was he being honest?"
"Well he knows Adrien" Marinette shrugged, "you are helping Mrs. Daphne tomorrow right?"
"Yeah why?"
"Adam and I are going to meet up after school to work on the project" Marinette said, "I think I will see if Ro is busy and can drop in. Not that he has tried anything but I want to be cautious"
"Are you going to go to the bakery?"
"Yeah it will be easier than trying to haul everything to the Liberty," Marinette sighed, "although I had considered it for a moment"
"Really Darling, why is that?" Luka smiled
"Because then Ma and Juleka would be around," Marinette smiled. "Plus I kind like being in your room it is soothing"
"Darling I love you" he said kissing her, "however let's get to class we can talk about this later okay?"
"I love you too," Marinette smiled as he led her to her class. She reached up to kiss his cheek before walking into the classroom.
"Marinette good to see you back in class" the teacher smiled, "were you able to get everything done?"
"I was," Marinette smiled, "thank so much for responding so quickly to the questions I had"
"Of course," he smiled
"I won't be here for class Friday but should be here the rest of the week" Marinette said
"Okay I will get you the assignment on Thursday then"
"Thank you," Marinette said as she went to take her seat. Marinette took out her notebook and prepared for class. The next hour was spent taking notes and starting the assignments. When the bell rang Marinette quickly packed up and headed out the door. Luka was waiting for her. She smiled and leaned against a wall watching him. He hadn't noticed her yet. He was talking to some girl. Marinette smiled as he stopped talking to search for her. His eyes met hers and she smiled moving towards him.
"Hey darling, how was class?" He said, pulling her against him.
"Good I missed you though" she smiled
"I missed you too," he said, leaning down to kiss her. A throat clearing interrupted. They both glanced over at the girl.
"Darling meet Becca my Composition partner for the week, Becca my future wife Marinette"
"Nice to meet you" Marinette greeted with friendly smile
"Whatever Couffaine" she glared stalking off
"She seems pleasant" Marinette said
"So good news I have to call to reschedule with Mrs. Daphne tomorrow bad news I have to work with Becca on a project" Luka said
"Want to have her meet you at the bakery?" Marinette asked
"That's the plan" he smiled, taking her hand in his and walking towards her last class. They reached her classroom and Luka quickly pulled her against him, kissing her. "See you after class Darling"
"I love you rock star" she smiled
"And I love you darling" he smiled, giving her one last kiss before he left. Marinette watched him for a moment before walking into her last class of the day.
"Marinette, could you come for a moment?" the teacher asked when she stepped into the classroom.
"Of course Ms. Lucy" Marinette smiled walking towards her.
"I just wanted to touch base and make sure everything is going okay?"
"Yes everything is going just fine," Marinette smiled, "my assistant is finally here and able to handle things. I will be gone Friday though. I have something scheduled that she cannot assist with"
"I am glad to hear things are going okay, I will get you Friday's assignment tomorrow" She smiled
"Thanks Mrs. Lucy," Marinette smiled, going to her desk. A few minutes later the bell rang and class began. Marinette spent the next hour taking notes and focusing on the class. As soon as the bell rang Marinette quickly gathered her stuff and headed out the door. Luka was walking towards her. She smiled as she headed towards him. He wrapped in a hug as soon as he saw her. She giggled, wrapping her arms around him.
"What time are we meeting them?"
"We are meeting them at the ice rink at 4"
"Good because I have a huge favor to ask you" Luka said
"Okay, ask away," Marinette smiled.
"Let's get out of here first" he said
"Okay," Marinette smiled, intertwining their hands and walking towards his bike. As soon as they got close he grabbed her around the waist spinning her. He set her down and the bike with a smirk as she giggled.
"I take it I am driving home today" Marinette laughed as he tucked their bags into the bag hold. He climbed on, wrapping his arms around her. She giggled, starting the bike and taking off. What they hadn't noticed was Becca and Alaynah watching them.
Luka told her to head to the Liberty. Marinette smiled and headed in that direction. They arrive ten minutes later. Marinette pulled into Luka's spot and parked.
"Okay rockstar, will you tell me what is going on?" Marinette
"I dated her," Luka groaned, "for like a day after you left. I ended it. She tried to hit me with her car"
"I am sorry she did what" Marinette said in shock
"Tried to hit me with her car," Luka repeated
"Yeah this is gonna be interesting," Marinette laughed, "so what's the favor?"
"Split our stuff between the two places for the next few days make it look like we are living together"
"Is that why you introduced me as your future wife" Marinette asked
"No that is inevitable," Luka smiled, "I am going to marry you one day"
"You are huh" Marinette giggled, wrapping her arms around him.
"I am going to marry you darling it is written in our melodies " Luka smiled, "I already have a ring"
"You're serious," Marinette gasped, "wow. I love you rockstar and when we are ready i will probably say yes"
"Probably huh?" He teased
"I make no promises of what will fly out before I say Yes" Marinette laughed, "hey i have an idea. What if we simply moved all my stuff out. Tell her we are living together. If she questions why you aren't working at our place, make it obvious you don't want her near our home. I am moving at the end of the month anyway. "
"Wait, you're moving?" He asked surprised
"Yeah to an apartment above the shop" Marinette said, "I thought I mentioned it"
"Oh Yeah you did that first day we met for coffee" Luka said quietly
"What's wrong?" Marinette asked, pulling him towards the Liberty. He followed quietly. They reached his room and sat on the bed.
"Luka?" Marinette said softly, "talk to me rockstar"
"It's silly," he said suddenly
"What is?"
"I like having you here" he smiled, "I like holding you as we fall asleep, stealing kisses in between assignments, Cuddling on the couch with our morning coffee"
"Me to" Marinette smiled, laying her head on his chest. "It is kind of crazy how much,"
"I want to ask you to move in but I know it is to soon for that" Luka pouted
"Guess we'll just have to take turns sleeping over at each other places" Marinette smiled
"Oh yeah" he grinned, pulling her against him. She giggled happily kissing everywhere she could reach. He nuzzled her neck, placing kisses every so often. They were interrupted by both their phones going off.
