Time for the start of my Season Four AU trilogy. I hope you like this. P.S. I'm keeping the original concept that Luka was two years older than Juleka.

In the Agreste mansion, Gabriel Agreste was busy. His translator had been making huge strides. More pages had been translated, including one on how to fix the broken Peacock Miraculous.

According to the translator the different pages had different recipes for each "mythical jewel". It wasn't hard to get a hold of the first ingredient gold. Neither was the third ingredient, a peacock feather, obtained from the Paris Zoo. The last ingredient, meteorite dust, now that had been a challenge.

It wasn't something he could order and most samples were kept locked tight in museums and labs. Despite her sickness, Mayura had used her powers to break into a lab and steal a pound of the stuff.

When the powers of calling for help or protecting a wounded person were twisted for evil, the healing powers caused momentous destruction.

Gabriel hoped that by fixing the Miraculous both his wife and Nathalie would be cured. He needed to get this right on the first try.

He melted the gold down until it was a liquid. Then he added two small cups of meteorite death, making the liquid sparkle. Lastly, he dropped the peacock feather into the mixture causing it to bubble followed by a mini-explosion.

He had to wait five minutes according to the recipe to ensure the adhesive was fully set. When it was ready he used an eyedropper to deposit the liquid through the cracks in the Miraculous.

Once it started to glow he raised his voice and said, "Miraculous, repair yourself!"

The sparkling liquid turned into the same material as the Miraculous. It gleamed brightly in the dark lair. A single peacock note was heard.

"Yes, it's perfect! Now to question Duusu properly," Gabriel chuckled evilly. Pinning the Miraculous under the Butterfly, Duusu emerged from her Miraculous and hovering near her "brother."

"Duusu! How are you feeling "sister?" Nooroo asked anxiously.

The peafowl stated she was feeling better but still had a slight headache. She turned to look at the evil man wearing her Miraculous. She was not pleased one bit that Gabriel was her wielder.

"Duusu, I'm glad that you're feeling much better. Now that your Miraculous is fixed I…" Gabriel was saying before Duusu interrupted him.

"My Miraculous is only partially fixed Master," she informed him putting heavy sarcasm on the last word.

Gabriel's eyes widened before bellowing, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S ONLY PARTIALLY FIXED?"

Nooroo pleaded with his master to calm down. It wasn't good for his blood pressure if he got too angry.

"Originally, I was stuck in limbo after what happened to Emilie. The only reason I was able to get out of limbo, was because of the magical energy from Nooroo. His magic also had effects on the people in the house, especially Nathalie who works very closely with you."

"By absorbing that energy, I was able to partially use my powers again. You may have found the ingredients to fix the physical aspects of my Miraculous, but my soul is still damaged."

"Only the Great Guardian, would know the right spells and have the magical energy to fully fix my Miraculous."

This was a huge step back in Gabriel's plan. Even if he translated the spells, he knew he didn't have the magical power to finish the job. Oh, why did trying to save his wife have so many roadblocks?

Taking a deep breath, the man tried to calm down. "I see. Duusu, what are you capable of doing with a partially fixed Miraculous."

Having no choice in the matter, the peafowl responded. "My Miraculous won't make my wielder sick, but neither can I produce healing feathers. Which means I can't help my past wielders."

Gabriel's heart sank a little. His wife would remain in a coma for now and Nathalie would have to limit her physical activity.

"I can grant the use of my powers to my wielder. My special ability is off limits for now. You can use a feather from your battle fan to summon a protector, but it won't last long and I'll need several days to recover my energy."

"Will you and Nooroo be able to unify?"

Nooroo answered that one for his "sister." "We will be able to unify for you for one whole day before needing at least two days to recover. Duusu will need to feed off some of my magic while unified to keep us together."

So he could use some of the Peacock Miraculous powers with the drawback of having to wait a few days before launching another attack. Therefore he would be careful how often he used Duusu's powers while still relying on Nooroo for a majority of the time.

One more thought came to mind. Since Nathalie hadn't renounced Duusu, did that mean he wasn't the kwami's true wielder?

Having learned to read his wielder's moods, Nooroo knew what he was thinking about. "Master, please don't worry. While Duusu is still bonded to Nathalie, she will follow your commands when you are wearing her Miraculous."

Gabriel hummed for a few seconds. He wasn't happy with the situation, but he would still need Nathalie's help from time to time. He wouldn't make her renounce her Miraculous for now.

"You two will stay here until I return from checking on Nathalie. You will not attempt to escape or seek out my son or his bodyguard. Do you understand?"

The two Kwamiis nodded. They waited until the man was gone before finding a rafter to sit on to talk. Duusu sighed heavily. "How much of the Miraculous Book has he had translated?"

"At least thirty pages. I didn't think the translator would ever break the Guardian code," Nooroo replied. He shivered slightly at the thought of his master getting a fully translated page. "We should be thankful that they're still having to guess at certain words or phrases."

"That's true Nooroo for now. Your, I mean, our master is a designer. He has the imagination and resources to figure out what some of those words truly are," Duusu remarked in frustration.

Nooroo understood what she had been feeling. Since her return, Duusu had been trying to convince Nathalie that what they were doing wouldn't fix the real problem.

She had made a little headway with Nathalie only for all her efforts to be in vain. Gabriel rarely listened to Nooroo. Unless he had questions for Duusu he wouldn't listen to her either.

Hawkmoth and Mayura's recent attacks on different schools had shown the duo they were capable of controlling others from the edges of Hawkmoth's empathy range.

Other results had shown how much slower and vulnerable the heroes were when they encountered someone they didn't know. They also proved easier to track when coming from such a long distance.

"We need to hold on to hope. We know for a fact the Guardian is working hard on saving us and the heroes haven't been fully compromised."

Duusu agreed with him but added their "cousins" had been lucky so far by managing to keep their powers in check when not inside their Miraculous. She had a feeling that one of them was going to lose control soon.

While the two Kwamiis pondered their new future, elsewhere in Paris two superheroes were feeling overwhelmed by what their mentor just told them.

"Did we hear you right? That you want to train us to be Guardians? But you planned for Ning to take over for you," Marinette exclaimed.

"Yeah, we already have enough responsibility training our team and finding new members for the different Miraculouses. Being Guardians would push us over the edge," Adrien remarked.

There was a sparkle in Master Fu's eyes. "I said I wish to train you to be Keepers, not Guardians. As you know, Ning's job keeps her busy and out of Paris most of the time."

"If something was to happen to me, I want both of you to be ready to become Keepers so you can safeguard the boxes until Ning can retrieve them."

Marinette pointed out that Keepers couldn't use Miraculouses. Their duty was to protect the boxes and create a test to determine if a person was a Guardian or not.

"Correct, you can't use any Miraculouses that are currently in the boxes. You would still be able to wield the Miraculouses you currently hold," he explained to the teenagers.

Master Fu reminded them that each would have to come up with a challenge that corresponded to the categories: trustworthy, physical fitness, or defeating evil. They could figure out what type of tests later, right now he wanted to focus on something else.

"According to the Miraculous Book, before becoming Keepers, you have to prove your worth by completing three tasks. These tasks are the same as the ones to prove someone is a Guardian."

The teenagers looked at one another. Did they really have time to do one more thing right now? They had only gotten on top of their homework last week. They feared falling behind again.

"Please don't worry young heroes," Wayzz said. "We understand that you have many obligations already. During your lessons about the Miraculouses, Master will teach you the basics of being Keepers."

"We can also space out your testing and use everyday incidents to prove that you're both worthy for being Keepers," Honorra chirped. The little magpie believed that this official testing was a waste of time.

The kids had proven themselves time over time, but Fu wanted to conduct this process officially. Lately, Master Fu had seemed jumpy. Something was bothering him, especially when he slept.

He would spend the night tossing and turning. Even talking in his sleep and begging someone not to hurt him. She and Wayzz had taken to doing shifts to watch over the man. Until he was ready to talk about it, both Kwamiis wouldn't pressure him.

The teenage couple was oblivious to Honorra's ponderings. Instead, they agreed to learn more about being Keepers for now. A few basic lessons weren't too much of an added burden.

That night, Wayzz watched his wielder closely as he prepared for going to bed. "Master, your sleep hasn't been very restful for the last few nights. Perhaps, a soothing lullaby would help?"

Fu smiled at his old friend and told him not to worry. "Humans often go through periods of rough sleep. It is nothing to worry about."

Making sure the safe under his bed was secured, he climbed into his bed and fell asleep.

Honorra took first watch as Wayzz caught up on his sleep. Settling on the top of the dresser the magpie prepared for some mind-numbing boredom for the next four hours.

Three hours and forty-five minutes later, Honorra was preparing to switch out, when Fu started trembling. Floating closer she noticed the man had a death grip on his sheets.

"No, no! It's not my fault! Leave me alone, please. Don't hurt my friends ah!"

It was happening again. Honorra landed on the man's face and tried scratching him or using her pseudo beak to peck Master Fu. He started thrashing and shouting at whoever was tormenting him in his dreams.

Wayzz woke up and quickly went to his wielder's side. Pressing a paw/hand to the man's forehead he was shocked. "His temperature is starting to rise. We need to cool him down."

"I'll get the ice tray." Honorra rocketed towards the kitchen. She came back about two minutes later struggling to keep from spilling the ice.

Wayzz floated over and took one side of the tray to keep it balanced. Lowering themselves, they spilled the ice on Master Fu's head. The man shivered for a minute before calming down.

Grabbing a pair of socks from the dresser, Wayzz and Honorra used them to create cold packs. Honorra would make sure to remove them when she woke up in the morning.

"What do you think he's dreaming about?" she asked her "cousin."

"I don't know Honorra. I simply do not know."

In New York, Ning was in her gym working out. The last few missions she had been on had been exceedingly difficult to deal with. Recently, she had been in Afghanistan.

With the foreign soldiers finally leaving the country, the Taliban was starting to target large cities turning them into rubble. The Security Council had been working with the government to reach an accord with the group to end the two-decade long conflict.

So far negotiations were not going well. The government and UN had done their half of the bargain, but the other side had barely done anything in the agreement.

Ning had played a lot of roles over the three weeks she had been there. She had protected the ambassadors during the meetings. Making observations on the Taliban members at night. During her free time, she had gone around doing little things to help people who had been harmed by this conflict.

Then there had been a whole list of other things to do ranging from assisting the local police force to ensuring the recalled soldiers were still on schedule for their departure.

She had been recalled back to the UN after being overseas for three weeks. The UN was concerned she might have burnout from the intensity of the mission. Ning had to admit it felt good to be back home.

The agent dropped her jump rope and took a swig of water. "Ah, so refreshing. I need a nice long and relaxing bath in my hot tub. Jumping rope two hundred and fifty times is hard work."

After getting some towels and fresh pair of clothes to change into later, she settled into her hot tub. The jets soothed her back and legs. The heated water felt great against her skin.

Soft music played from the speakers ensuring Ning relaxed. She hadn't felt his good in weeks. It was nice to get away from it all.

Half an hour later, Ning was getting out when her video monitor pinged. Wrapping herself tightly in a towel, she went over and tapped the screen. She was a bit surprised when she saw who was calling her.

"Assembly Leader Amrit Bahadur Ra. What can I do for you?"

"Greetings Ms. Keeper. I am calling because I have information that might be helpful to you."

"In what way sir? I haven't heard of any major issues that I need to reassign one of my peace-keeping teams."

The assembly leader brought a satellite image up on the screen. It was a bit blurry, but she could make out a man walking through the snow at incredible speed.

"This photo was taken near our border with Tibet. Normally, this would be a simple border issue until the next image our satellite caught. Take a look at this one."

The photo changed and it was due to years of training that Ning's jaw didn't drop. The blurred figure had conjured a magical portal! Mentally she was going over the list of possible magical items or people who could create the portal.

"When was this photo taken?" she demanded.

"Two days ago. I just received word that another portal was sighted near the border with India less than an hour ago. Since you are the expert when it comes to magical threats, I hoped you could explain this."

She quickly explained the situation to the Assembly Leader what he had witnessed. He was disturbed by the fact someone could just open a portal and travel to wherever they wanted in seconds.

Her assurances that using portals drained a person of most of their energy was not a comforting thought. "Do you think this man could have something similar to the French terrorist Hawkmoth?"

Ning nodded her head slowly. "If he doesn't have an item, then he would be exceptionally talented in magic. Just because technology is more prevalent these days, it doesn't mean that people have entirely forgotten about magic."

Assembly Leader Ra looked very unhappy. "My government is not set up to handle this matter. What would you recommend?"

"For now, keep your eyes on the borders. The man seems to be on the move to a particular destination. I'll do my best to track this person."

A few days later, everyone was enjoying Kitty Section's new song. Rose had come up with some great lyrics. This song was about not keeping secrets and tell the truth.

"How many secrets do you hide? I feel like I'm a sleuth. I won't be denied. You're going to tell me the truth!" Rose sang loud causing a bit of feedback.

The audience covered their ears while Luka pulled the plug on the mike. "Sorry about that everyone. Looks like we have to check the mike out. Mom! Where did you put the tools?" Luka called out as he descended the stairs.

Mylene hugged Ivan then Juleka and Rose. "That was a wonderful song! What was your inspiration, Rose?"

"Luka was my inspiration for this one. Juleka once told me about how Luka doesn't know who his father is and their mom won't tell him. I thought the song might help convince his mom to tell him."

Marinette was surprised by that fact. Looking at Juleka she asked, "Do you know who your father is?"

Juleka hid behind her hair and mumbled something. Everyone looked at one another wondering what she had said. Clearing her throat Juleka tried again. "My mom told me my dad was a sperm donor. She always wanted two kids. One daughter and one son.

She ended up selling half of her rare album collection to pay for the treatment, but she's always said that I'm worth more than any album."

"You sure are!" Rose squealed giving her friend a tight hug.

While the rest of the class gave similar praises, Marinette tiptoed down the stairs to check on Luka. She was worried about him and how his mom would react to the song.

Luka and his mom were arguing in the galley. "Please Mom, I'm old enough to know who my father is."

"Luka, you don't want to know believe me. Your father signed a legal document relinquishing his parental rights. He knew he couldn't be a father so it shouldn't matter."

"It matters to me Mom. Even if he signed away his parental rights, just knowing his name would be enough. You let Juleka know her father was a sperm donor so why can't I know?"

"I won't discuss this anymore! Go fix your mike. You have a concert to finish!" Anarka shouted as she headed into her room and slamming the door.

Luka clenched his fists. Why wouldn't his mom tell him the one thing he wanted to know? She was an anarchist about everything else, but when it came to the truth to her family she enforced rules.

"Luka, are you okay?" Marinette asked as she came closer.

Luka turned towards her. "Not really, Marinette. I'm very frustrated with my mom. I've been bugging her about my father a lot because I have a genealogy project that's due next week."

"I really wanted to have my dad's side of the family on my project. The more relatives you have, the better the grade. I don't know what else to do. I'm never going to find out the truth!"

As she moved to comfort him, Marinette let out a gasp of surprise. An akuma and a feather were moving in Luka's direction. "Look out!"

Luka didn't move fast enough. Both the akuma and the feather entered his guitar pick necklace. Instead of Hawkmoth's regular purple mask, it was two masks inside of each other, blue in purple.

"Get out of my head Shadowmoth," Luka groaned. "You can't force someone, to tell the truth."

"Fight him, Luka!" Marinette encouraged loudly. She hoped the others would hear her and get out of danger.

"Marinette, run!" Luka shouted as he sank to his knees. The purple smoke covered him as a blue light exploded above him and turning into his protector, Light Eye.

The smoke disappeared revealing Luka's new Akuma form, Truth. Similar to his original Akuma form, Silencer, he was once again in a form fitting bodysuit in black and teal with eyes decorating his chest, shoulder, and head.

Getting out of her stupor Marinette ran up the stairs shouting, "AKUMA! Luka's an Akuma!"

Everyone gasped as Truth came up from behind, grabbed Marinette around the waist, and threw her over the side of the boat!

"Marinette!" Adrien shouted as he dived off the boat to rescue his girlfriend.

The others kids ran for the dock. Alix, Kim, and Max managed to get off the boat, but the others found themselves caught in Light Eye's spotlight. They felt something covering their lips.

"I am Truth and I have questions for you." Truth walked in front of Alya. "You're the investigative reporter. Time for the truth, do you know who Ladybug and Chat Noir are?"

Alya felt her lips moving against her will. "I don't know who they are. All my suspects have proven they aren't the heroes."

"A pity. Your turn Mylene. Have you ever received a Miraculous?"

"No, I haven't."

"Ivan, what about you? Ever been a temporary hero?"

"No. I don't think I'm hero material."

"Alright, your turn sister. Do you know where Ladybug and Chat Noir go to get the other Miraculouses?"

Juleka fought against the Akuma's power. She couldn't let him know she knew about the Guardian. "I…"

Light Eye's beam vanished as the protector was knocked away by Chat Noir's baton. "Hey, it's not nice to force people into telling the truth about a private matter."

"There are no private matters when it comes to the truth!" Truth shouted as he engaged in hand-to-hand combat against the superhero.

Meanwhile, Ladybug had secured Anarka and had taken her to the school roof. "You're safe here. Tell me, what happened?"

Anarka explained what led up to this. "I should have just told him, but I was too bitter towards my ex-husband. One month of marriage before having it annulled."

"Who is your ex-husband?" Ladybug pressed. She needed to know if Luka's father was still Paris and needed protection.

"Jagged Stone. He's Luka's father." Anarka's confession had Ladybug's mind spinning. She couldn't believe what she was hearing!

"MY FATHER'S JAGGED STONE?!" Truth shouted as he landed on the rooftop with Light Eye following right behind him. "You're lying! Everyone knows Jagged Stone doesn't have kids!"

"Light Eye! Spotlight on both of them now!"

The protector's spotlight inched over to the two females. Ladybug got in a position to fight. What she didn't expect was for Anarka to grab her and push her off the roof to keep the spotlight from hitting her.

Ladybug snagged a streetlamp and swung herself to the ground. Chat Noir landed next to her. "What's going on?"

"Chat, we need to find Jagged Stone! He's Luka's father! If Truth finds him I don't want to think about what will happen."

The two hurried off to the Le Grande Paris knowing Jagged was staying there to prepare for a private performance at a birthday party in a few days.

Truth rode his protector to the hotel and managed to arrive before the heroes. Jagged was leaning against the access door practicing his new song.

"YOU! I have some questions for you and I want the truth!" the Akuma declared as he landed.

"Oh, are you a fan? Well, any questions you have I'll be pleased to answer man."

Light Eye put the spotlight on Jagged and Truth shot a truth beam to make the rock star answer honestly. "I'm Luka Couffaine! Are you my father or not?"

"Yes, I'm your father. Anarka and I were married, but it was a mistake. We were two free spirits who collided against each other too often. When she told me she was pregnant I admitted I didn't think I was ready to be a father."

"So you signed away your parental rights? Did I even matter to you?"

"Anarka didn't want any contact with me saying I was a man child. When she asked me to sign my parental rights away I did. You do matter to me. I thought I was doing the right thing by staying out of your life."

Light Eye fizzled and suddenly disappeared, the feather came out of the necklace and disintegrated. Truth wobbled as he weakened from the sudden change in power.

Ladybug and Chat Noir arrived right at that moment. They looked around and didn't see Light Eye anywhere.

"Where is your protector?" Ladybug demanded. Her eyes darted about searching for it. Chat Noir's ears perked up listening for the faint hum the protector gave off.

"Yo rocker fans! That crazy eyeball thing vanished mere seconds ago. I think that wacky feather was responsible for it."

Truth steadied himself and hissed angrily at the heroes. "Light Eye may be gone, but I can still force you to tell the truth!" He fired off his truth beams and the heroes dodged the truth beams the best they could.

One beam struck Ladybug. She covered her mouth with her hands leaving her exposed. Truth kicked Chat in the chest leaving him gasping on the ground.

"Ladybug, tell me the truth. What is your civilian identity?"

Ladybug started to mumble as her hands slowly losing their grip. The power of the Akuma was forcing her to remove her hands. She tried to push her hands back together only for Truth to ask the question again.

"Ladybug, tell me the truth now! What is your civilian identity?"

One hand came loose and her mumbling was getting louder. She struggled to keep the other hand on. Her pinky came loose followed by her index and pointer. Then her last two fingers went.

"I am….."

An incredibly loud chord cut off her voice. With Light Eye gone, Jagged was able to move again. Seeing the heroine in danger, he quickly hooked up his electric guitar and started playing.

"I'm a rock hard star. My music is heard from near and far!" Jagged sang as loud as he could.

Using this chance, Ladybug summoned her Lucky Charm, which was a box of aluminum foil. "Alright, what to do, what to do?" she pondered as she looked around.

Her vision showed her the foil, Jagged's guitar, and Chat Noir. It came to her quickly. "Jagged, toss me the guitar!"

"All yours Ladybug," Jagged shouted as he flung his guitar at the heroine. She caught it and started wrapping the aluminum foil.

"No! Ladybug! Tell me your…"

"Your favorite color!" Chat interrupted as he got his second wind. He started pushing Truth back by attacking from a distance. His Lady needed his help and he would do anything to protect her.

"I love the color pink," Ladybug replied. It was taking a bit longer than she thought to wrap this.

Truth fired a truth beam and nailed Chat. "Chat Noir who…."

"Who is your favorite musician hero boy?" Jagged shouted finishing the sentence.

"You Jagged Stone. Who else would it be?" Chat replied with a cheeky grin.

"Stop answering everyone else's questions!" Truth shouted. In frustration, he fired his truth beams again in an attempt to make it so the heroes only answered to him.

That's when Ladybug jumped in front with the foiled-covered guitar. The beam bounced off a struck the Akuma.

"Truth, can you destroy your akumatized item?" Ladybug asked urgently.

"Yes, I can!" Truth said as he ripped his necklace off and stomped it to release the akuma. Ladybug snagged it and purified it quickly. Pulling off the foil she tossed it in the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!"

The ladybugs spread throughout the city restoring everything to normal. On the Liberty, Juleka hurried over to her returned mother to check if she was okay. "MOM! You're okay!"

"Yes, I hope your brother is okay now that he knows the truth."

Back with the heroes, Ladybug held out her hand and helped Luka up to his feet. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for helping me."

"You're welcome. Chat? Can you ensure Luka gets backs home?"

"Sure, see you later My Lady."

They watched her go. Chat was about to pick up Luka when Jagged Stone told him it wasn't necessary. "I'll make sure he gets home later. Right now, I like to have a little father and son time."

Luka smiled upon hearing that. He knew exactly what he wanted to talk about.

Later that night, Ladybug and Chat Noir snuck out of their homes and made their way to Master Fu's. They needed to find out more about Hawkmoth's upgrade.

Master Fu listened as Marinette described what she witnessed happening to Luka. Adrien also added how the protector vanished at one point.

The Guardian stroked his goatee contemplating the situation. "I suspect that Hawkmoth, or should I say Shadowmoth, must have partially fixed Duusu's Miraculous. How he did so is troubling."

"Why? Do you still suspect my father? He was akumatized remember, so he couldn't be Shadowmoth," Adrien insisted urgently. Just because he originally had the book didn't mean he was a supervillain.

"When the members who formed the Society of Exiles was expelled they took with them several important pages from the Miraculous Book. The Order managed to write three copies of the original," Fu explained as he held up the Miraculous Book.

"When the temple was destroyed many precious items were left behind. I believe one of the copies of the book fell into Shadowmoth's hands. The Guardian Code is complex yet I'm sure a cryptologist with a background in ancient Chinese dialects could translate some of it."

Hearing this subdued the group. They hoped that their enemy would never learn how to expand his powers or learn more about the Miraculouses. They couldn't believe their one advantage was now gone.

Honorra spoke up. "It sounds like Shadowmoth only has part of Duusu's powers. Remember when you fixed mine to pull me out of limbo? You needed the right spell and the magical energy to complete the process so I would be fully healed."

Wayzz agreed with her. It appeared that Duusu's Miraculous was stabilized for now, even if her full strength hadn't returned. "If he's unifying Nooroo and Duusu's powers with a partially fixed Miraculous, then it might limit his attacks."

"Wayzz is right. Duusu's energy would be zapped quickly considering her health right now. I suspect Shadowmoth's new powers might be limited," Tikki stated.

"Even if that's the case, it's not going to stop him from using his primary Miraculous. He might even give the Peacock back to Mayura. With it stabilized, she now has a chance to use her powers to hurt people instead of healing them," Plagg snapped angrily.

He hated that his "brother" and "sister" were being tortured. Before they might have had a chance to get one of the two missing Miraculouses. Now that the villain was unifying the two of them, their chances of saving either kwami just went down.

Fu stared at the Miraculous Book. If Shadowmoth was able to translate the more complex pages, then he would have the ability to launch attacks on other countries instead of just Paris.

We need to learn more about our enemy's new abilities. Find out his limits and weaknesses to even the playing field again. There is only one Miraculous Circle that could handle this kind of testing.

Abruptly, Master Fu went into his bedroom and returned with the box containing the Elemental Creature Miraculous Circle. "Centuries ago the human race believed that creatures controlled the elements and they had to pay their respects to them."

"This ECMC's Kwamiis are powerful and work well with one another. With Shadowmoth's unifying powers, I believe the best course of action is to have our own unified forces."

He opened the box and chanted the spell that released the Kwamiis inside. As soon as the twelve Kwamiis solidified, they started bouncing off the walls and exploring the apartment.

The first kwami had scaly silver skin, big blue eyes, and her paw/hands were elegant fins shaped like wings. A tiny forked tail was attached to her back.

The second kwami had black skin that was moist with small orange spots spattered against his chest. He had a salamander tail along with ruby red eyes. His mouth had visible vomerine teeth.

The next kwami's eyes were much smaller than what a regular kwami's would be. The kwami was white and brown with a green star nose. At the ends of her paw/hands were tiny brown claw tips same as a mole.

The fourth kwami was light green with long double gray wings on the back of her body. The huge furry-like antennas were white.

The fifth kwami looked very similar to a brown and gold griffin minus the tail and claws. His paw/hands were raptor shaped and his piercing gold eyes watched everyone in the room.

The sixth kwami was white and ice blue. Her face was shaped like a polar bear's as were her feet. Unlike regular polar bears, she had a small puffy ice blue tail.

The seventh kwami was bright yellow with fur sticking out in all directions. A pair of wolf ears shot out of his head and he wagged his fluffy tail.

The eight kwami was dark brown with green spiraling horns on the side of his ram head. His paw/hands and feet were also green. The feet were shaped like hooves.

The ninth kwami was platinum-colored with two and a half inch long wings. His beak was hard and he had a scruff around his neck. His feet ended with talons like a regular condor.

The tenth kwami was gold with an iridescent coloring. Two beetle-like wing shells covered his back. He had two sets of paw/hands, unlike the others. Tiny antennas popped out the side of his head.

The eleventh kwami was tricolor. Her head was ruby red, while the chest was gold, and her limbs were purple. Her forearms had feathers on them as well as three sticking out of her head. Her mouth was a downward shaped beak.

The twelfth kwami resembled a black jaguar with gold rosettes on her head, tail, and chest. Tiny fangs jutted out of her mouth.

The Kwamiis settled down as they got most of their excitement out of their bodies. The leader of the circle, Swimmy, spoke for the group. "Thank you for letting us out Guardian. We are eager to learn as much as we can about the modern world."

"I'm sure you are, but there is another reason I have let you out. Our enemy has grown much stronger and we need your Circle to figure out his limits."

Swimmy nodded and promised her Circle would do their very best with this assignment.

It was decided that Marinette would take home Swimmy for the next few days. It wouldn't be too hard to feed her, since Marinette kept a supply of her grandma's hard candy stashed away in her room in case Tikki needed a quick boost of energy.

Adrien would have Flammer. Plagg was not happy he had to share his space with his moist-skinned "cousin." At least he wouldn't be after his cheese since Flammer loved shish-kebabs.

The teenagers said their goodbyes to Master Fu. Tomorrow they would be having a serious talk with their team members.

The next night, Ladybug and Chat Noir assembled their teammates an hour early. With what they had discovered yesterday it was imperative that they not waste a second telling the team.

The other teens were mildly agitated, most wondering why the duo had gathered them so early. All they had told them was that yesterday's attack had changed everything. No one, but Viperion knew what they were talking about.

Ladybug clapped her hands to get everyone's attention on her. "I want to thank all of you for agreeing to come early despite your personal obligations. We have a lot to cover and little time to prepare you."

"What gives Ladybug? What's got you and Chat Noir up in a twist," Bunnyx asked in an annoyed tone.

"The big deal is yesterday's Akuma attack was different. Hawkmoth has partially fixed the Peacock Miraculous and is using it in combination with the Butterfly giving him new powers. He's also changed his name to Shadowmoth."

The other heroes went still. While they knew that Mayura's Miraculous wasn't working properly, they never expected Hawkmoth to misuse the power of two Miraculous at the same time and change his name.

"How do you know this?" Viperion asked anxiously. It was clear yesterday's events had shaken him up.

Chat Noir replied by saying the Peacock's battle fan's special ability was that the wielder could use the feathers to summon temporary protectors to guard patients. "Normally, the power is used to help move the severely injured parties to safety so the wielder can safely heal them.

Shadowmoth is twisting that power to create protectors who guard the Akumas and augment their power."

"So that creepy eyeball thing yesterday was a protector?" Kkachi asked and received a nod confirming the fact.

Chat Noir continued to speak about how he and his lady believed that since Shadowmoth had partially fixed the Miraculous, then he couldn't use its full power all the time. Nor could he completely fix it on his own.

Sirius asked how they knew that the Peacock Miraculous was partially fixed. Also, how could they be sure that their enemy couldn't fix the Miraculous permanently?

Both heroes glanced at each other before taking a deep breath. Looking them straight in the eye Ladybug told them. "Part of the reason we gathered you tonight was to share some information that has been withheld from you because we didn't have permission to tell you about it before."

"Permission? Who's permission?" Henwen asked in confusion.

"The Great Guardian's. Neither Chat nor I am the one who holds the Miraculouses or protects them all the time," Ladybug answered. She went on to explain what role the Guardian played and how they needed his permission before they gave out a Miraculous.

Chat also informed them that the adult who had helped them defeat Lila, Peace Keeper, was the Guardians Apprentice. One day she would inherit the responsibilities and ensure the Miraculouses never ended up in the wrong hands.

The other heroes wondered how two Miraculouses ended up in the possession of two terrorists. All the duo said was that the Guardian had been attacked a long time ago. Afterward, the two Miraculouses were lost.

The others were slowly coming to terms with what they had been told. The Guardian was the one who helped decide if they were worthy of being heroes. That he gave Ladybug and Chat Noir private lessons which they shared with them later.

Some of them felt betrayed like Ryuko. Why was this Guardian not giving them all lessons? What information was he privileged to know and keep from the heroes?

It wasn't surprising that Honey Bee was the one to rally everyone, to focus on the main issue. "I know we feel hurt right now. Imagine how Ladybug and Chat Noir feel. They couldn't tell us about this Guardian because of the need to protect him."

"Think about it. If Shadowmoth has two Miraculouses, think how powerful he would be if he had even more! Keeping the Guardian and his location secret has kept all of us safe from him."

The others started to look sheepish as they realized she was right. Now that they all knew each of them would need to be more careful to ensure Shadowmoth didn't get their Miraculouses.

Ladybug and Chat Noir thanked them for being understanding. They promised to start including sessions about unlocking the others transformation forms soon.

The heroes of Paris would not let their city fall at the hands of Shadowmoth.
