For those who ship Snape and Armonie already you'll like how the chapter ends.

Armonie's POV

"I still can't bloody believe you had a dragon you goof!" I told Hagrid.

It was dark out and I was helping Hagrid with detention which would consist of Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco Malfoy. Hagrid sniffed in response and I decided to not further upset the poor bloke. Argus arrived with the students.

"Sorry lot this is Hagrid"

I shot Argus a glare and the caretaker shut his trap. He then noticed Hagrid was upset.

"Good god man you're not still on about that bloody dragon are ya?"

"Norbert's gone Dumbledore sent him off to Romania to live in a colony"

Can you please smack Filch?

Unfortunately I can't in front of the students I told my phoenix half.

"The Forbidden Forest?!" Mr. Malfoy exclaimed breaking my train of thought. "I thought that was a joke! We can't go in there students aren't allowed and there are"

Draco paused as a wolf howled.

"Werewolves"

"No there isn't" I told the Slytherin. The blonde haired First Year looked at me. "But it is dangerous so you stay close Mr. Malfoy"

"Yes Ma'am" Draco replied.

Argus was about to make another comment but he decided to bolt when I shot him another glare. I drew out my wand and muttered.

"Lumos"

The end of my wand lit up. Eventually the six of us entered the darkened forest. We walked around until Hagrid and I spotted a thick silvery substance on the forest floor. Hagrid had our group stop and he bent down to touch the silvery liquid.

"Professor Straus, Hagrid what is that?" Harry asked.

"What we're here for" Hagrid answered before showing the students the silver liquid. "See this it's unicorn blood that is, I found one dead a few weeks ago"

"This one has been injured or it's possibly already dead" I added. "Our job is to find it"

"Ron, Hermione you'll come with me" Hagrid went on.

"Okay" Ron answered fearfully.

"Harry and Malfoy will go with Professor Straus"

"Okay but we get Fang!" Draco announced.

"Fine just so you know he's a bloody coward"

Fang whined getting Harry and Draco's attention. I told the two boys to stick with me as our group separated from Hagrid's. I let Draco have the lantern since I had my wand to use as a light source. About ten minutes into our walking did Draco start to complain.

"Wait till my father hears about this! This is servant stuff!"

"If I didn't know better Draco I'd say you were scared"

"Scared Potter" Draco scoffed.

"Enough" I advised the two of them. "Or else I will have no choice but to take points away, we need to be vigilant"

Harry apologized while Draco nodded. Again we kept walking but found no sign of the injured unicorn. We looked around for twenty minutes until Fang suddenly growled. Ahead was the unicorn and something was bent over it. Harry suddenly held his scar as though it was hurting him.

What the actual f**k?! my phoenix shrieked in horror.

The black hooded figure looked up and it hissed. Draco screamed and took off running with Fang following him barking up a storm.

"Get behind me Harry" I ordered.

The First Year obeyed and I pointed my wand out at the black hooded figure.

"Stupefy!"

My spell shot out of my wand but it simply bounced off the hooded figure. The figure moved around the unicorn like it was a ghost and it's focus was on Harry. Knowing simple spells wouldn't work I gave Harry my wand and I quickly shifted to my phoenix form.

I then shrieked before hurling myself onto the figure. I dug my talons into the being's cloak hoping it was hurting whoever was underneath and I made my phoenix fire hot enough to burn a person's flesh.

Whoever or whatever was under the cloak wasn't pleased I was burning the hell out of it and tried to throw me off. But I would not let this evil thing near Lily's son. The sounds of hoofs was heard and I saw one of the forest's resident centaurs arrive. I flew off of the hooded figure just as the centaur reared onto its hind legs.

The hooded figure fled and I breathed a sigh of relief before reverting to my human form.

"Are you okay Harry?" I asked.

"Yes I'm fine are you hurt Professor?"

I looked at myself and found no injuries. After reassuring him I was okay Harry returned my wand. The centaur called Harry's name and I saw it was Firenze. I shot Firenze a thankful look before going over to the unicorn. Firenze talked with Harry while I examined the unicorn. As I expected the poor thing was dead and it's blood stained it's back.

That thing was drinking it's blood my phoenix half spat in disgust.

I shook my head at this news. By drinking the blood of a unicorn one would live a cursed life for slaying such a pure creature. I wondered who would do this to such a peaceful creature but the revelation hit me. Snake Bastard!

Of course he would do something like this my phoenix agreed. I knew he was trying to come back into power

Yes but he's obviously receiving aide from something or someone I responded to her. But who is doing so is the real question

Hagrid arrived with Ron, Hermione, Draco, and Fang. Hagrid saw the dead unicorn and he looked defeated. He and Firenze exchanged a few words before the centaur bid Harry farewell and good luck.

Later.

After returning from the Forbidden Forest I took a much needed shower so I wouldn't smell like the dead unicorn. Thankfully it was a Friday and I definitely needed to sleep in. I had just changed into my pajamas which consisted of a tank top and regular pajama bottoms when someone idiot banged on the door.

I swore because I was bloody tired and wasn't in the mood for a visitor but again I wasn't a jerk either. To my surprise it was Severus and he looked angry.

"Just what the hell were you thinking?!" he snapped.

"What are you talking about? Severus it's late and I'm tired"

"I'm talking about confronting that thing that was a threat to Potter" the Potions Master answered.

Now I was angry.

"Do you seriously think I would let that thing get near Harry? If so then your a fool if I was going to stand by and let whatever that creature was kill Harry" I growled. "Don't forget that Lily was my friend too Severus and I'll be damned if I will let her son die"

I hated bringing Lily into this but damn it I was pissed now.

"You have no"

"No you listen to me Severus Snape!" I interrupted. I was shaking now I was so angry. "I know you loved Lily, I did too! Do you know what I went through when I heard she was murdered! I wouldn't stop crying for who knows how long, hell I wouldn't eat I was so damn upset! And I will not stand by and let her son die if I am present!"

A few tears slid down my face and I wanted to kick myself for doing this in front of the man I loved. The Potions Master didn't say anything and I refused to make eye contact with him. I heard his robes move and I felt his arms pull me into him.

"Armonie look at me" he said.

I didn't do what he asked because I felt ashamed for yelling at him. Severus sighed before continuing.

"I'm sorry for upsetting you but you should know I can't lose you too"

The next thing I knew Severus kissed me. My eyes widened at what was happening. The kiss was sweet and I closed my eyes letting the black haired man continue what was doing. He didn't pull away until he felt I needed some air. He then kissed my forehead afterwards. Now was the time to tell him if I didn't I would never have the courage to do so again.

"Forgive me if I'm being selfish but I love you Severus"

About bloody time my phoenix half said.

"I know you do" was the Potions Master's reply. "And tonight I was scared I would lose you too Armonie"

I wasn't sure if that was his way of saying he felt the same way but for the time being I didn't mind. I asked if he could stay with me for the night and he agreed he would. I ended up falling asleep in his arms and he didn't leave my side even when I woke up the next morning.
