Armonie's POV

I had been sleeping when I felt Severus's lips kiss my bare shoulder.

"Damn it Severus I'm still trying to sleep" I reprimanded my human mate.

"It's almost nine-thirty Armonie" the Potions Master pointed out.

You should get up my phoenix half added.

I groaned before finally sitting up. Of course I was completely naked since Severus and I ended up making love before bed. My mate was dressed while I was not. The summer passed by in a blur. As promised I took Severus to Monticello and he very much enjoyed it. He had liked the gardens and the history on Thomas Jefferson's home.

We also spent a good quality of time visiting my parents and they weren't surprised when they learned the Potions Master and I were dating. Mom thankfully didn't embarrass my mate thank god. The one thing I enjoyed most was the love making. When it came to sex both Severus and I were pretty dominate. Though Severus liked to be control and most of the time I let him until I had enough.

Now it was a few days before the new school year at Hogwarts began. And I had to go to Diagon Alley to get some supplies for Care of Magical Creatures. I noticed my black haired mate eying me in a manner I knew too well.

"Get that look off of your face Severus" I advised.

Sometimes I wish my boyfriend wasn't so damn handsome. My remark got Severus to smirk and with a quick walk he was in front of me and he massaged my left breast while kissing my neck. A moan escaped my lips and I decided to let my mate to continue with his torment. Eventually the black haired human pulled away.

"Your a flirtatious bastard" I said.

"Only with you" he purred.

He gave me a quick kiss before leaving my quarters to head back to his. I did my usual morning routine and after breakfast I decided to get the Diagon Alley errand over with. I apparated there and I wasn't surprised to see it busy. Several students said hello to me and I returned the favor before going to the shops I needed to get the supplies from.

When I was finished getting what was needed I had some time to kill before returning to Hogwarts.

"Professor Straus!"

Wondering who called my name I looked around and I smiled when Harry and Hermione hurried over. I gave Harry a quick hug and shook Hermione's hand.

"Got all your stuff for the school year?" I asked the two of them.

"Just about we need our books next" Harry replied. He handed over a list of the required books and I noticed most of the books needed were by Gilderoy Lockhart. Within my mind my phoenix half groaned.

Gilderoy Lockhart in my opinion was a too-goody two shoes. He was just annoying thinking the whole wizarding world revolved around him. The two Gryffindors invited me to go into Flourish and Blotts with them and I accepted. Inside the bookstore it was crowded and I noticed a sign.

Oh bloody great Lockhart is here doing a book signing my phoenix complained.

I rolled my eyes to agree with her and it wasn't hard to spot Lockhart. The damn peacock of a wizard had shiny blonde hair for Merlin's sake!

The whole entire Weasley family was here too and I said hello to Molly and Arthur along with the other children present. Molly was relieved to see Harry, the preteen said he accidentally ended in Knockturn Alley. Hagrid thankfully found Harry and got him out of that creepy place.

A photographer from the Daily Prophet maneuvered through the crowd and took a quick picture. After the picture was taken Lockhart noticed Harry. I watched as poor Harry was being dragged towards Lockhart. It wasn't long until Harry stood next to the blonde haired wizard and Lockhart wrapped an arm around the black haired preteen.

Poor kid

I agreed with my phoenix as Lockhart rambled on about nonsense until he mentioned he was going to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts.

Oh you got to f**king kidding me! both me and my phoenix said together.

After one more picture was taken did Lockhart release Harry.

"I don't like him either" I told Harry.

Harry smiled at my remark. I bid Arthur and Molly goodbye and decided to walk with Harry and his friends outside.

"Bet you loved that didn't you Potter? Famous Harry Potter"

Draco Malfoy would have finished his sentence had he not seen me. The second year Slytherin knew I didn't tolerate bullying hence why he stopped his mocking of Harry.

"Professor Straus" Draco greeted me with a nod.

I returned the nod just as a silver snake head touched Draco's shoulder.

"Now, now, Draco play nicely" Lucius Malfoy told his son.

Lucius Malfoy was a good looking wizard with long blonde hair. After I graduated from Hogwarts the elder Malfoy briefly tried to court me but it failed. Despite being handsome the long haired man was a bastard.

"Mr. Potter" Lucius greeted Harry.

He and Harry shook hands before Lucius suddenly pulled Harry forward and used his cane to pull Harry's hair away so the lighting bolt scar was visible.

"Your scar is legend" Lucius began. "As of course is the wizard who gave it to you"

"Voldemort killed my parents" Harry answered coldly and he pulled himself away from Lucius. "He was nothing more than a murderer"

"Hmm you must be very brave to mention his name or foolish?"

"Mr. Malfoy"

Lucius turned when he heard me address him. There was no way in hell I was letting this jerk pick on Harry in my presence. Lucius then smiled.

"Armonie Straus"

The blonde then took my hand and pressed a kiss against my knuckles.

"It's a pleasure to see you again my dear"

I simply nodded before Arthur joined the rest of us. I could tell there was going to be trouble between Lucius and Arthur so I told the kids including Harry I would see them soon and left the shop. No sooner had I did was there scuffling and I rolled my eyes. Arthur and Lucius were fighting and I only shook my head.

I returned to Hogwarts and made sure the supplies for Care of Magical Creatures was given to Kettleburn before I decided to go find Severus. I found my mate at his desk finishing up some paperwork.

"You sound annoyed" Severus said without looking up.

"I am I learned Gilderoy effin Lockhart is going to be working here"

"Trust me I wasn't pleased about that news either" the Potions Master responded. My mate finished his work and put his quill down. He then looked at me. "I see something else happened you weren't too pleased about"

I gave my mate a recap of how Lucius kissed my hand and that he and Arthur Weasley got into a fist fight. Severus found the fist fight amusing and he simply shook his head at Lucius's flirting. The black haired male then stood up and he moved around the desk and stopped in front of me. He drew me into him and I felt myself blushing.

"Your mine" he stated.

To prove his point he gave me one hell of a kiss that left me speechless.

"And your are mine" I added after the kiss. "Remember phoenixes don't share their mates"

I then suggested we watch Robin Hood. Severus agreed that wasn't a bad idea and we went back to my quarters to watch said movie. Let's just say the Potions Master liked the movie since the Sheriff of Nottingham was freaking hilarious.

I had no idea Alan Rickman played the Sheriff of Nottingham until my Mom told me. Omg he's hilarious in that movie!

I know Snape is out of character but that's because he does that when he's with Armonie. He will be his usual moody self throughout the story. On another note definitely check out Monticello because it's a gorgeous place. One day I hope to go back there.
