[A/N: Um, i realized that some of these entries can be part of a "senses CHALLENGE" as it were. Here's 'sight.' Sorry for using human anatomy to describe Zim.
I'm actually pretty uncomfortable with people looking at me, and i try not to look at people for too long. Ironically i've been told that i maintain good eye contact, go fig.

Even though he's sure that he will never be able to know everything about it, Dib Membrane still loved studying the night sky. Maybe it was the idea of all of the other worlds and people he was 100% certain existed; maybe it was the idea that it all needed to be explored; or maybe because he found the night as the only thing he could turn to for the majority of his life. Whatever it was, it always held his attention for hours at a time.
Now he had more ample opportunity than ever to experience it up close: hqe had a real working spacecraft that he could use to go to nearly any end of the universe. In addition, he had a companion in one of the children of the stars, that traveled millions of miles in that threateningly comforting void. There wasn't anything left on Earth for either of them, and 'leaving' had been on their minds for a while now.
But they were still at home right now. Dib had snuck away from his friends at some point and took his place on the roof. He didn't need a telescope tonight, he just wanted to watch the majesty of what his eyes could see of space.
Zim noticed after a while that he had left. He asked where he went, but Gaz just gave a dismissive grunt as she continued her game with one player. GIR wasn't paying attention either. He was more concerned with seeing how much popcorn he could fit in himself.
Zim looked for Dib in his room, but he wasn't there. He wasn't in the kitchen or the bathroom or even hiding in the closet to try to pop out and scare him. He didn't think that he'd be in the garage because they had left their projects alone for a few days as they tried to think of better gizmos to create, but Zim checked anyway.
Zim tiptoed around the dark corners: to not get jumpscared, and also to take the same opportunity should he find Dib's back before he found his face. After searching for a few minutes, he concluded that he wasn't outside.
But then Zim thought he heard a sigh that reminded him of his buddy. It was definitely coming from above, but Zim still couldn't spot him. He spied one of the gutters and climbed up it quietly and nimbly using his long spider legs. He stopped a couple of times to try and sense Dib again, but he didn't pick up much besides feeling like he was getting closer.
He peeked over the edge of the roof and caught a glimpse of a figure with a weird cowlick. He instantly recognized it and plotted to sneak up on Dib here to scare him. Zim stepped to get close enough to make an impression and noted how he was going to approach this.
He was only a couple of feet away when he peeked at the boy again. Not more than a second looking at him distracted him from what he was doing, however. He froze in place and simply stared at what he saw.
Dib was sitting there, all alone. His face was blank, but his eyes were intense and focused on the night sky. His body was relaxed and his breath was as steady as the evening itself. It was dark out, but the starlight tangled in his hair and the gleam of the moon kissed his face. He wasn't a particularly attractive boy, but the universe around him now made him look arcane and beautiful.
Zim was completely struck. He hadn't ever found more than a few beings to be aesthetically pleasing, and barely any at all were human. He couldn't usually bring himself to find living things to be charming like that, even back on Irk.
But seeing his friend now like this was completely new. He couldn't place what was so enthralling about it, but he was unable to take his eyes off of Dib. Seeing him so natural and comfortable was nice, but the world contained on that rooftop created something so mystical and captivating to witness, though Dib was still the most stunning of it all.
Zim almost couldn't tell that it was having a physical reaction on him as well. His head felt lighter and his breathing became deep and easy. His heart rate increased some, and it beat firmly in his chest. He could feel a strange tickling from deep inside him that threatened to pull his face into a dreamy smile. His rigidity melted away with the calm, and he would have indulged himself in this odd feeling.
Except that it made one of his legs lose its footing and scrape against the wall. Dib was surprised by it, but he didn't jump the way that Zim did. He looked over to the otherworldly creature that clung to the side of the roof. "Oh, hey Zim."
Zim made a face from being caught. He didn't want to scare Dib anymore, but he was embarrassed by being found like this. He pulled himself all the way up and warily stepped over to him. "He-hello, Dib-beast." He felt uncomfortable now.
"Want to sit with me for a little bit?" He turned his vision from the alien back to where it came from.
"Um…" Zim wasn't sure, he felt awkward. He glanced back to Dib and was subject to the same bewitching image from before. He breathed out and nearly fluttered his eyes at it, and decided that he should stay with his crush.
Zim sat down next to Dib, only glancing at the sky above a couple of times. After a few seconds, he turned his head to watch what Dib was seeing, and he tried to enjoy it any little bit that he could. He knew it made Dib happy, so he could appreciate it for that alone.
The two sat quietly for a little while. From seemingly nowhere, Zim felt Dib's hand sliding up next to his. He peeked over and watched his friend delicately lace their fingers together. He looked over at the boy and saw his smile turn to him. "I'm glad you came up here."
Zim dodged his vision away. "It's nothing." He felt his face get warm and his heartbeat increase.
Dib smirked. He leaned in as if he intended to share a secret. He lightly touched his lips to his boyfriend's cheek for a few seconds. "You look pretty in the moonlight, Zim."
Zim sighed and grinned a bit. His eyes met Dib's and his smile got wider between his blush. "Th-thank you, Dib-love." His chest tickled again as he saw Dib happily return to watching the sky.
Zim scooted himself closer. He leaned himself against Dib's shoulder with another dreamy sigh and opened his eyes to continue watching the stargazer. He quickly found that the view was much more heavenly up this close. He smiled and drank in all that he could.
Dib leaned his head over to tap against Zim's. "I love you, Space Boy."
Zim made a happy little noise. He grinned wide. "I love you too, star-monkey."
