Alright guys, before you guys get into the story. I want to explain about how I was inspired and how I came up with the ideas to write the story, so here we go. So, how I came up with the idea is because there's a Demon Slayer animation but the roles of Tanjiro and Nezuko are reversed. Also, the animation is soo amazing, it literally looks like it's part of the anime but, it wasn't. Because it was so amazing, it gave me the idea to write fanfic based of it. But hey, Hanayo Sora if your reading this, you deserve credit for helping me by giving a fantastic idea and I hope you you and everyone else enjoys reading this. So enjoy
Third P.O.V
The land and forest is covered in snow and there's a girl in a pink kimono wearing a brown coat while carrying a basket filled with charcoal and her face is covered in dirt from collecting the charcoal she had collected. "Ne-chan, there you are!" A young boy ran upto his older sister excitedly. "Shigeru?" The girl replied back to her younger brother. "Your going into town right? So can I come with you?" Shigeru asked his older sister can he come into town with her. "But Shigeru, wouldn't you want stay harm where it's nice and warm? Besides, I wouldn't be able to carry all the way back when you get tired." The sister replied back to her brother, stating she won't allow him to come with her. "But Nezuko it's been boring around here and I just want come with you. Please?" Shigeru begged as he really wants to go with her. "I'm sorry Shigeru but many some other time when the weather is nicer?" Nezuko replied back to her brother with a smile and Shigeru's face is showing that didn't like that response. "No! I want to go with you!" Shigeru complained and ran to his sister and hugged her.
"I already told you no. But if your good, I'll bring back some goodies once I get back. Okay?" Nezuko told her brother that she'll wouldn't be bringing him with her into town but promised that she'll bring sweets if he's good. "Really? Do you promise?" Shigeru asked as he's now happy for what Nezuko told him. "I'll promise." Nezuko said as she crouched down and placed on hand on his shoulder and the other on his cheek." Don't worry, I'll promise." Nezuko replied back with a smile. "Nezuko..." A woman called out to her as she stood in the doorway while looking shocked which she then sighed. "Mother..." Nezuko replied back which her mother grabbed a cloth. "Come here... Young ladies such as yourself, shouldn't be gathering charcoal. Just look at yourself, your face covered in soot." Nezuko's mother said to her as she wipes the soot from Nezuko's face.
"But Tanjiro's leg is still broken and I-" Nezuko couldn't finish what she's about to say because her mother interrupted her. "I already know Tanjiro's leg still needs time to fully heal but, that doesn't mean you have to do his work in his stead."Nezuko's mother explained to Nezuko, trying to tell her that because Tanjiro is injured, it didn't mean that she should do his work. "I've already talked to Tanjiro about it as we both want everyone to have a great new years feast. So I'll try to gather and sell as much charcoal I can. I may not have the same strength as him but at least I'm helping, even if it's a little." Nezuko explained back to her mother. "I see... that's very thoughtful, but working in the snow can be dangerous and I'm just concerned." Nezuko's mother replied back.
Author Note: Alright, I know it's three paragraphs in and your probably wondering why I'm not using Kie's name? The reason to that is because some might not know what Tanjiro's and Nezuko's mother's name is. That's why I'm not using it. Anyway lets carry one
"Ne-chan, are you going to town right now?" A small boy asked ran as he was holding a hatchet and small girl was running with him. "If you are, I'm coming with you!" The smaller girl said to her which made Nezuko's mother stand up. "No Hanako." Nezuko's mother told her youngest daughter that she couldn't go with her sister. "But Mama, I want to help her." Hanako told her mother as she really wanted to go with her sister much like how Shigeru wanted to go to town with her. "No and besides, Nezuko isn't like Tanjiro which means she isn't taking the cart which means it'll difficult for her to carry you and climb back home in the snow." The mother explained as it would be difficult for Nezuko if Hakako gets tired. "Awww... Alright... I'll stay home" Harako replied back to her mother in disappointment. "Ne-chan, Are you sure your going to be alright carrying all that charcoal all by yourself?" Nezuko's younger brother asked her to see if she'll be alright carrying the same amount of charcoal that Tanjiro usual takes into town.
"Oh, I'll be alright Takeo, I've already done this before. So you don't need to worry about me." Nezuko said to Takeo with a smile to reassure him that she'll be alright which both Takeo and Hakako remained silent. "Alright you's three, while I gone into town to sell the charcoal, I need somebody to watch over Tanjiro, so that he doesn't overdo his chores. Can you's three do that for me?" Nezuko asked her three younger siblings as crouched down and held Shigeru's and Hanako's cheeks. "Sure! I was already was planning on helping Tanjiro to chop some firewood anyway." Tateo replied back but that could explain the reason why he was holding an hatchet. "Sure, leave it to us." Shigeru replied. "Yeah." Hanako also replied. "Thank you and I'll make sure I'll bring back some goodies for you all." Nezuko thanked them and stood up. "Thank you Nezuko for helping Tanjiro but please make sure that you'll be back before nightfall. Alright?" Nezuko's mother asked her daughter to be home before night falls as it can be incredibly dangerous walking home in the dark. "Alright, I'll try." Nezuko replied back to her mother and began walking so that she can be home early. "Make sure you have a safe journey, okay?" Hanako yelled as she along with her siblings and mother waved goodbye which Nezuko waved back in return.
A few minutes later
As Nezuko was walking on the path into town, unknown to her there are two individuals hiding behind the tree giggling. But as the moment Nezuko was amount to walk past the tree, a young boy pops out. "Boo!" The young boy yelled trying to startle Nezuko. "Rokuta? Why are you.." Nezuko was interrupted by the other individual that was also hiding behind the tree. "I'm sorry Nezuko but are you heading out?" The boy said to her with a smile. Tanjiro, what are you and Rokuta doing out here? Besides, you should be resting your leg, otherwise it won't heal." Nezuko lectured Tanjiro that he should be resting. "Rokuta and I were just playing in the snow until we saw you. Besides, my leg is almost healed anyway." Tanjiro replied back to his sister. "Ne-chan... are you angry?" Rokuta asked his older sister as he thinks that Nezuko might be angry at them both. "No, I'm not mad Rokuta, I'm just concerned about Tanjiro and his leg." Nezuko replied back to him. "Nezuko... I'm sorry that your doing my job. If only if I hadn't tripped on that tree root, you wouldn't have to do my job." Tanjiro told his sister that he's sorry as he feels guilty that Nezuko is doing his job. "We'll family and family is supposed to help each other. I'm always happy to help any of us." Nezuko replied back to her older brother with a smile.
"Hey before you go..." Tanjiro asked her sister to stay for a moment. "Here. take this until you get back." Tanjiro asked Nezuko while holding on of his earrings in his hand. "Tanjiro, you know you shouldn't be lending our family's heirloom like that, even if we'll family." Nezuko told her brother that he shouldn't be passing their family's heirloom like this. "Father once said their like protective charms and you can keep it only until you get back." Tanjiro told Nezuko what their father once told him about earrings that have been pass down for generations. "Tanjiro, sometimes I get the feeling that you don't even know how to treat me as your big sister." Nezuko told Tanjiro about what she sometimes feels about how he treats her. "As the oldest son, it's role to take care of everyone." Tanjiro replied which Nezuko laughed. "Alright I have to go and sell this charcoal otherwise, I might not get back before it gets dark." Nezuko told her brother and said their farewells.
Nezuko P.O.V
("There times we don't have it easy and we've struggled with life but, we'll happy. Life will always change tho, like the weather it'll suddenly changes and moves on. The will not shine forever as it'll has to chanage at some point and the snow will stop and melt at some point. But whenever happiness is destroyed, it's always followed by despair and sometimes... the smell of blood." ) I thought as I continued on my journey into town while trying to be careful not to trip on any of the tree roots as that's how Tanjiro managed to injury his leg.
Five minutes later
"Nezuko? What are you doing all the way out here and are you... carrying a basket of charcoal?" One of villages of my hometown asked me which I'm not surprised as Mother told that I shouldn't be doing Tanjiro's job. Well considering Tanjiro's leg injury is still healing. I've decided that I'll do some of his work, it's the least I could do as his sister." I replied back to her which she walked towards me. "That's very kind of you but a lady like you shouldn't be carrying a large basket filled with charcoal on her back." She told me but helping Tanjiro is all what matters. "Well that doesn't matter and if your trying to help your brother, I'll better buy some charcoal of you so that it'll help both you and your brother." She told me and bought some charcoal off me. "I'll buy some charcoal too Nezuko!" "I'll buy some as well and tell him that I hope he gets better!"Two other villagers yelled to get my attention so that I would sell charcoal to them. "Hey Nezuko, can you tell Tanjiro thanks again for fixing the sliding door?" A villager asked me which I smiled. "Sure I'll let him know." I replied back to him as Tanjiro does everyone a lot of favors out of kindness.
Some Time Later
"I didn't expect that it'll get this late so fast. I promised Mother that'll be home before it got dark and I'm willing to bet she's going to be worried." I told myself as I know I'm probably going to be scolded and my other siblings are probably worried about me as well. "Nezuko! What on earth are you doing out this late? Your seriously not thinking about climbing the mountain when you know it's dangerous. You can stay in here until daybreak."Saburo, one of the villages told me who lives at the foot of the mountain. "But I-" "Don't argue because once night falls, demons will appear. So come on in before they show up!" He told me which by the tone of his voice, he's very serious about it and I know walking up the mountain is dangerous anyway. So I agreed to stay for my own and his safety.
Few minutes later
Saburo made me a meal because I haven't had mine and he already had his "Excuse me,grandfather, Saburo. You said that demons like to come out at night but what do they look like?" I'd asked as I've never seen a demon, so I have no idea what they look like. "Whenever darkness fall, demons will appear and will roam across the land. They love to devour us humans and that's the reason why you shouldn't be out walking at night." Saburo explained to me about demons and the reason why I should never journey at night. "Alright when you finished eating, go to be as once it's daybreak,you can head home." He told me which I did. "Hey grandfather Saburo, I got a question." I'd asked to see if he's willingly to answer my question. "What is it?" I replied back to me. "You told me earlier that demon like to come out at night and that we'll be safe in our houses. But can't they-" I couldn't finish what I was about to say as grandfather Saburo interrupted me as he knew what I was about to say. "
"No...They can enter if they wanted too as there's nothing from stopping them from entering. However the reason why the demons haven't done so already is because we have demon hunters who have been slaying them for generations. That's why it's not safe to travel at night as they often prey on travelers or anyone walking alone in the dark. Now go to sleep" He told me which I gotten a bit worried about my family.

I've never wrote a fanfic like this before as for one Nezuko's dialog is something we don't actually see. So it was hard but at the same time, I knew what to write which is strange.
