Recommended music for the fight with Kold: Terminator theme song
"My Lord, we will arrive on Earth in three hours," the servant stated as he tapped away at the screen. "Scanners indicate no Saiyans on the planet, though."
The massive figure on the throne shifted slightly. A cultured voice spoke. "You are quite certain these are the coordinates that my son sent us, yes?" The words held an unspoken threat. The lackey gulped.
"Yes sir, these are the coordinates. Should we...wait for Lord Kooler to verify the location or...?"
The figure upon the throne considered the options. "Continue. At the very least, it seems to be a marketable planet. We will purge it if no Saiyans are found and sell it. Frieza's client list does indeed need to be taken care of."
Android 19's sensors beeped as it walked along the street, heading to a store that its creator had ordered it to retrieve some parts from. An extraordinarily high power level was approaching the planet. Its head swiveled unnaturally in the direction of the power it was sensing. It was indeed marginally greater than the Android's own, which was worrying enough as it was, but it was not Son Goku, nor Vegeta, or any other Z-Fighter. Options were weighed, then the Android took off in the direction of the power level to investigate and report back to Dr. Gero if anything of interest was found.
It was not long before the Android noted that the fighter known as Krillin, along with the alien known as Nappa, were approaching the location of the power level. The Android considered its options, then selected the course of action it had come up with to aid Dr. Gero's mental state.
Earth's few remaining warriors stationed themselves on a rocky bluff some distance away from the landing zone of the gigantic mothership. Nappa spoke first, and his tone was not encouraging.
"It's King Kold," he stated flatly, almost resignedly. "The father of Frieza and Kooler. He's stronger than both of them, and oftentimes much more savage."
"Who's Kooler?" Krillin asked.
"Frieza's estranged brother. The two never got along, mainly because of the power dynamics in the Kold family. Frieza, as the firstborn and the stronger of the two, received the favor of his father. Somehow they must have figured out Frieza met his end here."
The two fighters were startled by the sudden appearance of a large person in exceedingly baggy clothing in front of the ship. Without a word, it raised a hand and the ship exploded in a hail of debris and fire. It quickly leapt backwards and began to fire rapid energy bolts at the heart of the explosion. A series of answering bolts flew at the one responsible for the destruction of the ship, but a hand was raised and the bolts of energy disappeared without a trace. After that, the fighter's speed increased until it was nothing more than a blur. A roar of anger came from the heart of the dust cloud and King Kold, in all his fury, sailed out of the cloud, eager to destroy this insolent being who had so casually destroyed his flagship.

19's eyes glowed as its processors kicked into high gear. It was not strong enough to outright defeat this enemy, but was equipped with the necessary tools to level the playing field. Having observed the temper of the being named Frieza, Android 19 surmised that an affront to this alien's pride would best undermine his calm state of mind. With this in mind, it decided to provoke the strange alien into a headlong attack. This method consisted of a simple, universally recognized insult.
Android 19 lowered its pants and slapped its bare rear end repeatedly at the gobsmacked King Kold.
The fury that ignited in the eyes of the alien king was absolute and all-encompassing. Roaring in unfathomable rage, he raised his hands above his head and screamed, "How DARE you insult the great King Kold! Die, along with your pathetic planet!" A massive ball of energy formed above him and increased rapidly in size.

Initiate energy recovery
After quickly hiking its pants back up, Android 19 threw its hands up to meet the oncoming ball of energy and absorbed it as the mighty frost demon threw it. Within moments, the entire Death Ball was gone, and the Android was buzzing with extra energy. Kold barely had time to process the fact that his attack had failed before he registered a fist protruding from his abdomen. Pain flooded his entire existence, but he quickly sent a shockwave of ki through his muscles and forced his attacker backwards. He roared in pain, blood flowing freely from the gaping wound. His options were limited now, and the only viable one seemed to be transforming. Before he could even begin to think of doing so, his assailant appeared in front of him almost instantaneously and grabbed his head, repeatedly mashing it into its baggy knee. Kold's power level dropped at a prodigious rate as he struggled in vain to free himself. A sickening crunch accompanied his cranium giving way after the tenth knee to the forehead. The mysterious fighter then dropped the limp body of the frost demon patriarch to the ground, nearly a half mile below.
The crater was noteworthy, but wet.
Nappa and Krillin stared in utter shock at the cold, brutal efficiency the fighter displayed, dispatching a threat that surely would have destroyed the Earth in a matter of seconds. Despite the extremely odd appearance of the fighter, no difficulty was shown in propelling its bulk.
The fighter's head turned eerily towards Krillin and Nappa, and it flew to them quickly, landing before them. Sparks flew from some slightly damaged areas on its palms and one area on the face.
In a robotic voice, it said, "I am Android 19. You are Krillin and Nappa. I require you to take me to Bulma Brie-i-ifs," it stuttered as a shock of energy rattled its frame. It then collapsed in front of them.

Calculating
Android 19's algorithms had determined that it stood the best chance of continued existence if it came into contact with the technological genius Bulma Briefs. It lacked the ability to return to Dr. Gero's laboratory at the moment, and revealing the location was strictly forbidden by its programming. Thus, it calculated that it had the best chance of getting in contact with the Capsule Corps head by revealing itself to Nappa and Krillin.
Luckily for it, the two were willing to aid it. Just before the critical failures in its system caused malfunctions in its artificial eyes and ears, it heard a shocked female voice shouting at a loud volume and saw a head of blue hair enter its field of view.
"Kami, this technology is advanced..." Bulma muttered as she dissected the internal components that 19 was made of. "I can replace a few of these things with ready-made things I've got lying around the lab so he...it...whatever, can get up and moving, but it'll take a while to fabricate parts strong enough to stand up to the same amount of punishment you two said it could deal out." She absentmindedly chewed on the end of her pencil.
"So...are you going to wake 19 up or...?" Krillin asked. Bulma's eyebrows rose.
"The auditory and speech functions are online right now, but the central core is in a loop caused by the excess power. Right now, I'm draining that energy into some cells I've got lying around. I can't wake it up until that's done, or it might end up getting flash-fried. Nappa, it'd really help if you could turn it on its side. I need to check the mechanisms back there." Nappa quickly turned the bulky robot over on its side and Bulma opened up a hatch, cursing as an errant current of electricity shot into her finger. "Gah, that hurt!" she shouted, waving her hand around. She stuck the finger into her mouth, childishly sucking on it. "Damnit, I need some gloves," she groused as she scuttled over to a drawer and comically began throwing many, many items across the lab in search of a thick pair of gloves. She let out a triumphant whoop when she finally found a pair and quickly donned them. "Alright, let's get down to business..."
Bulma replaced thirty-seven different components in the span of three hours, at which point enough power had drained from the android for her to deem it safe to reboot it. Its eyes flickered as it booted up.

"You are Bulma Briefs?" Android 19 asked in a monotone.
"Yes, that's my name, don't wear it out. Now I've got a few questions of my own while we wait for my machines to finish fabricating a few parts for you," she said.
"Unnecessary," stated Android 19. "I can effect repairs on myself at a later date. I have a request to make of you, Bulma Briefs."
An eyebrow rose. "Yeah, well, around here, we say thank you to the people who save your life - er, operating system...? Anyway, I'd still like some answers, buddy."
Android 19 looked around. "I sensed the power level of the alien that landed earlier today. Its signature was similar to that of the one who called himself Frieza. Previous information has determined that Frieza was intent upon destroying the Earth, and so it was deemed necessary to eradicate this alien as well. Is this information sufficient, Bulma Briefs?"
Bulma's eyebrows rose again. "... it'll do for now, but I'm pretty sure Goku will have a crapton of questions for you when he gets back. Anyway, what was it you were wanting to ask? I'll see what I can do, but I can't make any promises."
Android 19 looked at her. "I wish to request that the ones known as Vegeta and Goku be contacted on Planet Namek and use the object called Dragon Balls to wish for the revival of Dr. Gero's son."
Blank looks were issued from both Krillin and Nappa, but Bulma's eyes widened. "You're joking, right? Dr. Gero was one of the main masterminds behind the Red Ribbon Army! Why in Kami's name..." she trailed off as she saw the Red Ribbon Army logo on 19's outfit. "...well, damnit, you're one of his robots, aren't you?"
The bulky Android nodded stiffly. "I was created to aid Dr. Gero in his research and projects, as well as to care for his failing health. However, my creator has recently been suffering from depression, which affects his cognitive functions. The primary cause of these depressive episodes is anything that triggers a memory of his late son. His current project is focused upon the destruction of Son Goku as a result, as Son Goku's actions directly resulted in the death of Dr. Gero's son. It would be of mutual benefit for the request I have given to be fulfilled."
Bulma rolled her eyes. "Damnit Goku, you did it again, you idiot hero...I'll contact them, but I don't know if they'll be able to revive the guy you want revived. On another note, won't your creator find it weird that you're damaged?"
19 shook its head. "Dr. Gero has already sensed the battle between myself and the alien with his computer systems. I will simply return and state that repairs to rectify damage received during the fight were effected shortly afterwards."
Bulma wiped her brow, sweat beading despite the cold room. "Ugh...this is a hell of a situation. Well, you're good to go, mostly. You should be able to fly and walk, but fighting anything stronger than Nappa is going to be an issue for you. It's probably a good idea to get the rest of your systems looked at as soon as possible. Exit's over there, just make sure you flash this badge - " here, Bulma tossed a visitor's pass over her shoulder "- before you leave." She quickly exited the room and headed upstairs.
"Nappa. Krillin." stated the Android flatly.
"...Yes?" the two answered.
"...Thank you for your assistance in preserving my existence," said the Android.
"Heh, you killed King Kold himself. I should be the one thanking you. There was nothing I could have done to that monstrosity," Nappa grunted. "Alright, let's get you off that table and out of here. I've got some things I have to do." The two human fighters carefully righted the Android and swung shut the open panel on its back.
"I must retrieve a number of items before I return to my creator. Where is the exit to this building?" asked the Android.
Nappa pointed to a map on the wall. "Over here. Take this exit, not the side one, because the people on the side exit saw us carry you in." Android 19 nodded, then set off down the hall at a brisk pace.
The first son of the Kold family disembarked from his flagship. His lackeys panned round and surveyed the area. Doore tapped his scouter. "Lord Kooler. Looks like one high power in that direction, two very high - hang on, they're gone..." He jumped as Neiz interrupted him by screeching as he was hit by an explosive ki blast.
"Salza, Doore, and Neiz...the Armored Squadron...and Lord Kooler himself," the Prince of all Saiyans sneered as he descended from the sky, his gloved hand still smoking from the ki it had just released. A strangely dressed man with wild hair landed next to him, his eyes hard as flint.
"How dare you attack Kooler's Armored Squadron!" coughed Neiz.
"Oh come off it. The Ginyu Force was more of a threat than you three, judging just by the variety of abilities they have. Speaking of whom, I wonder what those idiots are doing now, without their precious Lord Frieza to lead them?" laughed the Prince.
"You're confirming my brother is dead?" asked the elder child of King Kold.
Vegeta grunted in affirmation. "Yes, he was. And he was defeated by the very legend he feared and destroyed my home planet over. How ironic that by destroying the threat of the Saiyans, he ensured his own demise..." The prince trailed off, a taunting smirk on his face. His eyes dared anyone to make a move.
"So you're the Super Saiyan, Vegeta? Is that it?" Kooler asked softly.
The prince grunted in annoyance. "I cannot claim that title, though it grates on my pride. I can claim the title of he who killed your brother, but the one who defeated him stands beside me, the son of the Saiyan warrior Bardock. His name is Kakarot."
'Kakarot' rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Vegeta, we've been over this. My name is Goku!"
The prince folded his arms. "Kakarot is your Saiyan name. I will call you what I wish."
Being ignored so casually did not go over very well with Doore. With a roar, the hulking green soldier slammed a fist into Vegeta's side. The prince barely reacted, however, simply looking up at the shocked warrior before smirking and swinging back with his own blow. Doore went flying backwards, skipping on the ground like a stone. Salza charged in to defend his teammate, along with Neiz. The prince burst into action and the battle moved some way to the left, Doore joining in once he had removed himself from the tree he had hit.
Goku and Kooler were left to face each other alone.
"So you defeated my brother. I wonder, what form was he in? I never would have thought a Saiyan would be our equal in any of our forms," said Kooler.
"He had a long head, if that's any help," offered Goku sheepishly, scratching his head while grinning disarmingly.
"So you defeated my brother in his third form? Pity, I thought this 'Super Saiyan', would be a challenge." Kooler sighed. "Our species has the ability to transform into various states, each more powerful than the last. I am in my kind's fourth form. Though I am weaker than my brother's fourth form, I am decidedly stronger as I am than his third form, in which state you defeated him."
"Now hang on just a minute, do you really wanna go an' fight? I haven't done anything to you, y'know...and your brother did some pretty bad stuff..." Goku said.
Kooler laughed. "You've insulted the name of the Kold line by existing. I didn't like my brother, by any means, but he was my family. Now if you will excuse me, I need to kill you so I can use these Dragon Balls I hear are on this planet." Without preamble, the frost demon launched himself bodily at Goku, who quickly assumed a defensive stance, preparing for battle.
Yes, a lot of things are happening at once. Yes, I am aware that the fight with Kold was short. Here is my reasoning.
The Frost Demon race as a whole relied heavily on their overwhelming natural strength to crush their enemies. We saw in Resurrection F what just a LITTLE training did for Frieza. It stands to reason that Kold was much the same. It's unlikely that at any point they would have engaged in any sort of martial training, let alone spiritual. Thus, Kold would be especially susceptible to any insults, just as Frieza's pride literally cut him to size.
Now, despite that, there was still a substantial power difference between the Android series with absorption capabilities and Frieza, as well as Kold. If I recall correctly, 19 was at a power level of 88 million, with Kold slightly above Frieza at around ~140m (?). This was bridged by Android 19 goading Kold into attacking headlong with a Death Ball, something that, despite the ease that the Kold line can produce them, is still something that is exceptionally powerful. Let's look at the fight between Vegeta and Goku in canon. Vegeta had to seriously pump himself to his max to produce a planet buster, and even then, it wasn't going to just *bloop* the Earth. Goku, at a power level lower than Vegeta's, was still able to hold it back a bit, before going straight out with Kaioken. Looking at when Frieza killed Bardock, a fighter at ~20k, the Death Ball *easily* killed the Saiyan warrior, with absolutely no effort. It stands to reason that the Death Ball was an appreciable fraction of Frieza's maximum power in that form. I feel that the Kold line is poorly trained all round, and would put the same effort into an attack when in their higher forms as it took them in their lower forms. Thus, the Death Ball that Kold here produces is a product of rage and lack of restraint. Android 19 absorbs it all and it more than bridges the gap between the two, making it a brutally one-sided fight.
At the end, though, the excess power is unable to be stored effectively. This is a real-world issue for capacitors and batteries of all types, and excess current can seriously fry any electrical device. Thus, its systems shut down to protect it. We will see the outcome of its request...soon, and I think it will be something no one sees coming.
