Percy and his sisters sat at the table, waiting for their mother to get done with breakfast, while they, the trainers, planned and plotted their course of action, once on the road. Percy, wanted to blitz through Viridian, and get through the forest, so he could get to Pewter city, eager and determined to beat Brock. (1)

However, Nyx was quick to point out, "yes, and how do you propose to do that, with just a Dratini, that only knows a few moves, none of which are very effective on rock types? Thunder wave won't even hit them, because they are part ground type. You should do some training in any case, because the Dratini line are late evolvers, and take a great amount of time and patience to raise and train, so Dratini isn't going to be a heavy hitter for a good while, maybe you can find a Mankey, or a Nidoran around route 22?"

Percy thought for a moment, as much as he didn't want to admit it, she was right. If he went in now, half cocked and with no plan of attack or strategy, he, no they would lose, well he did have Suicune, didn't he? But to use her already, especially in the first gym? How shameful would that be? No, he would go with a Nidoran, or a Mankey, for sure.

Thalassa then piped in, "well, Froakie and I won't have a problem, not until Surge, but by then I should have a ground type, or grass type at least, anyways, though I would imagine, that as a gym leader, they will have some ways to cover their weaknesses."

Hemera spoke up, "it's the same with Rowlett and I, but Nyx, you are in the same boat as Percy, Houndour won't do much against Brock or Misty, well her dark type attacks could do some damage, but fire is weak to rock and water."

Nyx told her sisters, "yes, but I plan to also catch a Mankey or a Nidoran for myself, truth be told, I don't really have any other options, at least not between here and Pewter city. Although if we were to skip Pewter, and maybe go to a different town? We would have many other options to pick or choose from. I digress though, I am fine with whatever you all decide." she then looked towards Percy, because out of them all, his situation was definitely the least favored position.

He then mused aloud, "let's go ahead and continue on towards Pewter city, we will speed through Viridian city, after catching a Pokemon or two of our choice, then we will head into the forest, and get to Pewter. Once there, I will spend a few days training the new capture, and trying to get Dratini to learn dragon rage. That should give me the edge against the Pewter city gym."

Hera then grabbed the attention of the young trainers, "actually even if you did go to another town, you only have a total of five other gyms you could have challenged, because not only does Blaine refuse anyone with less than six badges, but nobody knows where the Cinnabar island gym is, after Blaine abandoned it, due to the recent tourist attraction, that Cinnabar has become, plus, in order to get to Cinnabar, you would either need to get a ship captain to ferry you there, or get a very strong water Pokemon to carry you across the water. Giovanni only battles those who have seven badges from the Kanto eight, that is Brock's boulder badge, Misty's cascade badge, Lt. Surge's thunder badge, Erika's rainbow badge, Koga's marsh badge (2), Sabrina's soul badge, and Blaine's volcano badge. With Giovanni being the one to hand out the earth badge if defeated. These eight, being the strongest and most renown gyms in Kanto, have been dubbed as the Kanto eight. Of course there are other, smaller and weaker gyms spread throughout the region, but they are pushovers." she told them with a smirk.

Amaterasu came into the kitchen, and after kissing each of them on the cheek, much to their irritation, and Hera's amusement, she spoke, "here's a little secret about the gym leaders as well, a gym leader's team of Pokemon, as well as their strength, relies on the badges and experience the challenger possesses."

Thalassa stated, "well, we should probably hit the road then, after all if we plan to catch anything as well as make it to Pewter city by nightfall, then we need to quit wasting daylight."

Quickly saying their goodbyes, and after helping do their dishes and cleaning up any leftover messes they may have made, the young, aspiring trainers rushed out of Pallet town, and on the road to Viridian city. It only took them about three hours to get there, making it around noon. Hemera stepped into the Pokemart, to buy some supplies, such as antidotes, potions, berries, etc. (3)

Meanwhile, Percy and Nyx made good on their intentions and walked over to route twenty two, to find a Nidoran, or a Mankey. (4)

Nyx was sitting on a rock formation, not spotting any Pokemon for the moment, when she felt something wet hit her back, and hearing a splash, she spun around, only to see a small, blue tadpole Pokemon standing there. A Poliwag. She glared at it, knowing it was the one who just hit her, and she was right, because it held a look of amusement in it's eyes, before opening it's mouth and spouting a small burst of water, nailing her in the face.

She sputtered, from feeling the full impact of a water gun to the face, especially a cold one, she shrieked loudly. The poliwag was dancing around now, she glared, before throwing her pokéball, letting out her Houndour. She knew she was a type disadvantage, but she was confident in her friend.

"Houndour, quickly use bite, and dodge the water gun." Houndour ran forward, lunging with her mouth open, as the poliwag let loose another water gun, she dodged and clamped her teeth onto the poliwag. The poliwag let loose a squeal, before shaking off the Houndour, and once freed, it fired off a hypnosis. "Houndour, dodge that, roll and use smog, quickly before you fall asleep."

Hearing her trainer call, she rolled past the hypnosis, and from her open maw, bellowed out purple fumes. Poliwag grimaced from being it by the gas, before recoiling, with wisps of purple smoke flowing off of it's skin, it was poisoned.

Poliwag then lunged at Houndour and spun around, smacking her with it's tail, using double slap. "Houndour, pick it up by the base of it's tail with your jaw, and then slam it into the ground, while on the ground, hit it with an ember, it should finish it off." Nyx said excitedly.

Houndour did exactly that, as poliwag got up, it stiffened, before falling forward, hitting the ground unconscious. Nyx smirked, before throwing a pokéball at it. The ball caught the tadpole Pokemon with no trouble.

Nyx then patted her Houndour on her head, telling her, "good job girl, keep battling like that and you will evolve into a Houndoom in no time at all. Now, let's go see what Percy is doing, shall we?" with that being said, the two walked deeper into the route, finding small streams and bushes, along with little clusters of trees and some small caves. (5)

Hearing the noises of battle, the two sped up, halting when coming upon the scene of Percy battling a Nidoran, with Dratini. "alright Dratini, use Leer one more time, and finish it with another Wrap."

Dratini opened it's eyes, with a sharp stare, the Nidoran flinched back, the Nidoran didn't stand a chance, it was already weakened and bruised up from the battle, with some small cuts and bruises along it's small, light blue body.

Throwing a pokéball, and capturing the Nidoran brought a smile to Percy's face. Dratini on the other hand, just turned her head away, and slithered back to Percy, and he withdrew her back into the ball. He and Nyx then shot each other grins, and walked back towards Viridian city. Along the way, they met up with Thalassa, who had gone for a swim in the river, while they were busy catching a new Pokemon, and Hemera went shopping, making sure they were well stocked. A quick stop to the Pokemon center, and all of their Pokemon were as good as new.

The four trainers then headed off to the forest. Hemera decided to find a Weedle and Thalassa wanted a Pidgey.

"a Weedle? Are you serious right now? Out of all the possible Pokemon to catch, you want a Weedle?! Are you insane?" an irate Nyx scathed towards Hemera, while Percy questioned Thalassa on her own choice.

"okay I know it's your choice and all, but can I ask, why did you decide to catch a Pidgey now? We could have looked for one on route 1? pidgey's aren't exactly uncommon after all." Percy wasn't quite sure what to make of his sisters' choices on their next catches.

"I know, but it evolves into a pretty bee Pokemon, so I want one." Hemera told her sister.

while Thalassa spoke to their brother, "sorry, I didn't really decide until now." he just smiled, "believe me it's no trouble, after all, like I said, it's your catch, your Pokemon, your call. Nyx, lay off her, it's her decision we respect that and move on. Maybe we will get lucky and run into a Heracross or a Scyther here, wouldn't mind catching either one of them myself." Percy said warmly to Thalassa, while sternly chastising Nyx, who pouted at being reprimanded by her older brother.

"fine, although a Scyther does sound interesting, but they are very rare around these parts, aren't they? Same with Pinsirs and Heracrosses are just as rare." Nyx wondered.

Percy wasn't sure what it was, but something was screaming at him, a sixth sense, if you would. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a glinting edge of something, eyes widening, he dove forward, rolling into a ball, and forward, just in time, because the katanna that was swinging towards him, would have cut his back open, if it connected.

Getting a good glance at his opponent, Percy didn't even bother at trying to hold his snort back. The kid stood short and stocky, wearing old samurai armor, complete with the helmet and the katanna.

"greetings, most worthy adversary, I am samurai, my family has been patrolling and guarding these lands since ancient times. If you wish to traverse through this forest, you must defeat me." the arrogant moron stated. (6)

Percy was about to respond, when his sisters beat him to it. Hemera looked at her brother, and her sisters, and said, "I won't even bother wishing you good luck, I'm going to go and catch a weedle, you may have to come and find me, this trashy loser won't put up that big of a challenge."(7)

Thalassa looking at her brother, asked, "do you mind if I go and look for a Pidgey? This battle shouldn't take you to long."

Nyx, just straight up cackling, told her sisters, "go ahead, but don't be to surprised if we catch up to you two quickly."

Percy shook his head, and told them, "sure that's fine, won't be long though."

Samurai, tired of being ignored and insulted, even though he brings it on himself, threw out a pokéball, and out came a big brown beetle, with two long gray pincers on it's head, this Pokemon, is Pinsir, the stag beetle Pokemon.

Percy's eyes widened, he was shocked, after all he was only expecting maybe a beedril or butterfree, not a pinsir.

He threw out his own pokéball, and out came Dratini, the little blue dragon Pokemon reared her head, ready for battle, and upon seeing the pinsir, she hissed.

"pinsir quick, use vice grip. Crush that puny little Pokemon into dust." the beetle ran towards Dratini with it's pincers glowing white. Percy called out, "Dratini use thunder wave to slow it down, and once it's paralyzed, lower it's guard with leer, and then attack with wrap."

Dratini launched forth a fast, dim yellow burst of electricity, which upon connecting with pinsir, caused it to stop, with static running up and down its body, Dratini then leered, and after seeing the pinsir grimace back, Dratini lunged quickly coiling her entire body around pinsir and squeezing. Pinsir growled with pain.

"ah no pinsir, break free, shrug off the wrap and use your seismic toss attack." pinsir was somehow able to force Dratini off with its arms, before grabbing Dratini and lifting her up into the air, and slamming her down onto the ground, causing some dirt to fly up.

Percy glared through the dust from the impact, believing Dratini to still be in the fight, and sure enough, once the cloud cleared, Dratini, despite having some minor bruising, was pulling her serpentine body up, and upon seeing her foe, she snarled, before opening her mouth, and spitting out a small glob of dark purple, almost black energy. Percy's eyes went wide, Dratini just used, dragon rage, admittedly, a weak one, but still dragon rage. (8)

He was filled with pride, she was already proving to be a good battler. Looking over to the pinsir, he wasn't surprised to see it knocked out, samurai called it back, before throwing another pokéball down, this one releasing a short yellow three honeycomb sections looking thing, with a pink heart on the bottom one, it had two small wings. This Pokemon, is a Combee.

Percy's eyes went wide again, not expecting a Pokemon from the Sinnoh region. Percy then looked at Dratini, and pointed his pokéball at her, and softly spoke, "return girl, you did good, but let's let somebody else battle, okay? That combee doesn't look anywhere as powerful as the pinsir."

He then threw his own ball down, allowing the Nidoran loose, she sat there, on her legs, glaring at the combee. Samurai just laughed, "that puny rat is going to beat my combee? You were better off using the Pokemon before, oh well, quick and easy victory for me then, combee use gust, blow that pathetic thing away."

Percy grinded his teeth together, before telling Nidoran, "run to the side, dodge the gust, jump up to the combee and hit it with fury swipes." she ran towards the left, and jumped, her claws gleaming, before landing right on top of the combee, and raking her claws over and over again, as fast and hard as she could.

Samurai desperately called out, "fly up and spin around, as hard and fast as you can, shake her off, once that is done, use bug buzz, followed quickly by struggle bug."

Percy just shook his head, even if that connected with Nidoran, poison types resist bug types, of course type advantages or disadvantages weren't everything, but he was confident he had this one. He looked up and called out, "Nidoran, use poison sting, and then use scratch, with a final fury swipes." Nidoran opened her mouth, letting out dozens of small and bright purple needles, after her poison sting barrage, she swiped her right paw down, before using both paws and swiping over and over again, claiming victory, as combee was falling down, she used the combee as a cushion for her own descent to the ground.

Percy grinned, her first official battle, and she won. Her trainer's aura of smugness was contagious, because she was feeling pretty damn good herself. Samurai, just bowed his head in defeat, and spoke, "very well, you may pass, but know this, I will get stronger, and I will avenge my defeat here, mark my words." with that being said, Percy and Nyx just turned around and headed off after their sisters.

The four then met up, and headed out of the forest, with the two sisters snickering over Samurai's misfortune. Seeing the exit of the forest, they walked out and into Pewter city, wanting to find a Pokemon center, to heal their Pokemon. (9)

Next chapter we will have some training, a surprise appearance of some trainers (maybe), maybe a mini tournament (maybe), first rocket appearance? Battle with Brock? Who knows?

Still taking suggestions on women to have in the harem, Pokemon to catch, lol

1 – the legendary Pokemon hatched from eggs, were 'captured' off screen.

2 – honestly I don't know if I will be doing all of the extra gyms around Kanto, so I made the main eight, the ones from the games, as well as the ones ash battled in Kanto, the main eight. Koga and Sabrina's badges have been swapped (since the soul badge I think makes more sense being given by Sabrina

3 – didn't really feel like describing a normal shopping center for items, so yea they're all there.

4 – Percy and Nyx really got the short end of the stick in terms of the first two gyms, well kind of anyways. Houndour is part fire type, which means it is weak to both rock and ground from Brock, as well as water from misty, and Dratini doesn't have access to a lot of her good or stronger moves yet, and she grows so slow due to being one of the strongest types of Pokemon.

5 - the routes are going to be big, and more diverse/wild, not just some small patches of grass, there will be caves and ponds, and such, at least in the routes that there can be anyways

6 – let's be honest here, the 'samurai' from season 1 in the forest, was a cringe speaking dumbass, lol

7 – see note 6, and Hemera has no time for losers, lol

8 – yes she used dragon rage, but a very, very weak one, the only reasons Percy just won that match, was because pinsir was very weak, samurai was a piss poor trainer, and Dratini managed to fire off a small dragon rage, Percy got lucky.

9 – I didn't show Hemera or thalassa's capture on screen, I know, for a few reasons, but tell me your reasons? I'm curious as to what you all think, lol
