Inside the back room, Twice got comfortable for what could be a long discussion or a short one. Didn't matter what length this talk was, he was going to be comfortable.
Kurogiri stood by Shigaraki's side as he sat on the couch. Dabi kept standing, suspicious and not willing to get comfortable.
Here we go, I guess. Toru thought. She still didn't really trust Dabi, but All for One did. And that meant she shouldn't question his loyalty either, even if he was a Todoroki.
She sat on the arm of the sofa, near enough to Kurogiri that she could tug on his sleeve if she needed anything or needed to portal away.
"Fancy back room you got here." Dabi commented, looking around. "I didn't know this place was here."
"It's a secret!" Twice explained to him, "It's where the League does all their big important deals!"
"None of you had gotten clearance to know about the back room yet." Kurogiri explained. "Because well…"
"We don't know which of you are going to survive the Summer Training Camp Raid." Shigaraki admitted, "Anyone who's captured we don't want them to spill the League's secrets."
Dabi nodded. "So, I guess this means I was deemed survivable?"
"Toga and Compress are survivable too." Shigaraki added quickly before Twice started complaining. "So…We'll introduce them to the backroom eventually. But this discussion isn't about the backroom." Shigaraki crossed his hands.
"Is it about the Nomu you're supplying me? Or is there some secret other objective you're giving to the two of us?" Dabi asked.
"Before we continue the discussion, since this was my idea and my ass is going to be on the line and Master will definitely scold me for this if you betray us, I need to know that what's said here remains a secret. If you risk revealing it, I will touch you, and you'll be dead in moments." Shigaraki threatened. "Are you prepared to keep this secret even in the face of death?"
Twice was the first to respond to such a threatening air. "Of course! You can count on me, Boss! I'll keep your secrets no matter what. I won't even tell Toga. You can trust and believe in me. I want to help as much as I can!" He wasn't even frightened of the threats.
Dabi raised an eyebrow. He sat down, a little more interested now that some sort of secret was going to be granted to him. "And if I say no?"
"Then even if my Master has suggested you for this role, I'll have to boot you out." Shigaraki said. "I don't have time for people I can't trust."
At the mention of All for One, Dabi softened a little and his competitiveness drained from his face. He nodded, becoming more serious. "Damn. Must be some secret. I'm willing to keep it. I'd never help those heroes and betray us." Determination was aflame in his eyes.
"This is something that only the highest members of the League know about. Tomura Shigaraki, I, and All for One, are the only ones." Kurogiri admitted.
"Who?" Twice asked.
"All for One. My Master. He was greatest villain who brought about an age of villainy when quirks were just starting to happen. I'll have Kurogiri speedrun you through his history later." Shigaraki waved his hand. He pointed to a monitor that usually said, 'sound only'.
"Ohhhh…Mr. Audio dude." Twice nodded. "WOW! Mr. Audio dude has a name? Wait, no, being serious…I get it. This is a big secret. And you trust me with it? Wait does even Giran not know about this thing?"
Shigaraki nodded. "He's our broker and no, that's how big this secret is."
"I believe it's time to introduce yourself instead of making them wait in anticipation." Kurogiri suggested politely.
Dabi immediately started looking around, as if there was someone else in there with them.
Toru got up off the couch and went over to pick up a blanket so they could know where she was.
Dabi flinched for a moment. He held himself back from firing off flames. "…A poltergeist type quirk?"
"WHOA IS THAT BLANKET MOVING?" Twice was slow on the uptake and pointed.
Toru walked over in the blanket. It didn't give her much of a shape though.
"Hello! It's nice to meet you!" She said as cheerfully and kindly as possible, in her schoolgirl Toru voice. "Or else that's what I would say normally if we met on the streets." She dropped to a colder one.
Whatever Dabi was expecting it wasn't a cheerful young girl's voice, he instinctively jumped back a bit, utter confusion on his face. Then the wheels started turning in his head. "You're…Invisible. No, you couldn't be…"
"Toru Hagakure. The League's Secret Weapon." Toru introduced. "Or if you've already forgotten my name, I'm the invisible girl from UA's Class A, hero course." She explained.
Twice still couldn't string the dots together and jumped up and put his body in front of Shigaraki's. "A hero's infiltrated us, Boss! Don't worry! I'll protect you!"
"Relax. As she said, she's one of us. She's who I wanted to tell you about." Shigaraki explained. "And where we'll be getting our information on the Summer Camp."
"I'm calling bullshit. That's not Hagakure." Dabi insisted.
"Do you need me to put on some clothes or something? Why is it so hard to believe?" Toru asked. Some people only believed in what they saw in front of them. Maybe Dabi was like that.
"No. No. I don't need that." Dabi shook his hands. "No…It's just…I watched the UA sports festival in detail. I might have watched it with more focus than anyone here in the league-"
"I doubt that." Shigaraki coughed.
"Hagakure was a student in 1-A, and she was way too hyper and goody goody to be you. She was way too weak too. She seemed too shallow and girly. That can't be you. Your voice is way too…Emotionless." Dabi pointed out.
Toru sighed and huffed. Dabi couldn't tell that she was crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. "It's called 'lying'. Something I'm sure you know all about."
Dabi glared at that jab.
Finally, it was sinking in that that was the real Hagakure. He didn't want to admit that it made sense, but it was clear that he was accepting it on his face. Still a little stubborn he asked, "Can we really trust a hero?"
"She's no hero." Kurogiri told him. "She infiltrated UA on All for One's orders. She's been in the League much longer than either of you have and was trained by All for One himself."
That got rid of Dabi's questions briefly.
"If it helps, please don't view me as what you saw at the sports festival. I'm not a person. I'm just a tool that helps Master gain information. And my task is currently aiding Shigaraki in his mission and thus by extension, you." Toru explained.
The cold tone seemed to surprise Dabi. He seemed to still be trying to figure out how to feel about this twist.
"We've decided to tell you about Toru for the upcoming mission." Shigaraki explained.
"Wait, wait, if she's that Toru Hagakure…." Twice finally put the pieces together. "Isn't that who we just put a hit out on? Aren't we supposed to kill her?"
Shigaraki sighed. "Yeah. That's why we need you two. Your job is to get her not killed."
"If you wanted her not killed you shouldn't have put a hit out on her." Dabi pointed out.
"That was to ensure she does get heavily injured. We need her maimed without a question of a doubt that she was working with us. It will be her alibi. But we obviously don't want her dead." Shigaraki shrugged. "Anyway, can you two protect her- somewhat, or do I need to call in the magician to help too?"
"He might be joining us later anyway. All for One said he needed to see for himself if he was trustworthy first." Kurogiri explained.
Dabi frowned at the explanation and then stared at the blanket that was Toru.
"Of course, we'll protect her!" Twice volunteered both of them. "Just…One question…Why was I chosen to protect her? I mean I appreciate the level of trust, but I can't do much…"
"It was because I hoped you'd be able to duplicate her. If we injure a clone than the real Toru can be off helping us during her fake recovery." Shigaraki explained.
Twice winced. "About that…So my duplications can't get injured or else they melt away…"
Shigaraki frowned.
"And more importantly…The way my quirk works is I need to have a mental image to duplicate someone, I need to have their exact measurement and how they look in my mind…And Uhhh…Toru doesn't have that. I can't see her so I can't duplicate her. Sorry." Twice apologized.
"CRAP! Then why did we need you then?" Shigaraki yelled.
Twice heavily apologized.
Shigaraki almost lost his temper and grabbed a table. He stopped himself.
"I'll try all I can to protect her though! She is a new friend! Oh, but if I try to protect her it would be pretty obvious we're friends, right?" Twice said.
Ugh. I shouldn't have agreed to sharing my secret with Twice. The only use he had turned out to not work on me. Toru thought. "Tools don't have friends. I'm just…a thing to be used for the league's success."
Kurogiri cleared his throat trying to prevent everyone from fighting. "Back to the point at hand, we have to figure out a good way to injure Toru badly without having her dead. Since Twice won't be able to provide as much help as we thought, will you be able to keep Toru alive, Dabi?"
Dabi was still thinking. He sat down and leaned his head back. "I was going to point out how stupid it was to put a hit on one of your own guys, but then I remembered UA has that rat principal. Of course, he's going to get suspicious if UA's attacked twice."
Shigaraki nodded. "That's why we're giving Toru an alibi."
"I'm glad he's finally playing nice." Twice clapped. "Toru, you're part of the team now! Even if I can't help you, I'm sure Dabi can." He immediately felt close to any league members.
"Perhaps Dabi can manipulate the other members in the vanguard into injuring her but leaving before she's killed." Kurogiri suggested. "We can't afford Toru to be killed so protecting her might be a higher priority than—" Before he could even suggest Shigaraki's original plan wasn't as important, Toru cut in.
"If I do die, it would be a massive inconvenience. It would take a large chunk of time for All for One to train another teenager to infiltrate UA. Although Toga might be able to fill my role…Actually that's a valid back up plan if something goes wrong. She seems like she'd be a good spy." Toru pointed out.
Twice's eyes widened. "No! You're not dying! That's why you told us. Right? To ensure we can protect you. We can do that! Right?" He looked at Dabi frantically.
Dabi sighed. "Now that you have me on board, you won't be dying. I have a lot of confidence in myself." He boasted in a rather bored tone. "She wasn't kidding though about wanting to be treated as a tool. Really the opposite of what I saw in the sports festival. I almost feel a little bad for her level of dehumanization. I've never been a big fan of people being used as tools."
Was he thinking of how Endeavor treated him? Toru could only assume. She was different though. "If you work with me more, you'll get used to it and realize that the two of us are fundamentally different."
Dabi was human. She wasn't. Plain and simple.
"Yeah, I get that." Shigaraki nodded. "But you aren't ever going to shake her out of things. I've known Toru for a long time, and she's never made decisions for herself."
Dabi frowned and tried not to look at Toru. He decided to change the subject. "How much pain can you withstand, Hagakure?"
"Why are you asking that?" Twice asked. "Don't hurt a sweet girl like Toru!" He air hugged the blanket like a mother hen.
"I'm asking because of Muscular." Dabi crossed his hands and leaned forward. "I'm not sure if you're aware but that guy is strong. And he likes to play with his food. I'm asking because I need to know how much of a disaster it would be if Muscular ran into Hagakure. In the event of an emergency, when do we have to run in and stop our own guy? Or is putting on a good show at Hagakure's expense more important?"
Shigaraki didn't answer.
"I'm useless if my identity as a traitor is exposed. So, you should not run in to save me, even in the worst case scenario that I encounter Muscular." She paused.
Twice and Kurogiri were giving rather grim expressions, even if both their eyes were visible.
"I can run if I meet Muscular. I'm confident in my speed. I'll just tell the Heroes I fled for my life. They'll fall for that because I'm just so weak. I'm no powerhouse of strength like Bakugo." Toru explained.
"If Toru's already out from Mustard's gas though…" Shigaraki hadn't answered because he had been thinking. He was chewing on his thumb. "In that unlikely scenario, take Muscular out. She's Master's tool. I don't want to get in trouble…"
Toru was about to protest, but at the mention of Master she stopped. It was probably the only way to quiet her. "I…I suppose then I'll try to stick next to someone else. So that if that happens, I'm not regarded as suspicious because I'm not alone. It will be an internal dispute between villains instead of a rescue." She wasn't good at offering up suggestions to the plan.
"So how much pain can you withstand, Hagakure? You didn't finish answering the question. We need to know so we know how much is too much for this show." Dabi pointed out.
"I can withstand most anything. As Master's tool I've been taught to have a high pain tolerance so that I won't make a sound in danger." Toru responded. "Broken bones, burning, freezing. I can handle it all. However…" She paused.
"You can say it." Kurogiri prodded.
"Bigger injuries are harder to heal." Toru admitted. "I do most of my first aid for myself since I'm the only one who can see me. X-rays can't find me. I don't know if I have a visible blood type, but I've been told my blood is invisible. And threading an IV, I doubt would be possible. Meaning if I get too maimed and I'm unconscious while I've sustained the injuries, or I have lost a lot of blood I might risk actually dying because of the lack of medical help I could receive." Toru explained.
Dabi frowned. "That really limits us. It might have been a better idea to keep you off the kill list and just manipulate Mustard into knocking you out."
"Too late now. Didn't realize all the things that could genuinely kill, Toru. Talk about a glass cannon." Shigaraki muttered to himself. "Can you manipulate Mustard into targeting Toru?"
Dabi nodded. "Are you resistant to poison? With that pain tolerance training—"
"You are correct. Master had me ingest a variety of poisons in lower amounts in case he needed to send me to poison someone. That way both foods could be poisoned. He never ended up using any of those poisoning plans yet though." Toru sighed.
Shigaraki actually looked startled. He clearly hadn't heard of that. And the pain tolerance training had breezed past him. For a moment he looked concerned.
"I'll try to manipulate Mustard into making sure you're in the middle of his vortex then. I've heard that's where the gas is the most concentrated. Work really hard on breathing it all in." Dabi requested.
"I will." Toru nodded.
"I suppose we'll really have to pump her full of gas though. Which is pretty dangerous in itself…" Dabi sighed. "Wear clothes that don't blend into the bushes or something so you can be located after being knocked out." It sounded like he had a headache in front of him.
"I will!" Toru agreed. I suppose I have a hard task ahead of me too. I volunteered to be hanging around someone else as my alibi in case I need rescue. How do I ensure they're in just as bad a condition as me, and I'm not better off than them? I suppose while I'm awake I'll cover their mouth to try to restrict Mustard's gas…
"I'm glad we told Dabi. It sounds like he's very helpful." Kurogiri complimented.
"Sorry, I'm not." Twice apologized.
Dabi grinned. "Of course, I am. Without me you would have failed. You hadn't even thought to ask her pain tolerance." He bragged.
His knowledge is useful, but I'm still suspicious of him…Toru thought to herself. By the way Dabi was looking at her every now and then the feeling was mutual. Unlike Twice who trusted immediately, Dabi just couldn't get there.
Shigaraki and Dabi were discussing various plans as Twice pestered Toru about her interests, and she ignored him. The 'sound only' monitor turned on, no longer muted or deafened.
"Mr. Compress and I have discussed a lot. After meeting him he seems like a charming man who will be useful to the league." All for One's voice came out of the monitor.
"I can't believe that magician got a meeting with Master…" Shigaraki hissed under his breath, chewing on his thumb nail a bit.
Dabi nodded in agreement, although Shigaraki didn't notice it.
"I plan to meet all of the League eventually, Tomura. They could all be useful. Mr. Compress…Just sped up the process by making call outs for me." All for One admitted, smoothly. "He can be trusted. So, I think it's time he met our little spy, as well." He paused. "Kurogiri, come retrieve him."
Kurogiri nodded and disappeared.
"I can't believe we're letting a magician into our secret meeting…. One idiot was enough, but two?" Shigaraki pointed at Twice.
"Hey…" Twice sounded hurt. "That's accurate!"
Compress seems more trustworthy than Dabi. He was smart too. Toru wouldn't have said it, but he seemed the most prepared and strategic to her.
Kurogiri reappeared and Compress walked out of the portal he had created. He tipped his hat. "So, I see I have finally gained access to the secret back room…."
"So, you knew about that, huh…" Shigaraki narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Apparently Master trusts you, just like how he trusts him." He pointed at Dabi.
Compress looked around the room, and then noticed the floating blanket. He pointed in shock.
"This is who All for One agreed to introduce you too." Kurogiri introduced. "The League's high school aged spy, Toru Hagakure."
Toru tried to make a movement that looked like waving. "I was the one sent to your house to deal with your traps. Although you might have already figured that out."
"Ooooh. So, I did have a little visitor!" Compress sounded happy. "It was an honor to entertain you. I knew if the League was truly a smart organization, they would employ a spy." He paused. "But…I wasn't expecting it to be Toru Hagakure from UA."
"To catch you up to speed, Compress, Toru's our friend here. She's been told by some guy named All for One to infiltrate UA, and she's going to give us that sweet information about where the summer camp is!" Twice tried to catch Compress up. "It's our job—Or yours and Dabi's because I'm not very helpful in this way, to keep her safe and only let her be a little maimed instead of dead."
Kurogiri nodded as if to say Twice had the correct information.
Compress sat down, trying to parse what Twice was saying. "Okay. Okay, I get it. I will try to help however I can."
"I was thinking of having you keep an eye on Mustard to ensure that he had Hagakure in the center of his storm. You'll have to stay in the shadows to compress Bakugo when you find him, so you'll be in a better position to keep your eyes on things instead of me who will be using my powers to cause a huge mess." Dabi suggested.
Compress nodded dumbly. "Yes, yes, I can do that…" He put a hand up. "Sorry, I'm still having a hard time parsing that this is the Toru Hagakure that we all saw on TV cheerfully cheerlead during the sports festival."
"It will take a moment. I getcha." Dabi for once was sympathetic to someone else's plight.
"The enthusiastic cheerleading was a ploy to seem like a normal girl. I'm nothing like what you saw on TV. I'm the league's tool-" Toru was about to go into another spiel, but Compress stopped her.
"If you infiltrated my house, you must be quite skilled and strong. I didn't even notice anyone had been in it." Compress complimented. "I thank you for telling All for One about me. And I respect your skills." He tipped his hat.
"Gratitude and compliments won't get you anywhere with me. If you're trying to create good will between us, I don't have opinions like normal people, so it won't help." Toru decided to cut out the getting to know each other.
Twice looked sad. "Well! Even if you don't want compliments or don't think of yourself as a person, I'll be your friend! I can definitely relate to wanting to be useful at any cost. You don't need to be human to have good friends!" Twice offered nicely.
Twice couldn't see, but Toru glared at him.
To try to get more good will in, Twice opened his arms as if to sweep Toru up in a hug.
"CAREFUL!" Shigaraki raised a hand. "She's naked. Hence the blanket." He pointed out. "Her clothes don't turn invisible, so she always has to work fully nude."
Thanks for reminding them. Toru didn't know if a normal person would feel disgust or gratitude. She certainly didn't want to touch anyone naked though.
"Oops, sorry, Toru." Twice said genuinely. He paused though. "Man, that's awful! You're at a hero school, right? The heroes don't use their riches and skills to get you some uhh-"
"Support gear?" Kurogiri suggested the word.
"Yeah, that!" Twice snapped. "And in the sports festival…You had to film…"
"Naked, yes. I believe she took her shirt off in the cavalry battle and the cameras panned to it." Dabi reminded.
"Are you an exhibitionist?" Twice asked, then changed his opinion quickly as he usually did. "How awful! I'll beat those heroes up myself for you!" He pretended he was ready to punch someone.
"It is quite awful that they let a child be viewed nude." Compress agreed, "Even if nobody could see it." Of course, the league was also letting Toru act out in the nude, but he didn't mention it.
Toru felt deeply uncomfortable that Twice seemed to be genuinely sympathetic to her. "It doesn't bother me." She lied.
Only Shigaraki picked up on the lie, raising an eyebrow
"And might I remind you, I am not your friend. Do not treat me as a person. Treat me like a Nomu for all I care. I am not someone to 'befriend' or 'pity.'." Toru said harshly.
Twice looked truly sympathetic. "I feel you! I don't know if I'm a person either. I'm probably a clone of the original me. But that doesn't mean I can't have friends! I'll be your friend no matter what you say, Toru."
Speaking to him is like arguing with a brick wall. Toru thought.
"Is All for One responsible for her attitude? Or is she perhaps a Nomu? No…Nomus can't be that advanced…" Compress mumbled to himself.
Kurogiri an advanced Nomu said nothing.
Shigaraki shrugged. "She's been like this for as long as I can remember. Master said he picked her up out of the trash and that he had polished her into a tool that I could use to destroy the things I didn't like." He didn't think too much of it.
Twice was in his own little world. "Oooh since you're invisible, we can secretly hang out! You can poke me whenever we're having meetings, so I know you're there. Augh…I wish Toga could meet you. She would love you. Another girl who is stealthy? She'd absolutely adore you, Toru."
I don't think she would. She wouldn't be interested in me since she can't see my blood. Toru thought.
"No telling Toga. No telling anyone." Shigaraki reminded. "And Toru won't be listening into our conversations all the time. She needs to get back to school and her fake social activities."
"Being friends with heroes is a tough job." Kurogiri said sympathetically.
Compress batted away a fake tear. "How hard for you." He must have been able to notice that Toru was glaring at him. "I jest." He paused. "So, to get back to the topic of the mission…Hagakure, you've met this Bakugo, that I'll be kidnapping? Do you have any additional notes about him?"
Finally, something about the mission instead of a dumb meet and greet. Toru thought.
"He's violent and hates to lose. Midoriya and him are childhood friends, but he hates Midoriya. I suspect he bullied him rather harshly based on his attitude. But Midoriya doesn't seem to hate him even with the bullying. He's willing to break his own limbs to try to help someone. So, look out for him. His speed has increased a lot too and he's rather smart, able to come up with plans based on observations of people. Try to avoid Midoriya at whatever cost." Toru warned.
"Good thing Midoriya is on the kill list. Even if he's fast and smart, Muscular should be able to take care of him easily. Or the Nomu." Shigaraki pointed out.
"I'll use my magician trickery to fool him." Compress said. "Is there anyone else who would basically die for Bakugo's sake and is thus dangerous?"
"Kirishima seems the type to act impulsive and reckless. I think…Bakugo and him might be together-together. I'm not sure how Bakugo will react if we kill him, since he's on the kill list." Toru admitted. "He might hate us if we kill his boyfriend."
"Or he might have nothing else to go back to in hero society if Kirishima is dead. And he'll respect our skill." Shigaraki suggested.
"Highschool relationships are rarely serious." Twice pointed out. "So cute! I hope they live happily ever after."
"Still, I'll try to avoid nabbing him when he's with Kirishima. The power of love is a fearsome foe." Compress nodded.
"Sero and Kaminari are about his only other friends. So, they might be hanging around him, but neither of them are especially strong or special. Sero, Kaminari and Kirishima all have remedial lessons too because they failed their final exam. So, if you attack while the remedial lessons are going on—"
"We'll have some important people to keep Bakugo and the teachers busy." Dabi smiled. "Nice. Try to give us the time when remedial lessons are going on, if you can make contact with us during the camp."
"Acknowledged." Toru nodded.
Compress nodded, mentally memorizing the new information. "Last question, Hagakure. Is there anyone you particularly like or dislike in your class?"
"Why is that important?" Dabi asked.
"She might have someone we can subtly get rid of. We want to make a destructive splash, right? And Hagakure has the best information about the hero class and who might be a problem to us." Compress pointed out. "And if she likes anyone, I'd like to try my best not to hurt them."
Twice brightened up. "I'll be with Dabi the whole time so I can reign in his destructive impulses, so if you've got any friends-"
Dabi glared at him.
"Idiot, Toru would never have any friends in the Hero course. They're all people who only care about themselves. They all suck. I'll destroy them all eventually." Shigaraki scratched his neck the thought of Toru befriending heroes seeming to trigger him.
"But perhaps she has someone in her friend group that needs to be alive for her cover." Kurogiri suggested, trying to make things less personal so Toru would be more likely to answer.
"I care for no one. I dislike no one. I do not have those feelings." Toru said smoothly. It was a lie. She did dislike someone- Mineta, but she didn't want to tell them that.
If I dislike someone, Master might think I'm disobeying orders and getting too personally invested. Whatever Mineta does has nothing to do with me. This isn't my body, it's Master's. I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay. Toru repeated to herself.
"If you kill my fake friend group I will pretend to grieve. Do not hold back on my account." She said.
Kurogiri had given her an out to name Mina as someone to hold their punches on, but that seemed…. Too human. And perhaps Compress had been told by All for One to ask that to see if she might betray them over potential friends. If she named anyone, she liked Shigaraki and All for One would likely scold her for having feelings, punish her, or kill Mina to spite her.
And I don't like anyone. The only one I can try to keep out of this villainy is Mei because she's not a hero. I don't need to dislike her. Toru thought.
"Told you she had no hero friends." Shigaraki pointed out. He clapped. "Let's not swarm her with popularity now. Let's focus on what's important- the mission to destroy heroes, UA, and All Might."
They all nodded.
Shigaraki's plan is actually pretty good. This time, he can succeed. It's time for UA to go down. Toru thought.
All the villains seemed to be in agreement. And Toru finally had more allies on her side. Even if one of them was practically useless to her.
So in my original plans, Twice and Compress were the ones who met Toru, not Dabi. I can't remember what scene in the summer camp made me decide Compress should know, but after watching it a few times I knew Dabi had to know as well, because of that one scene where he sees Aoyama in the bushes with Toru and Jiro collapsed and just leaves him. (Which uhh we now know why, but I digress).
Originally Dabi was going to find out about Toru himself. Shigaraki wasn't going to let him in on the secret because he just didn't like him/trust him at that point, but Dabi managed to find out himself through a mixture of investigation/and paranoia convincing him someone was watching him (and coincidentally someone was and it wasn't just plain paranoia). I think I changed things because I was worried that would tick off some Dabi fans if he wasn't let in from the get go and had to work for it? But now I'm thinking my original chapter might have made more sense, oops. Either way, what could have been and I'm not going to change the entire thing now. Just thought I might tell you all the original plan and chapter.
