Green Kneesocks here bringing you some People's Under the Stairs fanfiction! It's my life's goal to get a story on the TV Tropes fanfic recs page. You see, one fine day I saw People Under the Stairs for the first time on Netflix and positively fell in love with Roach! (Not seriously, he's Alice's.) I searched and searched for fics about him and found...very little. I did, however, find Sodapop765's fic Roach: Coming Home. But then I saw that the sequel hadn't been updated in a while and I got so sad. After a little bit of depression I decided to ask Sodapop765 herself why she didn't update and she said she was super busy with college and kids and stuff. I had no idea she was so old (Just kidding, twenties isn't that old). So anyway I asked her is I could carry the torch and she was totally Ok with it. She even let me make a few changes. Here's a character sheet starting with Roach's family! David Mathias Cullen Sr.: Born March 20th, 1959 age 32. Roach's father. I've kept him pretty much the same as he was in Roach Coming Home only he doesn't argue with his wife nearly as often. He also doesn't work with his father, he has a job independent of his family who never forgave him for marrying Amanda. Also, Donna didn't come by accident. He and Amanda were forbidden from getting married because they were in their early teens and still in high school so they did what seemed like the only sane thing to do; they made Donna and a year later they made David Jr.(Roach). Amanda Elena Cullen: Born April 11th, 1960 age 31. Roach's mother. I've made her a bit sterner than in Roach: Coming Home because I can't imagine someone who got married at fifteen and intentionally got pregnant would be Miss Sunshine all the time. She doesn't hate her lot in life, she just thinks that she could have been saner back then. She loves all of her children but that doesn't mean she has to like everything they do. Belladonna Marie Cullen (Donna): Born January 15th 1975. Age 16th. Roach's big sister. The sociological, anthropoligcal, filmographer, busybody. She blames, herself, a little bit for how Roach was stolen back in 1981 when she was six, Roach was fifteen, and Trysta was three. She wants to preserve all the moments of Roach's life and she hopes to make an award winning documentary about his life which will lead to fame and fortune and getting out of New Jersey. She's Debbie O'Dell's best friend since childhood. David Mathias Cullen Jr.(Roach): Born September 27th 1976. Age 14 at start, fifteen later on. Alice's one and only. He's completely devoted to her, going as far as to stay in the house to keep her safe until he got shot. He knew his death was near so he helped her and Fool escape, even going out the window and into the garden pond first so his body could break Alice's fall. He lived and stayed in the hospital for a few weeks before going home. He's a little bitter about loosing ten years of his life to the Robeson's and he's depressed about how horrible his life was. He's happiest around Alice and does whatever he can to make her happy. As long as he's with her he doesn't have to face his horrible life. Trysta River Cullen: Born June 14th 1979 age 12. Roach's younger sister. She's a snarky sort of a person and ping pongs between wanting to be an adult and holding onto her childhood. She has a crush on Fool but isn't sure what to do with it. She has Donna's busy body tendencies but not nearly as bad as Donna. she mostly likes to do her own thing and be on her own, something impossible in the crowded Cullen house. Morgan Prescott Cullen: Born June 1st 1981 age 10. Roach's only younger brother. He takes after his father in the sense that he has terrible ideas and thinks they're wonderful. He at first lashes out against having Roach in the house, not out of dislike for him but out of a ten year old boy's world going topsey turvey. He's unapolgetically himself, even at ten, and considers himself to be a genius with the best ideas ever. Dorothea Louisa Francesca Bianca Lonna Rebecca Cullen (Dot or Dottie, if you call her Dorothea she can't be held responsible for her actions): Born April 1st 1985, age 6. The youngest and newest Cullen to join the family. A first grader trying to find her place as the youngest, cutest member of her family. She doesn't quite understand everything that happened to her big brother but is happy to have him back. A firm believer in aliens, vampires, ghosts and all things supernatural. The doctors swore up and down she was going to be a boy but came out a girl, she takes this is a sign that David Jr. was meant to come back. She considers herself to be the only sane person in her family mainly because she doesn't understand adult life. Future Mrs. Messenger Robeson is she can make it happen. Now onto Alice's family. Ronald Micheal O'Dell: Born October 24th 1942, age 49. The psychobabble spouting head of the O'Dell household. He threw himself into his work after Alice was kidnapped in 1979. When Alice retuned he threw himself into the study of psychology in order to understand her. He grew up with little and rose his way to the. He stayed in the not so well off neighborhood on his wife's insistence because she believed that one day Alice would come back and she wanted to keep the room a shrine. He mistakes spoiling his children for loving them because he didn't have much going on. Mary-Ann Josephina O'Dell: Born November 30th 1944, age 47.The psychobabble spouting mother of Alice. She threw herself just as hard into her work as Ronald did when Alice was kidnapped. She spoils her girls to make up for her lack of time with them. She was always a career woman, even before the woman's movement. She's torn between what she wants for her children and what they want for themselves. |
