Poll: The Chosen Undead and Dovahkiin must face a gauntlet of many demons to get home early- including eight from their own worlds! who shall they be? (please vote fairly, four per franchise, thank you! :3 ) Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 25 stories for Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Elder Scroll series, and Bloodborne. Well, since I've come back, I may as well make it official with a profile update! I'm a 20-something College student aspiring to be a writer. I am insane passionate about Souls, and my every fiction is devoted to it in some way. Essentially, my FanFiction is a sandbox where I let my creativity run wild while I hone my original works, and I've improved massively between then and now. Such creativity falls under two categories: the batshit insane realms of nonsense where anything is possible, rife with utter nonsense, violence, and insensitivity to common decency, and works where I give it my all and do my best impression of a more competent author. If you are at all interested in having a beta reader who will meticulously comb your work and offer the hard truth when necessary, and flatter you if also deemed necessary, I've been a beta for about two years now, so feel free to PM me and ask a veteran. Now, a message to my fans who may visit my profile, and those who recognize me and are wondering, "why in the fuck did Hosen fucking go dead overnight and vanish for over a year with no warning, save a single chapter of a small fiction and very occasional messages." Real Life happened, and it happened hard. I have always had anxiety issues, and the move from highschool to college was extraordinarily nerve-wracking (still not adjusted). I took the erosion of our fair community very hard. DSS was hands down the best thing in my life for the golden year of 2014. Seeing the fire of our community fade, and the Embers scatter one by one: Blight going silent, Souffle quitting for awhile, Earthscraper quitting, Emil dying IRL... I just couldn't cope. It broke my heart and made it impossible to muster the will to keep writing. I give it my all and while I'm proud of my work (at least some of it), its extremely taxing on my mind and body. I know it sounds silly, but believe me, I feel like I've run a marathon after each of my serious works. When I felt I didn't have it in me, I just stopped. I went hollow, simple as that. But, like the tiny embers of lords past, my fire returned and blew away the darkness. I remembered how great this community was, and how much bringing joy to people with my writing gave me purpose. My humanity returned, and blazes brighter than ever before. I'm back. And while I may not be here to stay forever, I'm digging in my heel and staying at it for as long as I can manage it. -Still a proud member of the Dark Souls Society (DSS), and I always will be. Vereor Nox Works so far: The Chosen Undead: The journey of Veres the wanderer through the treacherous land of Lordran Status: Sleeping peacefully for the rest of time. Represents my very undeveloped skills, but i don't have the heart to take it down. The Deadliest Soul: collection of one shot battles between various characters in the Souls universe Status: Completed Top Ten Souls: an opinion piece where i talk about the souls universe as i really see it Status: Left behind, but still open. The Darkest Lord: A tribute to the great Archdemon of the Souls universe- the unholy terror who erases all who dare attempt to oppose him... Status: Complete Death of a Hero: Another tribute inspired by Demon's Souls. Not one of my best and most creative works, but i just had to write this after beating Garl for the first time. In pace requiescat, brave warrior (T.T) Status: Complete The King Of Ruin: an original idea for a map and quest-line design for Dark Souls 3 Status: Complete Scrolls vs Souls: The journey of Dovahkiin and the Chosen Undead to solve their differences- whether they like it or not Status: Returned to Slumber Darker Souls: An open forum for idea's on how to improve souls, or rant about peeves, either works Status: A relic of the old community, never forget. Tales of the Forgotten: Something i shot off when i was depressed, shows the perspective of some of the bosses of the souls universe Status: Silent and unmoving. Dragon Souls: An epic Dark Souls x Skyrim tale, where the dovahkiin and new chosen undead, after a cataclysmic arcane event, team up to bring down Alduin's legions of the dead while locating a gate to the Abyss that threatens the crossed worlds. The Journey seems simple, until the Hero's and Demon's of old begin to blink into existence alongside the Dragons... Status: In-Progress The Apocalypse comes to Lordran: A godawful abortion of the English language i used to break myself out of a fit of depression, featuring a wildly improbable crossover between command and conquer and dark souls :3 Status: Terrible... and complete The Cross Dimensional Tournament of Gods: The promised, rightful Climax of SvS. Two scrubs will enter. A fuckton of baddies will beat the piss out of them. Spoiler: nobody fucking exits! Status: Complete Bloodborne Christmas: Made in honor of the old community tradition of holiday fics. Features that classic touch of Leider Hosen negative IQ and a fuckload of meth. Status: In-Progress, will be completed and uploaded on Christmas of this year. Daughters of the Abyss: My first work after nearly two years of silence. A DLC concept of mostly fanservice and wishful thinking. Status: Complete Faded Embers: My second Dark Souls 3 fic immediately after Daughters. An Alternate universe in which the Ashen One never arrives. Status: In-Progress Some Random Favorite Things of Mine: The Apocalypse Tank: For those of you too beneath me to have ever played Command and Conquer, it is the god of death and destruction in the form of a really, really badass dark blue soviet warmachine. Fuck an 80mm cannon this fucker has two missile pods, two tank cannons, and two sets of treads because it's twice the man you are bitch! The FanFiction community: Because normal people just don't get me Godzilla: Because it's motherfucking Godzilla! Pizza: never ceases to disappoint me Spice: Hot food, peppery food, tangy food- wouldn't have it any other way Dark Souls: It's a drug and a fix- who knew? Anime: Because normal people still don't get me Cry Reads: Voice of a god, voice of a god :3 Some Good friends of mine: EarthScraper: He's not Always the most serious type, but he is HILARIOUS to talk to and is a hell of a lot smarter than the average bear. If grossly vulgar humor be what you seek, EarthScraper is the one true master of Trolling :3 ASouffleToServeTwo: One of the best writers on the website- no doubt about it. He writes many very compelling stories, his grammer is near flawless, his grasp of Lore is all but unparallelled, and all his works are dripping with creativity. He also, as a matter of fact, does do comedy- Dark Lols the EarthScraper level of good humor and is well worth a look. Alone in the Blight: I owe him a lot for getting me into the old community- he was a great voice in the community and held a great deal of respect among us. English is his second language- so many of his numerous stories are are riddled with grammatical and spelling errors, but writing him off or insulting him for over it is a huge mistake: he has great concepts and stories, each one better than the last. ParagonEmil: An intelligent and talented man who whose life was tragically cut short before his time. He was a good reviewer and a good man, and you can still find his stories under username Long Goner, though his masterpiece The Looking Glass will never be completed. He will be dearly missed by this community. August 23, 2014 Mason Tims: His writing- is- amazing! the love and care he puts into his work shines brilliantly and his creativity and characterization are all but unparalleled. The Broken is a spectacular work of fiction, and is novelization, True Strength, outshines everything in its class with a very strong look on the Lore and Combat of Dark Souls II, as well as a colorful cast of OC's and an excellent characterization of NPCs. Aside from being a great author, he is a great person, who really deserves more views and exposure than he does. Mr. Selfish: Has a few stories plus "Why Souls/Selfish Shots" found in Our Dark Thoughts. He was a little rough when i first bumped into him but after giving him a couple of pointers, his skill has blown up enormously and he just keeps getting better with no end in sight. Be warned- his stories will eat your soul- they are so intriguing you will stay up into the wee hours of the night anticipating his next update- run! run you fools before it is too late! X3 His latest fiction, Situation Dark, is not only one of the best AUs I've ever seen, nor one of the best Fictions I've seen, it is one of the best stories I've ever read, it is on par with a bestselling novel, easily, and has gained more praise and yearning for updates than i have ever seen in this community. Gutter Dreams: A new arrival to the site- whose taken the community by storm with her mastery of the Short Story. Her style is morbid and gothic- but at the same time intriguing. Her writings are short- almost too short- but they ooze creativity, are grammatically immaculate, and often accomplish more in a few hundred lines than many in a dozen pages (me X3) eaglescorch: This guy is inhuman- he's only written one story (excluding a pilot he did to check for interest) for dark souls and plenty for Fallout. Some of the best work you will ever read- not perfect- nothing is, but he's top class in the site for sure nic611: fairly new to the site, and expresses concerns about his writing ability. He's very self conscious about his flaws, and is trying to improve though he expresses fears at presenting to an audience. His one story is a good one- so giving it a look alongside some constructive criticism is much appreciated. (\_(\ -This message brought to you by Windblade 67 :3 |
