Fanfiction.net: Launched on 10-15-1998, 23 years ago as of 10-15-2021 "Nobody has failed upward as consistently and spectacularly as the ostensible leader of the free world." -Mary L. Trump, Too Much And Never Enough: How My Family Created The World's Most Dangerous Man (2020), p. 197 I've been on Fanfiction.net since 2012. I write when I can, which unfortunately varies pretty widely, and I focus on getting details right. Big thing is staying open to criticism and feedback, and constantly seeking self-improvement. That, and remembering to have fun with this, as that's really the whole point. Below is a list of every current section of Fanfiction.net where I could even vaguely see myself writing a fanfiction work for it. Odds are, most of these will never happen, so the list is mostly there for my own benefit, in case I get an idea for a movie, book, etc. I haven't written for before. Books- Alex Rider, Cell, Ender's Game series, Everything's Eventual, Gone, Green Mile, Harry Potter, Holes, Hunger Games, Lord of the Flies, Needful Things, Night Shift, Pet Sematary, Stand, Tom Clancy, Worldwar series, World War Z Movies- 1408, 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Alpha Dog, Air Force One, A Few Good Men, A Bug's Life, American Psycho, American Pie, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Battle Royale, Battleship, Captain America, Carriers, Cars, Charlie Bartlett, Children of the Corn, Day After Tomorrow, Despicable Me, Down Periscope, Dr. Strangelove, Doom, Ender's Game, Enemy at the Gates, Elephant, Flushed Away, Finding Nemo, Fred: The Movie, 2010, Ghost Ship, Ghostbusters, Godzilla, Good Son, Glory, Great Mouse Detective, Haunted Mansion, Hook, Home Alone, Incredibles, Iglourious Basterds, Ice Age, Jarhead, Jennifer's Body, Jumanji, Lord of War, Mist, 2007, Monty Python, Monsters Inc., Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Mulan, My Girl, NaPolA/Before the Fall, Night at the Museum, National Treasure, Orphan, Omen, Poseidon, Pirates of the Caribbean, Push, Ratatouille, Red Dawn, Saving Private Ryan, Secondhand Lions, Secret Window, Skulls, Smokey and the Bandit, Stormbreaker, Star Wars, Transformers, Titan AE, Treasure Island, Treasure Planet, Up, Valkyrie, WALL-E, War Horse, x-men, Zero Day, Zombieland TV Shows- Masters of Horror, NCIS, Law & Order: SVU Games- Advance Wars, Army Men, Brothers in Arms, Call of Duty, Command & Conquer, Crimson Skies, Civilization series, Crackdown, Dead Rising, Doom, Elder Scrolls, Freedom Fighters, Grand Theft Auto, Ghost Recon series, Gears of War, Halo, Jade Empire, Jedi Knight, Legend of Zelda, Mercenaries, Need for Speed series, Pokemon, Psi-Ops, Portal, Star Wars, Saints Row, Starcraft, Team Fortress 2, Unreal Tournament, Wolfenstein Others, like the 2005 Xbox and PC game "Shattered Union", have no distinct category and must be classed as Misc fanfictions. Categories exist for Games, Movies, Books, TV Shows, etc. to all be uploaded in the Misc section. On Feedback: Reviews are gold, and I appreciate every one I can get. The longer and more detailed they are, the better, but even one sentence is appreciated. Stories I write can always use some kind of revision, even if only for small mistakes, because in spite of my best proofreading efforts something always seems to get through. If you spot a mistake I've made in a story, PM me about it or mention it in a review. I appreciate help with improving and proofreading my posted stories just as much as I appreciate reviews. As for writing reviews, I do it as much as possible, chapter by chapter. Maybe 1 in 1000 readers on this site leave a review. I try to be that 1 every time I find a story I like. On Other Authors: Below are some especially notable authors I have encountered on this site. -AM83220: One of the best I've ever come across on this website. He writes at a MUCH slower pace than I do, but the quality of his work is hard to overstate. AM83220 has acted as a sounding board for many of my story ideas, and there have been occasions where we have sent messages back and forth multiple times in one day. AM83220 is a superb writer and has been a great help to me since 2013 when he first contacted me after reading "The Second Face". We have been in regular contact ever since, so I can personally say he's still active. -Dethryl: This author and I haven't really interacted, and I have reviewed only a few chapters of some of his stories. But he is probably the best fanfiction author on this site. The quality of his work is outstanding. He is best known for being the writer of the "They Shook Hands" series, in which Harry Potter is sorted into Slytherin House. Books 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 have been completely written in that version, and 6 is in-progress. -1-1 Marines: A decent enough author, but one who writes a lot of stories set in works I'm not familiar with. However, 1-1 Marines has been a big help to me in providing feedback and has reviewed a good number of my stories. I haven't heard from 1-1 Marines since September 2017. -VG LittleBear: An excellent writer who focuses on NCIS, and has been one of the best and most consistent reviewers of my work in that fandom that I've ever had. VG LittleBear's detailed feedback on my NCIS stories has been a source of encouragement and ways to improve for over a year. I haven't heard from VGLittleBear since 2019. -calgabriel: A superb author. This individual is the best thing to have happened to the Zero Day archive on this site in a long time. He has written only 2 stories, but they are GREAT. If Zero Day interests you at all, watch the movie, then read his work. You won't be disappointed. I haven't heard from calgabriel since August 2018. -Jenny wrens: A Canadian author whom I got into talks with in early 2018, Jenny wrens has a friendly, agreeable temperament and has done surprisingly well since starting out in the NCIS fandom, which is where I found some of her work. Jenny wrens isn't a perfect writer, but she does a great job of portraying relationships and the way that the NCIS team is very much a type of family. Jenny wrens graciously responded to my offer that we read and review each other's NCIS work, and I appreciate that. A good writer in my opinion, and one who is open to constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement. On Zero Day: Out of all the fandoms I have posted work for, this one is by far the one I've devoted the most work to. Out of the 49 stories currently uploaded to the Zero Day archive, 30 are mine- 61%. I do not admire, worship, or approve of school shooters, serial killers, or murderers of any kind. I am not writing about this movie because I approve of what the main characters decided to do. I do, however, believe it is vital to study these events and learn all we can from them. I believe that the purpose Ben Coccio had in mind when he made this film was to make people think, and that has always been the reason behind me writing works for Zero Day. On Personal Messaging: I consider it important. I send my share of PMs on here, but most of all I write replies to messages I receive. If you send a message to me, I will reply to it. I can't guarantee a fast response, as I often have a lot to do off here. But bottom line is, if you PM me, I will send a reply. I think it's a good courtesy to observe, but also just a good way of staying active on the site and encouraging other writers. On Writing Requests: I don't do them. I have more than 100 stories posted, multiple writing projects I am working on in my spare time, and plenty of ideas and concepts; I can come up with at least one a week if I even half try at it. I don't have enough time to write all MY ideas. I simply do not have time for anyone else's. I sometimes make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, but that's only with fellow authors I'm already familiar with, or if I make the offer to write a story idea myself, which I have only done once or twice in 7 years. Disclaimers:You do not need to use them except as a polite statement. Posting on your profile or in a story that "I don't own this movie or that game or book or show" does not exempt you from being sued. But there is no reason to fear that anyway. Fanfiction does not constitute copyright infringement unless you are actually selling copies of your work for profit, to my knowledge, and none of us posting on here are "selling" anything we write. Don't concern yourself with some irrational fear of being sued. Just write your stories and enjoy it. My top ten favorite heroes in all of fiction (in no particular order: 1.
