Author has written 46 stories for Naruto, Star Wars, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Aliens/Predator, Bleach, Twilight, Superman, Blade, Dragon Ball Z, Superman, Power Rangers, Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Batman, Supergirl, Game of Thrones, and Batwoman. Updates: Some of the stories I currently have are very old and I need to refresh myself on my own writing. I have a lot of stories that require grammatical corrections and whatnot. In some stories, I have writer's block or I'm not clear on the ending. Some stories, I need to study because I need to be a subject matter expert on the genre at hand to move forward. I welcome people giving me ideas on how to move a fic forward. What absolutely does not work is sending in a review asking for an update or a generic message to simply continue. So, in good faith, I'll try to get everything concluded the way it should be. Requests: I'm open to them but I can't guarantee I will have the time, know-how, or energy to do them. It is especially unlikely if I have never written a story about it. I've had people randomly request stories of me that have never reviewed or read any of my stories. They just request the same idea to as many authors as possible to get a result. That's not cool. For me, it's important to engage with the requestor to work together on a good story that both of us will enjoy. Collaborations: That is my ultimate wish here is to do a collaboration with another author. If you want to collaborate with me on a story, work will have to be done by both parties. Otherwise, it's just a request. Reviews by me: I feel I'm pretty fair and will hold stories to highschool level writing ability. If you have Mary Sues, Gary Stues, plotholes, exposition dumps, plagiarism, inappropriate unironic slash, underdeveloped characters, author substitution for the main character, and so forth, I'll probably roast your story in a polite manner. I'll praise as well if I find an interesting idea or if I think an author has a good grasp of the subject. I especially like the attention to detail and subject trivia used well in a story. I'll keep reviewing a story unless an author asks me to stop. I only desire to help the author better their story and be a better writer. If you block me because you don't like my criticisms, you're pathetic and have no business writing to the public. Reviews by others: I appreciate all constructive reviews. If someone writes a negative review and I think there is a rational basis behind it, I'll concede the point and try to fix the issue if possible. If the negative review is vindictive and uninformed, then I'll call it out. I hope to form a dialogue with reviewers on the subject and the fic. If you're a writer and you review one of my stories constructively, I'll review your stories in turn. Review Philosophy: If you consume free content whether it be youtube, fanfiction, other websites, you contribute feedback every time. It's the courteous, honorable, right thing to do. If you consume millions of words of stories and never review them, you're a morally depraved individual that is self-centered, narcissistic, and lacking human empathy. Don't be that guy. If you read stories and never review them, you go to the 8th Circle of Hell for theft. If you review a story positively when it's poor, you also get sent to the 8th Circle of Hell for flattery. If you criticize stories when you're a poor writer yourself, you get sent to the 8th Circle for hypocrisy. If you think this is unreasonable you can go to the 6th Circle of Hell for heresy. If I read your story, I will review it. If I don't review, it just means I haven't gotten around to reading it. Objective Vs Subjective: Stories on fanfiction are generally not tailored to a specific user unless it's a request. So, personal preference towards a character or plotline is not a valid criticism. If I do not prefer a story, for whatever reason, I'll still be as objective as possible on it. I just want the plot to make sense and for character actions to be supported. Diversity: My personal preference is stories that have a diversity of thought rather than races, genders, orientations, etc. I want to see that dynamic of opposing viewpoints and respecting differences rather than an echo chamber. I want to also show a diversity of morality from evil villains, virtuous heroes, and everything in between with shades of grey. If all of your heroes think the same, believe the same, act the same, and always agree with one another, it's probably bad writing. |
