By the way, i am trying to finish off my earlier stories like Look but don’t Touch which I am currently trying to finish so that I can focus on my other work which has a much greater following such as Sanctuary, The Things We Hide, etc. I just didn’t want to give up on LBDT which I wrote with my co-writer because I’ve been working on it for 6 years. I hope you understand. I haven’t given up on my other stories by any means.

And there hasn't been a character who inspired me to write before until I saw Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead and I just had to write his backstory. I can see that he has inspired a lot of other writers too. Kudos to Norman Reedus who plays him, I know that he was only meant to be a minor character and now he is practically the star of the show. Daryl is such a complex character, full of so many contradictions and I guess I wanted to tell his story and what I think happened to him to make him the man he is. And he is still discovering who is he and who he wants to be quite late in life. And his relationship with Merle is very interesting too - I think we can all relate to having a family member who we love but don't really like most of the time. And the sense of obligation that goes with them - you can't just abandon them although sometimes you just want to cut them off because you know that they are bad news. Just as the saying goes - you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family.

Daryl's Story isn't finished yet but I hope that some other fictional characters can inspire me to write about them in the future.
