Daniel was using a butter knife to spread some frosting on his freshly baked cinnamon roll. His mouth was watering at the sight of it. He only wished Regina would be back by now, he knew already she would be fighting him for it.
"Mr. Colter?" The same woman from the hotel staff caught his attention.
"That's me," he smiled.
"Ms. Mills has a phone call, sir." She held out a wireless phone.
"Oh, I'll take it." He reached for the phone, holding it up to his ear. "Hello?"
"Daniel?" Mal's brow furrowed.
"Oh, hi, Mal!" He smiled.
"Hi, dear. I'm sorry to bother you but I'm looking for Regina. I'm sure she told you she was flying into Tahiti, could you put her on the phone for me?"
"Wha-?" He frowned. "Well, I would if she were here. Regina actually left yesterday."
"Really?" Mal raised from her couch, her concern growing. "Well, that's funny because I've been calling Regina and she doesn't answer her phone. The people in Tahiti informed she never arrived."
"What?" He stood from his chair, neglecting his breakfast.
"You mean she isn't there with you? I was hoping she was." Said Mal.
"No, I'm telling you she left yesterday. She packed her things, mounted the plane and flew off to Tahiti."
"Well, she obviously didn't because she was a no-show in Tahiti."
Daniel's face fell entirely. It didn't take him long to hang up the call with Mal and run toward the reception desk to speak to the manager about the crucial situation.
"Yes, Martin." Mr. Glass spoke on his phone, "It's Sidney from Makatea. Listen, Emma flew a woman over to you this morning. I was wondering if you could check and see if the Swan is in your hanger, please."
"I just spoke to Leroy, he said that Emma didn't make Tahiti." Lily stopped in front of the reception desk, her eyes on Sidney.
"We don't know anything yet, Lily." He informed her, giving his attention back to the phone call. "Yes? Thank you." He frowned, his eyes on Lily and Daniel. "I'm sorry. But it would appear that neither Emma or Ms. Mills made it to their destination."
"Oh, my God." Daniel's eyes grew wide, looking over at Lily who gasped in fear.
"Now, don't you worry. We will radio the sea-rescue and go along with them until they are found." Sidney assured them.
They were fast to gather the first helicopter out, Daniel and Lily mounted the helicopter.
"Listen, I want you to know that money is no object." Said Daniel while focused on the captain.
"You said that already, sir. Listen, best we can say is that the waters haven't risen for over twelve hours. It's a good chance we'll find them."
"Great. What will you do to find Regina?" Asked Daniel.
"Well, fly over the waters and look out the window." The pilot smirked at his co-pilot.
"That's it?" Daniel frowned. "Where's all your equipment? Shouldn't you have some sort of expensive, heavy equipment for this?"
"Relax, Mr. Colter. We'll find them."
"Try breathing very deeply. I find that comforting." Said Lily, taking a couple of much needed breathes. Breathes that Daniel's eyes took right on the woman's breasts as they almost popped out of her blouse.
After that whole incident with the life raft, Emma finally caved and deflated it. She looked on the inside of her plane for three empty small gallons of water. Well, technically they were once milk gallons, but Emma decided to use them for water once the milk was done. And now, given that she was going to find herself being stranded on an island with this woman, it would be the perfect time to fetch for some water.
"What are you doing? Shouldn't you be trying to find a way to get us out of here?" Asked Regina, holding onto two empty gallons that were handed to her.
"Come on. You want to drink water, you have to haul water- let's go." The blonde allowed for the brunette to walk ahead of her, her eyes glancing down toward her ass as they headed through all the vines and leaves of the island.
You know that feeling where you could just feel someone looking at you? That's what Regina was feeling right now, her suspicions confirmed once she caught Emma eyeing her.
"What are you looking at?" She asked her, constantly looking over her shoulder at the blushing blonde.
"Nothing." Emma replied, shaking her head at herself.
"Something."
"Nothing."
"Oh, please," Regina chuckled. "You were practically ogling."
"Ogling?" Emma's brow furrowed.
"Yeah!"
"Hey, let me ask you something," Emma stopped abruptly, seeing the brunette turn to face her.
"What?" Regina asked, hands placed on her hips.
"When you go into a store to buy something like you are wearing right now, what do you say to the clerk, 'give me that outfit or nobody will look at me?'" There was a ghost of a smirk on her lips as she asked this.
"No. It so happens I do like people looking. It just reminds me of how attractive I am. Just not you." Regina sarcastically smiled, watching the blonde frown in annoyance.
Emma scoffed, shaking her head as she walked past the brunette. She couldn't believe she even bothered checking out this woman. It wasn't like she was that damn attractive. Okay- she was, but she wasn't about to admit it.
"If it makes you feel any better, you're not my type." She told Regina, quickly looking over her shoulder.
"Oh, good. Why?" Regina suddenly frowned, quickening her steps toward the blonde to look her in the eye.
"Why?" Emma's brow furrowed.
"Yeah. You know, we're forced to be stuck on this island together- I'm making conversation. Why?"
With a single hand on her hip, Emma worded out the list. "You talk too much. You're opinionated. You're stubborn, sarcastic, and stuck-up." She pointed to her ass next, "Your ass is too narrow and your tits are uneven." Lastly she pointed to the woman's breasts and walked right past her, leaving the brunette to glare down at her own breasts in shock.
Of course, her breasts and ass were fine. Emma knew that. They were too fine if you asked her. The finest she had ever seen, but she wasn't about to give in to the woman that easily.
Why, that- "Hey, you want to know why you would never be my type?" Regina rushed off to catch up to the annoying blonde.
"Nope." Emma's reply was quite plain and simple, leaving Regina to fume even more as she followed her to God knows where.
Regina didn't really know where they were headed. She wasn't even sure if Emma knew where they were going, given that they were walking through endless trails of leaves and more leaves. Leaves that Emma would be releasing too early and would be smacking Regina in the face.
"Hey. Why don't you let me lead for a while, huh?" The brunette finally said, taking the lead as Emma held up a branch of leaves over her head.
"Be my guest. This should be interesting." A tiny smirk formed at the corner of Emma's lips, her eyes trying so hard not to look down south again toward the woman's behind.
Regina leaded, constantly finding herself brushing through the tall leaves of the island, purposely releasing them so they would strike Emma in the face as they did to her. Payback was a bitch.
She had no idea where she was going, but she figured that continuing their destination straight ahead would help them find a stream of water that was clean enough to drink out of. Surely enough, a proud smile stretched out of the brunette's lips that left Emma in awe that she actually found her way near a water stream. She was impressed to say the least.
"Ha!" Regina's grin grew as she looked at a surprised Emma. "You see? I'm not completely useless. I found it." She moved to be closer to the stream, the water sounding around them as it beat against rocks. There was even a rainbow formed over the waterfall that gave it a beautiful view.
Emma moved along to catch up with the brunette, grunting after suddenly tripping over a root that was sticking out of the ground, enough to catch her foot.
"Watch out for that big branch there." Said Regina, not even daring to see if Emma was okay or not, instead she continued her destination toward the water. "Oh, wow. Emma, look at this!" She smiled. "Isn't this just- whoa! Whoa!" Her eyes suddenly grew wide upon seeing a pig appear out of nowhere and stand right beside her, wanting to sniff at her. She ran so fast away from it, she splashed her way into the water until it reached her waist.
"What the hell are you doing?" Emma asked, walking over to the feared brunette.
"What is that?" Regina pointed to the defenseless animal.
"It's a pig, what are you worried about? He's more afraid of us than you- watch. Go on, shoo! Shoo! Ha! Ha!" Emma waved her hands in the air at the animal who quickly turned and walked away from them without a care in the world.
"See?" Emma faced Regina with an I told you so look before turning her attention back to the pig. "Go on! Get out of here! Ha!" She shouted.
The relief that Regina had on her face was soon gone after she felt something slither its way into her shorts, her eyes growing wide and her body as still as ever that her hands even released the two gallons as they floated near her.
"Hey, Emma." She called out to the blonde.
"Shoo!" Emma turned her attention to the brunette. "What?"
"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but, um…" She swallowed the lump in her throat, still feeling whatever slithered into her shorts was swimming near her… Well- near her.
"What is it?" Emma's brow furrowed.
"Some sort of creature has just swum up my shorts." Brown eyes glared up at the blonde, hoping to God she was at least good enough to help her out in this situation.
Emma rolled her eyes but walked over to Regina who was still as possible. She dropped her empty gallon as she entered the water.
"If I were to guess, I'd say it was… A snake." Said Regina.
Emma's lips part, "Oh. That's bad."
Regina glares, "Right. So, what do I do? I mean… I could reach down and just grab it-"
"No," the blonde shakes her head, holding out her hand. "That could be risky. It might be poisonous."
Another glare. "Well, great. So, if it is poisonous and it will bite me, do I really want to allow it to continue to swim around in my shorts?"
"All good questions." Emma nodded. She knew the snake wasn't poisonous. She just liked having this much fun with Regina and how clueless she was about these things.
"Will you just give me something, alright? Advice, input- give it to me. I'm very open to any type of suggestion right now, okay?"
"Just hold still." Emma held out her hands, moving closer to a frightened Regina. "Hold still."
"Still. Right." Regina nodded, her eyes wide upon seeing Emma's hand near the waistband of her shorts. "What are you doing?" She jerked back a little.
"Relax." Emma's hand neared her waistband again, pulling it back while her other made its way inside, feeling around in the dark and inside the water.
"Oh, my God," Regina murmured, her head turning away, her cheeks slightly pink. She could feel Emma's hand down there, but she had to remind herself that it was to save her from the snake- or whatever crawled up her shorts. Nothing else. Why did she have to be in this situation? Why with her? Why now?
She was too filled with fear to even say anything, but even if Emma was respectful about going inside her shorts to save her from the snake, she couldn't help to enjoy their closeness.
Emma felt around without success of grabbing onto anything that resembled a snake, her eyes looking away from the brunette's. There was a slight pink on her own cheeks that made the corner of her lip tilt into a ghost of a smirk. A smirk that Regina quickly glared at.
"For your sake, I better not catch you smiling." Regina spoke through gritted teeth.
Emma couldn't help it, but she held back on that smile that wanted to stretch out across her lips. Suddenly her fingers caught onto something that she was sure didn't belong in the brunette's shorts.
"Oh, what is it?!" Regina couldn't help but shout, feeling how quickly the blonde's hand came out from inside her shorts and tossed a snake right into the grass and leaves that were around them.
She saved her life.
"Thank you." Said Regina, her eyes locking on green ones, which she finally took notice of their color. It was a beautiful green.
Emma nodded. "You're welcome. I have some skills in me." She smirked, feeling her lips stretch out into a full on smile as soon as Regina made her way out of the water.
