Inuyasha lost himself to the demon inside. The sword that should have prevented the change, broken.
He watches as the real Miko approaches, foolishness on her part. The demon blood that runs strong through his veins would cause him to kill her.
His eyes drop to Tenseiga, contemplative.
The incarnation Goshinki lies in pieces strewn around them like bloody confetti. Inuyasha, covered in its blood, warns the Miko away.
"Sit Boy"
His eyes widen as Inuyasha is slammed to the ground. Inuyasha is subjugated by the Miko. Sesshoumaru is momentarily unsure whether he should be angry or impressed, yet when Inuyasha sits up, eyes golden and his scent returned to normal, he is grateful. Grateful to this slip of a woman who walks with her head held high towards danger.
Sesshoumaru waits until they leave to retrieve Jaken and Rin, he returns only to collect the head of Goshinki to request the teeth be turned into a sword.
He has heard of a swordsmith that will take on deviant sword requests. Kaijinbo. If this swordsmith will create a sword for him, then he will be able to destroy those who are out to harm not only himself and his lands, but his brother and the mismatched Packs they have begun creating.
Kaijinbo takes his requisition, but asks for 3 days to complete it and on the third day, he sends Jaken to retrieve it.
Several hours after he leaves, Sesshoumarus impatience causes him to seek the sword and his retainer. He finds Jaken cut in half in the swordsmith's hut and the sword and smith gone.
Inwardly sighing at the loss of silence that returning Jaken to life would bring, he draws Tenseiga.
Following the scent of the swordsmith, he scents his brother, but he is different.
Looking to the sky, Sesshoumaru realizes that it is the night of no moon and his heart begins to race, dawn will break soon and he hopes he is not too late.
As the sun crests over the mountains, he stops. Inuyasha is fine. He stands facing Kaijinbo and the sword with the repaired Tessaiga.
The Youki from the repaired Tessaiga destroys the reanimated body of the swordsmith, sending the new sword flying through the air and landing handle up in the center of the clearing. The evil aura from the sword radiates outward, looking for a new host to take over to achieve its desire to destroy Inuyasha.
He hears that the repaired Tessaiga is too heavy for Inuyasha, but worries that it will no longer protect him from transforming.
Sesshoumaru makes his presence known, and those in the clearing try to warn him against going for the new sword.
Grasping the hand grip firmly, he recalls his father explaining how to overpower the S'ounga. Pushing his Youki into the sword and easily overpowering it.
"Draw your sword Inuyasha, there is something I wish to verify"
Inuyasha's blade is far too heavy for him. That much is obvious when it transforms. Knocking the sword from Inuyasha's grip, Sesshoumaru hopes that Inuyasha will fight like he taught him in his youth.
Inuyasha does not disappoint.
He charges. Sesshoumaru points the sword at him and pushes a small amount of Youki into it. The sword however, still wants its revenge and channels its own youki like small blades cutting through Inuyasha.
The pup stops, head down. The breeze blows towards him carrying Inuyasha's scent. He has changed. Sesshoumaru worries that the sword which was supposed to prevent the change no longer works.
He runs towards his brother, he needs to see this change up close, but Totosai -Damn him- blocks him and they retreat.
