Traveling with his small pack allowed him to slow down and appreciate things differently. He tried to understand the joy that Rin took in something as simple as fishing.

A youki aura he hadn't felt in years, and thought to be long dead pressed against him and he moved away from his pup to meet the owner of this nasty aura.

"If it isn't Touran. I thought you long dead"

"This time I'm going to settle things once and for all" the Panther replied snarkily

"We settled things a long time ago, but if you insist you won't be as lucky as you were 50 years ago"

"Meet at our castle"

With that she disappeared.

"Rin, wait here with Ah-Un."

The ever obedient child just agrees and the two headed dragon coos his confirmation of the task of keeping her safe.

He arrives to the panther castle with just Jaken in tow.

Inuyasha is there, along with a wolf. The wolf keeps saying that his woman has been kidnapped and that Inuyasha let her be kidnapped.

Inside he seethes with rage. Not only did his brother allow her to be kidnapped, but the wolf is stating he has a claim to Kagome.

Sesshoumaru moves ahead, leaving Inuyasha and the wolf to argue. He will rescue Kagome and destroy these panthers once and for all.

The first one he encounters is a younger fire user. She is no match for him, and when he moves to strike a finishing blow, Touran appears with her ice magic giving the young fire panther a chance to escape.

Tourans ice attacks have come a long way in the 50 years since they had last fought and he knows he will need Inuyasha to assist with taking them down.

Reaching the main shiro, he attempts to attack the waiting panthers, but is repelled by a barrier. The wolf also attempts to break the barrier but is unsurprisingly unsuccessful as well.

The leader of the panther tribe, one that he had destroyed before, has been revived by jewel shards, and he can now see Kagome in a mass hudle of humans.

Inuyasha finally makes it into the shiro, and the Tessaiga turns red in his hands. Is that the barrier breaker? Will he be able to destroy the barrier?

A swing that uses the entirety of his body weight and momentum smashes through the barrier.

The fight is on.

The panthers King slams its crusty hand down on Inuyasha, but the pup catches it with the Tessaiga and slices it off.

Kagome is telling off the lesser members of the tribe and leading the other humans to safety.

Pride wells in his for both, but it is when the male panther pins Inuyasha he finally draws his sword. His attack, unfortunately, also hits Inuyasha and the pup choses to fight him instead of their mutual enemy.

The remaining panthers begin raising their youki for an attack, but the ever selfish panther king kills three of them, absorbing their youki so he would revive.

Touran is devastated, he can tell by her scent that she is unable to continue battling. The panther king is now considerably stronger than the first time they fought as he houses three jewel shards. Inuyasha finds this out quickly as he attempts to use the Wind Scar only for it to have no effect.

The Tensaiga rattles in its sheath and he realizes, this being is an undead and the Sword of Heaven can cut through his teether to this world.

He draws the Tensaiga, and with a single bound, a single swing of the sword, he knows the battle is over. The panther demons whose youki and souls he had attempted to steal were returned to their rightful owners. He lands near Inuyasha, and informs him to finish the panther king with the Tessaiga.

His brother makes quick work of what is left of the panther king, but it is enough time for him to seek out Kagome. He does not care that the other humans are there, and by the relief in her scent at the sight of him, she doesn't either.

His hand cradles her jaw and he nuzzles her in greeting.

"Are you well?"

"Yes" she replies returning the greeting.

His gold eyes lock on to her blue ones.

"Does the wolf's claim stand?"

"No" Frustration taints her scent but she is truthful.

"I wish to see you. Tonight?"

"Tonight" she agrees and he turns to leave. He must seek out Rin and ensure her safety first.

"In the mountains, in the breeze, in the forest, in my dreams. Lord Sesshoumaru where are you?"

"Rin"

"Lord Sesshoumaru!"

"Let us be off" he replied, his ward and retainer following along behind him.
