Their second summer in Gravity Falls just ended and already they miss it. But Dipper and Mabel will have plenty to occupy them until they return, as will their friends and family. From the stresses of entering/leaving high school, getting over crushes, dealing with troublesome parents, and the awkward nightmare that is puberty, you don't need monsters to make life difficult.

Dipper makes a sort-of-friend at the inconvenience store. Things go on from there.

The kids become (more) aware of their uncles' money problems.
