Hunger Games

After the unprecedented meeting early in the day, the rest of the morning was strangely calm.

Directly after the meeting, they all grabbed billou for breakfast with Ezereal, Raine, and Jacques. The three had become like friends to the whole group, even to people like Four. It was so odd that they could have this meeting and laugh carefreely, even though tomorrow they would face their worst challenges.

After the breakfast, the group traveled back up to the palace where they entered a room filled with strangely marked, more crude maps with Orion, Aristotle, and Elyssae-Lydian.

This meeting was relatively boring to begin with, filled with mostly discussion of battle strategy, which the girl Annabeth knew a strange amount about. However, it was the end of the meeting that was significant.

They'd come to a discussion over the identity of the forces and who lead them. Katniss exchanged a look with the others in their group. They'd all need to talk later, over the contents of the prophecy and Primordia's threat. The prophecy itself had been a topic prominent on Katniss' mind, particularly the line about betrayal. It seemed so imminent now that they were here.

Anyways, the meeting itself was pretty short, and soon enough, the group was headed back to their wing. Once they were all safely back in the room with the door closed, their tangents began.

"Okay, so we know that this weird Vanquished group knows who we are, which means they likely have forces to parallel ours," Percy began, looking over them as if to confirm what he was saying.

In return, Katniss and the others nodded, worry flashing in her gaze. Who in their right mind would know about the Hunger Games but refuse to stop it?

Katniss stood up. "I think we need to talk about the traitor part here," she said, voicing her inner concerns.

A couple names were thrown out, but none seemed likely.

"Orion?"

"He doesn't seem to be the type of person to oppose them, especially after specifically telling Elyssae-Lydian about everything."

"Luxiosiris? She doesn't trust us at all."

"Well, wouldn't she voice that more if she knew our identity?"

"Uh...Ezereal?"

"Are you insane?"

This went on for a moment before Annabeth spoke up, saying a few words that made everyone pause. "What about Valeigh?"

Katniss thought for a moment. "He seemed to not want Elyssae-Lydian to put her trust in us."

"Plus, he doesn't want all the information going to us."

"It wouldn't surprise me if he had Nysiourau on his side too. Did you see the looks we were getting this morning?"

The pieces all seemed to fit. Everyone exchanged looks of vigilant comprehension. It looked like we'd identified a suspect.
