A/N: Hello dear readers. Here's a one shot that got stuck in my head the other day and wouldn't leave. I think I may write another one based in this universe because I like the idea of it.

Sesshomaru returned to his childhood home. The neighborhood was the same as it had been since he had visited five years prior with the neighbors just being slightly older and the children he remembered being younger were now older teens.

Staring up at the house it felt odd to be there, he felt out of place where it had once been home.

He supposed that traveling, attending school and working abroad had widened his perspective of the world making him realize how small his corner had been.

"Sesshomaru?" Turning around he saw standing behind him was a petite teenager with long brown hair that curled at the bottom. Chocolate brown eyes were set into dainty features as they widened.

"Rin." He replied. The literal little girl next door that would knock on their door looking for playmates and cookies through his own teen years.

"You're home." She smiled brightly at him. "Your parents didn't say you would be visiting."

"They don't know. It was an impromptu trip." He said. Shaking his head slightly he realized exactly how long he had been gone for. When he left Rin had just turned thirteen and still wore her hair in pigtails with a large glittery backpack she walked to the bus stop with.

Now she was in a high school uniform, the last year from the judging by the books she carried in her arms. "Would you like a hand?"

"Sure, thanks." Rin handed off the load to him grateful to be rid of it. "Come on. It's been a while since you've been in my place."

"Yes, it certainly has been."

"I don't want to keep you but do you want something to drink? A snack? Mom keeps beer in the fridge if you want alcohol." She offered unlocking her own door.

"No. I don't want to impose."

"You're not imposing." She laughed out. It was sweet and tinkling making him slightly wary as comforting as it was. "Make yourself at home."

"I do not believe your parents would want you hanging out with a grown man?" He chided placing the books down on the hallway table.

"You're Sesshomaru. We've been friends for forever." Smiling up at him she took his hand leading him to the sitting room. "It's been a long time and I just want to know how your life has been?"

Sitting a distance from him on the same sofa put him more at ease. "Well, I went to school in the United Kingdom. After that I was offered a marketing job in New York City, Manhattan in the United States. It requires me to travel quite often to other regions of North America including Canada."

"Wow. That's amazing." Rin said in awe. "It must be nice to travel so much."

"It can become arduous and monotonous, especially when work related. Typically I am on a plane, at my destination, stay for a day…perhaps two, do my job before I am headed back." He replied.

"Do you go with anyone? Friends? Girlfriend?" Inquiring he shook his head.

"No. Just me." Sesshomaru took in the frown that suddenly adorned her face. "What about you? How is school?"

"I am just finishing up my classes. I have enough credits so the curriculum I have is mainly for attendance purposes which is great because I can take whatever classes

I want." Her mouth turning right side up he smirked at her. "I have some friends, no boyfriend…well I had a boyfriend but it didn't work out."

"How come?" He asked automatically. Rin seemed to fidget slightly in her seat biting down on her lower lip.

"If I tell you, you have to swear to me you will not tell a soul." Rin said in all seriousness.

"Cross my heart." He replied remembering how overly dramatic she would use the saying when she was younger. Giggling she relented.

"Okay. So we…had sex and we got caught." Blushing deeply she took in his shocked appearance.

"Oh." He finally breathed out. "That…sucks."

"Yeah. His older sister caught us and told his mom who told my mother and it was just a mess. We decided to just break up because then the whole school knew." She explained.

"Sounds like you have been leading quite the exciting life." Glancing at his wrist watch he stood. "I should be going." Placing a hand to the top of her head he ruffled her hair slightly.

"Will you be staying for a while?" She looked up to him with her big brown eyes and for a split second a very dirty thought came to his mind with her in that position nearly at his crotch.

"Yes. Two weeks, as long as all goes well." He composed himself straining against the hard on that wanted to make itself known.

"Good." She smiled sitting back. "I'm turning eighteen in a few days. Maybe if you're not busy you could stop by. Inuyasha said he'd come over with his girlfriend."

"Sure." He agreed feeling his heart beat loudly. "Until then."

"Bye Sesshomaru." She said standing to let him out. Closing the door behind him Rin let out an exasperated sigh. She had always had a crush on him growing up but she had chalked it up to her memories of him had her seeing him with rose tinted glasses. "Oh my god…he's so hot."

Tightening her thighs she bit her lip before running up to her room. Closing her door she quickly dropped her panties and began assaulting her wet slit. "Yes, oh yes. Oh Sesshomaru. I want you." She whined as she played with herself.

Breathing heavily she imagined them still on the sofa with him leaning over her unbuttoning her shirt slowly nipping at her ear. Entangling her fingers in his long platinum hair she would find his lips and crush them with her own. "That's good, yeah…oh right there."

The day of her party her friends Kagome and Sango came over. It was then that Sesshomaru learned his younger brother was dating. Miroku accompanied Sango along with her little brother who was apparently the prior boyfriend.

When Rin had said she was having a party he had expected something more lavish but it was small. Her parents weren't even home. Still they had a good time making a dinner and baking her birthday cake, which exploded in the oven and caught on fire.

All in all it was a fun day with music and dancing, lightheartedness all around. At dusk Kagome went off with Inuyasha while Sango and Miroku bid their good-byes leaving Rin with Sesshomaru.

Sitting on the wooden porch swing watching the sunset Sesshomaru felt bothered by her parents lack of appearance. He could remember them throwing her big parties with Rin always in a pretty new dress.

"Rin, where are your parents?" He asked glancing at her. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes. When she reopened them unshed tears shimmered in the porch light.

"My father doesn't live with us anymore. He left to be with another woman and have more kids. My mom, I was the only one she could have and I guess I was not enough." Smiling softly despite the tears flowing down her cheeks she shook her head.

"Mom isn't home now too often. She comes and goes. When she is it's, it isn't good." Rin cleared her throat. "My dad he pays for everything still; the house, my tuition, groceries…because he has too but now I'm eighteen so as long I keep going to school he will have to keep paying."

"What do you mean?" He wondered narrowing his eyes at her slightly.

"If I don't go to university then once I graduate high school he won't have to legally pay for me anymore. Mom can't and there's no way I could afford to keep the house on top of everything else."

"I am so sorry." He said sincerely. Sniffling she wiped her eyes.

"It isn't your fault." Her voice coming out in a little whine.

"I want to help. I can back you financially if need be." He offered. Rin put her hands up waving them in front of her face.

"No, no, no." She shook her head. "I couldn't accept Sesshomaru. I-I don't want your money."

"Then tell me what you do want." He said. "What does Rin want?"

Placing her hands down she lowered her gaze trying to hide behind her hair. Feeling her cheeks burn with a blush she summoned all of her courage.

Bringing her gaze to his and holding it sternly she took a deep breath. "I want to travel with you. I want to see things with you, and live with you…be…"

Loosing her resolve she glanced away quickly.

"You want to go with me?" He questioned uncertain he had heard her right.

"It's stupid."

"I've missed you." Catching her off guard he held such sincerity as he looked upon her. "You were, are, probably the best friend I have ever had. Which is probably pathetic on my part seeing as how you are ten years my junior."

"Sesshomaru…" Her tone was breathy as she stared at him as he smirked at her.

"Come with me and you will want for nothing. Anything you desire from me is yours Rin." Taking her hand in his she wanted to pinch herself. It was a dream, surely.

"You, all I want is you. My friend, my Sesshomaru." Edging closer to him she wrapped her arms around his middle resting her head against his chest. "Please don't leave me again."

"Promise me that you will finish school here. Give me the date of your graduation and I will be here to take you away, anywhere you wish to go." Embracing her he nuzzled against her hair breathing in the scent of lavender.

"I will. I promise." Moving away to look up at him she worried her lip between her teeth. "Promise you won't forget about me."

"Never." Leaning down he placed his lips against hers sealing their deal. Rin entwined her fingers into his hair reciprocating the kiss and wanting nothing more than to fly away with him.

In matching silvery blue dresses the female graduates lined up with Rin leading the back. Nervously she affixed her cap to her head and smoothed down her graduation gown.

Her hands shook as she clasped them together. In her mind she kept telling herself that Sesshomaru had promised, Sesshomaru would be there. It did little to settle her nerves.

Swallowing hard as the line began to move she followed holding her head high. Hearing an eruption of claps for the graduating class, hoots, and hollers she glanced around the crowd searching for a familiar face.

Sitting right beside Inuyasha and Kagome was Sesshomaru his eyes falling on her and clapping. Finally breathing out she smiled widely giving a small wave before taking her seat.

It was a relief to finally be done with high school. As she took pictures with her friends she couldn't help but feel saddened by the fact that her parents hadn't attended.

Looking up at Sesshomaru though she reasoned it didn't matter to her anymore, he was going to take her away with him on his adventures.

He had rented a nice town car to take them out for dinner before returning home. Stopping at her front door he kissed her hands gently.

"We'll leave tomorrow. The car will be by to pick us up at eight sharp in the morning." He said.

"Just stay here with me." She pleaded.

"I do not think that would be a good idea." He replied. "Patience. I will make it worth your while."

"Rin!" Freezing in her spot her eyes widened with terror as she turned quickly.

"Mama." She called back as the older woman came to the front door and slammed it open.

"Where the hell've you been?" She slurred out. Sesshomaru was in shock. Sato-san had always been a beautiful woman. Petite like Rin with bright eyes and shiny hair. She had made birthday cakes for some of his own parties and was in charge of school functions.

Now she swayed with unfocused eyes and nearly fell over as Rin steadied her.

"It was my graduation today mama. Sesshomaru took me out to eat. You remember Sesshomaru, right? The nice boy that used to live next door?"

"Course I do. What a nice boy." She agreed with a sloppy smile. "Oh, baby. I'm sorry I missed your big day." Suddenly breaking down in tears Rin held her tightly.

"It's okay mama. I know. I know you would have been there if you could have."

"I'll help you get her inside." Sesshomaru said feeling his stomach knot painfully. This is what he had condemned his sweet little friend too, a drunk mother and an absent father.

"Hey, you're pretty cute." Sato-san said perking back up.

"Time for bed Sato-san." Sesshomaru said picking the older woman up and carrying her to her room. Rin assured him all would be well as she got her into the bed and gave her a light kiss on her forehead making sure she had a glass of water next to her.

"Good-bye mama." She whispered before leaving the room and closing the door. Walking to the sitting room Rin sat beside Sesshomaru. "Do you think I'm a bad person for wanting to leave?"

"No." He replied. "Your mother unfortunately made her decision and I will not have her take you down as well."

"Please stay." Rin asked again receiving an affirmative nod from him.

"In the morning we will leave." He repeated putting her mind at ease Rin kicked off her shoes and cuddled against him eager to start her new life with her Sesshomaru.

Rin left a note for her mother stating she would be in touch and apologizing for leaving. She texted her friends to let them know she was traveling with Sesshomaru so no one would worry.

Sesshomaru had her passport made and done in an hour which was awe inspiring in itself. Before she knew it they were on a plane in first class seating. Rin began to wonder if the company he worked for would allow such allowances on their dime.

"Sesshomaru, the people you work for…they don't mind you using the money?" She asked an hour into their flight.

"What do you mean?" He asked glancing up at her from the laptop he was working on currently.

"I saw that you used a company card. They let you use it for every day use?"

He smirked at her. "It is my company so I do not mind if I use it."

"Wait, the place you work for is…you're the boss of it?" Rin felt her jaw slacken.

"Yes. Granted I would have liked to build my own from the ground up this one was an acquisition that I could not pass up when it was offered."

"Oh." She replied. "No wonder you're busy."

"Quite." Closing the laptop he placed it under his seat. "But never too busy for you Rin. Never forget that."

"I won't." Smiling shyly she stretched out and yawned. "Too bad there aren't any beds here."

Standing Sesshomaru grasped her hand and lead her down the aisle. Opening the door to a room Rins eyes almost popped out of her head. "It's a bed. On a plane?"

The cabin was small but cozy with a twin sized travel bed. A television was set into the wall panel so you could lie back and watch a program or movie.

There was a reading lamp as well as blue ambient lighting. The call button for the flight attendant was within reach if need be. "Thank you." She giggled out. "Will you be joining me?"

"It looks to be a tight fit." Sesshomaru practically purred out. Rins heart raced at his sultry tone.

"I think we can manage." Pulling him into the room by the hand he closed the sliding door behind him locking it. Having to lean down he sat on the bed given his height.

Sitting in his lap Rin kissed him deeply sucking on his lower lip and lapping at the inside of his mouth. Nearly growling Sesshomaru grasped her rear kneading the muscle.

Moaning into the kiss Rin wrapped her arms around his shoulders tugging at the back of his shirt. Chuckling softly he broke their kiss to take his pull over off.

"Wow." She gaped at his fine chiseled top. It was as if he were cut from stone.

"Your turn." He coo'd grasping the bottom of her shirt and pulling it over her head. Humming at the sight of her breasts in the lacy purple bra she wore he buried his face into her cleavage licking a trail up to her collar bone.

Rin shivered and gasped tossing her head back as his tongue continued up her throat and to her jaw. She felt herself begin to throb painfully and began grinding her hips into his kissing him furiously.

Laying her down Sesshomaru took off her slip on shoes and began to kiss down her toes to the bottom of her foot. Rin had no idea it was such an erogenous area as he sucked slowly on her toes working his way down her leg, nipping at her ankle.

Squirming her hips she whined slightly as the tickling sensation traveled up her leg straight to her core making her throb. Letting out a little gasp Sesshomaru placed a finger to her lips to quiet her.

Nodding her head once in understanding she bit her lip before parting them again and pushing her head into the pillow.

"Can you open the window shade?" She asked her eyes sparkling in the ambient light. Doing as she asked he pushed up on the window covering to reveal the night sky.

In the direction they were headed if Rin angled her head a certain way she could see stars still so high above them despite being far from the ground and the moon shining brightly.

Shuddering as Sesshomaru drug well manicured nails up her knee and to her thigh teasing just underneath the hem of her skirt.

"Please. Oh please." She whispered softly.

"Please, what Rin?" He toyed with her as he wanted to hear her say exactly what she wanted. Deciding that actions speak much louder than words she took his hand and placed it against the crotch of her damp panties.

Kissing to her knee he thumbed her slit in gentle strokes teasing her as she pushed against his thumb. Taking her other leg she maneuvered it to his shoulders and tried to push him down to her.

Looking up at her he cocked a brow clearly amused by the entire situation. Rin began to become frustrated as his pace was torturously slow.

"I wouldn't be opposed to that if it is what you wanted." Sesshomaru said finally. "I can pay for whatever you want but you will still have the freedom to do as you please. Whatever this is between us Rin, I need you to know, it is not binding."

"You would do all of that for me and not want anything in return?" She questioned timidly. "Why?"

"I want you to be happy. Your smile means more to me than any amount of money." Sesshomaru stated.

Sitting up Rin pushed him back slightly to straddle his lap. "I want you to be happy too Sesshomaru. What do you want from this type of relationship?"

"Just you, for as long as you will let me have you." He whispered gazing into her eyes. "I don't want to let you go again. My little friend, you are very precious to me. Now, here you are a young woman and I have no defense against you nor do I want to develop one."

"Oh lord." Her body trembled as he took his lips to kiss from her mouth to her chin and back up again.

"Hm. I like that." He mused. "Alright Rin, all that I ask is when we are together you call me Lord Sesshomaru."

"Lord…Sesshomaru…" Giggling as he kissed down to her breasts before releasing a breathy moan he hummed in acknowledgement.

Laying her back down on the bed he set back to work to pleasure her with his lips and tongue. Rin fixed her eyes to the night sky watching the world pass by from so high above feeling as if she were flying to the moon.
