Zack Martin, Cody/Jughead's brother has been helping Bailey raise Mackynzie and Micah ever since they've been born, alongside Maya. Life hasn't been the same ever since Cody went missing fifteen years ago. Although Zack married Maya and had children with her, he still feels incomplete without Cody. They did everything together, grew up beside each other, went to school together and he thought he'd raise his children along side his twin brother, but that didn't happen.
But the moment Mackynzie got upset about the fact she may have found her father made all the hairs on Zack's neck stand up. He knew he had to find his brother.
Zack grabbed his jacket and put it on. As he was grabbing his keys, his fifteen year old nephew, Micah looked at him.
"Can I go with you, please?"
Zack shook his head. "Mic, I don't think it's a good idea."
Micah sighs, closing his eyes tightly. "Please, uncle Zack?" He pleads, Zack shakes his head. "Micah, I need to know everything myself, okay? You'll get to have your own time with him when I'm back..."
Micah sighs deeply. "Fine." He mutters as he walks upstairs to his twin sister's bedroom.
Bailey gave Zack a hug before he headed out to see his brother, hopefully.
When Zack headed out of the apartment, he headed downstairs to the main lobby. He stopped in his tracks when he saw a man, who looks just like him, expect he had black hair.
Zack's heart began racing a million times a minute.
Is that my brother?
He walks up to the young man, he took a deep breath, he saw he had a suitcase with him. He was trying to get a room here, but nothing was working.
"Excuse me?" That made Jughead look at his brother in shock. Zack? His older brother was standing right in front of him. Jug wasn't sure who he should go by anymore.
"Zack?" Cody, who now thinks he should just go back to that name. What's the point, right?
Zack nods his head. "That's me. Can we talk, please?" Even though, he was surely mad at his brother for leaving his daughter and son and girlfriend fifteen years ago, Zack knew he needed to know the story before yelling and amusing things.
Cody nodded his head as he grabs his suitcase and wheels it behind him as he follows his older brother to his car, a SUV minivan. They get into the car and Zack turns to his brother.
"Before I start yelling and amusing things, I need to know. Are you really Cody Martin? Why did you leave? Why the hell did you leave your girlfriend and your two beautiful kids? God damn it, Cody." Zack starts to yell, but Cody takes a deep breath.
"Zack, I'm sorry..." Cody starts. Zack's eyes went wide, he shakes his head.
"Are you fucking serious? Are you really trying to say you're fucking sorry for leaving your daughter and son?! Please. That's bullshit. You left because Yale rejected you! You could've gone somewhere else! Bailey didn't even go to fucking Yale!" Zack glares at him.
Cody's eyes widened. "She didn't go?"
Zack shook his head. "Nope. She moved up here when the twins were a year old. I moved here to help her."
Cody frowned. "Oh..."
Zack sighs deeply. "Dude, you missed so much of Kynzie and Mic's life. If Bailey allows you to see them, don't fuck it up. Mack has been struggling not having you in her life. I had to step in to be there for her because all of the girls were so mean to her about not having you."
Cody sighs. "What about Micah?"
Zack laughs. "He's your mini twin. I swear to God. He may look like Bailey, but his personality is so you."
Cody nodded. "And, what about you and Maya? Are you guys still together? Any kids?"
Zack nods his head. "We have seven kids now. Addie and Aydenn are 15, Everleigh, 13, Quinton is 10, Harleigh is 8, Kayden is 7, and our youngest, Maci is one."
Cody takes a deep breath. "Wow. I missed a lot, huh?"
Zack nods his head. "Yeah. Anyway, I saw you have a bag. Is everything okay?"
Cody shook his head. "No, I got kicked out of my house by my crazy wife, so I'm not sure where I'm going..."
Zack nods his head. "I think I can find you a place to stay..." He sighs as he calls Bailey. He sighs deeply when she picks up.
"Zack?" She asks.
"Hey, Bailey. I need to tell you something, okay? Cody needs a place to stay, can you take him in?"
Bailey sighs. "Zack...I don't know..."
"Please? I can't bring him to my mom's. She doesn't know about this yet..."
"Fine. But you are explaining everything to Mack and Micah. They're still shaken up..."
After getting out of the car, they headed up to Bailey's apartment. After she opened the door, Cody walked inside to see his daughter, Mackynzie getting a glass of water in the kitchen.
My daughter. She's so beautiful. She looks just like me.
Mackynzie turned around to see her father standing there in the doorway. Her eyes widened from the shock. She put the glass down and sighed as she walks over to the man who she barely knows.
"Mom?" She asks. Bailey gave a small smile. "Mackynzie, this is your dad, Cody Martin. He'll be here with us for a while..."
Cody just starts tearing up. "S-she looks just like me. So beautiful."
Mackynzie blushes softly. "Thank you..." She looks at her uncle and then at her father. "Wow. You two are really twins, just different hair colors..."
Cody laughs nervously. "Yeah."
Zack turns to his niece. "Where's Mic?"
Mackynzie shrugged her shoulders. "His room, I guess? I don't know."
Bailey sighs. "I'll show you where you're going to be sleeping. Are you thirsty?"
Cody shook his head. "No, I'm okay. I can't believe I have two fifteen years olds now..."
Mackynzie blushes as she sat down on the couch next to him. "Yeah, I can't believe you are here. I thought I'd never meet you." She says, taking a deep breath.
Cody frowns at his oldest daughter. She was hurting because he left. He left his pregnant girlfriend and his kids all of those years ago.
"I won't be going anywhere now, Mackynzie. I can promise you that I want to be in your life now. I missed fifteen years, I'm not missing another minute of your life or Micah's."
Mackynzie wrapped her arms around his neck, buried her head into his chest and began sobbing into his shirt. "I missed you..." She said through her cries.
Cody rubbed her back and pressed kisses on her head. "I missed you too, baby girl, even I didn't even know about you until a few days ago. I'm here forever."
AN: Tears. They're falling y'all. Over the next few chapters you'll get to see Cody, Mackynzie and Micah bond. I'm excited to see their relationship blossom. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
