Episode 548: Enter Korrina!
On the very next morning, Sora and Kairi woke up, refreshed from their sleep, and relieved that their nightmare was over.
"Man, what a ride," Sora said.
"It sure was," Kairi agreed.
Pikachu and Angel jumped into their arms and affectionately nuzzled them.
"Hey, Pikachu, take it easy!" Sora said.
"I'm alright, Angel," Kairi added.
"They seem overjoyed to see you're okay," Nights said, sitting beside them. "They should be after what you've been through."
"We should be thanking you, Nights," Sora said.
"You already have, you two," Nights said.
"We know, but we can't say it enough," Kairi said.
"That's what friends are for, right?" Sora asked. Nights chuckled.
"I can agree with you there," Nights said.
They got out of the tent with Karen tackling them both with a hug.
"You gave me a real scare," Karen said. "Don't ever do that again!"
"Sorry to worry you, sis," Sora said.
"You should be sorry, Sora! I can never look at mom in the eye again, if something happened to you under my watch!" Karen scolded her brother. Sora definitely knew she is his sister for the scolding he was receiving from her. Kairi was giving an earful as well. Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Will, Helen, Nights, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon were really happy to see them in one piece.
Meanwhile over to Team Shadow HQ, a dimensional rift opens up to see a white-feathered chicken. He wore a purple gi with a golden plate on his torso. He has purple circles under his orange eyes, a yellow beak with a small black Fu Manchu. On his head is a purple and gold helmet with a large red feather and around his wrists are golden cuffs. Ganondorf is the first to greet him.
"Welcome, General Tsao," Ganondorf greeted.
"Who are you, and why have you brought me here?" General Tsao asked.
"I am Ganondorf. I brought you here because you seek power; I respect that," Ganondorf said.
"If you are wasting my time, then you will face my wrath," General Tsao threatened.
"Also, you seek vengeance against the ones who have humiliated you: Sly Cooper, the Cooper Gang, and Inspector Carmelita Fox," Ganondorf said. General Tsao looked at the warlock.
"Sly Cooper. He insults my honor by robbing from me, and he takes my bride-to-be by switching that woman and arrested me! I would like nothing more than to restore my family's honor than to exact my revenge against them!" General Taso growled. Ganondorf grinned.
"I thought as much. We are running a membership trail of those who were wronged before. Come, general," Ganondorf said. He leads Tsao to the rest of the Brotherhood of Darkness to introduce their newest member. "Ladies and gentlemen, allow me introduce you to the newest member of the Brotherhood of Darkness: General Tsao."
"A chicken?" Bowser laughed. "What do you plan to cock-a-doodle-doo?" Bowser continues laughing.
"You would be wise to mind your tongue, oaf," General Tsao hissed. "I come from a powerful family."
"Yeah, until the Cooper Gang had your tail feathers thrown in the slammer," Muggshot said. "Also, your family ain't that high and mighty no more."
"I will be again," General Tsao said. "That I vow."
"He's going to fit in here just fine," Marx said, standing on his ball.
If you're wondering why Marx is taking part in it, well, I thought I shed some light after King Dedede was set from their control, Marx and Magolor were brought in the leadership committee despite their failure.
"Agreed," Zarok agreed.
"And now to discuss the matters. As most of you know, we have confirmed our enemies are working together after Wizeman the Wicked's most loyal servant, Reala has failed to trap Sora Ketchum in the Dark Ocean," Ganondorf said.
"A real pain," Looger said.
Stepping forward is a green tyrannosaurus rex-like creature that has dragon wings. He wore a gold crown. He has yellow eyes with red irises. He has a yellow underbelly.
"Then, we should go and stomp them into paste!" The tyrannosaurus rex-like creature said.
"King Drool's right. We have more than power to end them," Devan said.
"We will have to know about their HQ, first. It might be more powerful than we can imagine. We cannot act too rashly," Ganondorf said.
(Author's note: King Drool is the main antagonist of Bonk. He's a tyrannosaurus rex and dragon hybrid. Thought I should let you know.)
Back in Kalos, Nights returned to the SMASH Tower. Will and Helen joined the group for the journey to Shalour City. As they kept going, the group is approached by a teenage girl with medium-length black hair, which is tied back in a ponytail. She has brown eyes and often wears eyeshadow. She wore a modern Chinese dress. With her are six Fighting Type Pokémon. The Pokémon are Blaziken, Hariyama, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Infernape, and Incineroar. They were doing to the same pose as her. Her Blaziken wore a Mega Stone on the center of its chest. The Blaziken has shorter hair and a smaller mask.
"Sora Ketchum, I presume," the girl said.
"Um, yeah?" Sora answered.
"Who are you?" Ventus asked.
"I am known as Chan Lee! Chan Lee of Lavaridge Town. And I came looking for a worthy challenger, so I have found one! It is you!" Chan Lee said.
"Of course you are," Sora said, sighing. "How do you wanna do it?"
"One-on-one. And the one I choose is my Blaziken," Chan Lee said with her Blaziken stepping forward. Sora took a look at Pikachu and he nods.
"Okay, I choose Pikachu," Sora said. Pikachu stepped forward. "Lady's first?"
"Blaziken! Use Blaze Kick!" Chan Lee ordered. Blaziken came at Pikachu with Blaze Kick.
"Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodged and lands a hit with Quick Attack. "Use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu sends Thunderbolt, landing a hit on the blaze Pokémon. Chan Lee raised her wrist with her Keystone on her wrist.
"Time to go with Mega Evolution!" Chan Lee does her fighting poses as Blaziken began to Mega Evolve. Blaziken has now become Mega Blaziken.
"Be ready, Pikachu. Mega Blaziken is much stronger than regular Blaziken!" Sora warned his partner.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Okay, Mega Blaziken! Use Power-Up Punch!" Chan Lee ordered. Mega Blaziken came at Pikachu with Power-Up Punch.
"Dodge!" Sora called out. Pikachu manages to dodge, but Mega Blaziken's speed started to build up.
"Looks like Speed Boost," Will said.
"What's Speed Boost?" Bonnie asked.
"Speed Boost is an ability that builds up the speed in each passing moment," Clemont said.
"So, it won't be easy to keep up with her," Kairi said. Helen looked at Kairi.
"Her?" Helen asked.
"I think she's talking about Blaziken," Terra said.
"How does she know what sex is the Pokémon?" Will asked.
"Kairi can tell just by looking at a Pokémon. She could tell by their mannerisms, and personalities," Aqua said.
"That's amazing," Helen said.
"Mega Blaziken! Use High Jump Kick!" Chan Lee ordered. Mega Blaziken jumped and came down fast at Pikachu.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu tried to dodge, but Mega Blaziken came too fast for Pikachu dodge, so he got hit. Mega Blaziken activated Pikachu's Static ability, paralyzing Mega Blaziken.
"Yes! Pikachu's Static kicked right in!" Veemon said.
"Now that Mega Blaziken's paralyzed, Mega Blaziken will be slow," Patamon said.
"We're about to see," Meowth said.
"Blaze Kick!" Chan Lee ordered. Mega Blaziken swings her leg down at the mouse Pokémon.
"Pikachu! Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings his tail and struck Mega Blaziken on the mark. "Use Thunderbolt!" Pikachu unleashed Thunderbolt, dealing some more damage. "Quick Attack!" Pikachu dashed right at Mega Blaziken, hitting her in the gut. Mega Blaziken goes flying backwards, and on her back. Mega Blaziken reverts back to normal. Chan Lee helped Blaziken up on her feet.
"Are you alright, Blaziken?" Chan Lee asked.
"Blaziken," Blaziken answered.
"You did your best, Blaziken. That's what I expect from you," Chan Lee said. Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hariyama, Cinderace, and Infernape all had her back.
"Hey, that was a good match," Sora said.
"Thanks, Sora," Chan Lee said. "Now, I feel like a double battle!" Sora was caught off guard by her proposal.
"Come on, didn't you have enough?" Sora groaned.
"I heard she loves a challenge," Will said. She noticed Will in the group.
"You're Will Taylor, aren't you?" Chan Lee asked.
"Yeah," Will replied.
"Excellent! Twice the challenge, double the fun! We will make it a tag battle! And the ones I choose are Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee!" Chan Lee said. Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee steps forward.
"Looks like I got dragged into it rather I wanted to or not," Will said.
"You know how I feel, don'cha?" Sora asked.
"I kinda do," Will said. He took out a Pokéball and tossed it. "Go! Cinderace!" His Cinderace came right out.
"Pikachu, don't push yourself too far! Take a breather!" Sora said. Pikachu comes right back to Sora's side, and he took out his Pokémon Box, and he exchanged Honedge for his Lucario. He took Lucario's Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Lucario!" His Lucario came right out, ready to go.
"Sora has a Lucario, huh?" Clemont asked.
"So cool," Bonnie said.
Lucario looked right at Sora, and he looked right back at him.
"Master, it is a thrill to be fighting by your side again," Lucario said through his aura.
"Same here, Lucario. I can tell you have been preparing for a chance to battle since our journey in Sinnoh," Sora said through his aura.
"I have. I have been training non-stop, preparing myself for anything coming my way," Lucario said through his aura.
"Let's put that training into good use," Sora said through his aura. Lucario nodded in agreement as he got ready to battle.
"Hitmonchan! Use Fire Punch on Lucario! Hitmonlee! Use Rolling Kick on Cinderace!" Chan Lee ordered. Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee came rushing towards Cinderace and Lucario, ready to land a hit.
"Lucario! Use Double Team!" Sora ordered. Lucario made several copies of himself. Hitmonchan punches one of the copies, and vanishes.
"Cinderace! Use Agility to dodge!" Will ordered. Cinderace dodged Hitmonlee's Rolling Kick before he could land a hit. "Use Mega Kick!" Cinderace lands a kick onto Hitmonlee.
"Hitmonchan! Use Dynamic Punch! Hitmonlee! Double Kick!" Chan Lee ordered. Both Fighting Type Pokémon came rushing towards the two opponents.
"Lucario! Use Bone Rush on Hitmonlee!" Sora ordered. Lucario and the copies lands a hit onto Hitmonlee.
"Use Mega Kick on Hitmonchan!" Will ordered. Cinderace lands a kick onto Hitmonchan.
"Hitmonchan! Vacuum Wave!" Chan Lee ordered. Hitmonchan sends out a wave of energy, hitting the copies and the original.
"Use Aura Sphere!" Sora ordered. Lucario forms a ball of aura and sends it right at Hitmonchan. "Use Force Palm!" Lucario lands a hit with Force Palm.
"Hitmonlee! Use Double Kick!" Chan Lee ordered. Hitmonlee came right at Lucario with Double Kick, ready to go.
"Cinderace! Pyro Ball!" Will ordered. Cinderace repeatedly kicks a rock, igniting it into a flaming soccer ball. He then kicks the fire ball, launching it at Hitmonlee. The kicking Pokémon was struck by the ball of fire. Hitmonlee was taking down. "You're good to go, Sora!"
"Right," Sora said. "Lucario! Use Bone Rush!" Lucario came at Hitmonchan with Bone Rush, landing a hit. Hitmonchan was now taken down. Sora and Will had both won the double battle. Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee got back on their feet. "So, you had enough?"
"For now," Chan Lee said. "And what an enjoyable battle. And I have gained two new rivals as of this moment."
Just like that, Sora has gained another new rival as well as Will.
A little while later, a tall, slender girl with very long creamy blonde hair tied in a big, thick, high fluffy ponytail that emerges from the back of her helmet. She has gray eyes and a fair complexion. She wore a typical skater attire, consisting of a short white and red sleeveless dress over black cycling shorts and a white and red helmet on her head. In her left hand she holds the Mega Glove, which has the same function as the Mega Ring. She also wore white boots with red heart decals, which also function as skates. She skates through the forest, searching for any trainers to battle.
Over to Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Will, Helen, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon, Chan Lee was joining the group for lunch. Chan Lee was eating like a horse. Chan Lee's Pokémon were the same way.
"She's really putting it all away," Meowth said.
"And I thought Sora was appreciative for Kairi's cooking," Agumon said.
"This is delicious! The best I have ever eaten," Chan Lee said.
"Thank you, Chan Lee," Kairi said.
Just as the group were enjoying their meal, they heard the sound of rollerblades coming. They see the girl rolling on in.
"Hey there! Are you all trainers?" The girl asked. She notices Chan Lee with the group. "Hey, Chan Lee. Didn't expect to see you again so soon."
"Not after that whooping you gave me in our last battle," Chan Lee said.
"You know her?" Ventus asked.
"I battled her and she beat me badly," Chan Lee said.
"Who are you?" Aqua asked.
"Right! My name's Korrina! I've been going around challenging trainers into battle!" Korrina said. A Lucario jumped right next to her.
"A Lucario!" Bonnie said. "Just like Sora's." Korrina's Lucario looked right at Sora's Lucario and approached him.
"Lucario? What's up?" Korrina asked. She looked right at Sora's Lucario. "Hey, whose Lucario is that?"
"Mine," Sora said. "I'm Sora. This Karen, my sister. Kairi, my girlfriend, and Ven, my cousin. And those would be the Digimon, Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Veemon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Patamon, and Gatomon."
"Hello," the Digimon greeted.
"Nice to meet you," Karen said. "This is my Pikachu, Blossom."
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"This Eevee is Angel," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"This Pikachu is Sparky," Ventus said.
"Pika," Sparky said.
"I'm Terra, and this is Thor," Terra said.
"Pikachu," Thor said.
"I'm Aqua and this is Eclair," Aqua said.
"Chu," Eclair said.
"My name's Bonnie, and that's my big brother," Bonnie said.
"I'm Clemont," Clemont said.
"My name's Will, and this is Helen, my girlfriend," Will introduced.
"Hello," Helen greeted.
"As for the rest of us being trainers, we are," Will confirmed.
"Are any of you taking a Gym challenge?" Korrina asked.
"I am, and so is Sora," Will said. He wasn't sure about Chan Lee. "What about you, Chan Lee?"
"I am. I bumped into Korrina on my way to Shalour City, but I got creamed by her when I was heading there," Chan Lee said.
"Great! I was hoping you were, for you see-" Korrina was cut off by a loud grunting sound.
"Fiery Wheel! Booming Chop!" A gruff voice shouted.
"What's that?" Kairi asked.
"I don't know, but it sounds really close," Gabumon said.
The group went to investigate the sound, and they couldn't contain their surprise. They saw an anthromorphic giant panda who wore flame-striped red pants and a blue sash around his waist. He has fireworks around his torso and back. He was fighting against Malefic Pokémon and Team Shadow. The Malefic Pokémon were Machop, Machoke, and Machamp. They had black and white masks on their faces.
"It's Team Shadow and the Malefic Pokémon," Karen said.
"No way. You mean those are Malefic Pokémon? I thought they were just a rumor," Will said.
"No. They're real," Terra said.
"Who's that panda?" Meowth asked.
"I think someone might know," Sora said, contacting the SMASH Tower. "Sora to SMASH Tower. Come in, SMASH Tower." He waited for a few seconds until Bentley the Turtle answered.
"SMASH Tower here. What's the 411?" Bentley asked.
"Bentley, we seem to have found a lost panda bear here in the woods," Sora said.
"A panda?" Bentley asked. He heard the sound of fighting. "Can you describe this panda to me?"
"Okay, he's wearing pants with a fire pattern, and he's loaded with fireworks!" Sora said. This struck a cord with the turtle. Sly, Murray, and Carmelita were nearby when they heard Sora give out the description.
"Did you say fireworks?" Bentley asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"We'll be right down!" Bentley said.
With that said, the Cooper Gang and Carmelita beamed down from the SMASH Tower and they witness the fight going on.
"What is he doing here?" Sly asked.
"You know him, Sly?" Kairi asked.
"Sure do. It's the Panda King," Sly said.
"The Panda King?" The group all asked at once.
"The Panda King was a member of the Fiendish Five a while back. He helped steal the Thievius Raccoonus," Sly explained.
"He ran an illegal firework ring. He also buried some villages in avalanches if they didn't pay their protection," Carmelita added. "I arrested him after I failed to catch Sly."
"He was also with us when we were trying to open the Cooper Vault," Bentley said. "That doesn't explain what he's doing here."
"Take him down!" One of the Team Shadow peons shouted. "Malefic Rush!" The Malefic Machop and Machoke charged right at the Panda King.
"Palms of Thunder!" The Panda King shouted. He slams his palms in the ground, hitting the Malefic Pokémon.
"We gotta help him," Sora said.
"I agree. Those guys are criminals, and they need to pay their debts to society," Carmelita said. She fired her shot at one of the Malefic Pokémon. The Team Shadow peons all turn to see the female cop.
"Hey, what the hell is this?!" One of the Team Shadow peons exclaimed.
"You are all under arrest, that's what," Carmelita said. The Panda King was surprised to see her.
"Inspector Fox?" The Panda King asked in surprise.
"And let's not forget about us, now," Sly said as he and the Cooper Gang stepped in.
"Cooper?" The Panda King asked.
"Where did they come from?" Another Team Shadow peon asked.
"Who cares? Take them down!" The first Team Shadow peon ordered. "Malefic Rush!" The Malefic Machop, Machoke, and Machamp came for the Cooper Gang.
"Looks like it's time to kick some butt!" Bentley said.
"My favorite time of the day!" Murray shouted.
The Cooper Gang started to fight the Malefic superpower Pokémon in a heated frenzy. Sly smacked them with his cane as Bentley spins in his wheelchair, and punched them with his robotic arms. Murray punches them in the face and slams on them with his signature Thunder Flop. Carmelita fires at them with her electric pistol. The Panda King used his Flame Fu to fight against them. Sora, Kairi, Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Dedenne, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the Digimon joined in the fight as well.
"Got some for one more?" Meowth asked.
"It's Sora Ketchum and his friends! Get them!" The first Team Shadow peon ordered. Korrina joined in as did Will, Helen, and Chan Lee. Their Pokémon were easily getting beaten by the Malefic Pokémon. They heard rumors of Malefic Pokémon being much more effective than regular Pokémon weren't exaggerated at all, but they had to try hard.
"Lucario! Power-Up Punch!" Korrina ordered. Korrina's Lucario lands a Power-Up Punch onto one of the Malefic Machamp. It does little damage, but it builds up its strength.
"Power up as much as you like, because you are no match for the power of Malefic Pokémon!" The first Team Shadow peon said.
"Use Bone Rush!" Korrina ordered. Korrina's Lucario came at the same Malefic Machamp with Bone Rush, but it was smacked by one of its four arms. "Lucario!"
"Okay, Lucario! Aura Sphere!" Sora ordered. Sora's Lucario launched an Aura Sphere and struck the Malefic Machamp, doing some little damage.
"Malefic Punch!" The first Team Shadow peon ordered. The Malefic Machamp attempts to land a punch attack with its fist emitting a white and gray aura.
"Double Team!" Sora ordered. Sora's Lucario made several copies of himself and the Malefic Machamp missed. He growled in frustration.
"Malefic Punch again!" The first Team Shadow peon ordered.
Just when the Malefic Machamp was about to attack, a ball of fire struck the Malefic Machamp.
"Okay, that was unexpected," Sora said.
"Hey, what the hell is going on?" The first Team Shadow peon asked. He got his answer when someone kicked him in the face, shattering his shades. Sora saw it was Natsu Dragneel. Gray freezes the Team Shadow peons and the Malefic Pokémon. Erza struck them with her sword. Lucy smacked them with her whip, and Wendy blew them away with her wind attack.
"No way. Natsu?" Sora asked.
"Call that a challenge? I fought tougher guys than you!" Natsu said.
"Aye, sir!" Happy said, flying in.
Natsu noticed Sora and Kairi in the group. Natsu grinned and he grabbed Sora.
"Hey, Sora! It's been a while!" Natsu said.
"Sora?" Lucy asked. She sees Sora and Kairi. "Sora, Kairi!" She went and hugged the couple. "We actually missed you."
"Hi, Lucy," Kairi greeted.
The rest of the group were caught off guard.
"I don't believe it! Sora, Kairi! I haven't seen you since you left for home!" Wendy exclaimed. Charla flew up to them.
"It certainly feels like forever," Charla said.
"What are you doing here?" Sora asked.
"We could ask you the same thing," Gray said.
"How about we deal with that after we round all these guys up," Meowth said.
"Great idea," Sora said as Kairi made contact with the SMASH Tower.
"Alia, can you send someone to clean up the mess?" Kairi asked.
"I already made contact with the local police in your current position. They're going to be right there in no time," Alia said.
"That's what I wanted to know," Kairi said.
With that said, the Team Shadow peons and Malefic Pokémon were rounded up and tied up in time for the police to come and arrest them.
After the fight with Team Shadow, Chan Lee took one last look at the group.
"Sora, Will, I plan on defeating the both of you when our paths cross again. Until then," Chan Lee said, taking her leave of the group.
"Friend of yours?" Natsu asked.
"A rival we both made," Sora said.
Over to Team Shadow HQ, word of their arrest got around. A Team Shadow peon arrived into Mateus's office.
"Master Mateus," the Team Shadow peon said.
"This better be important," Mateus said.
"We detected a dimensional rift opening in the Kalos region, so we went to investigate. We tried to apprehend the visitor, but Sora Ketchum and his friends arrived and interfered," the Team Shadow peon reported.
"I see," Mateus said. "I trust he has been dealt with at last."
"Unfortunately, no. There was also a band of five individuals who arrived and they helped. They had powers not of this world. They easily took the squad like it was nothing," the Team Shadow peon reported. Mateus was miffed by this bit of news.
"Is that all?" Mateus asked.
"Yes, sir," the Team Shadow peon replied.
"Go," Mateus could only say.
"Master Mateus?" The Team Shadow peon asked, wanting to know his reason.
"I SAID GET OUT!" Mateus yelled. The Team Shadow peon said nothing and fled, shutting the door behind him. "Xande!" And just like that, Xande appeared before Mateus.
"Yes, your majesty. You called?" Xande asked.
"Did you sense anything out of the ordinary?" Mateus asked. Xande looked at his emperor.
"No, your majesty," Xande said.
"There is a development in the Kalos region, and I want you to look into it, and report back to me," Mateus ordered.
"As you command, your majesty," Xande said.
What an unexpected reunion with the wizards of Fairy Tail as well as having to deal with Team Shadow and the Malefic Pokémon again. Did they get in through a dimensional rift like before? Just you wait and see in the next chapter.
