"Andrea, I need you at the office right away," Miranda called out to her assistant.
"Oh, okay...but I have Patricia with me. Should I take her to the townhouse first?" Andy asked, balancing her cell in the crook of her neck while she left the groomers with the big girl on her leash.
"No, I've moved the run-through up and I need you here immediately. Just bring Patricia to the office. That's all." Miranda stated before disconnecting the call without even waiting for Andy to reply.
"Alright big girl, let's go see your mommy at work," Andy said leading the dog to the car. She was glad Patricia was being a good girl and listening to her. She didn't do so in the beginning and pulled Andy wherever she wanted to go. "You smell so good now, big girl. I love the lavender doggy shampoo they used today," she said.
Patricia laid her head on Andys lap in the car as she scratched the big dog behind her ear where she loved it the most.
On the way back Andy organized and rescheduled Miranda's day since she moved up the run-through and when she finally arrived at the office, Miranda gestured for her and spoke. "Oh good, you're finally here. Just let Patricia sit behind my desk, in the corner. You can use the throw from the couch."
"Alright, come on baby." Andy coaxed, referring to Patricia but looking at Miranda.
Miranda smirked but knew there wasn't any time to flirt like they would usually do because the first people for the run-through were already arriving. They'd been flirting like crazy for a while now. They shared looks and smirks that gave both women a warm feeling in their belly and heart.
Miranda found herself becoming increasingly disappointed with the run through and was in a hellish mood afterwards. She sent Andy out on more errands and she came back late just as Emily was about to leave.
"Oh good, you're back," Emily exclaimed snootily. "Miranda has left since she has to make an appearance at that fundraiser. You don't need to bother with the book since she's taken it with her and the dry cleaning has been delivered by Roy, so I suppose you can just go home." She offered, still gathering her purse and coat.
"Awesome, I'll just set the scarves she wanted in her office and leave as well then. See you on Monday, Em." Andy said, feeling happy about an early finish and a free weekend without any official appointments. She went into Miranda's office and set down the scarves before clearing away her glass and empty Pellegrino bottle and putting them in their kitchenette behind her desk. She turned off her computer and all the lights except a little one by her desk. When she gathered her purse and put on her coat she heard a scuffling noise. "Hello? Is someone there?"
No one answered her though and Andy grew a little uncomfortable and tried again. "Hellooo? Emily if this is you, it isn't funny at all, okay? Nigel?" She questioned as she stepped towards Miranda's office where the noise was coming from. She heard the scuffling again and looked for her cell phone. "Shit shit shit!" she whispered in desperation when she couldn't find it in her purse. She looked more closely and finally found it in her coat pocket and when she looked up she squealed. "Holy shit...Patricia. You scared me, big girl. What are you still doing here?" She knelt to cuddle the big girl. "Aw, come here you. Don't ever scare me like that."
She looked around. "So now what? Did mommy forget you? Aww, poor baby girl. Well, let me get your leash so I can take you home with me since no one is home now." Andy put the big dog on her leash and left the office. Once outside the building, Andy decided to buy some dog food for her. Since she had been working for almost two years now for Miranda she knew exactly what each Priestly's favourite food was, even Patricia's.
Andy called Miranda's dog walker to cancel her last walk of the day and since she was usually picked up by 8 pm, she was right on time when she called to cancel. She decided to get the subway part way and walk the rest so Patricia could do her business. She would just let Miranda know later that she would bring the dog home the following day.
"Alright big girl, come on in," Andy said when they finally arrived at her apartment. She set down her things and Patricia stood in the living room looking at Andy curiously. "We're gonna have a sleepover tonight, but first, let me get you some water." She filled a large bowl with cold tap water and set it down for her. Patricia smelled it and took a lick but wasn't that interested. She set a blanket down for her next to the couch. "Here's your spot, get comfortable. I'll be right back," she said talking to Patricia like she was human.
Andy went to her bedroom to get changed and heard Patricia drink some more water. When she came back she found Patricia had settled on the couch. "Oh no that's my couch, off Patricia."
Patricia raised her head and looked at her sideways with puppy dog eyes.
"Nooo, you will not give me that look. Oh alright. Scoot over so we can cuddle at least." Andy stated but Patricia didn't move. "Alright then, I guess I have to pull out the big guns," she said as she opened her favourite treats.
Patrica heard the bag open and jumped off the couch and ran towards Andy.
"Good Girl." Andy cooed as she gave her one. "Alright, now go sit on your spot." She said pointing towards the blanket. Patricia sat down on the blanket and her tongue hung out waiting patiently for more treats. "Ohhh, what a good girl you are." She settled down and Andy gave her two more treats and some ear scratches before getting comfortable on the couch and turning on her tv and deciding to order in some food.
After a while, Patricia stood in front of Andy again. "What is it, big girl?" She put her head on Andy's lap. "Aww, you want some more cuddles. Okay, you can come up for a while until the food's here."
Patricia jumped up and they settled comfortably with the large dog laying on her legs. She seemed rather contented now.
Andy took a picture of the dog on her and decided to send it to Miranda to let her know about her big girl.
"Hey Miranda, I know you're at the fundraiser but once you are home don't worry about Patricia. I found her at the office and brought her home with me. I cancelled her last walk with the dog walking company and took her myself on the way home. She's been fed and as you see, is getting spoiled rotten. I will bring her by tomorrow if that suits you. Andy and Patricia."
After a while, Andy's phone went off and she got a call. "Hey, Miranda."
"Thank god you're still up Andrea, I apologize for your trouble and I will pick her up now I'm on my way," Miranda stated.
"You don't have to go through any trouble it's totally fine…"Andy insisted.
"No, no I'm on my way, Andrea. I'll be there in ten." Miranda hung up.
That was nothing new for Andy so she just smiled and shook her head. "Alright, I guess your mommy is coming to pick you up." She gathered Patricia's things and put them in a pile. She looked around and made sure nothing looked messy. After a couple of minutes, the doorbell rang and she buzzed Miranda up, and with her was also the Chinese food delivery she'd ordered.
"Miranda, hey, come on in." Andy greeted the older woman before turning her attention to the man. "Thank you, sir." She offered as he handed her the food cartons. She stepped inside and stalled when she saw Miranda bend down to give Patricia some cuddles and kisses. It gave Andy the best view of Miranda's ass and she stood there dumbstruck for a moment until Miranda straightened up and turned back to her. "Uhm, hi, you look beautiful." Andy stuttered and set the food in the kitchen.
"Andrea, I'm sorry you had to go through so much trouble today, I hope she was a good girl," Miranda said softly.
Andys stomach tingled hearing those words "good girl" from Miranda's lips. She would definitely be good for her, she thought and blushed. "Yes of course she's been an angel, you don't have to worry. I would have happily brought her to you tomorrow.
"Oh no, the girls will be home tomorrow morning and if they found out I'd forgotten her, I would never hear the end of it," Miranda said smirking at Andy. They had been able to talk more freely for a while now.
"Oh, I see. Hey, since they never have acceptable food at these fundraisers, would you like to join me for dinner? I've ordered Chinese." Andy said beaming at Miranda.
"I'd love to. I'm famished, actually after the incompetence today." Miranda admitted, gazing around curiously. "Your apartment is very tasteful Andrea," she said while Andy prepared them two plates.
"Thank you, that means a lot coming from the queen of fashion. I'm sorry I don't have a dining table though we will have to eat on the couch. Please make yourself comfortable. Would you like some wine?" Andy offered.
"Oh, that's quite alright. It reminds me of my first apartment in London. It was so small I wasn't able to fit a couch in it." Miranda smiled at the memory. "Uhm no wine I drove myself so whatever else you have without alcohol is fine."
Andy poured them some unsweetened ice tea and brought it all over on a tray. "Here you go I hope you like what I've ordered."
"It looks very good Andrea, thank you for sharing it with me," Miranda responded as she tried her food.
"It's my absolute pleasure. I wish I was dressed more properly." She said as she realised she was in her sweats and hoodie and Miranda was in her sexy cocktail dress still from the fundraiser event.
"I think it's perfect," Miranda said softly and smiled at her. "It's very you."
"If I didn't know it better, I'd say you're flirting with me." Andy chuckled nervously. "I mean I know you would never but a girl can dream." She wanted to smack herself for talking about such crap.
"Maybe you do know better," Miranda smirked as Patricia came over and sniffed the food.
"Go back, now Patricia," Miranda said sternly.
Andy was secretly happy to see the dog didn't listen to Miranda either as she kept staring at her. "Hang on," Andy said and got her treats. "Alright big girl come on. Sit on your blanket." She said as she gave her some treats when she did. "What a good girl you are," she cooed softly and sat back down to Miranda.
They enjoyed their dinner together and kept flirting like crazy.
Once done eating Andy cleared their plates and Miranda walked over to her. "Let me help." She said softly and grabbed a towel.
"Oh no Miranda, you're my guest you don't have to..." Andy sputtered.
"I will help." Miranda insisted, giving Andy a meaningful look.
"Okay, thank you," Andy replied, grinning as she cleaned up the plates and cutlery and Miranda dried it all off and set the dishes to one side, unsure of their home.
Wanting to put them away, Andy had to pass Miranda in the narrow galley kitchen. To ensure they didn't collide when she passed her, she held her hips and when she heard Miranda's short intake of breath at the touch, she made the mistake of looking into her eyes. "Sorry..." Andy whispered embarrassedly.
She looked away but soon felt Miranda's hand against her chin, tilting up her face up to make her look into her eyes again. "Let's stop pretending Andrea."
Andy instantly knew what she meant. "Okay."
"Okay," Miranda whispered and leaned in. When their lips finally met for the first time both women couldn't help but moan and shudder at the intimate touch. They pulled each other closer to each other and deepened the kiss.
"Mhhh M'randa...so good," Andy mumbled.
"No talking...more kissing," Miranda muttered. They pulled apart to catch their breath for a second but soon leaned in again to devour each other. They broke apart abruptly when Miranda's phone went off. "I'm sorry that's my girl's ringtone."
"Of course, go take it," Andy said trying to process what the fuck had just happened. She couldn't handle the fact that she just had a hot make-out session with her sexy as hell boss.
"...alright girls, I'll come to pick you up. Yes, give me 20 minutes. It's alright Bobbsey's, I rather have you home if Kate is sick. I love you too. I'll text you when I'm at her house." Miranda closed her eyes and sighed. "I'm afraid I have to go, Andrea. As lovely as this was, my girl's friend has been sick so I have to pick them up from their sleepover..." she said grabbing her purse.
"Oh, of course," Andy said as she helped Miranda in her coat. "I hope they don't catch it.
Miranda turned around quickly and fisted Andy's hoody in her hands. "God, just looking into your eyes makes my knees weak Andrea." She whispered hotly.
Andy couldn't help but kiss her once again and Miranda moaned into her mouth. Realising what was happening, she cut the kiss short. "I'm sorry Miranda, I can't resist you either, especially when you're dressed as sexy as you are right now." She closed her eyes and exhaled. "Alright, go get your girls. Text me when you're home." She said and pecked her once again on the lips.
"I will, thank you for dinner, darling. Goodnight." She said with a last kiss and left.
Andy closed the door and leaned against it and sighed like a lovesick teenager. "Oh my god." She giggled and jumped up and down. Once she calmed down she saw Patricia joining her joy, her tail wagging and her tongue lolling out to make it look like she was smiling. "Oh my god, she forgot you again?!" She said laughing loudly. She took a picture of her and send it to Miranda.
"I guess you're going to have to explain to your girls why Patricia isn't home after all. I have had the most wonderful evening Miranda. I hope this isn't the end, I would miss your lips immensely."
She smiled down at the screen as she added a heart emoji. "Alright let's settle big girl. You can sleep on the couch and I'll take the bed." Andy said, grinning at the big dog.
Patricia jumped up on the couch and was happily laying down. Andy turned out all but one little light so Patricia could find her in the bedroom or get some water.
After Andy got ready for bed and settled as well she checked her phone once more to see a text from Miranda.
"Why don't you come over for breakfast tomorrow with Patricia and we explain together. And no, Andrea, this is not the end, this is a new beginning as I would miss your soft lips. I miss them already. xoxo "
Andy tapped out a reply quickly.
"We will be there. I can't wait as I miss you already. Sweet dreams lovely."
THE END
