Now onto the story
Chapter 2: Meeting Sissi, When X.A.N.A. Attacks
"Are the classes always this easy?" I asked the others as I joined them at their table at lunch. "If so, then I'm definitely going to enjoy Kadic." Odd suddenly slammed his head onto the table and groaned in dismay.
"Well, we all can't be smart like you, Einstein 2," Joked Odd, causing the whole table to look at Odd incredulously; I raise my eyebrows at the name Einstein 2.
"Einstein 2?" I questioned him. "How on Earth did you come up with that?"
"Well, since Jeremy and Aelita are Mr. and Mrs. Einstein." He says, causing Jeremy and Aelita to blush in embarrassment and the rest of the table, including myself, to start snickering. "You are Einstein 2."
"Wow, Odd you finally said something intelligent; the world must be ending," Yumi spoke up, sharing a grin with Ulrich.
"At least, I don't eat like a Hobbit, seven meals a day," I shot back at Odd with a grin, causing the rest of the table to burst out laughing.
"He has you there, Odd," Ulrich said between laughs; Odd started pouting. Ulrich then turns towards me.
"Anyway, I heard you are interested in the martial arts class that Jim teaches," He says. "Yumi and I are also taking it."
"Yeah," I say. "I practice every day before curfew with a Bo Staff."
"A-Bo Staff, interesting," Yumi says. "How proficient are you in its use."
"I'm very proficient in its use," I answered. "I'll show you; meet me at the gymnasium. I just need to go grab it from my dorm."
"Alright, we will meet you there," Ulrich said.
I stood up and took my tray to the garbage, and started to walk out of the cafeteria. I was walking out of the cafeteria when I accidentally bumped into a girl wearing mostly pink- a headband in her black hair, a shirt with a flower over her heart, and a skirt- but wears a pair of black leggings. I fell over, taking the girl with me; I stood up, brushing off my pants as I did, and offered the girl who fell a hand.
"My sincerest apologies Miss…." I trailed off, not knowing her name.
"Elizabeth Delmas, but everyone calls me Sissi," She says, taking the offered hand. She looks up at me. "Are you a new border?"
"Ah, then my apologies Miss Delmas, from walking into you." I apologized again as I pulled her up. "And yes, I'm a new border; my name is Jayden Stones; call me Jayden."
"Oh, by the way, these are my friends Nicolas and Herb." She says, motioning first to a blonde boy standing next to her and then to another boy with glasses.
"Well, it's nice to meet you all, but I got to go get something from my dorm room." So I say, "I'm rooming with Jeremy Belpois. If you want to talk sometime, see you around."
I then ran out of the cafeteria, reaching my room in record time, and then after grabbing my Bo Staff and changing into some martial arts gear, I took off towards the gymnasium. As soon as I reached the gym, I noticed the gang was already waiting for me, with Yumi and Ulrich sparring in the center.
"Hey guys, I'm back!" I yelled unknowingly, causing Ulrich to lose focus on his spar with Yumi, resulting in him being knocked onto his back.
"Finally!" Odd yelled from his position on the ground from where he was watching the spar.
"Sorry, it took so long," I said, offering my hand to Ulrich, who was still on the ground.
"It's fine; we were just watching Ulrich get his butt whooped by Yumi again," Odd said, grinning at Ulrich, who growled at him.
"Anyway," Yumi spoke, getting between Odd and Ulrich holding her hand out to me. "Nice Staff, may I?
"No problem," I said, tossing it over to her. I was soon impressed watching her twirl it around doing flips, rolls, and swings.
"Very impressive, Yumi," I said, motioning her to toss it back. I watched as she tossed it up in the air near a wall. Then, I started running towards the wall behind it, managing to run up it a few steps and then flipping backward, catching the staff, and landing into a roll.
"Wow," Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi spoke with jaws dropped.
I just grinned and walked towards them, putting the staff down beside Jeremy, who was doing something on his computer and was about to comment on it, when it started beeping, and my phone started to go off. I looked at it, and I started to frown when I noticed a message from an unknown number came up.
"Excuse me, but something requires my immediate attention," I said, grabbing my staff and was starting to walk towards the gym doors, reaching for the door handle, when suddenly it exploded inwards, causing me to fly backward into a mat that was along the wall. I looked up and noticed Sissi was standing there with a blank face and holding what looked like balls of electricity above her hands.
Sissi looked towards me and threw the two balls of electricity. I tried to stand up only to stumble back to the ground, and I suddenly felt a pair of hands grab my arms and pull me to my feet. Then, as I was losing consciousness, I heard something from Ulrich that filled me with fear.
"Jeremy, take Aelita, Yumi, and Odd. I will slow down X.A.N.A." I heard as I was being dragged. My last thought before I lost consciousness was.
"X.A.N.A, it can't be,"
