Inside Malfoy Manor, Hermione found herself cowering before Lord Voldemort who was staring down at her with an evil smirk on his face. "Thank you Mudblood for providing us with that useful information." His voice came out in a hiss which made Hermione cower even more. Voldemort turned to the doors behind him and said, "Watch closely, Mudblood."
Hermione swallowed in horror as she watched the doors behind Voldemort open with a bang. In walked Lucius Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange with Harry Potter being levitated behind them. Hermione's eyes watched as they lowered her best friend to the ground. She gasped at the sight of him. Bruises and lacerations covered her best friend from head to toe. His glasses were cracked, and he wasn't moving. "What did you do to him?" she cried in anguish. Tears instantly filled her eyes. "Oh Harry I'm so sorry," she blubbered.
Voldemort ignored her cries and turned to Severus who was standing beside him. "You were a great servant to me Severus. Now the wizarding world will be mine." He turned to the Potter boy and approached him with a sick grin. His foot pushed his face to the side and saw that the boy was indeed out cold. He reached into his robes and took out his wand. "Renervate" he spat at him menacingly. He watched as the boy's green eyes popped opened and met his own. "Good evening, Potter. This is the last time I will ever have to see you again." He began to cast on Harry.
Oh god what I have done, Hermione thought to herself as she watched Voldemort approach Harry. She looked up at Snape and saw him smirking down at her with his eyes glinting in victory.
"I told you your Gryffindor courage was no match for me," he taunted. "Now the world will be free of Mudbloods thanks to your help."
She recoiled at his words. She tried to sit up and move but she realized she was forced to stay planted on the ground. She watched in vain as Harry was tortured. Voldemort casted crucio on Potter and watched as he started to writhe in pain.
Harry screamed in pain. He continued to twist and contort as the pain sent white hot pain over his whole body again and again. When the spell was lifted his green eyes caught Hermione's and he screamed at her, "Why Hermione? Why did you do this?"
Voldemort laughed and laughed. "It's been great fun toying with you Potter, but it is time for this reunion to end." He pointed his wand at Harry's chest. "Goodbye, Harry Potter. Avada Kedavra!" He hissed at him. Green sparks flew out of his wand and Hermione watched in terror as the spell hit Harry squarely in the chest. She couldn't move or react as she watched Harry take one last breath. He laid there motionlessly dead to the world.
"No!" Hermione wailed. She began to scream.
Hermione snapped up in bed screaming from the dream she just had. She quickly clamped her hand over her mouth to stop the screams from coming out of her throat when she remembered where she was. Be quiet! You don't want Snape walking in here, do you? Her eyes quickly darted around the room and saw it was vacant. She sagged back against the bed with a grimace. How long will I be in this fucking place? She rubbed her tired eyes with her fists and heard her stomach growl in hunger. I'm so hungry and thirsty. Will I get something to eat today? She looked down at her arms and saw the pattern of the robes still deeply embedded in her skin from the fight she put on last night. Tears filled her eyes at the memory. Her arms and legs were still sore but that was nothing compared to the feeling she felt between her legs. That bastard! He raped me and left me to cry myself to sleep. Once I get my wand back, I will get my revenge.
Now more determined than ever to get out of here she slowly stood up from the bed and saw that her clothes from yesterday were laid out on a chair for her. She hastily put them on to cover her nakedness before anyone walked in and saw her. She did not want a repeat performance. She approached the door to the room she was in. Her hand reached out to the door and hesitantly touched the door handle. Nothing happened. She twisted the doorknob and she pulled it open. She entered a hallway. She looked left and right and saw no one. She slowly crept down the hall being very careful not to make a sound. Her mind was on one thing, and it was to escape. She tip-toed silently down the hall and she reached another door. She did the same thing as before. She hesitantly reached her hand out to touch it and when nothing happened, she opened it and shut the door behind her. She found herself back in the Headmaster's office. She looked around the room and saw that she was still left alone. She felt a sense of relief swell up inside of her. She took a minute to look at her surroundings. She saw bits of parchment discarded across the desk, a vacant chair without an owner, and numerous paintings along the wall. The paintings were of the previous Headmasters that run the school. None of the paintings seemed to be available at this moment to talk.
Once she finished observing the vacant room, she realized that time was ticking. Who knows when Snape would return to continue to cause harm to her? She quickly bolted to the other side of the room and tried to pull the door open. She instantly realized her mistake. She forgot that there were wards all around the room. An electric shock pulsed through her when she grabbed the doorknob, and a loud piercing alarm went off. She quickly released the doorknob and clutched her hand to her chest in pain. Shit! She quickly looked around for a quick exit but before she could find one the door she tried to enter opened with a bang.
Behind the door Severus Snape walked in with a dark scowl etched into his face. He slammed the door shut behind him and glared down at the little witch. "Did you forget what I said last night? The rooms are warded. Good try trying to escape. You will have to do better than that." His words were cruel and menacing.
Hermione dared to glare back at him. "Let me go you bastard!" she yelled. Her foolish bravery was rewarded with a slap to her face. Her hand reached up and clutched her cheek which was now red from the slap he caused. Tears pricked the corner of her eyes from the slight pain that stung her cheek.
"How dare you speak to me that way? You forget your place little one." His words were unforgiving, and he immediately approached the witch with quick and angry strides. He grasped her chin aggressively and once her eyes met his he instantly delved into her mind searching her memories for where Potter was. He saw the memory of the dream she just had ten minutes ago, and he pushed it aside. That memory did not interest him one bit. He saw the memory of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour getting married. He pushed that memory aside and continued to try to break through her walls. After a minute went by with him thoroughly reviewing her memories, he finally released her with a frown. "Nothing to share?" he asked.
She stepped back from him slowly. She hated being alone with him and the unknowing of what he would do to her was starting to gnaw away at her nerves. She wanted to run. She wanted to hide but her feet were rooted in the spot. "Please sir don't hurt me." The words came out in a whisper.
He ignored her words and instead he called out, "Rigby!"
Not a minute went by when a tiny little house elf appeared in the room. "Yes master?" the elf squeaked in fear.
"Bring me two plates from this morning's breakfast and two cups of tea. Hurry up Rigby. I do not have time for dawdle," Snape spat at him in irritation as the elf hesitated to leave. Once the elf disappeared from the room, he took a seat at his desk and started shuffling his papers around to clear a space. Once the desk was clear he took out his wand and transfigured a chair for Hermione to sit in. "Sit." He motioned to the chair, but Hermione just stared at him in defiance. He rolled his eyes at her disobedience.
Before he could respond to her insufferable attitude, Rigby reappeared with a tray of food. He set it down on top of the desk and bowed his head. "Anything else, Master?" Rigby squeaked in his high-pitched voice.
Snape stared at the elf and glared at him. "Rigby, you will not disclose to anyone who is in this room with me. Is that understood?" That is the last thing Snape needed was for the elves to begin spreading rumors and then word getting out to the rest of the school. He grimaced in thought. Imagine Minerva coming in here yelling about one of her lion cubs being injured by him. He shook his head at the thought. I will not allow that to happen.
"Yes sir! Rigby would punish himself if he did that sir. I didn't see anyone but you," he squeaked. He quickly disapparted away from the room as fast as possible.
The smell of food in the room made Hermione's stomach growl in hunger. She wanted to eat so badly. She hesitantly decided to listen to the dark and sour man. She took a seat in the wooden chair that he conjured up for her. She stared greedily at the plate that was on the tray. The plate had scrambled eggs, crispy fried bacon, and buttered toast. Something so normal instantly made Hermione's mouth start to water. She finally found her voice after sitting there in defiance. "Please sir may I eat?"
Severus took one of the plates off the tray and set it down in front of Hermione. He also set down a place setting for her as well. "You may." The usual bite in his words was gone.
She picked up her fork and began to eat the food in relish. It was absolutely wonderful. She closed her eyes in bliss as the first bit of egg filled her mouth. She continued eating happily forgetting her predicament for the moment. She cleared her plate in minutes and began to gulp down the tea. She relished every bit, not sure when her next meal would be. When she caught him staring at her she blushed hard and looked down at the desk. "Thank you," she mumbled.
He didn't respond to her thanks. Instead, he continued to eat his food, slowly lost in thought. What do I do with her? She is not giving up any information and I don't know how long I must continue this façade with her. Once his food was finished and the teacup was empty, he leaned back in his chair and said, "I hope you enjoyed your meal because that will be the last one you get for a long time. Enough playing games with me. Where is Potter? If you tell me where he is I will consider letting you leave."
She nearly laughed out loud at his words. "I don't believe you. I am not telling you or any of your death eater friends anything. I'm holding my secrets to the grave."
"Weird choice of words, little girl. You just might find yourself at an early grave once I am through with you or if the Dark Lord gets his hands on you," he threatened with a dark scowl on his face. He stood up from his desk and barked at her, "Stand now!"
She slowly stood up from her chair and started backing away from his desk. She was scared by the way he was looking at her and the words he uttered. She continued to back away from him until her back hit the door and she found herself begging him again to let her go.
Severus took out his wand and pointed it at her. His face was unreadable. He pretended that her pleads were not affecting him and he began to slowly cast on her. "Crucio!" The red spell flew out the tip of his wand and hit the young witch. He watched dispassionately as she collapsed to the floor and began to shriek in pain. She twisted and thrashed on the ground as the spell continued to send pain signals all over her body. He stopped the spell and said, "Are you ready to share what you know?"
Hermione began to cry, and she shook her head no. "I won't betray Harry's trust you evil bastard."
He casted a langlock spell at her. Her tongue was fused to the roof of her mouth, and she was unable to speak or make any noise. "That's better isn't it?" he taunted at her knowing she couldn't respond even if she tried. He casted a stinging hex at her causing a burn to appear on her arm. He tried again to enter her mind but was unsuccessful on finding anything. He left her mind and again he casted another round of crucio. After a minute went by with her thrashing on the floor her head hit the door with a loud crack and she passed out on the floor. He stopped the spell and quickly yelled out, "Hermione!"
