The void began to expand and a small battle field formed in that field two opponents (perciley)
two level 5's would battle so the researchers could gain more information on their powers. These candidates are, Misaki Shoukou the 5th ranked level 5 and Kakine Teitoku.
Before the battle commenced the other level 5's along with Kamijou Touma were discussing the void. Misaka Mikoto dragged Kamijou to the other side of the corner to talk about something.
Kamijou sighed. ''Ow did you have to pull my hair and drag me over here?''
Mikoto rested her legs and also gave a sigh, ''Sorry but we need to find a way out of here I brought you over here to strategize.'' It had almost been a full day in this crazy void
Touma decided to give a serious expression and reply by saying, ''Your right, the problem is my Imagine Breaker isn't working which means one of two things. One the void has a core that these researchers are hiding from me that I need to get to in order to disperse it. Or two the void is made of continuous energy that is faster than my negation speed.''
Misaka put her hands on her lips then looked around the room, ''I'm betting on the former if we have any luck we can find the core and get out of here but we would look suspicious if we try anything right now. I suggest we just keep playing their games for now''
Touma nodded ''I agree Biri-Biri!''
Misaka's expression became more annoyed ''It's Misaka Mikoto for the last time you idiot!''
Meanwhile Accelerator and Mugino were having another conversation.
Mugino was fixing her hair. It was pretty messy due to her just waking up before getting dragged into the void. ''So the last time I saw you we were fighting the number #2 and I heard around the block that your the new chairman in the city surprising to believe you met the chairman and not only that got him to let you take his place''
Accelerator grunted. ''It's too long of a story that I don't feel like explaining but let's just say my life just became more stressful''
Mugino sighed ''So what are you gonna do with the city? How will you benefit society?''
Accelerator raised his hands to the front of his knee's ''I'm going to eliminate the Dark Side of Academy City. I'm going to rebuild it from the ground up if I have to. I don't give a damn what happens to me I'm going to make sure that brat can live in a safe environment''
Mugino gave a non noticeable smile. ''So your determined I see you better not fail number 1''
Hamazura walked over to where Kamijou was and asked. ''Hey did you figure out a way to get out of here yet?''
Touma tilted his head towards Hamazura's face and nodded, ''I think so if we can find the core of this ''void'' I can touch it with my right hand it should break us free'' Touma was determined to make sure his friends could leave but he also knew that the researchers were watching so he had to be secretive about it.
Hamazura also nodded, ''Sounds like a plan oh by the way do you know those two?''
''I met the guy with the blonde hair but I don't remember the blonde haired girl but her sent from earlier smelled familiar…''
Hamazura saw a chestnut haired girl sitting next to him. ''Oh I'm sorry you're the 3rd ranked right? My name is Hamazura.''
Misaka gave a soft smile and waved. ''Nice to meet you! How did you two meet?''
Kamijou and Hamazura gave a nervous glare at each other.
After 10 minutes of explaining the skill out invasion to Misaka she was in utter shock. She could not believe what she had just heard and was very upset at her Mother and Touma for not giving her the warning that they were both doing something this dangerous.
''Mama was doing something this dangerous and I didnt know why didn't she tell me! And you? Why didn't you call me about this I could have helped you!''
Touma nodded and replied with, ''She was the one who told me not to tell you I did want to at first but I wanted to protect you so I decided to keep her secret.''
Misaka sighed she was still a bit upset but she understood the boy's actions. ''Fine then I forgive you''
Touma was relieved, ''Anyways we met up again during WW3 then Birdway saved me and we all talked at my apartment. After that we would meet up a lot and now we get in some stressful situations''
Hamazura nodded as well.
Misaka Mikoto had already known the boy's life was a bit of a handful but it never ceases to surprise her how much he has going on which surprises and worries her at the same time. ''So the usual I see?''
The intercom rang.
Everyone, it is time to begin the first round of our 3rd test! Misaki Shoukuhou Vs Kakine Teitoku!
The stage was finally set and the opponents walked up onto it. Kakine also known as (Beetle 05) analyzed his opponent he had known most of his opponents other than the 7th ranked but he didn't think he would be fighting against the 5th of all people.
''I will try to make this quick for you unlike the original Kakine I don't like hurting people.''
Misaki was shivering on the inside and outside. ''Oh that's so sweet of you!''
3….. 2…. 1… BEGIN!
Immediately Misaki pulled out her remote attempting to use her ability to force Kakine out of the ring. *BEEP*
A deep silence entered the room. Misaki had pressed the button on her remote to take control over Kakine but he did not move, it was just silence. No one was speaking, they were focused on Kakine's actions.
Kakine finally opened his eyes and smiled a bit. ''Ah that's your power, I'm sorry but that won't work on me'' The boy finally spoke.
The entire room gasped in awe except for the white haired devil.
Misaki was in shock. ''No way this can't happen unless… Your not human?''
Kakine shook his head, ''Correct, my body holds endless amounts of dark matter therefore a human brain isn't required thus the fluid that acts as a catalyst for the electricity to flow through that you need to control people doesn't affect me.
Meanwhile in the stands Mugino and Accelerator were very quiet thinking to themselves.
Mugino gave a first thought. So this must be the Kakine that took over the network and became the new one. He doesn't seem as melious as the first basterd.
Accelerator also was in heavy thought. It seem's he has retained his immortality even if he is not the original bitch his dark matter is still inside him.Misaki was not about to give up; she repeatedly spamed her remote over 50 times to try to take control over him. Unfortunately nothing worked
Kakine simply walked forward towards Misaki's direction and muttered one word. ''It's over'' Just then he used the smallest amount of Dark Matter to send a gust of wind on Misaki's chest and it made her fly out of the ring and hit the wall.
''Gah'' Misaki was still conscious but she could feel a slight pain in her chest.
Alright, round one goes to Kakine! Goodjob we have gained much data from this!
The ring was reset and the opponents went back into the room of the void to await the next round.
Round two! Hamazura Saige Vs Mugino Shizuri.
Hamazura was shaking on the inside. He took a glimpse at Mugino and she turned to his direction and gave a more of a disappointed look rather than a disgusted and malicious one. This gave Hamazura a bit of relief since he believes she won't try to kill him this time.
Misaki headed back into the void near Misaka Mikoto. ''Wow you lost from just one attack? Maybe if you stopped skipping gym class this never would have happened.'' Mikoto smirked.
''Oh shut up at least I'm not flatter than a chess board you could never impress Kamijou-san like that'' Misaki also smirked
A jolt of electricity came out of Misaka's bangs ''Oh is that how you wanna play it you fat bitch?'
''Gah I feel like someone is talking about me…'' Kamijou was in the other room currently chatting with Accelerator
Accelerator sighed, ''You really are dense aren't you?''
''Hm? Anyways, did you know about that guy who just fought right now? I only met him once when I was trying to save Frema but he is the only one directly below you right?''
Accelerator gave Touma a more serious look. ''Back when I worked for the darkside of Academy City our organization groups clashed. Originally I thought I killed him but his brain was left in tacked. Later during the Ichihanaran Festival the bastard came back revived looking for some girl named Fräulein''
Touma's eyes widened ''Fräulein like Fräulein Kreutune?''
''Apparently she tried to eat the brats brain. Originally I was trying to get to her as fast as I could but the bastard cornered me before I got there. We fought again but this time I couldn't kill him he was basically immortal with his Dark matter crap.''
Accelerator took a breath ''Apparently the Kakine that you just saw is one that was originally made from the original Kakine in a network you can compare it to the Misaka network. The only difference is it was based completely on his dark Matter. Somehow the Beetle broke from the network and became the prime Kakine that you met during the Halation invasion. To dumb it down for you this is the ''good'' version of Kakine''
Touma's brain almost malfunctioned from the amount of information he had just heard but he could at least get the jist of it. ''So he is good now, that's all I needed to know.'' Touma gave a slight smile.
Accelerator looked at him with an annoyed but respectful face. ''You never change do you.''
Touma was heading to the door and turned his head around in Accelerator's direction, ''Because that's not Kamijou Touma'' and he closed the door. And Accelerator clicked his tongue
Touma walked over to where Misaka was and his eyes widened ''AGH Misaka what are you doing to that girl?''
Misaka had tied Shokuhou from the chest up and she also put tape in her mouth. ''Oh trust me I have done worse than this before''
''Mnjskndjskjdajkdas!'' Misaki was screaming at Mikoto.
Misaka grinned. ''What's that I can't understand you?''
Misaki screamed even louder. ''MASUBDJSABFJFBDGDS!''
Misaka got a bit annoyed. ''Okay fine I will take the tape off your mouth just shut up for one minute.'' Misaka ripped the tape off Misaki's face very fast causing her to feel a pain on the outside of her mouth.
Misaki gave Misaka an angry look.''I swear I will get you back for this!'
Misaka giggled a bit. ''Yeah sure you will.''
Misaki then gave her attention to Kamijou standing right in front of them. ''Oh hi Kamijou-san! I wish you luck on your match!''
Touma was a bit confused but grateful to the girl. ''Um thank's have we met before? You don't look familiar?''
Misaka was confused. ''What do you mean you met her plenty of ti-''
Misaki covered Misaka's mouth immediately. ''Oh um don't worry my ability allows me to gain information on people and your name is in the academy city databank that's all!''
Touma was still confused but a bit relieved. ''Oh I guess that explains it. Well nice to meet you then!'' Touma raised his hand towards Misaki intending for a handshake.
Misaki reached out and shaked it repeatedly for like 6 or 7 times. ''Yes it is a pleasure!''
''Alright I'm going to support Hamazura I will see you guys later!'' Kamijou gave a wave back to the two girls and then left the room once again.
Misaki sighed and removed her hand from Misaka's mouth. ''Why you!''
Misaki gave Mikoto an annoyed look. ''Oh calm down Misaka, it's not like I'm trying to control you or anything. Putting that aside, Misaka went back to her original question. ''Hey, why did that idiot not recognize you? I know he is dumb but he never usually forgets people he meets especially after the amount of times he has seen you?''
Misaki's eyes turned blank and depressed. ''I will… I will tell you about it later.''
Misaka glanced at Misaki's expression and could tell that she had been through some type of trauma. She looked extremely depressed so she decided to respect her wishes and give some space.
Alright everyone it is time to begin round 2! Everyone please take your positions.
Hamazura walked up slowly to the field created by the researchers and gave another glance at Mugino. She didn't seem happy but she also didn't seem like she wanted to kill him either which gave him a peace of mind.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnd begin!
Mugino started off by creating 3 beams and sending them in Hamazura's direction.
Hamazura screamed. ''Yeeek!'' He immediately ducked down and rolled over in a tight formation to dodge her beams.
Mugino was in complete silence; she wasn't as malicious as she was before. She wasn't directly trying to hurt Hamazura but she was also testing his will power to see if he could pull through like he has the other 3 times. ''Tch'' Mugino created two beams this time and bent her knees and jumped. In mid air she kicked one of the balls to create one beam trying to send Hamazura off his balance. With the other she punched it directly at him to push him out.
Hamazura immediately twisted his body in the opposite direction of the beam. He ran while ducking his head to get farther away from the other beam but the explosion caught his back and he was sent flying. ''Argh no can't lose yet!'' Hamazura forced his shoe onto the ground to regain his balance as he was sliding across the room. He finally came to a stop at the edge of the stage. As soon as he turned around he could see Mugino was standing back on the ring.
She gave a grin. ''You can't keep playing these games forever it's time to get out of the ring Hamazura.'' This time she created 4 beams and pointed them directly at the edge of the stage to push Hamazura out. Hamazura tried to block but the beams were faster and it caused a small explosion.
Silence entered the void. Mugino was looking for Hamazura but when the smoke cleared he was gone.
''Over here'' Mugino gasped. Hamazura came up from behind Mugino and twisted his body to throw her out the ring. ''It's over Muginoooo!'' Hamazura threw her out the ring.
Mugino was in shock. ''HOW?''
Hamazura snorted a bit. ''I used your beams as a distraction you made the perfect smoke screen for me to gain up behind you.''
Mugino was impressed for a second but then it turned into anger. ''Hamazuraaaaa!'' She started making more beams.
''Oh Shit!'' Hamazura ran away.
And with that conclusion we have finished the first two rounds! Round 2 goes to Hamazura! Take a 5 minute break and we are beginning the 3rd round as soon as possible!
Touma clapped his hands. ''Good Job Hamazura!''
''That lady looks very angry though.. ''
Misaka stood up and looked at Touma. She gave a smile then said ''It's my turn next.''
Touma turned around. ''You got this Biri-Biri!'' He gave encouraging words.
Misaka instead of shocking the boy she used his words as encouragement and she gained more confidence and walked to the stage.
On the other side of the room another certain spiky haired boy stood up. ''Man I have seen a lot of guts today to think these guys are this strong I'm getting excited!''
5 minutes later.
Alright everyone it is time to begin round 3! Sogita Gunha Vs Misaka Mikoto everyone please take your places!
Both opponents stood up in the ring. Before the fight began Misaka took a moment to analyze her opponent. ''Back when I was controlled during the level 6 experiment I fought this guy and he was even able to hold me back when I was almost at max level 6. He's not going to be an easy opponent, that's for sure I can't even tell what his powers are. I will just have to do my best to try to knock him out''
Sogita knocked his first together. ''Since this is a fight I will be taking it seriously I won't hold back even against you this isn't like last time so show me your maximum Guts!''
Misaka heard the boy's words and gave a bit of a smile. ''Alright!''
Ready….. BEGIN!
Misaka started off by using her magnetism to send 3 electric shocks to Gunha's direction. Gunha did not move, he simply stood there. The beams were closer and closer to knocking him out until-
''Let's do this!'' Gunha un folded his arm and punched the lighting with his bare fist reflecting it in the opposite direction.
Misaka was in shock. ''No way.'' She immediately dispersed the lighting before it could hit her.
She couldn't believe the boy could just shrug off her attacks like that. It wasn't like fighting Touma where he would just negate the attacks he literally punched the lighting away. ''If that didn't work I'm gonna have to hit him with something even more powerful!''
Meanwhile Touma and the others were watching the fight on the big screen.
''Wow Sogita-san is as strong as ever he just punched the lighting just like he did the first time we met''
Hamazura was confused. ''So is he just physically super strong like some shounen manga character?''
Misaki was in deep thought. ''Now that I think about it he was able to break out of my mental control when I arrived on that building to save Junko-san…''
Back to the fight.
Misaka created Iron sand and she used that sand to create a sort of Electric Cage. To do this she creates several hundred iron sand balls around her, which spread around the area before dividing into smaller spinning balls. The balls then start emitting bluish sparks as Mikoto uses them to conduct electricity to cover the gaps between the iron sand balls, forming the cage. ''Take this!'' She forms the cage around Gunha.
He was completely trapped. Misaka was keeping him contained for the moment but then something happened. A loud shout could be heard from inside the cage.
''HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!''
The entire void shoke for a moment. Everyone could feel the vibrations around the room. Even Accelerator was in shock for that moment.
The cage had shattered completely and Gunha was unharmed. ''That was a nice move, your ability seems really adaptable but my Guts are the reason why I was able to surpass it!'
Misaka was thinking so many things at once. ''Just from shouting the cage broke? Who is this guy?''
Gunha whipped his nose. ''I think I fought a girl that used similar electricity to yours she also went to that high class school or whatever she had long purple hair and she was really strong!''
Misaka was in silence. Purple hair and electricity? Is he talking about Junko-san?
Misaka could not believe the boy had met another one of her classmates before and they had fought no less but now was not the time to think about that she had to win her round no matter the cost.
''I need to catch him off guard again and hit him with a full power attack.'' She thought to herself.
Misaka decided to stretch her legs and her body muscles. She was using a technique called Rampage Dress which allowed her to manipulate the electrical signals in her cells to draw out further strength. She raised her body muscles even higher, ''Try to keep up with this!''
Misaka increased her speeds to high levels using rampage dress to confuse Gunha so she could find an opening.
Sogita was slightly impressed. ''Oh now I see you're using even more Guts! Let's see how far this will take you against me!''
Misaka started swerving in different directions. If she messed up one movement it would all be over. Finally she created a diversion ''Now!'' she shot one bolt of electricity at Gunha to derange his attention.
''Hmph'' Gunha smacked the electricity away once again. But this time Mikoto came up directly in front of him. She maxed out her electricity to the fullest with both her hands and folded them together. ''Take this!''
Gunha was in a bit of a shock. ''What the?''
Mikoto sent a full powered electric blast at point blank range directly at Gunha. It created an explosion that created a smoke around the room of the void.
Back in the other room.
Hamazura was in utter shock. ''Holy shit she made a gigantic blast!''
Touma was impressed. ''Wow Misaka-san is really strong.''
Misaki gave a glare at the screen. ''I wonder if she knows what she is doing.''
Mugino was more intrigued about the 7th ranked then the 3rd. ''What the hell is his power it's so unpredictable and it's pissing me off.''
Accelerator was looking at the fight closely, surprisingly. He didn't comment he simply clicked his tongue ''Tch''
Kakine was also observing the fight. ''It's quite astonishing to see this many powers clash in just one day I wonder who will be the victor of this battle''
Back to the fight.
As the smoke cleared up Misaka was glaring through it trying to see where Gunha was. As soon as it cleared up her heart almost stopped. Gunha was standing with his hands up in a defensive position and with not a single scratch on his body.
The room became silent. ''There's no way how could you come out of that attack unscathed?''
Sogita chuckled. That was my Aurora Guard! I gather the Earth's magnetic field into his hand through telekinesis, and use that electromagnetic field to divert the electric flow!''
Misaka was dumbfounded. ''Is that even possible?''
Mugino shouted from the other room. ''According to physics that's not possible your just a dumbass that can't even understand his own abilities.''
Little bit of trivia for everyone in the room. Sogita-san is a Gemstone so he is a natural born esper not only that he is the strongest of all 50 gemstones.
Touma was confused. ''So he had his abilities when he was born?''
Correct!
Accelerator gave a grin. ''So that's why he's ranked at the bottom no one knew how the hell his abilities even worked in the first place.''
Back to the fight.
Misaka was in deep thought once again. If he has had these powers since birth then how can he not understand it? Is he really this dumb?There was no time to think about it any longer so Misaka just grabbed a coin from her pocket. ''Alright let's try this!'' she flicked the coin from her thumb and it created an larenz force that created a Railgun!
''Grah'' Sogita caught the coin with his bare teeth.
''Wah-''
''Excuse me miss but you really should give these coins back to the arcade once you go back'' Sogita exclaimed.
''Those aren't arcade coins we use those as currency!'' Misaka shouted
Sogita grinned. ''If you say so… Anyways It's about time I use an attack now!''
Misaka put her guard up immediately as soon as he said that.
Sogita got into position, ''Super Amazing-...'' Sogita stretched his arms back farther and implanted his feet into the ground. Then he thrusted forward ''PUNCH!'' A beam of yellow light came headed in Misaka's direction.
''Crap-'' Misaka grabbed another coin from her pocket. She shot another Railgun in the direction of the beam.
The two beams of energy clashed. The whole room was shaking from the impact. The wind was blowing faster and faster inside the void.
''Gaaaaah'' Misaka shouted.
Sogita was getting more and more excited. ''Your really strong but I'm not about to lose a contest of guts!'' Sogita implanted his feet deeper into the ground and screamed. ''GRAAAAAAAAAH!''
The yellow beam became bigger and bigger and it eventually overpowered the Railgun and Misaka got caught in the crossfire. An explosion rang out.
Once it cleared Misaka could be seen on the ground still conscious but unable to move.
In the other room.
Touma screamed. ''Misaka!'' and he ran out of the room to aid her as quickly as possible.
Hamazura still couldn't believe what he had just seen. ''So this is the 7th ranked level 5's power holy crap he is crazy.''
Accelerator and Mugino along with Kakine were impressed by the 7th. They didn't think he was all that much due to him being ranked at the bottom but this has exceeded their expectations.
Meanwhile Kamijou finally got to Misaka and he tried to help her up by holding her in his arms. ''Are you okay?''
Misaka coughed. ''Yeah I'm fine he was really tough.''
Touma was glad she was okay. ''You did great I'm proud of you.''
Misaka blushed a bit. ''It-It was n-nothing!''
Sogita walked over to his fallen opponent. ''You were definitely one of more strong opponents I have fought your guts were on fire keep training them and you will get even stronger!''
Misaka smiled ''Thanks!''
Misaki walked over as well. ''Yeah Misaka-san you did great for a flat chested amazon''
Misaka's eyes turned blank. ''I will kill you.''
Misaki got a bit frightened by that statement.
Alright everyone it is time for the fourth and final round of the day! Kamijou Touma Vs Accelerator!
Touma and Accelerator gave a glance at each other and smirked. They weren't exactly happy being used as ginny pigs but they also wanted to see how much they have grown since the last time they have fought.
Misaki shouted out. ''Good luck Kamijou san!''
Mikoto also shouted out ''You better win you idiot!''
Hamazura also gave some encouraging words. ''You got this Boss hit him with everything!''
Gunha crossed his fingers. ''Show me your new Guts Kamijou!''
Touma was glad his friends were encouraging him, he would need it in this battle. He and Accelerator finally stood in the ring facing each other side to side.
Only one victor will remain who will win the fight. The weakest? Or the strongest?
