Hello everyone! This is a little side story in the outside world involving some of the characters. Now that the main cast is gone I wonder what they will do? You will get these side story chapters once every 2 or 3 chapters from the stories in the void.

Back in Academy City in a certain spikey haired boys dormitory a hungry yet surprisingly cute blue nun was sleeping on a bed. She and a tiny Magic God were both living in Touma's dorm.
''Mmmmm food…''
A loud stomach growl could be heard from the nun's stomach. She was surprisingly hungry just from waking up. She whipped her eyelids so she could see better and she glared around the room looking for a certain spiky haired boy. ''Hmmm.. Touma?''
She just had a realization Touma was not here but where could he have gone? Index searched the bathroom, the balcony and under the shoe closet but no luck her only source of getting food was gone. ''Touma! Touma! Where are you, are you hiding from me come on I'm really hungry!''
Index's shouting woke up the tiny magic god sitting on top of a lamp. ''Quiet down how is a god supposed to sleep with all this noise!''
Index turned around to her with a worried look on her face. ''Touma is gone!'' She had searched everywhere but no sight of Kamijou could be found at all.
Othinus' expression went from annoyed to serious; she knew how bad of a situation this was. ''We need to find him right now!'' She was missing her understander and not only that but without Kamijou danger will follow.
Index kept searching through the entire dorm but after a while she just gave up. There was no luck Kamijou was nowhere in sight.
Othinus had an idea. ''Hungry nun we will have to search the city.''
Meanwhile.
''Mmmmmmmmmm Uiharuuuuu!''
''GAH!''
Two black haired girls who attended Sakugawa middle school were standing in front of Jugement 177 Branch Office. One was Saten Ruiko, the best friend of the other girl named Uiharu Kazari.
Uiharu was very sleep deprived. '''Saten-san it's 11 AM in the morning why do you have to do that out in the open!''
Saten started to laugh. ''Don't worry this is to help you keep awake I have seen that you have been really tired recently.''
Uiharu nodded. ''That is true…''
Saten and Uiharu both went inside the office to find a pig tailed girl working at a desk and she seemed very anxious.
''Oi Shirai-san what are you working on this time?''
Kuroko turned around and she seemed very worried. ''Have either of you seen Onee-Sama?''
Saten turned to Uiharu; they both gave a glance at each other but could tell neither had seen her.
Uiharu finally spoke up. ''No we thought she was with you?''
Kuroko felt like panicking but as a jugement officer she had to keep a cool head. ''When I woke up she wasn't in her bed but when I checked her bed I found her phone and she got a call from an unknown number''
Saten was starting to get a bit worried. ''Unknown number? You don't think she went to go meet this stranger did you?
''Onee-Sama wouldn't just go see a random stranger she is smarter than that!'' Kuroko protested.
Uiharu was worried as well. ''Hopefully your right but we should still try to find her as fast as possible!''
Uiharu immediately grabbed a chair and went to her desk to search for her missing friend. She quickly traced the number of the unknown caller that contacted Misaka. She checked every street and every building. After 5 minutes of searching she came in contact with a building called code name vacuous.
Uiharu was confused. ''I traced the building its called vacuous but according to the official website its been closed down for 3 years.''
Kuroko stood up. ''Closed down? That would make a perfect spot to do something illegal.'' She grabbed her jugement ban and ran out the door. ''Uiharu I will be on coms''
Uiharu shouted ''Be careful!''
Saten hoped she would find her friend. ''I hope she will be okay…''
Meanwhile at the facility.
Kuroko had finally arrived at V.A.C.U.O.U.S and Uiharu was right; it had been closed down for quite some time. Tape was surrounding the area but that didn't stop Kuroko from investigating. She had clearance from Anti-skill beforehand so she was okay to step in. She checked room after room and to no avail she found nothing.
After a while she called Uiharu once again. ''I still can't find anything on my end did you search for something else?''
''No, I'm sorry but I'm afraid nothing is coming up. All the researchers have completely abandoned the building. Also their ID's were scrapped as soon as the building was abandond so I can't trace their names in the databank. Although I do know one thing.''
Kuroko's interest peaked. ''Which is?''
The flower haired girl explained. ''Vacuous could be another term for void.''
Kuroko's eyes widened. ''Void? You mean like an empty space?''
''Correct'' Uiharu responded.
Kuroko took a moment to think. The building was abandoned for 3 years; none of the researchers' locations have been found and nothing was inside the rooms of the building; this led her to one conclusion. ''Uiharu I think the researchers along with this unknown person could be in a void''
''Do you think while they were researching they stumbled upon being able to access a void?''
''Rather I think they created their own and however they did it they dragged Onee-Sama too'' Kuroko replied.
Uiharu was at a loss for words. ''Oh no this is the worst case scenario. But how could they have the technology to do this? Even if Academy City is 30 years ahead in technology it shouldn't be possible. Shirai-san I'm coming down there to help!''
''No Uiharu do you really want to put yourself in danger?''
Uiharu protested. ''Misaka-san is my friend too and I want to help her no matter what don't forget I'm judgement too!''
Kuroko had a sweat fall down her cheeks. ''Fine''
Later on Uiharu and Saten joined Kuroko in search for Misaka Mikoto and wherever the researchers had been transported to.
Hours and hours passed they had searched the building from top to bottom but no luck they could not find any resources left they had truly been transported to somewhere else entirely.
Saten was getting tired. ''We have been searching all day and still no luck!''
Uiharu was also pretty dehydrated. ''Mi-Misaka-san… we have to find her.''
Kuroko was deep in thought. ''Onee-Sama, why didn't you tell me about this? Why did you have to keep this from me? I could have helped you so why!'' The teleporter simply could not believe her roommate and her best friend would leave her like this without telling her.
A loud noise could be heard coming up behind them. Someone was throwing objects around town randomly.
Saten turned around first. ''Hm?''
The person had a white nun habit and she looked to have green eyes. She was digging in a trash can, Saten walked up to her and asked ''Um excuse me do you need some help?''
Index looked up to see the long black haired girl and quickly asked. ''Have you seen Touma!?'' She started to shake saten's arms.
''Wagh-Touma? You mean Kamijou-san? No I haven't seen him and could you please let my arms go!''
Kuroko and Uiharu could hear Saten's struggles so they ran over to her. ''What's going on?'' they both said in unison.
Saten turned around. ''I found this nun she seems to be looking for Kamijou-san''
Uiharu was confused. ''A nun?''
Index turned to look at them she didn't recognize either but she did recognize Kuroko. ''Hey your the pink haired girl that was with short hair that one time!''
Kuroko was confused. ''I'm sorry have we met before?''
''We met in the underground mall a couple months ago in School District 7!'' Index shouted.
Kuroko finally realized. ''Oh right you were with that ape weren't you!''
Uiharu was confused but replied with. ''So you can't find Kamijou-san?''
Index nodded. ''When I woke up he was gone I thought he would be somewhere in the city but I couldn't find him''
Saten thought. ''But you looked in a trash can…''
''We can't find Misaka-san either it seems they are both missing.'' Uiharu replied.
Index pulled out something from her pocket. ''I found Touma's phone it says he got a call from an unknown caller!''
All three girls gasped at the same time. ''No way!'' they said in unison.
Index was confused. ''Huh?''
They all turned around at the nun and Uiharu stated. ''Misaka-san also has a call from an unknown person and we tracked it to this building.''
Index looked above them. ''V.A.C.U.O.U.S?''
''It is another term for void. We believe the researchers that worked here created a void that teleported everything they had. It seems like they have also abducted Kamijou-san and Misaka-san for some reason.'' Uiharu replied.
Saten asked the nun. ''Why were you searching in the trash can for Kamijou?''
''Because they have leftover food!'' Index replied.
Saten's face turned blank. ''Is she this poor?''
''Never mind all of this we need to find them before the worst happens!'' someone shouted from inside Index's nun habit.
Saten looked around. ''Wait who said that.''
''FOOLISH HUMAN THAT'S NOT HOW YOU TALK TO A GOD!'' Othinus popped from outside Index's nun habit.
All three of them screamed. ''Is that a doll talking!?''
A stomach growl could be heard coming from the nun. ''Agh... I didint get to eat breakfast this morning.''
Kuroko sighed. ''ugh we really dont have time for this but follow us to a resturant''
Index's face turned into bright smile ''Yay food!''
At Joseph's
''Oh my…''
''I think I'm going to the restroom Saten-san.''
''Is it possible to eat that much?!''
All three of the girls were in shock. Index was munching down 20 plates worth of food in the matter of only half an hour. She kept eating and eating and she didn't look like she was full at all until she finally reached her 50th plate.
Index smiled. ''Yay that was good!''
Kuroko could not believe a person could have an endless aptitude but there she was sitting in front of her. ''Do churches not feed nun's or something how are you so hungry?''
Index shakes her head. ''No we get food but Academy City's food is amazing!''
Saten turned her attention to the Magic god shaped doll that was on Index's shoulder. ''So what are you and how can you talk?''
Othinus was confronted with middle school girls so she did not know how to respond at first glance and she didn't know if she wanted to keep her secret or if she wanted to be honest. But they seemed to know Kamijou Touma and the 3rd ranked level 5 so she decided that she could trust them for the time being.
Othinus sighed. ''Alright I will make amends with you but only if your willing to explore a new world in order to save your friend.''
Kuroko was confused. ''A new world?''
''I have a theory that whatever this void you said could not have been created by science even if Academy City is 30 years advanced in technology, correct? That means only one thing: the humans that created this void used Magic.'' Othinus replied.
Saten jumped. ''Magic like in fairy tales!?''
Kuroko stepped in. ''So your telling me that Magic actually exists and it is not some made up story like in those fantasy books?''
''Sure you can think of it like that. Magic is a complex system of arts, disciplines, and traditions that are firmly grounded in laws and knowledge that are wholly unknown and beyond the grasp of human sciences, which sought to manipulate and distort certain aspects of reality.'' Othinus replied.
''Additionally this is not my true form. I was actually at a normal human height before and I was a Magic God.''
Uiharu was confused. ''A-a Magic God?''
Saten was fearful ''Sounds scary...''
''Yes, a Magic god think of it as a God of Magic. Being a Magic God is akin to being the purest, most perfect existence that encompasses every possibility.'' Othinus replied.
All three of the girls could not believe nor understand they simply could not believe such a being could exist in the world.
Othinus could tell the three girls could not get it so she had to convert her response to a more down to earth kind of explanation.
''Of course its too hard for you humans to understand so I will try a different approach. In the state of a Magic God it is similar to stepping into the realm of an actual deity. Kamijou Touma compared it to what you humans call ''Level 6'' a comparison that is not wholly far fetched as Level 6 requires a person to attain a body that can allow the person to understand the will of the heavens.'' Othinus stated.
Saten jumped once again with her arms held high. ''A level 6!? So your saying a person who archives Level 6 can achieve power like a God?''
Othinus nodded.
Uiharu and Kuroko were silent. It was hard to believe a whole new set of laws existed in the world. Not only that but it is possible to achieve a level that rivals the power of a god was just astonishing.
Kuroko was deep in thought. ''There is no way this can exist Magic can't exist. It's just not possible but then again no science technology could create a void. But if Magic does exist how come it hasn't come up until now? It doesn't make sense. But then again I'm talking to a so called ''Magic God'' along with a nun.''
''But'' cut in a certain nun after eating an entire triple meat burger.
''Espers can not use magic.''
Saten was confused ''Why not?''
Index stated. ''It is too dangerous for you to handle''
Uiharu cut in. ''Why is it too dangerous?''
Othinus cut in once again. ''Magic is a technique created to allow those without talent to catch up to those with talent. It's an issue of the format. It was not created for people who have talent in the first place. If you force yourself to use it, it would put a massive burden on your blood vessels and nerves."
''So because we are espers…''
''Wait but I'm a level 0 so does it affect me?''
Othinus gave a stern facial expression. ''Unfortunately it does. You still had the inside of your head messed with by Academy City's tech. Because of that not even level 0's can use Magic without suffering the consequences''
She broke the silence. ''Prove it''
Othinus's eyes widened. ''Oh? Prove what exactly?''
Kuroko responded. ''Prove magic does exist I don't believe such a concept could exist in the world but if you can prove it to me then I will help you.'' Kuroko was determined to find her roomate no matter the cost but she also didint believe in fantasy's so she had to know if it was truly real.
Othinus was intrigued by this girl's intuition. ''You humans are interesting. Fine then I accept your request.''
30 minutes later at an abandoned building -
Footsteps could be heard behind it ''Agh.. We have been walking for hours. Where are we even going?'' Saten was very tired; her legs felt like they were about to fall off.
Othinus turned around while sitting on the nun's shoulder. ''Well if you want to see Magic up close you have to find a magician first obviously. The nun here had her mana cut off from the church due to believing she would rebel if she became a Magic God. Meanwhile I lost my powers as a god a while ago.''
Uiharu stepped in. ''Aside from all the talk about magic how did you to enter the city you both have clothing that looks like it was made in the ancient times?''
Index was the first to speak up. ''I was running from the church until I fell on Touma's balcony and he gave me food and he also saved me from them. Now I live at his dorm.''
Othinus followed up. ''I was a former terrorist and I attacked Denmark later along the lines when I lost my powers. The president demanded my punishment to live with Kamijou Touma since I can't really die. I'm not a resident so you won't find me on academy city's database.''
''So you both live with him?'' Saten replied.
Index and Othinus nodded.
''Poor Misaka-san I wonder if she knows Kamijou-san lives with two girls but they don't seem to be dating him'' Saten thought to herself.
Kuroko stepped in and she could not believe what she was just hearing. ''So you're telling me somehow Academy City simply didn't take note of two people from outside the city to just wander around? And not to mention didn't you just say you were a terrorist? I should be taking you in and allowing Anti-Skill to arrest you!''
Othinus sighed. ''You can try but I have already accepted my fate, like I said me being this size is my punishment.''
Kuroko grunted.
Othinus did as well
Uiharu and Saten could feel the tension between those two.
Othinus turned back around. ''If we want to get into this void we need to find a magician who can replicate the spell.'' She knew that in order to save Kamijou she would need to get access to this void but in order to do this she needs to find a magician that can repeat the same spell that the researchers used to create it.
''So where do we find magicians?'' Uiharu replied.
Index spoke up once again. ''They lurk in the shadows unless they have to do business. They keep away from the light of Academy City. Finding one will be the hard part''
Othinus asked again. ''Are you sure you want to do this? You will be heading into dark territory there is no going back after this.''
All three girls knew what they were getting into but they wanted to save their friend.
Kuroko spoke up. ''I am jugement and I will help everyone in danger and I won't let Onee-Sama be taken away from me I will save her no matter what.''
Uiharu spoke. ''I am also jugement I can't stand by and let these people get what they want without paying for their actions Misaka-san is my friend too and I won't let her down she helped me when I needed help the most!''
Saten spoke. ''I may be a level 0 but I want to help Misaka she is important to me and she saved my life I want to return the favor.''
The three girls have put their lives on the line for Misaka before they would do it again, that's how much she meant to them. Othinus was surprised and admired the fact that humans could care so much about thier freind and she respected that.
''Alright show me your worth humans.''
The Three girls and the nun along with the former Magic God adventure off to save their friends. They would encounter great danger along the way but they were prepared for that. They will have to work together in order to overcome their weaknesses. Will they be able to save KAmijou Touma and Misaka Mikoto?

I love doing interactions with the main cast and the side cast of the Index series so I hope you all also enjoy it.
