Back in the white and mysterious void now known to be created by researchers that created it using magic. Code name V.A.C.U.O.U.S, inside the researchers decided to use this void to create a testing site to get a proper analysis on the level 5's power but not only that two level 0's as well.
The final round for test number #3 was about to begin. Kamijou Touma Vs The Number #1 in Academy City Accelerator. Both had fought each other three times before hand but each time miraculously Kamijou Touma had ended up on top.
The remaining level 5's along with Hamazura were intrigued in this battle to see who would win between the weakest and the strongest. Mugino in particular wanted to see how yet another Level 0 could beat a level 5 so she decided to keep a close eye on Kamijou's movements.
*the intercom rang*
Alright if everyone is ready let us begin!
Touma Kamijou propped his back up and got into a fighting stance.
Accelerator raised his left hand to his choker getting ready to switch it on.
3….. 2….. 1….. FIGHT!
The room started to shake and the tensions were high. It all depended on this battle who would be victorious? The final battle begins now.
Accelerator immediately switched on his choker allowing him to use the Misaka network for 30 minutes guidance to allow him to assist with his calculations.
Touma Kamijou took a deep breath and ran. He took off at full speed heading directly in Accelerator's direction while screaming, ''Hraaaaaaaaaaah!''
Accelerator crashed his feet on the ground causing a quake. He was trying to throw off Kamijou's balance.
Kamijou jumped. He took a leap closing the distance between him and Accelerator he folded his fist back in midair and it collided with Accelerator's face pushing him back a bit.
Kamijou landed back on the ground of the void but noticed something different.
Accelerator was pushed back a little bit but he only had a slight bruise this time. The first time they fought Accelerator could barely stand on his feet after getting punched just the first time. He even bled.
Kamijou had a flashback to their third fight when he was trying to save Othinus. He could tell Accelerator had gotten stronger and he could now take a punch. Not only that he had also gotten even stronger while fighting the great demon ''Coronzon''. This battle would not be an easy one for Kamijou; he knew he would have to put in a lot more effort.
Accelerator knew how his right hand functioned, he knew what it could do, he knew how the boy would use it. The last time they fought he purposely let him win so the other level 5's would back down. He wanted to end it fast so he decided to knock him out of the ring.
Once again he crushed his foot into the ground except this time he dashed forward to Kamijou's direction at supersonic speeds he raised his left hand a bit to forcefully push Kamijou out of the ring.
(But…)
Kamijou slapped his left hand away. He saw through Accelerator's attacks without even thinking about it. Kamijou folded his right arm again and his fist collided with Accelerator's face once again pushing him back but still only a short distance.
Accelerator didn't have any objects to manipulate in the void so he decided to improvise. ''I'd duck if I were you.''
Kamijou was confused for that moment.
Accelerator placed his left hand onto the walls of the void and minupated its vector control and the walls folded into big squares and it shot out of the walls headed straight for Kamijou's direction.
''Shit.'' Kamijou ducked his head evading the squares.
Kamijou backed up for a moment to recover his thoughts. ''What can I do? He can manipulate walls and even if I can hit him he can take a punch better than before. It would take like 100 of them before I could bring him down.''
Kamijou used a rock to immediately knock out Accelerator in their previous fight but he had no objects here he could only use the power he was born with no tricks no resources just a head on battle.
Outside in the audience section -
''Come on Boss you can do this!'' Hamazura shouted
Mugino was paying close attention to the fight. ''It seems like that boy can pass through Accelerator's reflection barrier but it seems like his punches have no effect how does he plan to win this?''
Sogita Gunha was getting tense just watching Kamijou. ''That's it that's it show me your Guts Kamijou this isn't all you have is it keep going until you break your limits!''
Misaka Mikoto and Shoukuhou Misaki were both hoping Kamijou would be okay after this but they also wanted the boy to fight his hardest.
Misaka Mikoto thought to herself. ''Please come back safe you beat him once you can do it again I know you can you idiot!''
Misaki Shoukhou thought to herself. ''My prince. Please come back safe that's all I ask please you can do this!''Kakine Teitoku also known as Beetle 05. Did not give a specific reaction he was currently just wondering how the battle would conclude and who would be victorious.
Back to the arena.
''Grh'' Kamijou could see his friends and the worried look on their faces he didn't want to let them down but this was the number #1 he was fighting the number one in all of academy city. He was the strongest esper to ever be created not only that he defeated a weakened magic god something even Kamijou Touma has yet to accomplish aside from High Priest.
The boy knew he could not let the others down. It didn't matter how strong the opponent was he would never give up he had to keep going no matter what. ''To hell with this I'm going to do things my way!'' The boy screamed.
Accelerator responded with. ''Persistent as always I see, then have some more!'' the boy placed his hand right back on the wall to control its vectors but this time.
''Hraaaaagh!'' Kamijou slammed his right fist on the wall at the exact moment Accelerator's hand touched the wall.
Accelerator was shocked. ''What?''
Kamijou ran across the room with his arm sliding on the wall so Accelerator couldn't manipulate the walls. He finally closed the distance between them he shouted. ''Haaaaaaaargh!'' Kamijou's right fist collided with Accelerator's face again pushing him back once again he almost lost his balance.
Kamijou could tell that was a good punch as it pushed him back farther this time.
Accelerator could actually start to feel the bruises starting to hurt his body. ''Tch'' he clicked his tongue. He decided to use his real power now, white wings sprouted from behind Accelerator's back; he looked like an Angel from the heavens.
Back in the audience section -
''Are those wings?!'' Hamazura shouted out.
Mugino was in shock as well. ''How the hell did he grow wings that's not apart of his ability.''
Misaka Mikoto and Misaki Shoukhou were shocked as well. ''White wings?'' they both said in unison.
Kakine was the only one unfazed as he had seen Accelerator in this state before. ''So this is your true hidden card Accelerator I wonder what path you will be taking now.''
Sogita Gunha jumped out of his seat. ''Woah that white haired guy just grew wings now that's some powerful Guts I definitely wanna fight him!''
Back to the arena-
Kamijou gave a smile. ''Ah those wings again if that's how you wanna play it hit me with your best shot!''
Accelerator one again gave a smirk. ''Remember what I said to you before I can't go down the path your on but I'm not going to feel inferior to you either.'' Accelerator knew he wasn't a hero; he knew Kamijou was the one who could only walk down that road. But he also didn't want to be followed in the shadows of the boy.
Accelerator made the pure white wings stretch dozens of meters and they swung down on Kamijou like blades. Just like what happened in their last fight
The wings almost struck Kamijou but... it.. missed? Accelerator sent the rest down but the boy was able to evade each one. Even for the ones he wasn't able to evade he was able to touch the side and redirect them with his right hand.
Kamijou's body had adapted to the pattern of the wings of course he did this unconsciously by using precognition.
Accelerator was the first one to deduce the theory of precognition. He knew the boy had fought countless enemies and was able to anticipate the attacks coming his way. So he tried a different approach.
Accelerator threw down yet another wing stretched 100 meters.
Kamijou intercepted it with his right hand this time he redirected it back at the wall since Accelerator only threw down one wing.
But.
Accelerator immediately crashed to the ground once again causing a quake to emerge. This time Kamijou was caught off balance. ''Wah!'' Kamijou tripped.
Accelerator took a glare and sent two pure wings extended right into the stomach area of Kamijou Touma. The force of the wings pushed him back and he crashed down on the floor.
''Cargh'' Kamijou was struggling to spit out blood.
But he was not about to lose, he forced himself to cough. ''CRAGH!'' Kamijou spit out some blood. But surprisingly it was not that much blood. It seems Kamijou's body was much more durable compared to the last time they fought. Of course it wouldn't save him from fighting the strongest esper and he knew that.
Accelerator was not surprised he admired the boy's strength. ''Come on Hero, we're not done yet! Show me that determination you used to save countless lives!''
Kamijou whipped the blood off his face and regained his balance. He took his fighting stance but this time he was much more serious and determined.
Accelerator gave a slight smile. ''That's more like it''
The boy then called out the name. ''Qliphah Puzzle 545!''
Kamijou gasped a bit. ''Who?''
A small but surprisingly demonic looking pink colored being formed from the side of Accelerator. It looked like a, barefooted girl with thin wings, a tentacle-like tail, pointy ears and a hole in her forehead.
The demon spoke. ''Yes Master?''
Kamijou took a glance at the demon. ''Wait a minute isn't that the demon I saw at the castle?''
The demon turned around. ''Oh right Kamijou Touma the one who assaulted my breasts.''
''I was just using them as an example don't make it weird!'' Kamijou shouted.
Accelerator gave a disgusted look at the both of them but decided it wasn't worth it.
''Now I just need one more thing''
Accelerator closed his eyes.
''Hey I know your there I need your assistance again.''
''Oh? Is there something you need /escape? Misaka is a very busy woman /return. '' The Will of the Misaka Network has arrived.
''Lend me your power again'' Accelerator stated.
''Misaka does not think that is such a good idea. /return I do not like the thought of you going all out on Kamijou-chan /return.''
''You can calm down I won't kill him this is only for this one match I don't think I ''can'' kill him either at this point''
''Hmmm Misaka should get confirmation first /return.''
''Fine, then you can ask him,'' Accelerator replied.
Kamijou had been staring at Accelerator from the distance he could see his eyes closed. ''I wonder what he is doing?''
''Hello Kamijou-chan /return.''
''Wagh!'' Kamijou jumped back. ''Who is that voice in my head?''
''Misaka feels saddened that you don't remember her.. /return I'm the one who helped you fight that god remember? /escape''
''God? Oh wait, you're the Will of the Misaka network right? Sorry my memory is pretty fuzzy after denmark.''
''Misaka is glad she is not totally forgotten but that is besides the point /return. Accelerator wants me to allow him to use his full power against you but I don't know if I should let him /escape''
Kamijou was confused. ''Full power? You mean there is more than this?'' The boy was in shock.
''Misaka does not want you to injured /return''
Kamijou smiled. ''You don't have to worry about me. I can save my own skin if this is something he wants to do then you should let him I don't want to get in the way of that.''
''Are you sure you will be okay /return''
''Of course I will be, I am Kamijou Touma after all. No matter who I face I will clench this right fist and never give up even if there is a 0.01% chance of victory I will keep fighting no matter what!''
The Will of the Misaka Network was flattered by the boy's determination, which is the kind of thing she loves about the boy. She is grateful for all of his accomplishments and she is glad she is here to witness his accomplishments.
''Misaka is happy you are so determined that's all I need I wish you the best of luck Kamijou-chan /return.''
Accelerator could hear the whole ordeal on the other side of the room even though he wasn't really trying to pay attention.
The Will of the Misaka network returned inside Accelerator's thoughts once again.
''Misaka will allow you to fight but only because the boy's sake takes things too far and I will end it. This is your path and choice Accelerator /return''
Accelerator gave a soft smile. ''Alright then time for the chaos to begin.''
A new color of wings burst out from the back of Accelerator's body. But this time it wasn't black nor white it was a different color it had circular rings and was a pale color. It was formed as Platinum.
Kamijou was impressed the number #1 had gotten so strong. ''Okay maybe this was a bad idea after all.''
Accelerator rose from the ground and he took flight. He flew right towards Kamijou.
''Gah'' Kamijou jumped to the side evading the collison.
Accelerator changed trajectory and he took flight once again but this time he was aiming for the ground once more.
Kamijou could see the direction in which his eyes were pointed in. ''Is he aiming for the ground again?''
Accelerator folded his right fist back and as soon as he was in close range he punched the ground causing a shockwave. The void itself started to shake; it stretched beyond the earth itself, maybe even to the corners of the galaxy. Accelerator had done something similar in order to separate the soul of Coronzon.
Kamijou was immediately flown up to the ceiling of the void and causing him to hit his back. ''Graah'' Kamijou spit out.
He fell back down on the ground causing him to cough again. ''Graah'
''He's gotten too strong,'' The boy thought.
The boy forced himself up. He was standing with both his legs and both his arms still intact. Kamijou Touma is a very lucky boy anyone else hit by that would have most definitely died from the impact.
Accelerator levitated back to the ground. He saw the boy still standing he wasen't in the least surprised but he could tell the boy's motivation was draining. ''Come on Hero you have fought stronger people than me right? Show me the determination you had against them. Fighting me is no different if you truly want to save everyone you must be willing to pick up the slack!'' the boy shouted.
Kamijou regained his fighting stance. ''Your right…. This is far from over!''
Accelerator stretched his platinum wings dozens of meters over and formed them into blades just like his previous wings.
Kamijou ignored them and just ran toward Accelerator shouting. ''Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaah!''
The wings were slicing through the air trying to hit Kamijou but he evaded all of them simultaneously. Kamijou clenched his right fist and slammed it towards Accelerator once again but this time Accelerator stared at him with his demonic red eyes without the slightest change in expression.
Kamijou leaped back without thinking. (''Crap now he is not even getting phased by my punches anymore, what the hell am I supposed to do?'')
Accelerator formed his platinum wings once again and he swung them down at Kamijou but this time he sent even more of them. They were much faster than the white and black wings.
''Grgh!'' Kamijou had difficulty holding off all of the platinum wings with just his one right hand. To intercept each and every one, he did the best he could to up his number of attacks.
Accelerator saw the boy was losing ground and he used this opportunity to launch another wing from behind. He curved the wing using vector manipulation and while Kamijou was distracted with the others
*Boom*
A loud noise could be heard from the void.
''Grah!''
Kamijou's eyes were fading; he had been struck from behind and he was slowly losing consciousness.
He was slowly falling to the ground.
Had he truly lost this fight?
Was this the best he could do?
Has level 0 finally been defeated by the hands of the top ranked esper?
''Maybe… This battle is just… not for me…''
''Come on you idiot!'' Shouted someone from the stands.
Kamijou's consciousness was reawakened for that small minute he could hear this person's voice.
Misaka Mikoto screamed at the top of her lungs. ''You have never given up on a fight before so don't start now it doesn't matter how strong of an opponent you're fighting, you're the one who always keeps fighting until we are safe so fight for yourself for once. Fight to win for yourself! If you can't do that you can't keep us safe!''
Misaki Shoukhou was in shock. Misaka Mikoto had poured her heart out to the boy and it had a deep meaning to her. She didn't know what to think but she knew she wanted the same for Kamijou to keep fighting and come back safe.
''Don't give up now Kamijou-san you have to save us remember!''
Hamazura was inspired by the girl's words so he did the same. ''Come on Boss, show us your true self, the one that never fails to get back on his feet. You can do this you have the power you have the talent no one else can do what you can do only you have the power to win this!''
Kamijou's eyes were flickering. He heard his friends' words and he heard them pouring their heart and soul to the boy. He thought to himself ''Why.. Why do I chose to fight?''
''Why do I stick my neck out for people. Why do I always put in the most effort and why.. Why can I not stop trying….'' The boy thought to himself.
But then he had flashback memories of all the people he had saved all the people he had raised his right hand to help. He remembered all of it; he fought for their lives, he saved them, he changed their lives for the better. Whether he realized it or not he was the hero in their hearts.
''I save people….. I save people… I save those that I care about…. Because….. Because…. Because….. Because I want to!''
Kamijou Touma's eyes reawakened and he forced his body back into the real world. He was going to fight and he wasn't doing it for others this time. He was doing it for himself. He stood up on his two feet with his arms held high and he was not about to back down.
''Now that is the hero who saved all of those lives! You don't need a damn rule to keep fighting, that's not who you are so drop that act and show me who you really are meant to be you damn hero!'' Accelerator shouted out.
Kamijou Touma ran towards Accelerator and shouted. ''All I needed was that little tip to send me back into reality I'm thankful for the people who have helped me this far and that's all I need to keep fighting for them and for myself I'm Kamijou Touma and I will never give up I will save or fight whoever I have to and no one can tell me its wrong! So show me your new power number #1 I will take all of it!''
Accelerator dashed towards Kamijou Touma acknowledging the boy's words. He smiled then raised his left elbow.
Kamijou Touma and Accelerator clashed. They gave a glance at each other for a second, They both smiled. Then they shouted. ''HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!''
The two exchanged blows between fist and wings. Kamijou was only able to use his right hand against Accelerator so he was at a heavy disadvantage; he had to block and strike with the same hand. Not only that he was taking more blows than dealing them but he didn't falter he kept pushing on. Accelerator was starting to take a toll from the amount of punches Kamijou had inflicted upon him but it didn't stop him from pushing forward.
Accelerator decided to do something abnormal. Accelerator clenched his left fist and tried to punch Kamijou this time. The boy blocked it with his right fist and pushed it away with his left while still grabbing onto it with his right. Kamijou folded his fist once again attempting to throw yet another punch at Accelerator.
(But.)
Accelerator threw his left hand at the boy on purpose. Because it was only a distraction Kamijou looked up ''Oh crap'' but it was too late.
Accelerator threw down a platinum wing directly at the ground they were currently brawling on and it caused a loud boom; they both flew backwards and the collision caused smoke along with a quake to form.
Kamijou immediately got back up. He trembled a bit but he couldn't afford to lose now. When the smoke cleared Accelerator was gone. Kamijou took a glance around the void to try and find where he could have gone but nothing until..
A loud noise came from behind Kamijou's back and it was closing in fast at subsonic speeds. Accelerator threw a platinum wing from behind once again trying to strike Kamijou. There should be no way to evade the attack but.
He did.
Kamijou twisted his body and dogged the wing and grabbed it then redirected it aside. ''Is that all you got?''
Accelerator took a more forward approach, three platinum wings stretched from behind his back and Kamijou deflected them all. Accelerator created three more and sent them towards Kamijou's direction but he grabbed the third one. Kamijou deflected the first two but Accelerator closed the distance then wacked Kamijou with the physical wing. He smacked Kamijou's face repeatedly.
''Grah''
''Caugh''
''Tragh''
It felt like Kamijou's body was getting hit by two trucks from the force of the wings.
Accelerator grabbed the wing once again but this time he hit it in Kamijou's gut causing him to get off balance once again. Kamijou felt the pain but he stood back up anyway.
''I gotta finish him with a single hit, I will be mincemeat otherwise'' Kamijou thought to himself.
Accelerator flew and formed an arc; he used his top speed to end this entire battle in one shot. He had did something similar in WW3 with his white wings that saved countless lives from the Star of Bethlehem.
Accelerator's reflection prevented any attacks not made with his right hand. Kamijou had no objects this time, just his right fist so what could he do differently?
In the instant of the clash between heaven and earth, Accelerator accurately attacked his
target. He saw every action Kamijou Touma took while holding his right fist toward the heavens.
The monster did not even think about evading, but not because he was overly reliant on his reflection. He was well aware how unique that right hand was and he decided to rush in spite of that hand which would pierce his absolute defense.
As long as he remained conscious and could continue his calculations, he would crush the boy before him.

But just then.
Kamijou Touma took an odd action.
He first made a cross counter, just as Accelerator had expected. Aiming for the center of the chest rather than the face was certainly out of the ordinary, but it was within the range of options he could take with that fist.
But what came later was shocking.
He first neutralized the reflection with his right hand and then he grabbed Accelerator's entire body with his left shoulder. He twisted his body while still neutralizing Accelerator's reflection and slammed him into the hard ground. ''Grah'' Accelerator spit out blood from the very hard impact.
But that was not all. Kamijou followed up by twisting his body and clenching his right fist back he gained momentum and at the same exact time. Kamijou slammed his fist against Accelerator's face on the ground causing his forehead to bleed.
Kamijou knew normal punches wouldn't work on the number #1 so he used the force of the ground as a backup plan.
Accelerator's eyes flickered; he could barely retain councincusns. He was slowly falling into a deep deep sleep.
Until…
*WHOOSH*
The platinum wings once again bursted from Accelerator back but this time it increased in size and they were getting bigger and bigger.
Kamijou backed up far away from the other boy. He could tell he was pushing his limits.
Accelerator made his wings humongous; he was ready to begin his assault. He threw down one of the wings just like a blade headed in Kamijou's direction.
Kamijou's adrenaline was rushing to high levels; he immediately ducked and rolled to doge the first wing.
Accelerator simultaneously sent the other wing down at the same exact time.
But the blade was moving so fast Kamijou barely had any time to recover; he had no other option than to throw up his right hand and try to negate it.
Imagine Breaker had the power to cancel out any supernatural power. But there are some spells and or abilities that can surpass Imagine Breaker's power canceling speed, meaning that Touma is unable to completely negate them even with continued use of Imagine Breaker. Accelerator's wings were one of them.
Accelerator's plan was to put an overwhelming force not giving Touma a chance to fight back.
''There's no time I gotta try it now!'' The boy threw up his right hand knowing the consequences but he had to try.
The wing was gaining distance until it finally collided with Kamijou's right hand.
The wing was slowly dissolving but Accelerator forced even more pressure on it he used maximum force until.

Kamijou Touma wasn't fully conscious of it but his right arm had been served. The arm fell on the ground and Kamijou tripped backwards.
''Gah!'' Kamijou finally spoke.
But the boy stood up again. Normally anyone who loses an arm and suffers blood loss could barely stay conscious but the boy was still fully awake and he wasn't focused on losing the arm itself. But something Inside him.
''Oh no is that thing gonna come out again?''
Kamijou tried to cover his right arm with his left but it was too late. Something glowing from Kamijou's arm was forming and the light shined brighter and brighter.
Kamijou couldn't hold it back any longer, he shouted. ''Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!''
He gave Accelerator a quick glance and yelled. ''Get down now!''
Accelerator was confused. He was currently wondering how the boy was even awake but he randomly told him to get down? He was trying to process everything that was happening but it was too late.
From the stands Misaka Mikoto stood up.
''Is it happening again? Is that going to come out?''
Misaki Shoukhou was also very worried.
Sogita Gunha stood up not knowing what was going on but focusing closely on Kamijou. ''Is he going to use his true guts now?''
Kakine did not say a word he simply watched.
Hamazura and Mugino were in shock during the entire fight wondering how what they had just experienced was even possible.
Back to the arena.
Kamijou Touma tried to tell Accelerator to get away but it was too late.
Something bursted from Kamijou's right arm but it took the form of a light blue dragon. IT was called the Ice Crystal Dragon it headed right towards Accelerator.
He bursted out more wings and threw them down at the dragon.
The Ice Crystal Dragon Forced itself threw the wings showing no signs of damage at all. The body of the Ice Crystal Dragon is as hard as the earth itself. It finally collided with Accelerator in the chest causing him to be knocked back to the wall he was thrown 50 meters in under 1.5 seconds. The wings dissolved and the boy's mind shut off causing him to lose his calculations.
Accelerator blacked out, not even getting a chance to think his body got physically destroyed.
Kamijou saw Accelerator get bashed into a wall and shouted . ''That's enough!'' Kamijou shouted at the Dragon.
The Ice Crystal Dragon bowed its head toward Kamijou and slowly started to fade. Before it fully faded Kamijou patted its head.
The Dragon finally dissolved and the fight was concluded.
''Wow, that sure was a spectacular battle. I don't think we have seen anything like it! The winner of the fourth round is Kamijou Touma!''
The Battle between the weakest and the strongest had finally concluded the spiky haired boy had come out on top once again.
Kamijou walked over to Accelerator and lent him his shoulder; he was still unconscious but the boy wanted to help him anyway. ''You really have gotten stronger Accelerator. If I didn't have this power inside me you would have definitely destroyed me. I hope you lead this city well.''
''Thank you everyone for the amazing results. We have prepared individual rooms for you all. While you sleep we will be creating more test so stay ready!''
Hamazura walked over to Kamijou and Accelerator. ''Hey let me carry him to his room for you.''
Kamijou complied and handed Accelerator to Hamazura.
''You did great Boss!''
Kamijou smiled. ''Thanks man.''
Kamijou's eyesight was getting blurry; he could barely see anything. The boy was slowly walking to the audience area where his vision was becoming more and more blurry; he eventually had to stop and hang on to a pole.
''It's… so hot… hard to move….''
The boy passed out.
5 hours later.
Kamijou awoke in a room he saw that a small lamp was on. It looked like a nice room. It had a small window connected to a bathroom on the far left side.
Kamijou recalled his memories of the day fighting Accelerator for the fourth time in a row. He really enjoyed his fight and he was glad to see the person who Accelerator became compared to their first round.
The boy spoke. ''Well that sure was eventful.''
The boy then noticed something strange. ''Hm I feel something soft.''
The boy felt his head laying on something soft. It felt soft and comfortable. He didn't really want to move but he was curious about what he was laying on. He got up on his two feet and turned around and was in shock.
''Eh Misaka!?''
Misaka was asleep herself at the time she was giving the boy a lap pillow but she fell asleep along the way.
Kamijou was surprised that Misaka had taken the boy to his room. He felt happy.
Misaka's eyes finally awakened. ''Mmm… Eh!?''
Misaka backed up. ''Your awake already?!''
Kamijou nervously laughed. ''Yeah sorry if I was any trouble I didn't mean for you to carry me all the way over here.''
Misaka blushed a bit, ''I-It was nothing I'm glad I got to help you.''
Touma was glad his friend was here with him, ''I wonder how Index and Othinus are doing right now…'' The boy was worried if his roommates were okay.
Misaka got a bit annoyed. ''And once again you ignore yourself and start worrying about others.''
Touma turned around with a worried look on his face. ''Hm what do you mean?''
Misaka was a bit tense but she decided to express herself to the boy. ''You just fought Accelerator again and you just passed out, you should be worrying about yourself first before you start acting all selfless.''
The boy was silent for a minute. ''Misaka I…''
She spoke up again. ''I know it's hard for you, but risking your life time after time again and again it's unbearable.''
She spoke from the heart. ''All I want is to fight with you! That's all I ask for, I don't want you to suffer alone anymore carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders alone is too much.''
She moved closer to the boy. ''I care about you I have been kicking myself for not telling you sooner but I do care about you and I want you to be safe.''
She grabbed the boy's arm. ''So please just say the word and I will help you that's all you need to do.''
The room fell silent for a moment; it felt like it was a complete wasteland.
"...I see..."
Kamijou finally began to move his lips but slowly.
It almost looked like a smile.
''So that's how you have felt, I guess it's my fault for not realizing sooner I always thought of protecting someone but not realizing how they might feel in the process''
The boy always put other people over himself not realizing how they might feel about his rash actions, especially Misaka. He always thought he wasn't doing it because it was right but because he wanted to. The boy felt like there didn't need to be a reason to save a person but just to do it because you shouldn't feel obligated to, or rather you want to.
Kamijou glanced at his friend. He thought about all the pain she went through and he wanted to fix that. Step by step
''I'm sorry Misaka for making you worry about me and for everything else I have done. But I do care about you as well. We have known each other for a long time and I didn't really think much of it at first but I do care about you a lot and thank you for expressing how you feel.''
Kamijou used all of his strength to lean close to misaka and put his hands around her with embrace.
Misaka's emotions were all hitting her at once but the one that overpowered them all was happiness. She was happy the boy finally expressed himself to her and that made her heart warm.
The boy whispered into her ear. ''I promise I won't keep anymore secrets from you anymore.''
Misaka started to blush a bit and she hugged the boy tighter ''Thank you….''
11 hours later -
The intercom rang.
Rise and shine everyone! Today we will begin more and more tests so we hope you have all rested up and are ready to go. If you want breakfast we have created a kitchen area down the hall once you're done everyone meet in the center of the void!
Hamazura was the first to wake up. He was pretty worried about Takitsubo but he knew they would be okay.
The boy walked out from his room and into the kitchen where he found the #4 ranked level 5 and leader of ITEM Mugino closing a refrigerator.
''Oh hey surprised to see you up so early''
Mugino turned around to Hamazura and sighed. ''I decided I will take my precious time rushing won't help us get out of here any faster.''
Hamazura walked up to the fridge and opened to grab some fruit and then he sat at the table where Mugino was sitting with a cup of coffee in her hand.
Hamazura broke the silence. ''It's been a while since we have sat down like this it seems like ever since Academy City has closed down everything has been different well to be honest things have been different from the very start.''
Mugino could not deny what the boy was saying as it had some truth behind it. She knew that the city was a mess in itself, But she also knew that there could be some light behind that shadow of darkness. She was not the first to find this conclusion but she knew it was possible.
She finally spoke. ''Hamazura what do you plan to do from here?''
It was a shocking question. The boy had not put too much thought into it before as he was just living his life but that begs the question what does the boy see himself doing now?
''If I'm being honest I really don't know this world is unpredictable so anything could truly happen. But as long as I have ITEM I think I can find what I'm looking for as long as I have my friends who support me I think I will be okay.'' Hamazura replied
Mugino gave a half smile. ''So that's your reasoning make sure to keep that promise to yourself this world won't give two half shits about you so make sure to stick to your own beliefs.''
Hamazura smiled. ''Yeah''
Mugino and Hamazura chatted for a bit longer while eating breakfast.
The number #1 opened the door to find them sitting at the table. He had finally recovered from his battle and he wanted some morning coffee.
Hamazura waved to him. ''Oh hey Accelerator are you doing well now?''
Accelerator gave him a displeased look. ''Does it look like I'm doing well to you?''
''Eh good enough I'd say…'' Hamazura replied.
Accelerator opened the fridge and got some black tea. ''Well at least they have this.''
Accelerator sat down at the table across from Mugino and Hamazura. He slowly slipped his coffee thinking about the city but mainly thought of the one he cared for the most Last Order otherwise known as Misaka #20001.
He left her without telling her anything at the time he wasn't that focused on it but he was happy when she was around him.
''I promise I will make it back to you and these damn researchers aren't gonna stop me'' Accelerator thought to himself.
20 minutes have passed since the two level 5's along with the former skill out leader had eaten their breakfast. They had some short conversations but they didn't last for very long.
Kamijou Touma and Misaka Mikoto walked through the front door completely healed from yesterday's battle. He glanced around the room to see the three sitting on the desk table.
Mugino gave Kamijou a glance. She still couldn't figure out what the boy's power was; he was such a mystery to her.
The boy opened the fridge to grab some water and an apple to sit on the last desk behind them. Misaka followed along with him but instead grabbed a mango.
Accelerator broke the silence. ''So… dragons huh? That's new'' Accelerator didn't turn around; he simply just talked to the boy.
Kamijou drank a bit of his water before replying. ''I don't really understand it myself but it seems like Aliester does.''
Misaka Mikoto bit into her mango. ''Your lucky it was just one.''
Accelerator clicked his tongue. ''Tch you got more?''
Kamijou Touma gave a soft laugh while moving his hand on his apple. ''Yeah it's complicated.''
Mugino sipped her coffee for a bit. ''What about you number #1? Never seen you with wings before you looked like a guardian angel.''
Accelerator gave a slight sigh. ''I just learned how to harness this power, this city and their damn experiments made my life even more complicated.''
Mugino gave a laugh she knew from experience how Academy City keeps pushing the formula.
Sogita Gunha along with Misaki Shoukou and Kakine walked in the room. Now everyone had gathered in the kitchen.
Sogita waved to Kamijou, ''Oi Kamijou your guts were on fire yesturday who'd think I get to see that dragon again your amazing man!''
Kamijou gave a nervous wave. ''Thanks man'' ''Even though I wasn't trying to do that intentionally'' Kamijou thought to himself.
Kakine wasn't hungry so he decided to sit at Accelerator's table. ''So #1 it looks like you have learned a lot''
''Tch don't get all friendly with me what I have learned is my own business what you saw was nothing more or nothing less.'' Accelerator replied.
Kakine gave a slight laugh. ''Hahahha that's the number #1 I remember. I heard your new Board Chairman lead this city well. This city is counting on your leadership.''
Accelerator sipped his coffee again while acknowledging Kakine's words.
Shokuhou Misaki walked over to Misaka Mikoto in a slightly angry mood. ''Misaka-san I can't believe you knocked me out before I could say goodnight to Kamijou-chan!''
''Don't blame me you were arguing with me the entire way to his room and I got tired of your constant chatter.'' Misaka replied.
''Grrrr'' Misaki stared at Mikoto
Misaka did the same with a more intense glare. ''Grrr''
Kamijou was sitting at the table wondering what's going on. ''Why the hell am I even here? And is this Misaka's friend?''
The intercom rang.
Alrighty everyone that's enough banter for now. Please make your way back into the test area of the void. It's time for our next examination!
Accelerator clicked his tongue. ''Tch that time already huh?''
10 minutes later.
Everyone had made their way back into the testing area of the void as requested of them. They were standing inside the box once again awaiting the microphone to come on once again.
Now that everyone is up and ready we can begin our next test! We have gained lots of data from the previous fights and thanks to this it helped us make this!
The void shifted and the room started to turn into an entirely new shape.
Everyone was being moved into a different section.
''Gaah!'' they all shouted.
The void had miraculously turned into a maze!
That's right we have turned the void into a maze. This is your test of courage! This will give you growth but that's not all we have split you into teams of two!
Kamijou turned around to see his partner. ''Agh Misaka!''
''W-Wah? You?.'' Mikoto replied.
Kamijou started to tear up a bit. ''Don't act like that's a bad thing let's work together!''
Misaka sighed. ''Alright let's hurry and do this!''
Meanwhile Accelerator was on the other side of the maze.
''Teams of two who the hell is my partner?.''
''Ah, so we are the pair.'' The #2 spoke.
Accelerator was annoyed. ''You have got to be fucking kidding me..''
Mugino was on the south side of the maze. ''Partners huh? Wonder who is mine.''
''Uh… Hi?'' A girl with blonde hair spoke.
''Oh it's just the other middle school brat great this should be entertaining.'' Mugino replied.
Misaki blew a fuse. ''Brat? Oh I will have you know I have my own clique!''
Mugino looked at her with disgust. ''Oh and your proud of that little group of yours?''
Misaki got more and more angry with the #4.
Hamazura had finally come back into realization of what just happened; he had ended up on the east side of the maze. ''Agh how am I gonna get through this?
''With guts anything is possible!'' A loud spiky haired boy spoke out loud.
''Gah! Gunha you scared me!'' Hamazura shouted
Gunha patted the back of his head with a nervous laugh. ''Ha sorry about I'm just really excited for this give me a chance to show some more Guts!''
Hamazura was slightly nervous but since he had a level 5 as his partner it carried his worries so he decided to toughen up a bit. ''Alright well this wasn't what I was expecting but let's do this!'' the boy shouted.
The intercom rang.
It seems like everyone is pumped and ready for the next test. Well guess what so are we! So do your best and work together. This trial will prove to be much more difficult than your first 3 tests so work hard everyone!
The level 5's along with the level 0's have been put into their next test. Will they learn to tolerate each other and work together or will this end in complete failure?
Hello everyone! It's me and I really hope you enjoyed this chapter. It so far has been the longest chapter I have ever written so I really hope you guys enjoyed it. The pair for this story shall be Kamikoto. I will be working in short Misaka and Kamijou scenes like I did in this chapter so I can advance their relationship through my story. As for the trial of courage this will test each level 5 along with the level 0's to build their relationship even further so I hope to see you guys really enjoy the next few dialogues. As for the fourth round originally I was going to have Accelerator win but I decided to give the victory to Kamijou due to wanting to show off his dragon. I actually had a debate prior about Accelerator vs Kamijou round 4 with my friend. He sided with Accelerator and I sided with Kamijou. The reason why I believe Kamijou would win is due to his durability and his precognition ability. Of course if they were fighting in the city or a place where a lot of objects were around Accelerator would win instantly. But lately they have been fighting in deserted area's. Platinum Wings Accel is hard to scale. We need more feets before we can properly scale him but I think Kamijou could still shrug the wings off a bit and redirect them like he did with Black and White. Kamijou's precognition will allow him to evade and predict Accelerator's movements also I think everyone is forgetting that Kamijou is not a normal human he has taken punishment from beings even stronger than Accelerator literal Gods themselves he even gets out of the hospital in under less than an hour nowadays his durability is off the charts. Although I do also believe the platinum wings could sever Kamijou's right hand since he should be around Awiass/Coronzon level now with them. Which is exactly why I had Accelerator force his wings to cut Kamijou. If Kamijou where to get his hand cut off in the beginning it would have been an instant win which is why I added it at the end. I also have a little theory about Kamijou and how he seems to never actually truly stay dead. He always comes back. Even in GT4 Styil pushed him down 3 flights of stairs and he somehow is able to walk and breathe again after that. I think Imagine Breaker has something to do with that so it's hard to say if anything can actually kill him permanently in my opinion. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed today's chapter.
