"Okay after careful analysis of the nutriment samples I've discovered alarmingly high levels of receptor antagonists as well as adrenal additives. These must be the cause of the elevated combative state of the animals who've ingested them." Mae says.
"Dude what the heck is she talking about?" Kenji asks.
"She means the food has been tampered with and they adding things to make them more aggressive and increasing their ability to feel pain." Alexis says as she looks at Kenji.
"Mantah Corp is the worst." Sammy says angrily.
"Why would they do that?" Darius asks as he holds Mae's vial.
"I have no idea. But it seems more important than ever to get you kids off the island." Mae says.
"No argument here." Kenji says as he coughs.
"Kenji you feeling alright? You're coughing a lot." Alexis says in concern as she looks at Kenji.
"Always. Something just caught in my throat." Kenji says as he coughs.
"Great. Trying to get off yet another island. Any ideas?" Brooklynn asks.
"The supply plane! It comes every two weeks. Only the next one's not due for another ten days." Mae says.
"We can't wait that long." Yazmina says.
"Maybe we don't have to. Any way to make the plane come sooner?" Brooklynn asks.
"Well I mean I suppose it would come if there was some kind of emergency." Mae says.
"If we stop the dinos from eating that messed-up food Mantah Corp would notice right?" Sammy asks.
"Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone. Get rid of the altered T. rex food and get the supply plane to come early!" Darius says.
"Hang on. So we're just gonna somehow get this supply plane to come? All the while avoiding getting eaten by dinosaurs or zapped by killer robots. Then we just sneak onboard and hope that Mantah Corp doesn't notice six kids on the plane until we're back home?" Kenji asks.
"Uh yeah." Darius says.
"Supply plane it is." Kenji says.
"Right. All we need is a solid detailed plan. Give me a minute I'm sure I'll come up with something." Mae says.
"Um Mae? I have an idea that could work. Here's how it'll go down. First we'll wait until the T. rexes go to sleep. Mae, Ben, Alexis, and Yaz will keep an eye on 'em and make sure they stay that way. The minute they wake up you guys will alert-" Darius then gets cut off by Yazmina.
"Sorry can I not be on dino duty?" Yazmina asks.
"But you and Alexis are the fastest." Ben says.
"I know. Like by a lot. But... I stayed up pretty late last night and I could use... a break." Yazmina says.
"No prob. I'll be Team Dino." Kenji says as he sneezes.
"Kenji are you sure you're not getting sick?" Alexis asks.
"Yeah because the last thing I need is to get sick." Brooklynn says.
"Me? Sick? No way! I'm a hundred percent all day every day." Kenji says.
"Okay. So Kenji will keep an eye on the Rexes. Meanwhile Brooklynn and Sammy will get rid of the altered T. rex food. Finally Yaz and I will move in and disable the feeding platform which will hopefully alert Mantah Corp to send the supply plane so that the BRADs can repair it." Darius says.
*Timeskip*
"According to their QEEG's they-" Mae then gets cut off by Kenji as the group is sitting in a tree watching the sleeping T. rexes.
"Their what now?" Kenji asks.
"Um... Maps of their brains. See? Look. They're in a light but restful Stage Two sleep. We just have to be sure to keep extra quiet." Mae says as she shows Kenji her chart before he starts coughing.
"Kenji shh." Alexis says as she looks at Kenji.
"I had a tickle! Won't happen again... It's happening again." Kenji says as he begins coughing and hacking.
"They're waking up! Oh no! Poor things they're still hurt. They should've received medical attention by now. Let me put in a request for a Med BRAD to come." Mae says as the dinosaurs wake up before the big one walks off.
"We gotta tell the others. They'll be sitting ducks!" Ben says before the group takes off running.
"Guys run!" Alexis shouts as the group sees Darius and Yazmina and runs before everyone then hides.
"Everyone good?" Darius asks as everyone pants.
"It worked! The plane will be here in three hours with new food and replacement parts. You lot are almost home." Mae says as everyone cheers.
"Take that Mantah Corp!" Sammy says happily before the group sees a green light and sees a BRAD as its eyes turn red.
"Unauthorized life forms detected." The BRAD says as it prepares to fire at the group.
"Stop! Stand down!" Mae shouts as she gets in front of the group.
"Command override due to unauthorized life forms." The BRAD says as it prepares to fire.
"That doesn't sound good." Mae says.
"Initiating elimination protocol." The BRAD says.
"Run! Everyone, run! Keep left! The airlock to the supply plane is just ahead." Mae says as everyone runs and narrowly makes it into the airlock.
"That was not easy." Alexis says as she pants.
"Okay, okay. That should slow them down. Or not. I'm really beginning to hate these guys." Mae says as the brad opens the door causing the group to run.
"Beginning?" Kenji asks as the group stops at a door.
"How do we stop the BRADs from following us?" Sammy asks.
"I have an idea! You guys go on ahead! Go!" Brooklynn says as everyone runs through the door before she quickly joins them after making the robot fire at the door panel closing it.
"Why is it so... cold?" Sammy asks as the group sees they are in a snow covered place.
"I thought you said this was the way to the plane." Yazmina asks.
"It is after we get through this biome. It's cold but still uninhabited except for us. We'll be safe." Mae says.
"And here I thought Nublar was the trippiest place I'd ever see." Darius says.
"I am definitely not dressed for this." Ben says.
"As much as I love the cold this is not a preferably temperature." Alexis says as she shivers some
"None of us are. And it's definitely not helping my cold. I mean our cold. We're all cold!" Kenji says as Alexis looks at him.
"Ah! Who cares? I've never even seen snow before! It is so pretty." Sammy says happily as she catches some snow on her tongue.
"You do realize that it's Mantah Corp's snow." Yazmina says before Sammy gags.
"Yeah. Pretty or not none of us will last very long out here." Darius says.
"Yes we will. We've got these." Mae says as the group sees two snow mobiles.
*Timeskip*
"What's that?" Alexis asks as the group stops upon seeing a dinosaur laying in the snow.
"Uh I don't know what he is but I'm pretty sure he doesn't wanna be here." Kenji says as everyone gets out and goes over to the dinosaur upon seeing Mae go over to it.
"No! Pierce! He's gone into hypothermic shock. I have to move him out of here somehow... Or he'll die." Mae says as the dinosaur collapses.
"What about the supply plane? It's gonna be here in under an hour." Yazmina says.
"Yaz is right. You kids take the gliders and keep going. I'll figure out a way to get Pierce back into the desert biome where he belongs." Mae says as pierce groans.
"You can't just move a 4,000-pound dinosaur by yourself." Darius says.
"How about some of us go ahead and stall the plane and the rest of us can stay back to help?" Brooklynn asks.
"The only way we'll move a dinosaur that big is with both vehicles. If we're gonna save him we all have to help. We're in." Darius says.
"Sure. I'm not gonna let Mantah Corp hurt one more creature." Sammy says.
"Yeah. If something like this ever happened to Bumpy..." Ben says.
"And the same with Storm." Alexis says.
"We may be on another freaky dino island, freezing our butts off in an arctic biome but we're still Camp Cretaceous." Brooklynn says.
"We got you Doc." Yazmina says.
*Timeskip*
"Hang in there Pierce." Mae says as everyone gets pierce onto a platform and ties it to the vehicles before the group gets inside the vehicles and gets going.
"Cease operation immediately. Unauthorized life forms. Unauthorized life forms." A voice says as it reveals to be a brad as it tries to attack the vehicles.
"Really!?" Alexis asks annoyedly.
"The airlock's straight ahead!" Mae shouts as the group keeps going only to end up on a frozen lake with the brad still chasing them.
"We're not gonna make it." Sammy says in alarm.
"We gotta make it." Alexis says before the group sees Yazmina shove the robot into an opening in the ice with her door.
*Timeskip*
"Oh is everyone okay? Well done. He'll be fine once he warms up. Now get out of here! You've got a plane to catch." Mae says as the group is inside the airlock with Pierce before everyone says goodbye to Mae and quickly leaves.
"No! Hey wait! Come back!" The group shout as they run seeing the place has already left without them.
"Dang it! This sucks." Kenji says as Alexis gives a sad look before hugging Kenji sadly.
"Look guys I know this isn't what we wanted but we did the right thing. Right?" Darius asks.
"Darius... Let's go check on Mae." Ben says as he and Darius leave before Kenji sneezes.
"I knew it. You are getting sick." Alexis says annoyedly as she quickly pulls away from Kenji.
"Fine. I may have caught a little something. And our adventure through winter wonderland didn't exactly help." Kenji says as Alexis growls annoyedly at him.
"Yaz are you okay?" Sammy asks as she looks at Yazmina.
"No Sammy. I'm not. I keep having nightmares. I thought it would all be okay if we could just get off Nublar. But here we are still being hunted by robots now like dinosaurs weren't enough." Yazmina says sadly.
"Oh Yaz..." Sammy says.
"Even if I do get home someday... I'm afraid I'll never feel normal again." Yazmina says sadly.
"You're not alone. I've been having nightmares too. Once you've stared down a Dimorphodon it's hard to forget. I mean die is right there in the name." Brooklynn says.
"My nightmares are usually about fire-breathing Compies, that can also read your mind." Sammy says.
"My worst one is getting stuck with the middle seat on an airplane and having to share the armrest with a Scorpius Rex." Kenji says.
"Mine is getting attacked by raptors." Alexis says.
"I get saving Pierce was the right thing to do but stopping and helping dinosaurs cost us getting home... again! I'm just tired! And I miss my mom." Yazmina says sadly as she cries before Sammy hugs her.
