"We will make it home Yaz. If you say it enough times it's gotta be true right?" Sammy asks before the group laves.
*Timeskip*
"The plane left without you? I'm so sorry. I don't understand what's going on here but you have my word that I'll get you off this island somehow." Mae says.
"No. We're not leaving. Obviously this isn't what we wanted. Like at all. But we can't quit now. Mantah Corp doesn't care if they're hurting their dinosaurs. And Mae you can't protect them all on your own. We have to stay until we fix this however long it takes." Darius says.
"Sure. Whatever you say." Yazmina says.
"Let's get to work then. We've gotta get Pierce back to the desert biome. And if the plane's gone, that means the new dinosaur food has already been unloaded. We'll go check the T-Rex area to make sure the BRADs haven't tainted their food." Mae says.
"Y'all Yaz and I are both wrecked. So we're gonna go get some rest if that's cool." Sammy says as everyone looks at her and Yazmina.
"Of course." Brooklynn says.
"Take all the time you need." Alexis says.
"Yeah don't worry about it." Ben says.
"After you're all done we'll meet at Mae's and figure out a game plan to protect those dinos." Yazmina says as the group leaves.
*Timeskip*
"You kids stay back. He's clearly agitated and I don't want him to... Pierce! Pierce stop. Stop. Stop Pierce stop. Calm. Calm. Scared. Yes. But... You don't have to be scared. 'Cause we're gonna take you... Home. That's right darling. Home." Mae says as she uses her tablet to get Pierce to calm down.
"She... She just talked to a dinosaur." Darius says in amazement.
"Pfft. She did it with fancy science buttons. Bumpy and I found a way to talk through here. The biggest button of all." Ben says as he gestures to his heart.
"I had a deep connection to Storm as well Ben but even you gotta admit that was kinda cool." Alexis says as she looks at Ben.
"Okay fine. It was cool." Ben says as Alexis smiles.
*Timeskip*
"So now you decide to just drop oh yeah. I can speak to dinosaurs but whatevs." Darius says as the group walks with Mae and Pierce.
"I guess hiding my personal side project from you all isn't necessary anymore. I was waiting to develop the research more before I shared it with Mantah Corp. Not sure I'm doing that now." Mae says.
"Yeah. I'd follow that instinct." Ben says as Alexis nods in agreement.
"Could I... Could I try?" Darius asks as Mae looks at him as he smiles.
"Go on then you've earned it." Mae says as she gives Darius her tablet.
"Yes. Friend. I'm your friend. I'm your friend. Hey." Darius says as Pierce gently uses his head to push Darius aside much to his displeasure.
"Don't be discouraged mate. It takes time to build a bond with a dinosaur." Mae says.
"Actually Bumpy and I hit it off right away. Just like Alexis and Storm did." Ben says proudly.
"Too soon Ben." Alexis says as she looks at Ben.
*Timeskip*
"Calm down Pierce. Calm down. Safe. Safe. Safe. Poor thing has to be starving." Mae says as she calms pierce down again.
"Little Eatie is still hurt. The med BRADs you called never went to help her." Brooklynn says as she and Kenji come running over.
"How could your orders be overridden? I thought there was no communication on or off the island." Darius says.
"There isn't. Someone must be here giving counter orders. Kash." Mae says.
"Who's Kash?" Alexis asks.
"My boss. Right then. You get Pierce to his food. Kash will be in the jungle biome. I'll get cleaned up then go get some answers." Mae says.
"You sure that's safe?" Ben asks.
"Kash is a harmless blowhard with a penchant for bad music and even worse tattoos. Plus until I know what he's up to it's best he doesn't know you're here." Mae says.
"Be careful Mae." Alexis says.
"Come on Pierce. Let's get some chow. Come on now boy." Darius says as he tries to get Pierce to move with no luck.
"He may not listen to you but you can try. I'll be back soon." Mae says as she gives Darius her tablet and leaves before Sammy and Yazmina run over startling pierce.
"Calm down Pierce. Calm down. Yeah that's it." Darius says.
"Darius where's Mae?" Sammy asks.
"Oh she went to see her boss in the jungle biome. Some guy named-" Darius then gets cut off by Sammy.
"Kash." Sammy says angrily.
"How'd you know?" Darius asks.
"I'm gonna go confront him and get some answers." Sammy says angrily as she begins to walk off.
"Kenji: What? But Mae said-" Kenji then gets cut off by pierce getting startled.
"Pierce it's okay. Safe Pierce. You're safe." Brooklynn says.
"Sammy wait!" Alexis shouts.
"Sammy I know how mad you must be but maybe we should wait and-" Yazmina then gets cut off by Sammy.
"All we do is wait. I'm tired of it." Sammy says angrily.
"Well Mae said we should stay put." Darius says.
"No. You don't get it. Kash... Kash is the one who blackmailed my family." Sammy says.
"I can't imagine how you feel right now. But we won't get to the truth by confronting a guy like that." Darius says.
"How do you all not get this? I thought you were my friends." Sammy says angrily.
"Sammy no. You can't." Darius says.
"You don't get to make decisions about what I do." Sammy says angrily as Pierce begins acting up.
"It's okay. You're okay." brooklynn says as pierce settles down.
"Guys? Where did Sammy go?" alexis asks as the group sees sammy is gone.
*Timeskip*
"What are you doing?" Sammy asks as the group finds her and stops her from going over to Kash and Mae as the two are with robots and raptors.
"Sammy you're our family and we're gonna protect you." Yazmina says.
"Guys." Brooklynn says as the group watches Kash turn on Mae as the robots turn on her.
"Darius: Is he... No. He wouldn't." Darius says as the robots eyes turn red.
"We gotta help her." Alexis says.
"Okay, listen up." Darius says as he tells the group his plan before they split up.
"No you can't do this. Please!" Mae shouts as she gets cornered by two brads before a rock is thrown at the robots by Alexis and Kenji.
"Hiya you bucket of bolts." Alexis says as she smiles.
"I think we got its attention." Kenji says as the robot fires at him and misses thanks to Alexis pulling him out of the way.
"Run?" Alexis asks.
"Right." Kenji says as he and Alexis take off running with the robot after them before the group takes care of the robots.
*Timeskip*
As the group finds Sammy and Mae they soon see a brad before it is taken out by a Velociraptor as Mae runs up to try and attack the robot only to get attacked by the Velociraptor and thrown to the ground.
"Mae!" Alexis shouts as she shifts to wolf form and jumps in front of Mae growling at the Velociraptor before more show up as Sammy then quickly uses the head from the robot to shoot electric at the Velociraptors scaring them off.
"Let's go." Darius says as the group grabs Mae and leaves.
*Timeskip*
"Ben's keeping a lookout. This'll work. For now." Kenji says as he and Alexis walk over to the others as they are in a cave.
"I'm sorry. If you all hadn't stopped me I'd probably be dead right now. Heck you might be too. I'm sorry." Sammy says as Yazmina puts her arm around her.
"You facing Kash wasn't about it being the brave thing to do it was about whether it was the smart thing to do." Brooklynn says.
"Easy B." Kenji says.
"Sammy if you hadn't done that we wouldn't of been in the right place at the right time to help save Mae. It's okay." Alexis says.
"You're right. The only way for us all to get the answers we want is to play the long game." Sammy says.
"Then that's what we'll do." Darius says.
