Changing Dark Timelines
Starfleet was in shambles. The entire Federation was in shambles. Romulus and Vulcan were gone. And Picard, for some reason, thought it was a perfect time to leave Starfleet.
But that wasn't the worst of it.
Admiral Janeway scowled and rolled up her sleeves. "Gotta fix the friggin timeline AGAIN so my Borg daughter can have some peace and happiness..!"

A short while later, the admiral collapsed onto a couch with a fresh cup of coffee.
"THERE. I FIXED it. It's over. Icheb is alive, Seven is happy, Chakotay and I are getting married in two weeks, and it only took three alternate timeline versions of myself to die to fix everything. Everything else that happens in that forsaken universe is part of an alternate timeline now. Undoubtedly the DARKEST timeline known to any living being here in the prime universe." She paused, thoughtfully. "Picard is still yelling at Starfleet in this timeline, but what else is new?"
