![]() Author has written 15 stories for Code Lyoko, Ranma, and Love Hina. Well guess its time to do this thing right its 12:11 AM 11-Jul-07. As you can Probably tell from the time posted im primary Nocturnal (that really sucks when you have a day job, but what can you say it pays For the schooling and my pas so cant complain too much.) So of course most of my writing gets done at night while im in a drowsy trance like state Dont ask! Anywho about me: My primary interest are Martial arts, writing and Philosophy, and yes I have a college degree and a day job although it usual consist of working Swing shifts around my studies so im only able to publish my stuff in spurts because my schugel is so messed up so forgive my inconsistency. Writing I have always Loved to write Its something I started when i was about 10 years old or somewhere close to that age, you would have never told form my grades though I passed freshman English with a 69.4599 so yea I have beat punctuation and grammar into my skull like a freeking stake but years later i still suck at it. Consequently im final realizing I need a beta reader. Well I mostly write about topics that are largely Overlooked or unexplored aspects of the universe and the existing characters after all it is called fan-fiction for a reason. Plus i like to challenge myself with New ideas and situations for that reason I like Alternate Universe and possibly maybe 1 or two characters from other Animies/Mangas in a crossover however I am not a big fan of the crossover and especially not the Mega-Crossover genre. Most not all but most crossovers and Mega-crossovers seem to follow something of this general pattern... Main character A shows up in Main character B's Universe and the two become INSTANT best friends (Not likely since most Main characters would Probably fight and become rivals if anything for Instance Naruto and Ranma... I rest my case) And As if each Anime/Manga dident already have enough original characters then Supporting characters A somehow end up meeting Supporting characters B and Personalities and egos go flying like Mash potatoes at a summer camp luncheon. Then throw in some random Marry-sue's and Its enough to make Me wanna go on an angry rampage ( of course im sure my grammar dose that to some peeps=) That said there are some good crossovers out there such as "Halo: Hinata evolved" by Neferius "The legend of Uzamaki Naruto: A beginning" by General Grevious and from my experience Just about any Anime/Manga crossed with the pirates of the Caribbean series Of course that might the the rum i was drinking at the time...Nevermind The truth be known the writing of a crossover is an art form that many attempt and few ever master so Possibly im being to critical but I like good stories to be told and not just a jumbled bunch of characters songs being sung without any real reason or story behind it but that's just my loley opinion so take it or leave it i really dont care either way. |
