Chapter 2: New strength.

When I came to my surroundings had changed. I was in a dark space. I could feel a pressure on my entire body. I could barley make out the place I was in. A dark black space with barley any visibility. But for some reason it was all very clear to me. I knew where every bump and wall was in this room. I could see a single entrance. circular almost. Big enough for me to crawl threw.

But my body didn't want to listen to me. I couldn't move it. I was tired I was sore but more importantly I was alone. Nothing was in this room with me. Before long I was aware that there was something off about me but I couldn't tell. As I lay there not even able to get my legs working I could suddenly sense something approaching. And yes I used the word sense.

It was like I could feel who ever it was approaching. As it got closer I saw those familiar hands grip the edge of the opening. One of those creatures was coming. It was coming and my body wasn't listening to me or obeying me. I could barley lift a finger. Soon it pulled itself up over the ledge. "I ssee. Sshe wass right you are sspecial yess yess. you ssurvived your blood changing and it sseems your sstarting to wake."

I could hear her clearly now. More then I ever could. Xero I knew her by the slight color pigment change. I tried to move again. this time my body was responding. Xero seemed to catch this as I was trying to stand up. I needed to get out of this nest. once they arrived this place was going up in flames. "No no. adjusst to your new body you musst. Firsst human ever queen hass ssuccessfully changed. Xero getss lil one of her own to take care of yess."

Her words registered quickly. New body and first human to ever change. I had to pause my movements and look down at myself. I almost couldn't believe it. Every thing was different. My human skin gone replaced with a black almost thick skin hugging my body. I could feel the protruding parts out my back. The tail slide into few beside my feet. I saw my hands and the finger all across them both. I had to try and breath. This wasn't right I shouldn't look like these things.

Another thing that registered was she said little one for her. I thought only the queen was the mother in the hive she could tell I was puzzled. "Your not normal no you arent. your not born like the resst of uss sso your not a daughter to the queen or a ssisster to me you are firsst human to be changed you are to be raissed by Xero" She seemed excited about this idea.

I didn't want to speak knowing that this was going to cause problems. Before I could speak or do anything thou she pushed me back to my spot. "Resst for now. Your sstrength iss needed when your to be taught ass queen hass instructed." She made me lay back down and she seemed to take a sitting position beside me wrapping her tail around me as if protecting me.

I couldn't really fight I was barley able to move so I just laid there and drifted to sleep. Of course that was hours to me. This whole even took a day maybe two at most. But I was snapped out of my thought by my alarm clock going off. It snapped me awake out of my bed of all things. Yes my bed. I was up and awake back in my own world. Two days I spent in that other place. So my family must have been so worried.

But that's not the only strange thing. I woke up to see it was the next day the literal day after my birthday. That was not possible. I had been on that trip for two days. Two agonizing days of pain. I looked myself over and every thing was back to normal. Every thing was just ordinary. That made me relaxed. I got up and check the kitchen to see my Mom in uniform and my brother at the kitchen table.

"Nick! How long was I asleep?!" I asked almost shouting from the other side of the room. "You have been asleep the whole night Ren. why?" He seemed to be puzzled by the question. I just dropped it and backed into the hallway so I could go brush my teeth. I just had to relax and calm down that way I could forget that whole thing happened. At this point I was just thinking it had to be a super realistic dream. Nothing like that could happen.

It just wasn't possible. Nothing a Movie producer could make would ever be so real. Of course that's where things took a rather strange turn. I could remember every detail about those creatures. It was that vivid. from the claws to the tail to the fangs in their heads. And just because they had human features didn't mean they didn't have fang's because they did.

So when I was brushing my teeth and saw the same fangs hanging out my mouth I had to catch my self to keep from screaming. It wasn't just a dream any more this was real. My wish was granted but why was the question. And why did this have to be the world I jumped to. Time seemed to pause around me. Then the voice started up again. "Don't be alarmed. This was what you wished for"

A face appeared in the window. "I am Xephenia and I granted your wish. It is your power to do with as you wish. Sadly the side effect was I had to take you and your family to new world. One where your abilities wont be noticed. Your abilities carry you with greater attributes then most. I do however sense others with your gifts in this world. Who they are I have no idea. But do well to guard your secret. If it gets out you'll be in grave danger" With that she smiles and faded away.

I wouldn't ever see her again in my lifetime but that's to far ahead. My world was changed forever now. I had no idea how to handle it I had to clue if this power would cause a change in real life. It was crazy. For all I knew this was just one big dream and I would wake up and it be all over. But no things would be very different from this point on.

I laid in bed thinking about how this was going to affect my life. I had to keep this a secret I had to keep my strength under wraps so no one would know what I was capable of. If this world was similar to mine then I had every intention of keeping to my friends to my way of things. I did notice something thou. I had gone online to find out what xenomorphs abilities where and they didn't appear. Not a single thing.

Xephenia was right different world after all. What ever this was is was going to take me learning on my own to figure it out. I just hope this would be the only world I enter towards. I didn't want any other unexplained things happening to me while I had no idea what was going on. Again I was just 11 at the time. My current situations at that age revolved around family that's it

I spent that whole day laying in bed keeping to myself. It was Sunday so school was out. I needed to take a long hard look at what I could do. I made a promise to myself. The next time I entered that world. I would use that time to figure things out so I could understand my body. From the appearance I only get two days at a time to explore and determine how my body reacted.

I didn't need all this trouble from this new life to get in the way of things. I would learn. As long as it took I would learn how to control this ability. I laid in bed that Sunday night ready more then ever to get a grip on myself. I was ready. Xero would teach me how this body worked. And I would do what ever it took to understand it. I let my eyes close more then ready to learn.

But when I awakened yet again I was in that same dark cave yes but Xero was not there. I couldn't sense any of them their. I had fallen asleep with her protecting me yet none of it made any sense. How long was I asleep in this world. If only a day passed on mine. I tried moving my body again and this time there was no fight. My body was obeying me. It was doing what I wanted it to do.

I tried moving around. Every thing seemed to work. Then I got nuts and tried climbing the walls and ceiling. I was able to do that no problem as well. I was able to keep my movements in sink with what I wanted to do. I was healed from what ever was keeping me from using my body the way I needed to the day this started. I crawled out to the tunneling of the nest .

I needed to figure out where every one went. By the time I got out into the main tunneling of the nest itself. I ended up letting out a hiss of disgust. The smell of death had filled my nose. That smell wasn't here originally. How long was I asleep was all I could think. It was the only thought running threw my mind. I kept looking around as I traveled threw the areas around the nest. I not only smelled death but something was burning.

Then my thoughts turned very quickly. This had to be the the period when they arrived. I had been sleeping in this world right threw it. I started running towards the largest chamber. I didn't know how I knew it was their I just knew. I went as fast as my legs could carry me. When I got there I had to pause. The eggs that littered the ground where burned to a crisp.

some of the xenomorphs that inhabited theses cave where laying on the floor in chards as well. I couldn't believe it. I ran out towards the exit into the station. I could see signs of struggling. there was a fight here. There was empty turret guns on the other side of the tunnel I was running across I instantly knew what had happened. Ripley and her marines had come threw here.

There was nothing left. From what I could tell thou there where some slight changes. The reactor should have been damaged to the point it would blow. But it hasn't which means that there was more care taken in there this time. I some how changed the course of the entire story here. I had one thought burning threw my mind thou the entire time i was scouring the complex.

Where was Xero. Where was she. She was there with me and then some how she was gone. I needed to find her and I needed to find her fast. She was the only one left who would be able to teach me. It wasn't possible she had died in this entire thing. There where many bodies of her sisters on the floor yes but I didn't once see her. She had to have gone some where. She had to be some where where I could find her.

I didn't want to stop searching for her. I didn't know why I wanted to find her so bad I just kind of had to. It was a dream world to me yes. But I needed to find her. I needed answers as to what happened here. I stopped at what was the room I had woken in the first time. It seemed untouched. The metal looked the same the furnishing looked a little weathered but still together and my room door was open.

I made my way there and paused. In my bed was the one who threatened me. I new it was her I didn't know how but I knew. "You live. Xero wass right." I looked at her quickly getting to her side. "Xero knew you where alive. Sshe wass possitive you lived." I could hear her hissing as if she was trying to get her last breaths out. "Find Xero sshe went with the resst to hunt the humanss that arrived. We had to obey the queen." With that she just stopped talking.

I figured she had died right then. I didn't even bother trying to speak to her. I needed to find Xero and I didn't need to guess where to look. If this was anything like the movie. I would find every thing I needed by the landing site. There would be evidence there that would help me. I just needed to understand what went one here first. I had to find the main entrance.

I figured if their where any answer it would be in the main entrance of the complex. But I wasn't sure yet. I needed to know exactly for sure. By the time I had made my way down that direction the answers where getting pretty clear. I saw bodies of her sisters all over the place. More marines must have survived this time. Because the body count was way to high.

By the time I reached the main entrance I wasn't to hopeful she was still around. I had bound my way threw all the hallways and rooms of this complex by this point just to find her. When I reached the main entrance I had to go outside. I didn't waste time I opened the door and charged outside. When I got to what was the landing sight I could tell there had been a lot of fighting. What happened thou caught me off guard. I was jumped on from behind and when I saw who it was I could help out laugh "Yess! I knew you lived xero knew her child lived"
