Chapter 4: 12 years old.

I would end up taking 8 more trips to see Xero just to check up on her. I needed to be sure that I could get her out. But every time a new problem presented itself. The latest was that the complex near us I could tell was fully repaired and back to operational status. I could also feel very few of Xero's sisters running around free out there. I could tell alot more were kept as captives I could feel their anger at it.

The last time I went thou I realized something. Xero was my only concern. What if I could show her away to disguise herself. It was a ability I learned I had early one but since there wasn't any humans on the planet I had no need. But now that they were here I had to try. That plan was very hard thou. I had no clue if she could learn it because I was originally human I had a form to take.

I remembered how my DNA was shifted around by the previous queen. I figured that way would work but I didn't wanna hurt Xero. But I had very little choice. The day I approached Xero about it. she was nervous. She couldn't really get her head around the idea of hiding in plain site but I told her it was the only way. I took some time to let her think on it.

I wouldn't go back for a while. My life outside of the dream world was getting speed up again. The day before my previous visit was right before my 12th birthday. I had spent months trying to figure out this solution to save Xero. And time in her world was running short. She's already been with out any thing for 4 years about at this point in her world.

I needed to figure out how this would work. But when I woke up it would have to wait. I woke up to my mom and my brother holding a cake with a candle on top of it in my bed room. It was a surprise to say the least. I ended up blowing out the candles to make a wish. Something more realistic. I still acted my age in my world because the one I visited was my secret. No one could no.

And for a whole year I surprised my power to the best of my ability. I was a lil more stronger then normal so I took up sports to threw people off the scent. No one needed to know how strong, quick, or agile I actually was. My abilities would stay secret as long as I could keep them that way. Threw out the day we celebrated my next year. I was happy for that. I was older physically by one year mentally I was way older.

I kept my appearance up the hole day no one even guessed what was really going on in my head. But the real concern in my head was on Xero. I was getting close to my time ending in this world and I wanted to make sure she would be safe. I still cared about her I still wanted her to be protected. She was probably the only one I needed to save before I left. That way when she starts her hive she would have at least a chance.

Upon the ending of my birthday my family all saw I was exhausted from the days activities. We had gone fishing then bowling then we went to a movie. I was drained. I went to my room and climbed into bed. My rest didn't last long because the moment I shut my eyes I was wide awake again this time in my cave. Over the years she started turning it into a mini nest. The walls resembled that of one. I woke to her looking threw a crack in the wall. It had developed over time.

My guess was some idiot kids playing around. The free sisters of Xero wouldn't go with in 2 foot ball fields of the inhabited zones. They always kept a wide birth. We sadly where housed with in that perimeter. I walked next to Xero looked at her. "Xero wantss out lil one sso do what you musst Xero is ready." She seemed sure about it. I took a finger on my hand and snapped the tip off. It hurt very back I had to suppress a scream.

If i didn't the marines would be on us in minutes. I took my finger and sliced it into her shoulder. She didn't let out any kind of noise. Yes it hurts us both but sharing my blood with her with my mixed DNA was the only solution. It would take time for it to take affect maybe two to three days on Xero. I had time to wait. thou on the second day I was getting concerned because i saw a stick was slide in threw the crack in the rock walling.

The kids where getting brave to try and get in here. The fact their were even kids out in the open was most likely because o the oxygen generators. I took every precaution I could and used what ever small rocks I could find to fill in the space all while leaving some room for Xero to watch the world. Upond the third day I figured it was time to try it.

"So this is a simple trick it's not to hard not to difficult to practice. All you need to do is focus on yourself. What would you imagine yourself to look like as a human." I demonstrated what the process was like. It didn't take long. I was able to shed the body as it retracted back into me quickly. After 3 minutes I was standing their fuly clothed in the old Uniform.

Xero took time to master it. I actually was impressed how fast she did pick it up thou it took me a year. It took her a week. When she was finally able to master it she looked like a female version of me. Thou i probably should get her some cloths before we leave this cave. She was completely naked. I had t risk going out to find her something that fit.

I just became 12 and I have to go find cloths that fit a adult female version of me. That was very disturbing in a sense. Course it wasn't that hard to do. I had managed to sneak into the old station to find the living space I used. I was surprised no one actually stopped me since I was wearing the old uniform. from 8 years ago. That was a long time in any ones standards.

Finding my room wasn't hard I had used in threw out the years of training. I guess no one could figure out the password on the door panel outside. They could have done a bypass if they so wanted. I entered the number and walked right inside. I could smell the layer of dust in their. It had been a long time since any one was in this room. I walked around looking over every thing.

I could see the hole from where I had accidently hurt Xero. The tail training was difficult in the small space so we moved it to outside. I went for my room quickly. I opened it up and stayed still. I forgot we had turned it into a final resting place for fang. The whole room looked like a mini next with fang wrapped up in a kind of cocoon coffin. That was my way of saying rest in piece.

I went looking threw some of the drawers in my room when I heard commotion. "Did some one actually get this door open?" I froze. I had a pair of old pants in my hand. I quickly shut the room door so that if they walked in no one would see. "There's no way no one knew the code" I heard walking inside. "Well some one new I mean look at this room. It looks like some one put up a hell of a stand."

I heard the voices talking. I was frightened. I hadn't seen these humans up close. I was terrified about how they would react on a station like this. I didn't waste any more time I started going threw the old cloths quickly. I didn't realize I was making any noise. "You hear that right? Sounds like its coming from the bed room." I could hear them walking close.

I wasn't going to get to the door in time so I ended up hiding out of side behind the locker wall. when I heard the door slide open I knew things where going to get bad "Oh Jesus! Call security and the Xeno biologist they will want to see this." I held the cloths close to my chest trying to keep my self calm. I straightened up not realizing the back of my leg made contact till i heard the sound.

"Whos there?!" I stayed perfectly still. I could hear the security coming in as well as who ever. "I didn't realize this room was opened." I could hear a feminine voice speak up next. "Why was I brought into this room... Oh my goodness that's not what i think it is is it?" I could hear her breath stop in surprise. "Looks like it doc. a burial for a bug. That's a new one."

I could hear her moving forward excited. "Hold it doc something's in their!" I instantly heard weapons being locked and loaded. This wasn't good. the vent was behind me yes but it was against the far wall I wouldn't get to it in time. And I would raise alarms. This was very bad. But it could be worse. I could have been caught sneaking in.

The biggest worry I have is that I still look like a 16 year old. I could pass it off like I was 8 but that wouldn't do any thing to help. I could hear them walking inside weapons ready. "If there's some one in hear come out." I was frightened. "Are you kidding no one is alive from that far back it's gotta be a bug." I could hear their heart rates pick up. "If it's a surviving one don't kill it. One separated from the nest so long would be a excellent creature to study."

That scientist was going to be disappointed. I only saw one way out. As soon as I saw the flashlight beams shine my way I sent a mental shout to Xero. "The humans found me but i'm using my disguise. Ill be a lil late ill sneak out when I can." I took a breath and walked out. They all pointed their weapons at me and I stood their holding onto the change of cloths.

"Dear god a survivor!" The doc didn't even wait she pushed passed the security team and close to me. I backed away staying away from her. "Put your guns down your scarring him!" She was a little more caring sounding now. "Theirs no way he has to be 16 at least." I could hear them talking in the back at the situation. "That means he was 8 when this all started but where has he been?"

I had to play the part of a isolated human. But that wasn't to hard. "Its ok, its ok they wont hurt you." I could tell she was speaking the truth. I stayed back not moving as she tried to get closer. "don't worry I wont bite i'm not one of those things." She was talking as if she was talking to a child who was dealing with monsters. "Doc are you sure this is safe. he's been with out contact so long."

He was right to be worried I could easily rip them to bits but I wasn't going to. She got close enough to grab my arm and slowly ease me out. "Lets go get you cleaned up and looked at" She lead me out the room towards where ever her lab was. "We should contact the big wigs back on earth they'll want him shipped to them fast. "HE'S NOT A SCIENCE PROJECT HE WONT BE GOING TO THEM" The doc screamed back at them.

"Doc they wanted all material of the incident. He could know something." she looked at them but before she could speak I spoke up. "What ever you think you'd learn from me is pointless I stayed hiding for 8 years." They all looked at me shocked. the fact that I could speak surprised even the doc. "Right follow me then dear. we will get you cleaned up and a change of cloths."

I didn't have any choice but to follow. If I played my hand to soon this was going to end messy. I followed close. One I see a opening i'm going to take it. I had to et back to Xero. I wasn't going to leave her here to find her herself right after I showed her how to change her appearance. Once we entered the lab I scanned the room looking for any possible exit. "Now lets get you cleaned up" The doc was patient with me. I played along for now.
