Gothel quickly threw the door open

"ARKYN!!" She yelled as she quickly started to pack some things up to start moving

"We gotta go sweetie! I know this is last minute but maybe it will do us good, I'm sorry mommy yelled at you, I'll get you another toy soon" she said trying to shield the worry and fear in her voice

And after minutes of no response she stopped what she was doing and the same fear of seeing hiccup came lingering back to her.

"Arkyn...?" She asked worriedly.

And before she knew it to ran to his room flinging his door wide open breathing heavily she saw no one and quickly went to uncover the sheets in hopes he was just sleeping but there was no one.

"No.." she whispered.

She was breathing hard feeling like every last bit of air she inhaled was her last. The fear was so strong she couldn't think and started to panic. Millions of questions ran through her head, she needed to call drago she need to find Arkyn an fast! She put both hands on her head trying to straight everything out and calm herself down she had never felt this fear for her life till now.

Hiccup was miles away with his hands on his head too but with the frustration that they had to travel back to Scotland,

Hiccup let out a big "Ughhh!!"

Carona had started to get a big dog storm that didn't let them see a thing so Hiccup gave the order to retreat and go back the next day 'cause with that fog no one was going to find anything. He made sure everyone was on the boat before he got on giving him the chance to look back at the kingdom to remember it's not over yet.

"We'll be back before you know it son" Fergus said as he put his hand on shoulder.

Hiccup turned to look at him with a sad look that killed Fergus inside.

"I know..." hiccup said with tears building up in his eyes as he turned back to look at the kingdom.

"He's just so...small" he said and Fergus laughed a little.

"I but have you seen his family?! I don't know about Stoick but his grandpa Fergus is a tough one ay!"

Hiccup chuckled at his words.

"See thats what you needed, a little confidence, don't worry he's fine" Fergus finally said as hiccup smiled at him.

And while they bored the boat they didn't realize Arkyn was on it aswell.

Arkyn slept in a hidden spot below deck until he was woken up by thumping his head on the side of a barril.

"Wha?" She said opening his eyes he could see through the cracks of the ceiling lite coming through it was the sunlight shining through the cracks above. He felt the movement of the boat and got scared a little.

"Are we moving..?" She said when he was started by doors steps above.

He couldn't here what they were saying it was all mumbling and faded from the distance until something started him the most a big sound like huge feet above him. Arkyn was so worried until the thing made a sound, a deep purring sound.

"The dragon !" Arkyn said in a loud whisper his worried expression became a happy one.

"Okay I'm in the right boat it's going to be okay.." he reassured himself.

"I hope my dad likes dragons..." he said to himself softly as he hugged his little bag.

It felt like forever but nightfall came eventually.

As Arkyn slept below Hiccup was above he could see Scotland so close it was only a few hours till they got there but he could see it he thought of Merida and it made him smile. They thought there hidden love was hard now having a child with them was hard. Where they always doomed...his smile faded as he looked down at toothless sleeping beside him.

"No this was just..." he sighed. Then his mind wandered to Gothel making his hands clench into fists. He hadn't seen her in a while. Could she have anything to do with it?! Then suddenly he relaxed.

"No she loves Merida to much for that, as much as she hates me she wouldn't." He said to himself then went to get ready to land.

Time passed till they finally got to Scotland it was almost morning but the sun wasn't out yet as everyone began to unload the ship and get off hiccup had already had disembarked the ship, and to his surprise he heard clanking of feet fat behind him and as he turned around he saw Merida in a cloak riding on angus as full speed. Hiccup smiled and laughed at himself he knew she would do this once hearing the ships and once she got a good distance between her and hiccup she jumped off angus while still moving not waiting once second more and ran to her love. She ran and jumped right into his arms making him look some balance but not enough to knock him over. She buried her face into his neck holding him tight as if she never wanted to let him ever go again.

"Missed me?" Hiccup teased softly with a smile.

Merida just nodded into the embrace.

Fergus and toothless saw the gesture and both looked at each other Fergus giving toothless a smile then went over to Hiccup and Merida grabbing hiccups shoulder and whispering to hiccup

"Go ahead i got this."

Hiccup smiled at him and gave him a nod.

Merida finally pulled away and looked up at hiccup with loose curls in front of her face, hiccup brushed them away with his hand seeing her sleepy wet eyes from the tears of job from seeing him.

"Let's go.." he whispered to her as he gave her a small kiss, she returned it as well.

Hiccup decided to carry her bridal style since it looked like she was fighting sleep just to get to him. She was still in he night gown aswell, it seemed she had just put in her shoes and cloak and left But he knew that as tired as she was angus knew where to take her without direction. She wrapped her arms around him as she rested the side of her head on his shoulder.

"Yeu didn't have to carry meh.." she said softly to him.

He chuckled at what she had said

"You don't want me to?" He tease.

He could feel her smile into his shoulder.

"Yes..." she finally replied.

Hiccup then rested the side on his cheek on top of her head and said softly to her.

"Then I will"

They finally got to angus and hiccup lifted Merida up onto her horse before he hoped on. He looked over to the ships and yelled to toothless.

"You coming bud? Or are staying to help?"

Toothless piped his head up and looked over at Fergus then a hiccup implying that he was going to help.

"Okay see you at home then" hiccup replied with a smile then headed off to the castle.

Time passes as they unload the ships. Arkyn woke up since he felt the hit on the boat on to the side of the dock. As they unloaded the equipment Arkyn was scared they would find him but they never did until he heard someone yelled

"Alright men that's it!"

It had seemed that where he was it was backup supplies. He was relieved but now he had to wait till the area was clear.

An hour passed and Arkyn finally heard nothing, he peaks out and the whole area is empty. It was still dark and he took this chance to get off. He quickly jumped off the boat on to the dock, he felt scared as he walked closer to shore. Everything was darker he could only see a few lights until he finally got to the shore and looked up higher. The Castle.

"Whoa..it's bigger than the other one" Arkyn said as he admired it.

It was made of stone it was big high as it was wide, the torches around it and inside made it glow beautiful.

"Maybe they can help me ? No...they would know I'm not from here, maybe there's a village by" Arkyn thought to himself and hugged his bag going into the forest to search for the village. Hoping someone could help him.

The woods were scarier than the dock he grabbed onto his bag tightly, he's never been in his own and especially in the dark. After some time he chose a spot to sit down and rest until day time.

He heard noises that scared him to his core but he closed his eyes shut squeezing them telling himself he was okay.

"I'm not scared, I'm not scared" he kept saying until finally sleep won him over.

Meanwhile, Merida and Hiccup walked into the castle, Maudie quickly came rushing to see if Merida was okay, she was beside hiccup having her hands wrapped around him while he had his left hand wrapped around her shoulder. Her dress was filthy from the dirt as she ran out for angus then to hiccup.

"My Queen! Are yeu alright ?!"

Hiccup chuckled at her reaction

"She's alright Maudie, can you get her a new set of cloths-"

"And some for the King aswell" Merida said cutting him off.

"Yes your highness right away!" Maudie said as she took meridas cloak off and quickly went to do her tasks.

King? Hiccup smile as that word. He's always heard, Chief, Viking, but King? He never thought he would fit that role, especially when they called him a "Prince" prince's were always so formal and cleaned up nice and were so...fancy. That was one of the reasons he felt he wasn't good enough for Merida, but she always reminded him that she never wanted a 'Prince' she wanted some like him. And to her, he was a prince and now her King. And he loved her saying it, even though she hated her royal status, Queen Merida. Since they first married she hated it but then again she hated the word "princess" too but when it came to formalities with hiccup she loved it.

"Thank yeu Maudie" Merida replied.

She let go of hiccup to hold his hand.

He pulled her in the direction on the stairs and she pulled back telling him to wait. He was confused at her gesture.

"Do yeu want somethin' to eat or drink?"

She asked in a worried tone.

She was worried. But this time not for her son, but for her husband he didn't know but he looked more tired than she was, he needed a break. Merida has everyone taking care of her but no one took care of Hiccup, people tried and he would refuse. He felt that if he relaxed, he would lose time, but that wasn't why. It was because he felt guilty that he was living his life while his son wasn't. Valka knew this about her son and once she told Merida she knew she had to take care of her husband, only she could because with her he could never say no.

"Mer, I-" hiccup began but Merida cut him off.

"Please..." she said using her other hand to grab his arm to pull him closer as strokes her thumb on his hand.

He knew what she was doing. Trying to make him relax and take care of him.

He looked down then at her.

"Okay" he finally said.

Merida smiled at him and led him to the kitchen, no one was there but Merida didn't need any one to help her. She turned the fire on and put the water to boil for some tea. Hiccup saw this and smiled no wonder she fit in nicely with his tribe she was so independent.

"So would yeu want a pastry ? "

And as she turned around hiccup grabbed her by her wait and kissed her.

She was surprised but quickly melted into the kiss it was so passionate. Merida pulled him closer wrapping her arms around his neck as he pulled her waist closer to him. Hiccup pulled away to catch his breath and smiled as he looked at Meridas lips. He could feel how much Merida wanted him but he wanted her more. And he kissed her again.

"Mer..." he said in the kiss.

"Yes..?" She replied

"I need you..."

And with those words she intensified the kiss, it was the most vulnerable she had seen him in years. She ran her fingers through his hair while the other as around his neck.

"I'm right here." She said in the middle of the kiss.

And with that he picked her up sitting her on a near by table without breaking the kiss and then the passionate kiss became a gentle one. And finally hiccup broke it resting his head on meridas shoulder warping his strong arms around her waist breathing in her sweet smell. Her heart broke at this gesture but also loved that he was finally relaxing, She rested one of her arms in his shoulders laying her hand on his back, while she stroked his head with the other hand and resting her cheek in his head.

They stayed that way for a few minutes until hiccup pulled away a little to look up at merida and give her a small kiss.

"Let's get yeu some tea" she said.

He gave her a smile smile and moved aside for her to jump off and make his tea.

She put a tea cup in a tray with a few pastries along with a herbal plant to help him sleep through the night in peace and also relax without him knowing she hid it under the cloth beneath the small plate of pasties as she went to go to hiccup who was sitting in a chair running his hands through his hair as his elbows were on the table he then looked up at Merida.

"A tray? Why do we need that?" He asked confused.

She began to walk to the door finally feeling very in charge.

"Yer goin to take a long shower and then yeu can eat." She said as she pushed the door open gesturing him to follow her.

"Merida I'm fine" he told her but she ignored him.

But he followed.

They got to there room and Merida put the tray on hiccups side of the. Ight stand.

"Look I just need to change" hiccup kept insisting but Merida shot him a look of "No"

Hiccup holed his eyes and gave in.

"Fine I'll shower"

She gave him his cloths and a towel then gave him a kiss in the cheek. He gave her a mad look of annoyance.

"Can you also wash up too" he said before leaving.

"I will" she replied

She did as promised got out of her dirty night gown and put in the new one along with some new socks Maudie had left her they were both warm and soft, she smile at how Maudie would be so sweet to prepare it with such love. As soon as she got all cleaned up she added the sleepy relaxing herb to hiccups tea and mixed it well it disolved quickly before he got out.

As he got out of the shower Merida couldn't help but stare. He had decided to not wear his shirt and only his night wear pants and drying his hair with the towel she had gave him. He looked so attractive, maybe it was because she hadn't seen him in a while, it felt like it was the first time seeing him like this.

He looked slim but under all that armor he had some muscles, not too big and exaggerated but big enough to make him look perfect like he was sculpted to the right amount of handsome.

"What?" He said raising an eyebrow with a smirk.

Merida blush realizing that she was just staring then looked away.

"Um yeu should drink your tea before it gets cold..." she said trying to remove the awkwardness and embarrassment.

Hiccup laughed at her reaction and went to sit on the bed with her, facing her as she tried to avoid eye contact.

"Mer...you've seen me like this before...and even more" he said with a smirk.

Merida blushed brighter red and slightly pushed him telling him to stop.

Hiccup laugh and caught her arm before she pulled away and pressed on his chest she relax right when she touched him. Hiccup didn't lose his focus on her as she admired him, sliding her hand down to his six pack. It wasn't perfectly defined but you could see it was getting there.

Hiccup scooted closer to her leaving only a little bit of distance between them. Merida smile at the action.

Hiccup then leaned in to kiss her gently. He knew with Merida it was always patience and right timing. But now he didn't have to be so careful he could steal a kiss if he wanted to and she wouldn't get mad unless she was in a mood. But even though he knew he had permission from her to do anything, he wouldnt, he waited for to show approval first. Because he loved how she would ask for him because to Merida wanting and showing affection was hard But with him it was easier.

Hiccup finally pulled away, Merida smiled at him.

"Yeu should eat now." She said softly

He sighed with a frown on his face but he listened.

After his small meal he laid his head on the pillow staring at Merida who was right next to him. She stroked his hair as he slowly fell into a deep sleep. Merida smiled at this he looked so relaxed finally and peaceful it reminded her of Arkyn. He was small but his resemblance was exactly like hiccups. They're relaxed features looked so alike. And with that thought she felt sadness but quickly brushed it off and cuddled next to her husband putting his arm around her as she rested her head on his bare chest, dozing off herself.
