"Eret!" Hiccup yelled out as he came into the meeting room.

Eret turned around to face hiccup with a big smile once he heard him coming.

"Hiccup!" He repeated back as he gave him an approving nod as he saw his king attire. He wore a black leather vest that covered his chest with a long sleeve dark blue shirt underneath that was baggy but wrapped around his wrists tightly. While a small blue cloak rested on his right shoulder which was clipped on by his dragon crest to his left shoulder.

"Wow look at yeu your royal highness" He teased.

Hiccup laughed and shook his head.

Then went to pull him in with a side hug.

"How's everyone." Hiccup asked.

"Oh you know same old same old. Missing you deeply...chief" Eret replied.

Hiccup sighed.

"How are my parents?"

"There doing good, they actually send greetings for you and Merida... How is she by the way? I heard some commotion a minute ago."

"She's alright... just hurt her leg a little, that's all. Nothing too bad." Hiccup said crossing his arms with a pensive look.

"Yeu, alright there chief ?" Eret asked confused.

Hiccup then looked up at Eret and brought himself back into his senses.

"Oh, yeah, it's just...how are we doing on the troops?"

"That's exactly why I'm here. There on there way. They'll be here by morning"

"What?! How did-"

"Your father, Stoick. He didn't trust Scotland's allies to come through so he sent our troops early. To get Arkyn home as soon as possible."

"Hmm." Hiccup said looking away then back at Eret

"I didn't think they would come through either but they did." Hiccup said as he walked over to grab the scroll of the deal and handed it to eret.

As he went to lean against the table behind him and crossed his arms as Eret looked at the treaty.

"What's this?"

"I didn't say anything but...they wanted my son's title, to be removed as future Cheif of the hairy hooligan tribe."

"What?! They can't do that!! It's his BIRTHRIGHT! I'm sorry Hiccup but he will not be a highlander. He is a Viking whether they like it or not!" Eret exclaimed.

Hiccup looked at him with a sad look then at the floor.

"Yer his father for crying out loud. The Dragon king! Are they seriously de-throwning The Dragon Prince. That to me is a death wish!!" Eret said as he threw the scroll.

Hiccup looked at the direction eret threw the scroll and then at him.

"Well say something ! Did you go through with it?! Tell me you didn't." Eret exclaimed.

"It's Arkyns decision. No one's telling my son what title he should take. Not even me."

Eret was surprised at the response.

"So you didn't go through with it."

"No. I told them whether they did or not take his title, he will always be a Viking, just like me. And he will be there for his people. Both Scots and Viking."

"He'll be a great leader." Eret said with a sad smile.

" Yeah. And please don't tell my dad." Hiccup asked nicely.

"Don't worry, it won't be coming from me"

"Thanks...Now since we have to get up early to welcome our troops let get you settled in, it's late. I'll get one of the maids to get a room ready for you. And have toothless make room for skullcrusher."

"Great that sounds perfect." Eret said with a smile before he continued.

"Could you also show me more of this whole royalty thing too?"

Hiccup laughed and began to walk to the door.

--The next morning.--

Hiccup stood at the docks with Eret and his fellow vikings that came with him. He wore his King attire this time.

Merida was next to toothless behind them.

"Better get a speech ready." Eret told hiccup in a serious tone as both saw the boats getting closer.

"Already do." Hiccup said as he turned around to head over to Merida.

He had a worried look on his face and avoided looking at her but looked around.

Merida and toothless could both tell something was wrong.

"Yeu okay..?" She asked him as she reached to grab his hand.

He took a breathe but before he could speak he heard Eret behind him.

"Hiccup...we have a problem."

And as soon as he turned around it was as though the whole ocean was filled with boats. The other troops from the lords were just behind his Viking troops and hiccups worry turned into fear.

"Oh no." Merida said with the same fear in her eyes.

As they got closer they could hear the aguring between boats already and soon they would be here on land.

"Chief..." Eret ask waiting for hiccups command.

"Eret stay here with Merida. I'm going to need toothless for this." He finally said.

He then turned to Merida and said.

"Stay next to Eret till I get them settled down."

Merida nodded and took Erets arm to help her balance, trying not to use her bad leg as much. Hiccup hoped on toothless and flew above every boat to get there attention.

"Come on bud, let's get this under control" He told him and knew exactly what he meant.

Everyone was yelling at each other and drawing their swords and arrows but before they could do anything. Toothless landed on one of their Viking ships and roared as loud as he could it made the ocean beneath them tremble. And everyone suddenly stopped. Every Viking troops were now attentive to hiccup and put their weapons down as a sign of respect they knew the drill when Hiccup used toothless to catch there attention while the other troops from the lords looked at him in terror and worry, wondering if they should put there weapons down or keep them up. This was the first time they had seen who hiccup was.

"My father sent you all to help me, nothing more. I expect you all to stay true to that."

Hiccup yelled at the Viking troops.

"But chief ! How do you expect us to work with these highlanders!" A Viking spoke out.

"Yeah we don't need them, they'll just get in our way!!" Another spoke out.

"Yes we do! Like it or not we have to work together. I want peace amongst us both! I don't expect you to get along today, or tomorrow, that will take time, but I stand by both sides Queen Merida stands by both sides, and we need you ALL. MY SON NEEDS YOU ALL. BECAUSE. HES A VIKING AND A HIGHLANDER!! A beginning to a better future."

"Chiefs right. We will stand by you always!" A Viking yelled as he fist pumped up his sword.

"YEAH!!" All VIKINGS echoed.

"We can't deny the great King ye are turning out to be yer highness, we will also stand by yeu!!"

" I!!" Every highlander yelled.

Everyone was now roaring in agreement.

This made Hiccup smile as well as toothless that toothless shot up a beem of his charged purple fire that rippled in the air.

Merida had a big smile on her face seeing how was bringing them together.

"He's getting way better at this." Eret said in dis belief.

Merida let out a small laugh.

"I don't know where he gets it."

"Arkyn.." Eret replied.

Merida looked at him confused.

And Eret smiled at her and continued.

"The love for him is why he's gotten this good. Nothing is getting in the way of him finding him. And he's showing it, look"

Merida turned to look at Hiccup. Eret was right, Hiccup always felt like no one listened and he questioned his leader skills but this was a different hiccup, a more confident hiccup. The hiccup who stood up to every Viking for toothless. The one who walked into the enemies territory to ask for their daughters hand in marriage. The hiccup who's loves his son so much that he put himself in the middle of a "war" and stopped it. He was a champion and didn't know it.

"There's no better leader they could ask for." Eret said as looked over at hiccup as well.

"Hes still my hiccup though." Merida finally said making Eret laugh.

" That is true, he's still hiccup."

Back over at hiccup everyone finally stopped cheering and he was finally able to speak.

"Now let's get ready to head to Corona"

He said with a proud look. As he looked at every boat around him.
