Vox groaned when he came around, wondering where he was. The last thing he remembered was succumbing to his wounds against a dying tree. He knew he was good as dead the moment he got shot and accepted his fate, figuring he had done what he could…

But now that the moment had passed...He wondered where he was, as this place didn't resemble the Hell that he was familiar with. There were no red skies, no cities, no signs of civilization. Just empty grayness surrounding him with no sign of life.

He figured that now he was in 'Double Hell' as the demons down there would call it. No one really knew for certain what happened down there, but it was speculated that you were trapped in an endless void all by yourself. While he was aware of his surroundings, he wasn't certain how long he had been unconscious for and it didn't appear there was any way for time to be told in a world like this.

And when Vox stood up, he noticed that he was surrounded by nothing but empty space. He had no idea how long he had been 'unconscious' for but he figured time was meaningless in an area where you were surrounded by nothing but yourself…

He narrowed his eyes, now curious about the area he found himself in"Wondering this place is truly an endless void…"

He began walking forward...or at least,as forward as he could. No matter how far Vox walked, it felt like he wasn't progressing anywhere. It was still the same void, the same empty plane of existence.

The TV Demon scowled,'It's like this place never ends. Guess the speculation about this 'Double Hell' wasn't too far off from the real deal. Too bad I can't tell everyone how right they were….'

At this point, Vox was at a loss as to what to do. He was pretty much trapped here for all entirety as far as he was concerned. By now, he wasn't really concerned for himself, as he had already accepted his fate but rather of what he had left behind back in Hell, or more accurately, who he left behind…

His form slumped, now sighing in defeat,"Velvet...The Varks...Vol...even Charlie...I'll never be able to see them again now that I'm down here in this empty wasteland. Not like I don't deserve it, but I wish I could've at least said something to them before I perished. Oh well, nothing I can do...No use in fighting fate, not this time…"

Vox was prepared to give up and sit down, however as he was about to do so, he noticed something that caught his eye. Something that stood out in the grayscale, causing him to squint his eyes. At first, he didn't get what he was looking at but realized that from the figure, it was a person…

'What the fuck? Since when could other people enter this place?' He then tensed,'Fuck, I hope that doesn't mean Val can get here. Last thing I need is to be trapped in an endless pit with my vengeful ex who I killed without any weapons to protect me. Even if Val can't kill me again, he'll make me wish he would if he got his hands on me…'

Vox was somewhat weary when he saw the person in the distance, especially since he could tell they were getting closer and closer to him. He was scared at first, but as their appearance got clearer, his fear transformed into confusion within the span of seconds.

The person he was staring at wasn't Val at all(much to his relief). But rather, he resembled...Lucifer? He thought it was the King at first, but there were several noticeable differences that made him second guess himself.

For one, he was taller. Lucifer at best stood at Vox's chest. Vox was never the tallest overlord(that title went to Val as far as he knew) but Lucifer was always shorter than him. In fact, Lucifer was one of the shorter demons in the monarchy and the only person he was taller than of note was Velvet, who was legit a inch or two shorter than him.

This person on the other hand was quite literally Vox's height, if not slightly taller.

That, and the way he was dressed. He was wearing a white suit with gold cuffs with brown pants, a black bow tie and gold collar on his neck. The way he styled was different, having a large bang to that went to the right side of his head and a golden wreath crown on his head.

The way his eyes were shaped were also a dead giveaway. Lucifer always had a more menacing glare with yellow snake eyes and small black pupils, his eyebrows were sharp and thick. This person had white eyes that were round and beady, eyebrows thin and round.

The most defining difference between them was the lack of blush stickers on his cheeks that Charlie and Lucifer both possessed.

So yeah, if Vox hadn't looked he may have said he was Lucifer, but after some close inspection he realized that this was a completely different person. Still, he didn't know who this guy was and he didn't quite trust him being in his prison...

Suddenly, the person said,"I see you're quite fond of staring, aren't you, Vox?"

Vox blinked,'Holy shit, he almost sounds just like him…' The man's voice was a slightly softer and calmer version of Lucifer's voice. If Vox had his eyes closed and heard him speaking he would've assumed Lucifer was speaking at a softer range.

"Uhhhhh…" Vox trailed off,"I guess I am…"

"I suspect that I look very similar to a person you know, am I right?"

Vox nodded,"Yeah...You look like that asshole that I had suck up to in order not to get shanked…"

He chuckled,"I had a feeling you'd say something along those lines. Looks like my brother truly does rule his land by fear, doesn't he?"

"Brother?"

"What? Didn't you know that Lucifer had siblings? I thought that was well known information to your mortal souls…."

"Uh...was never really the religious type," Vox admitted, rubbing the back of his head,"Though from what I do remember, you guys aren't exactly on speaking terms…"

"Oh most definitely, Lucifer and I have not spoken face to face for...centuries I believe? Time is a construct to us deities but I do know it's been a while since we spoke to each other…"

"When was the last time you spoke to Lucifer?"

"When I sent him down to that awful pit that he calls home."

"Wait...are you…"

"Michael? The one and only…"

Vox was paralyzed for a moment, his mis-matched eyes widening. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Here he was, standing in front of Lucifer's brother, the one who had banished him to Hell all those years ago. It was a once in a lifetime experience and one that Vox was a bit upset he wouldn't be able to tell anyone about.

Vox then touched his sleeve, Michael giving him a confused glance,"Uh, what are you doing?"

"Checking if you're real…This feels like some hallucination and I wanna be sure you're not a figment of my imagination."

"Believe me, Vox, I am very REAL…" Michael replied before gently removing the TV Demon's hands from him, brushing off his suit.

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"It's fine," He said."I'm not going to attack you for touching me. Your confusion is understandable."

"So…" Vox mumbled, now eyeing the grayscale surroundings around them,"How exactly did you get here again? I thought this was like a separate plane of existence that no one could get to…"

"Divine individuals like myself can do almost anything if we put our minds to it…" Michael answered,"While it was never done before, I managed to find a way to get to this plane of existence to communicate to you."

"What for?" He asked,"I can't think of a reason that you'd want anything to do with me…"

"Well you see, my Father has been keeping an eye on you and he's instructed me to personally confront you. You see, he had a feeling that you would...perish in your quest and informed me ahead of time to visit you once you gained consciousness."

Vox blinked,"You came all this way to talk to me? What for? I'm already double-dead and I'm stuck in this 's the point in talking to me when I failed my ultimate goal?"

"Technically yes, you failed at apologizing to that fusion person, but you did other things that made God overlook that failure. Your actions may have been means to an end, but you managed to destroy your ex-boyfriend's empire and put an end to the reign of terror once and for all. For someone of your background, that is fairly impressive."

The TV Demon blinked, unprepared for this compliment,"Uh...thanks…" On the list of things he thought would happen in his life, being complimented by Lucifer's brother was not one of them."But even then, I still wanna know where exactly I am? Because I know this isn't Hell and I doubt it's Heaven…"

"You're correct, this is neither Heaven or Hell. While you sinners may call this plane of existence 'Double Hell', it is more or less a purgatory-like state."

"So why am I here again? Just to sit here and do nothing for the rest of eternity?"

"Well technically yes but no…" Michael corrected,"From what Father told me, souls that are killed again with holy weapons are sent to this empty plane of existence to lose themselves while the world goes on around them, trapped in enteral solitude. Eventually though, their souls are reincarnated and sent back to Earth with no memory of their old lives. It's basically a form of recycling now that I think about it."

Vox cringed,"Is that what I'm supposed to do down here? Just wait until I'm allowed to reincarnate without any memory of who I once was?"

"Well, that's your choice, but I came here to offer you an alternative, that is, if you're willing to hear me out."

"What kind of offer are we talking about?" Vox asked,"I mean, no offense, I don't wanna stay here and become a new person, but I'm kind of skeptical about what you're trying to offer me."

"Worry not, Vox. I understand your skepticism. But truly, you have nothing to fear. You are in good hands," The taller male smiled,"You see,Vox, you are in a rather unique position. Not only are you the first sinner who's ever seen me, but you're one of the first demons who have genuinely repented and attempted to make up for it. We have all been watching you for quite some time, though I must admit, while I was aware it would happen, I was kind of a bit upset you actually died. But I suppose that isn't all bad given it's given me the chance for us to meet."

"I guess," Vox muttered,"But still, what does any of that have to do with what you're offering?"

"I'm offering you a second chance at living as yourself."

He raised an eyebrow,"How? I'm literally already dead...double-dead even. There's no coming back from this."

The angel chuckled,"With divine power like mine, just about anything you'd view as impossible can happen."

"Then can't you just take me back to Hell? That doesn't sound too hard for a divine individual…"

"Well about that…"

"What? You mean you can't do that?"

"Not exactly…."

"And why not? I know you're not God, but you should be able to do something like this, right?"

"It's not that I can't do it. Normally I would, but the factors involved in this specific case prevent me from doing so…" Michael replied,"You see, Vox, only your soul exists here. Your physical body is still back in Hell. Due to the injuries you sustained, it would be impossible to put your soul back in your original body."

'He's right. I got shanked with holy bullets. My body is completely unusable.'Vox cursed,"Dammit. I had a feeling something like that would happen. So what do we do now?"

"Well I was thinking that since your original body is compromised, perhaps I could create a new body for your soul."

"Is there a catch to this?"

"Of sorts. There's just one problem, your soul is...demonic in nature and in order for me to put your soul in a new body I'd have to get rid of this wickedness so that the process would work."

"I'm well aware of my wickedness," Vox retorted,"I'm a sinner, no surprise there. But how exactly do you plan on getting rid of my 'demonic' nature again?"

"Father told me that purifying your soul should do the trick."

"Purifying?"

"As a sinner, your soul has been polluted with vice and impurity over the years. Putting your unholy soul in a holy vessel wouldn't end well."

Vox tensed,"Are you certain that's a good idea? That sounds...like it would hurt like hell.."

"I mean, it shouldn't," Michael stammered,"I've never done this before, but I do believe that it shouldn't be painful. Though I'm not too certain of the side effects to other parts of your person if we were to go through with this. You might lose something along the way. If you value yourself that highly, you're free to reject, but know that I'll have to leave you here if you do, as this is ultimately your decision."

The TV Demon blanked. Truthfully, he felt rather reluctant at the notion of giving up his current form. Vox had grown rather attached to his TV Form over the years and while the TV Head could become a nuisance at times, it was something he had to live with for decades and he got used to it.

There was that, and the fact that Michael himself had never done this purification thing before. While he didn't doubt Michael's abilities, the man said himself that there may be...unintended side effects of having his soul cleansed…

'Still...what the fuck do I have left to lose?' Vox looked around him, remembering where he was. If he rejected this deal, he'd be stuck in this room until he was eventually reincarnated with no memories of who he once was. If he chose to stay here, he'd never get the chance to see anyone again…

Vol...Velvet...Charlie...Everyone. He'd forget all about them and his entire mission would be rendered for naught.

Vox narrowed his eyes, looking down at his hands, clenching his fist. He then looked at Michael in the eye and said,"I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of scared. Neither of us are too certain what the effects of this soul purification will be on my soul, but I know I don't have a future if I stay here…"

"So you agree? Do you wish to continue with the arrangement as planned? You don't seem certain..." He said this while reading Vox's expression, noting his nervousness,"It's still your choice. You don't have to do anything…"

The TV Demon rubbed his shoulder, biting back his nervousness before closing in the gap between them in space, reluctantly reaching his hand out to the older male,"But I want to. I'm not giving up just yet, not when I still have things to fix.. Do we have a deal or do we not?"

The angel's smile widened into a confident smirk,"Looks like someone's changed their mind. I knew you'd see the light eventually. Wise choice, Vincent..."

Vox scoffed,"Get on with it, Michael…"

"Fine…Have it your way." He extended his hand outward and motioned for Vox to come closer. Vox closed in the distance between them and took his hand, grasping it tightly. A strange sensation took over when Vox noticed a magical aurora covered their hands.

Vox felt a tinge of fear in his stomach as the light became brighter and brighter,"Wait, what's happening-!?"

Vox was unable to respond when the light exploded right in his face, blinding him.

The illumination from the explosion caught him off guard completely, screaming as it felt like his body was being torn apart, his life flashing before his eyes. The pain was indescribable; it somehow felt worse than when Val shot him with holy bullets and it was like his mind was being ripped into bloody pieces with the surge of pain coursing through him.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Eventually, Vox lost consciousness, a bright light glowing around his body.

Michael blanked,"Oh...looks like I didn't account for the purification being painful...Well, it appears it worked. Though perhaps I should take him somewhere more...lively…"

A young man groaned, his head throbbing in pain,"Uuuggghhh...W-What happened to me?" He clutched his head in agony before looking around, his eyes widening at his surroundings…

The world around him was bright. The skies were blue, the ground...or rather clouds to be exact, were white and fluffy as can be. In front of him was a massive golden gate.

'Huh? What is this place? How did I get here?' He asked himself, not certain where he was. As he stood up, he looked at his skin. His complexion was a pale grey and his hair was now a platinum blonde color. He was wearing a white tuxedo with a light blue bow-tie and a silver-blue striped shirt. He narrowed his eyes at this, finding the clothes on him not to be his taste,'Strange...I don't remember choosing these clothes, in fact, I don't remember anything at all now that I think about it…' There was also a white halo over his head and a pair of wings on his back.

His light blue eyes widened when he heard someone shout,"Vincent, I'm so happy to see you're awake! The process was indeed a success!"

'What is this guy talking about? What process?'

He saw a male with pale skin approaching him. He stared at him with bewilderment, causing the man to ask,"Is something wrong, Vincent? The look you're giving me is worrying…."

Vincent pointed at himself,"I don't mean to be rude but...are you talking to me?"

He cocked an eyebrow,"Yes? Who else would I be talking to, Vincent? Did you forget your name after all this time, Vox?"

Vincent stared at him innocently as he scratched his head,"Who is Vox? That...that doesn't like a name to me and I don't recall being called such..."

'Oh no….' Michael immediately tensed, now realizing his mistake. He had purified Vox's soul...but he somehow deleted his memories in the process...

So in other words...

"Fuck..."

Thanks for 9,141 views! Tell me what you think below! If you wanna know why I described Micheal that way, its because the fanon design on the internet was the best I could find. If you wanna look it up, its the one where Val, Fanon God, Vox, Fanon Micheal, Alastor and Lucifer are standing near each other to compare heights.

Enigmus-288: Yeah, if Charlie did the video thing the first time she probably could've gotten him to soften up since he legit thought she was making it all up. He'd probably react the same way except he'd try even harder not to cry(Vol hates showing weakness in front of people and would prefer to cry in private as seen in the last chapter).

Mitsuru6: Yeah that took like forever. Vol is kind of stubborn just saying. Still felt bad writing that at the end cuz you know, he just lost it and started crying. and yeah, you could say that for what I'm doing now arc wise.
