Since the event at the other ballroom was ruined, Lilith had to use her mercy backup plan. Apparently she had a feeling someone would do something stupid and planned ahead of time for an early departure.
Thankfully, it wasn't too far, though before the ceremony could start, they had to tend to...other issues.
Vanny sighed as she rubbed alcohol on Vox's back. What was left of his wings were tiny bloodied nubs and while she managed to clean most of the blood off, there were still signs of dried blood. It didn't help that there were many cuts on his body, wincing as she rubbed a sensitive part of his back."Gngh…"
"You OK, Vox?"
He nodded,"Yeah. I'm fine…"
"Vox, you're the farthest thing from fine…"
"I've been through worse…" He grumbled,"Trust me, this is nothing. I felt more pain when Val smashed my face in. It's nothing I couldn't handle…"
"Vox, quit joking around. You look like utter shit. I don't get how you're even sitting up straight. You should be asleep to regain your strength."
"And miss the ceremony? Not a chance…" He chuckled,"I don't give a damn if my wings have been clipped from my body, I'm not missing out on a party…"
"Damn, your priorities are straight…"
"Did you just assume I'm straight?"
She rolled her eyes,"You know that's not what I meant, dammit."
"Relax, I'm just kidding...mostly…"
"Honestly, I expected that line out of Angel Dust, not you. Has that beatdown that asshole gave you knocked the common sense outta your head?"
He shrugged,"No, just trying to make light of the situation when I can…"
"So...do you think your wings are gonna heal?"
"They will, it'll just be a while before they fully grow up again. Bastard clipped the entire thing off so I'll be flightless for a while. Good thing I never really used my wings all too often, though it'll still be a bit annoying knowing I won't be able to fly on my own until they regenerate."
"Does it still hurt?"
"Eh, I've grown numb to the pain at this point. All the pain that I felt earlier kind of just mellowed it. It's still there, but the intensity has significantly dropped. It's nothing worth complaining about…"
"You sure? Because when I saw you getting beat, it looked like those hits would sting for quite a while…"
"My body has gotten used to getting injured by now, it's nothing new. The pain will eventually go away and I'll be back to normal sooner or later. Honestly, I got off rather lucky, all the injuries I sustained will regenerate in due time...I don't think I can say the same for Al and his eye…"
"You worried about him?"
"Van, he had his entire eye shot out. There's no recovering from that. If Al had been shot with a regular gun that'd be one thing but since it was a holy gun...the results are more severe. Micheal told me earlier that heavenly souls are basically immortal, we can't really die anymore, but we can get injured. Outside of having a 'divine' soul, we're basically like stronger sinners, the only difference is we can't die from holy weapons, but we can get severely maimed by them…"
"He's gonna be alright, right?"
Vox made a face as he put on the rest of his suit, Vanny helping to get his arm through,"I...I'm not sure. He may be alive, but I imagine lacking an eye is going to incapacitate him to some degree. He's lived his whole life and afterlife having two eyes so this is definitely going to be an issue for him in terms of depth perception."
She then placed a hand on his shoulder,"Want me to go check on him?"
"As long as I get to come along…"
"But Vol said-"
"He's not here to make me stay in bed, Vanny. We don't have to obey his orders while he's not around."
"But you know he'll get mad if he sees you up…"
"We'll deal with that later. Right now, we should just see how Al's doing." Vox then reached for the crutches at the side of the bed,"Alright, I think I'm ready…"
"Follow me…"
Vol's eyes lowered as he cleaned the dried blood off of Alastor's face, being gentle as possible. He cringed as he saw the gaping hole staring back at him, guilt eating him up on the inside.
He knew it wasn't his fault but it was hard to look at your 'Dad' in his remaining eye knowing that if you had been aware of the situation you could've prevented it from escalating this far.
"Are you alright, Al?"
Alastor nodded,"Quite. I'm rather peachy to be ?"
"You know why…" He growled,"It's getting irritating that you still continue to downplay what has happened. Acting as if everything is fine and dandy while your entire eye has been blown out of it's socket! I get you're trying to make me feel better but all you're doing is making me feel worse!"
"Vol...I'm not trying to do anything. I'm just trying to maintain a positive outlook despite the situation being less than stellar. Besides, there's no need to be upset, it's not like I can die! Losing an eye is hardly anything to losing a life!"
"That doesn't make it better," He averted his gaze, clenching his fist.
"Vol, are you OK?"
"No, I'm not OK. I haven't been OK for quite a while.I've been able to pretend I was alright, been able to pretend I wasn't mentally broken but now...I just don't know if I can do it anymore. Because every time I try to be strong, something happens where everyone's in danger and even when I do my best to protect everyone, somehow someone gets hurt and the damage is unable to be fixed…"
"Vol it's not that ba-"
"Oh be quiet!" He snapped,"We both know that's a lie! Look at yourself Al, half of your face is MISSING and you have the nerve to say 'it's not that bad!' Not that bad my ass, your eye has been torn from its' socket and you're trying to downplay the severity with nonsensical excuses. And I tire of them, I can't listen to another bullshit excuse about how it isn't that bad or how it could be worse! That doesn't make it better and I'm tired of pretending it does!"
"Volastor," Al started,"I get it. I know that you've been through a lot and seeing me like this probably isn't doing wonders for your mental state. But I assure you, it's going to be fine. And while my body has seen better days I'm certain that it'll...get better…"
"Al, you know that wound won't regenerate. It won't EVER get better. It's not physically possible, your eye is lost forever! If we don't do something, you're going to be stuck like this for the rest of your life!"
"I mean, I don't mind…"
Vol shot him a harsh glare in response.
"I mean, not that I don't mind, I just don't see why I can't accept my current circumstances. It's not like I can do anything about it anyway…"
Vol groaned,"Figured you'd say that. Always trying to be optimistic. How annoying…" He then pinched the bridge of his nose,"Look Al, I'm not in the best mood as of today so I'd appreciate it if you just went to bed and got some rest. We'll find a way to deal with this later…"
"But Vol, the ceremony is going to start soon, I'll miss it if I go to sleep…"
"So what?" He asked,"It's just a ceremony,it doesn't matter. Your health matters more than the celebration. You need to regain your strength and going out there is just going to put a strain on you…"
"But Vol-"
"Not but. You're straying in bed, Al. It's for your own good…"
"But I want to go. Please let me go, Vol…."
"I can't do that, Al. I'd love to let you go but you're in no condition to go anywhere at this point. It hasn't even been that long since you got shot and you can barely stand. You need your rest and it'd be irresponsible of me to allow you to go in your condition."
"Vol, I'm a grown man, let me make my own decisions. If I decide I want to go, I should be able to go. Now let me go…"
"Are you trying to make demands out of me?" Vol asked with a grin,"I'd think you'd know by now that trying to command me is a fruitless effort. Not only are you in no position to make any demands out of me and let's face it, you can't really do anything anyway. You can't even move on your own. You need a wheelchair to travel around without running into something due to your lack of depth perception. Even if you wanted to go, do you really think you can get past me?"
Alastor made a face, he was many things but a fool wasn't one of them. Vol was pretty much keeping him under lock and key, he couldn't physically do anything to him and even if he wasn't injured, Vol was far stronger than Al could ever hope to be.
This was the man who managed to take hits from Micheal and Lucifer and lived to tell the tale. Very few people could hurt Volastor and even in his angelic form, Al was still weaker than him by a large margin and words seemed to have little effect on his 'son'.
"Come on Al," He said soothingly,"Don't be like this. It's time you went to bed. The day wasn't merciful with you today and it's about time you've gained some well-deserved peace and quiet…"
Al sighed, Vol wasn't really giving him a choice. He was already stuck in bed and it was likely if he did try to stand up that Vol would just force him back into bed again. Best to make it appear he was sleeping so that Vol would get off his case…
He then closed his remaining eye and 'fell asleep'. Once Vol was certain that Al was resting, he decided to rest as well, kneeling down and resting on the side of the bed.
Vol only got to sleep for a few seconds before the sound of the door getting banged on interrupted his slumber. Eyes narrowed, he stood up and opened the door once he got over.
It was Vaggie. She was just standing there awkwardly and she didn't seem to expect to see him."Uh...Hey Volastor. Didn't see you there…"
"What do you want, Vaggie? I'm not in the mood for a talk and if you have something to tell me, can it wait until later? Because I'd prefer if I was left alone right about now…"
"I know, but I really do need to speak with Alastor…"
"You can't," He growled,"He's sleeping and he needs his rest. I don't want you disturbing him. He's already been through a lot and whatever you want to speak with him about can surely be held for another time…"
"But I really need to speak to him and-"
"If it's truly that dire than you can just say it to me so I can relay the information to Al in the morning."
"But that'll take too long!" She growled,"Come on, just let me through! This is important!"
"I'm afraid I cannot let you do that. Please take your leave, Vaggie. I'm certain you have other places to be and it'd be better for the both of us if you left…"
Vaggie then attempted to force her way in. Without blinking Vol put up a shield and said in a threatening tone,"Another step and I'll be forced to take you out of the premises. Don't push me, Vaggie. I don't want to hurt you but if you keep persisting I'll have no choice but to force you out."
"Oh my god, are you seriously being this protective?"
"You're one to talk…" He retorted,"I do not want lectures from you of all people about being 'protective' over my loved ones. If you were in my position I doubt you'd act too differently from how I'm acting…"
"Even then, does it mean you have to be on the defensive? I just want to talk to Alastor, I'm not going to hurt him or anything…"
"How can I be sure?"
"Oh for fuck's sake, we both know if I tried hurting Al that you'd lose your shit and kill me instantly before I could even lift a finger. I'm many things, but I'm not suicidal enough to piss off the walking god-like being because I don't like his 'Dad'."
Vol still looked skeptical,"Even if I take it you're not going to hurt him, what reason do you have to be here? I'd think you'd be with Charlie by now…"
"I was...but I felt like I had to get this off my chest before the ceremony started. I just need to get it out so I can feel at peace. Now will you step aside so I can get in or what?"
"Fine…" He reluctantly allowed Vaggie inside, eyes still firmly glued to her on the off-chance she did try anything.
Taking her chance, Vaggie made her way inside and approached the bedside. She sighed as she looked over at Al before twisting her lip."Hey Al, I don't know if you can hear me but if you are I just wanna say...Thanks for saving my ass back there. I would've died if you didn't just in front of me. I know we're not friends or anything, I just want you to know I appreciate it."
Al then opened his one working eye,"Thanks…"
"Holy shit!"She jumped up,"No offense, but you kind of scared the hell out of me..."
"It's alright. I know my face doesn't look all too great. I can't really blame anyone for being scared. It's understandable. I don't exactly look all too great, I've seen better days…"
"Are you done yet?" Vol asked,"Because no offense, but I know that ceremony is starting soon and I doubt you'd want to miss your girlfriend's coronation."
"I know but I at least wanted to visit Al, especially since I know he probably wants to go as well…"
"He can't," Vol growled,"He's not allowed."
"Why not?"
"Have you looked at him? Vaggie, he can't even walk on his own. I have to wheel him around so his lack of depth perception doesn't cause him to crash into the nearest object. He's in no condition to attend a party…"
"Volastor, come on, let Al go. He's not that fragile. Just wheel him in…"
"With a gaping hole in his eye? Are you insane? He's in no condition to go out like that! He just had his entire eye shot out and you think he's in a state to go out to a celebration that's going to be viewed by countless people?"
"We can cover it up!"
"With what? A bandage? This isn't like a cut or small wound, his entire eye is missing! It's noticeable and there's no way nobody isn't going to pick up on it. He needs to rest anyway! Missing a celebration is hardly that big of a deal compared to the loss of your eye!"
"I know it's a big deal, but you can't just keep him here all day! Let him go dammit, he doesn't need your protection! It's safe out and he doesn't need to be protected all the time!"
"I'm done taking chances, Vaggie. I understand what you mean, but I'm sick and tired of taking my eyes off my loved ones only for them to be attacked while I'm away. I'm done dealing with it and I just want some peace and quiet."
Alastor tensed, it looked like Vol and Vaggie were about to tear each other apart."Guys, there's no need to argue, we can talk about this like adults and-"
"Quiet," Vol hissed,"Just be quiet and let me handle this because it's obvious SOMEONE doesn't understand why I have to be this way…"
"What is going on over here? What's with all the yelling?"
Everyone turned to see Vanny standing there with Vox using his crutches to follow her inside. Vol immediately scowled at this, giving the doll demon a glare,"Vanny, what did I tell you about letting Vox walk around!? He's supposed to be resting dammit!"
"I didn't let him do anything, he made the choice to follow me," She informed,"And it's not like he's made of glass either. Sure his wings are gone, but just because he needs crutches doesn't mean he can't handle himself. He only tripped five times instead of eight! It's a major improvement!"
"That's still not good!" He growled,"Ugh! I can't believe you people! Why is it when I try to keep you safe you ignore my advice!? Do you like making me suffer or something? Is it amusing seeing me get angry!?"
Vox blinked,"What? No. I just felt like moving, Vol…I'm not trying to hurt you, I just want to move on my own…"
"You can barely do that, it's absurd you're still trying to walk in your condition. You're just going to get yourself hurt. Why are you even here? Don't tell me you're trying to attend that celebration are you?"
"Well-"
"Vox! You know you're not allowed to go!"
"But I want to! And I want Al to come too! It won't feel right without him!"
"Have you seen him!? Look at him Vox, he can't even walk straight, he needs to be wheeled around so he doesn't hurt himself! You expect me to take him to a public area where he'll get jeered at for his appearance and his lack of ability to move around on his own? You've lost your damn mind!" He then groaned,"Look, I'm rather irritable today so why don't you all do me a favor and go to where you're supposed to be. It'd save us so much time…"
Vanny frowned,"Not until you let them go to the party."
He shook his head,"I'm not budging on this, no matter how hard you try. Now, take Vox back to his room. And as for you, Vaggie, why don't you go to Charlie? She probably needs you more than we do…"
"No…" The moth said,"I'm not leaving either. You can't just force Vox and Al to stay in their rooms all day. You have to let them leave."
"I just said no. You can't make me change my mind…"
Vaggie clenched her fist, it was like talking to a brick wall. As much as she wanted to just put Al in his wheelchair and roll him out, she knew Vol would stop her. About the only thing she could think of was somehow appeasing Vol so he'd back off, though she wasn't too certain how to do that…
Only for an idea to pop into her head. She then reached into the pocket of her dress and pulled out an extra eye-patch she had in case she ever lost the one she was currently wearing. It was like the one she usually wore, the only difference was that the 'X' was a dark red instead of pink and it had a more brownish color instead of gray.
She never thought of using it mainly because she kept her eye-patch on even when she slept. It was mainly because she lost her eye long before she got to Hell and she didn't have the money to get an artificial one. And since she clearly wouldn't use it, why not give it to someone in need?
It wasn't anything too special but it was big enough to at least cover the gaping hole in Al's eye.
"What about this?" She asked,"If All goes out like this, nobody will think anything is out of the ordinary. He'll be able to blend right on in…"
"Does it even fit?"
"It should…" Vaggie reached out and put the eye-patch on Alastor herself. It took a few adjustments but she managed to make it fit.
Al blinked,"How do I look?"
"Great!" Vanny exclaimed,"You look good as new! If I didn't' know any better I'd think you just had some sort of decoration over your eye. Nobody will be able to tell the difference!"
"So Vol...can he and Vox go? They're basically good as new for the most part..."
Vol made a face, he really didn't want to let them go regardless but everyone was kind of giving him a look. Sighing, he reluctantly gave in,"Alright fine, they can go…"
"Yay!"
"As long I'm there of course…"
Everyone rolled their eyes(or eye in Vaggie and Alastor's case), they had a feeling Vol would add an extra incentive at the last second. It would be too easy to just let them waltz free without some sort of consequence.
"Seriously Vol? We don't need you watching over us…" Vox admitted,"Just because we need equipment to get around doesn't mean we can't handle ourselves. Besides, Lilith and Charlie are there so I doubt anyone is going to try anything this time…"
"Still, I want to be there for you two. I don't like letting you out of my sight for long periods of time…"
"But-"
"Please...just let me do this for you. I'll feel safer if I have you two in my line of sight…"
Vox and Al flinched, the exhaustion in Vol's eyes was becoming prevalent. He looked beyond exhausted, as if he had been drained from not only the day, but everything that had come before. All the hardships in his life must've taken a toll on his mental state because any enthusiasm Vol had in his life had since been sapped anyway.
For his sake, they decided to agree to his terms.
"Fine then," Al said,"Have it your way Vol. We should get going…"
They placed Al in his wheelchair before heading out the door to join the others.
At the party, there were loads of high ranking demons present. All the Deadly Sins, Goetic Demons and several overlords were around for the celebration. Lilith herself was sipping a glass of wine near the punch bowl; it wouldn't be long before Charlie got officially crowned and she was just trying to enjoy herself while she still could.
It was a bit hard to enjoy yourself when you were lonely. As flawed her as her husband was, he did at least provide good company and now that he wasn't there she was beside herself. While Bethesda and Fredrick tried to be good pals, she had to take a break and distance herself. She wasn't in the best of moods and while they did try and help, it wasn't the help she needed.
Still, one thing stuck with her was Bethesda asking if they were divorced and Lilith didn't really respond. She had excused herself but otherwise, said nothing.
'Are we?' To be frank, they may as well have been divorced. They hadn't spoken to each other in over a year and Lilith found herself so disappointed in him for driving Charlie away that she couldn't look at him. They hadn't signed the papers to officially call it quits but it was evident they were not as close as they were before..
The only thing that prevented her from saving them was because she really didn't want to fully give up on their relationship. They had been together so long she couldn't really imagine herself being with anyone else.
As of now, she is kind of just hoping that eventually, he will reach out and try to repair the relationship. It would probably be a long while before that came due to him being mutual rulers with Micheal but she figured they'd try and find a way to visit each other while still ruling their proper realms.
She didn't know when that time would come, but she hoped it would be before the end of the century. She could wait for him...but she would prefer it if it came sooner rather than later.
As she was sipping her drink she caught Asmodeus approaching out of the corner of her eye,'Oh god, not him again…' She sighed, already having a good guess as to why he was there."What do you want with me, Asmodeus? I'm rather short on time so I expect you to make this quick…"
"Oh nothing your majesty, just came to check on how you were doing. You looked awfully lonely over here and I thought you needed a friend to drop on by."
"No need, I'm perfectly content to be by myself…" She said apathetically, looking irritated when she noticed his hand slithering around her waist,"You're a little close don't you think?"
"Nah, perfect distance. It's been a while since we've been around each other, Lilith and yet your beauty remains."
"Thanks, I've heard that one at least a hundred times. No need to rub it in, I'm well aware of how beautiful I am."
"Aw, don't be so cold my lady, I get you're upset your husband retreated back to Heaven but there's no need to be so hostile."
"Look, Asmodeus, I'm not in the mood for this. Now tell me, what do you want because I'm tired of your presence…"
"Oh I was just wondering, don't you think maybe we could get a little closer? I know you didn't officially see you divorced but I've heard that you two haven't been on speaking terms for a while so why not try accepting a new man into your life? My mansion has been awfully lonely and I've grown rather bored. I could use some company."
"Not interested," She replied,"I get what you're trying to do. It's not going to work. Your silver tongue may work on your little maids but I'm immune to your charms. I've seen every trick in the book, you can't fool me. I get your trying to weasel your way to the top but could you make it less obvious?"
"Even if I was, I still would prefer some new company. And it's not your husband who is here to stop you, he's all the way up in the clouds and I don't think the other angels are planning on letting him go anytime soon…"
Lilith narrowed her eyes before saying,"Here's what I think of your proposal." She tossed her drink on him and smiled,"Whoops. Looks like that'll leave a stain. Hope that wasn't one of your favorites suits because that won't be coming out. Now listen here and listen close," She grabbed his collar,"One, you're not my type. Second of all, even if you were my type, I'd sooner fuck every man in this entire pit before I go over to you. And it's not because of your looks, but rather that nasty personality of yours. Don't think you're slick, you've been trying to get into our pants for years and I'm done with your attitude. Now go away before I make you regret ever being born…"
He quickly ran away in response, muttering curses under his breath. Once he was gone, Lilith sighed in relief,"About time that bastard left. Don't think he'll be bothering anyone for a long time. Still, I should go check on Charlie. It won't be long before we go live."
As she headed off to check on her daughter, Vol and the others were hanging with the other Hazbins.
"So…" Sir Penitous started,"Is there a lack of depth perception for you, Alastor? Because I imagine losing an eye would be a bit problematic…"
"Oh most definitely," Al assured,"My perception of everything is a bit wonky. I'm not used to only using one eye to see. It's a bit of a struggle but it's not impossible. Honestly I'm more annoyed that I have to wheeled around if anything since Vol doesn't trust me walking on my own." By now, he had switched back to wearing a monocle because there wasn't any point using glasses if you only had one eye. It was much easier to function that way.
Velvet then paused,"What about you, Vox? How's it like being on crutches?"
"Eh, it could be worse. It's a bit annoying walking around with these stupid crutches but I've been through much worse at this point. I'd probably be more bothered if everyone could see it but outside our group, nobody really knows about me so they don't know about my wings. All the people in Hell see is a guy with crutches."
"Yeah, you're lucky, at least your wings will grow back. My eye is gone forever and I have to live with this cloth over my eye to prevent people from freaking out. At least Vaggie decided to be nice and lend me an extra she had on her…"
"It was the least I could do. You saved my life and I felt like I had to at least give you something…"
"I'm grateful, else I'd never be able to be out in public had you not handed it to me. Though I have to admit I feel a bit old being in a wheelchair. Doesn't feel right…"
"At least you have someone who wants to pull you around,"Husk said,"I hated pulling my old man around in his chair since he was an ass. Though you won't be having that sort of problem given Vol adores you."
"I suppose that's what makes it tolerable," Al said,"I hope I'm not being a burden like this. You don't have to wheel me around, I can do it myself…"
"You're not," He assured,"It's my responsibility to keep you safe and I'd rather wheel you around than leave you by yourself…"
"Aw…Vol, you're such a sweetheart…" Velvet cooed,"That's so cute! Guys, isn't Vol just the cutest boyfriend ever? He's so precious!"
Vol groaned,"Velvet, please stop. It's embarrassing."
"Hey, she's right," Vox chuckled,"There's no need to get all flustered at being all soft around doesn't hurt to admit you got attached to us. It's fairly obvious that you are."
He blushed,"Oh shut up…"
Vanny then turned,"Hey guys! I think the ceremony is about to start!"
Everyone turned their attention to the front stage, everyone waiting in anticipation. On stage, Lilith went up with a microphone,"Good evening everyone, it is I, Lilith Magne. Today, we've all gathered here for an important occasion. My daughter's very own coronation. I know others may be wondering the specifics of how this occurred, however this information is too personal for me to share with you. All I'll say is there have been a few...falling outs and in order to ensure things are run smoothly, Charlie will be rising to the throne. With that said, I do believe it's time we start…"
Moments later, Charlie walked up on stage herself in her black-red ball gown, now wearing a robe with her hands clasped together. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail and her dress was shoulderless with poofy sleeves and black high heels.
As she made her way to the front, Lilith had motioned a servant forward with a crown in hand. Charlie knelt down and allowed the crown to be placed before standing back up again.
She then gazed through the crowd, gazes of judgment being made. Most demons seemed apprehensive, some were jealous and others were angry. The only ones who looked even somewhat encouraging were her allies she made way back when.
Narrowing her eyes, Charlie then raised her voice,"I know everyone here thinks that I'm not fit to rule, that I'm just a dumb little princess with her head stuck in the clouds. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm not dumb and I am FAR more powerful than any of you realize. Just because I'm nice doesn't mean I can't KICK YOUR ASSES! If I wasn't as nice as I was, I'd KILL everyone here without batting an eye. So in a way, you should count yourselves lucky, because if I was as evil as I was supposed to be...I don't think a lot of you would be here."
Nobody moved, all the audience members fell silent at the not-so-subtle threat that had been laid out to them.
"Regardless, I'll have it known that they will be tolerant of harming my family. Anyone who does will be severely punished and there are many things worse than death down here. Hopefully it doesn't have to come out, but if you push me….you'll wish you were dead when I'm done with you. But enough of that, that's not what any of us are here for," She said before summoning a pitchfork in her hands,"I am Charlotte Magne, Queen of All Hell! This is my destiny and I've waited eons to escape my father's shadow! And after all these grueling years of being the subject of mockery, I've at long last been given my due! It's time to enter a new era, one where improvement shall be made! Not only is Redemption possible, but self improvement as a whole! The world is changing and it's time to adapt to the world or get left behind. Make your choice…"
There was a brief moment of pause before a shot was heard,"LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!"
"ALL HAIL QUEEN CHARLIE!"
"PRAISE THE QUEEN!"
Cheers were heard as everyone began to applaud Charlie on stage. Charlie lifted her pitchfork into the air, lighting it on fire with a smile.
The praise that Charlie had been waiting for had finally come. She had finally seen the rainbow at the end of the storm and she couldn't have been happier…
'Long live me...'

Enigmus-288L Yeah, I meant that they couldn't die but I should've clarified that Micheal was taking about angels like himself(since I imagine that they're like a different species compared to the regular angels. God creating them directly means they basically just take anything and get right back up again. It'll hurt like a bitch, but they'll regenerate.. Vox and Al basically are like sinners but they can't die, just get maimed/fucked up by holy weapons. They can't die, but it HURTS LIKE A BITCH and it won't regenerate.
