'Thought words' – Humans/Faunas/Etc
Thought words – Grimm

Quick author notes;
I spent a couple hours researching various lore and mechanics. RWBY is a hot mess at times, and reading shit loads of fanfiction is not helping in the slightest. For instance, I thought aura could be unlocked via a high-stress situation. Apparently not, as far as I can tell. Also, apparently most huntsmen have unlocked their semblance. Bullshit.
I'm gonna be home-brewing some stuff later on, so keep that in mind if any inconsistencies or plot hole pop up.
Chapter 8
Voice had explained the plan to The Grimm, it has no idea what most of it meant. In other news, those dirt-humans that Voice was making are a lot tougher now. The Grimm has several of them speared on it's back spikes. This greatly amused Voice.
'Yea, pretty cool,*snicker*, but why?'
This is tougher to answer then The Grimm expected. Status and example come to mind first – again though, the dolls' resemblance to Humans is dubious at best. But there is another reason, another emotion that The Grimm can feel budding. Not hatred, not rage – those are reserved almost exclusively for Humans, as they should be. Definitely not competitiveness or excitement – the dolls are harmless.
Answer, dubious, fondness
The voice pauses their magic at The Grimm's response. Considerable progress has been made, there are several "handholds" jutting out from the dirt wall now. They can just barely handle The Grimm's weight, if it supports itself on multiple at once.
'Oh… I didn't realise grimm could experience emotions like that. Good for you Mr. Grimm, looks like some of my emotions are rubbing off on you. Here's hoping you won't catch any insanity or depression, which I may or may not be developing. *quiet laughter* Fuck my life.'
Voice seems to find this new emotion a good thing. Fondness. The Grimm can't remember actually liking anything before…
The Grimm's introspection is interrupted by an excited calling of 'Let's get the fuck outta here!'
The Grimm focuses on where Voice has been magicing. A wall lined with spaced-out footholds – all the way to the top.
It's with careful movements that The Grimm ascends it's centuries long prison.
Finally, it can bask in the freedom of the open world. Trees, animals, a tiny human.
Wait, a tiny wha-
'Go fuck yourself! Of course it took ages with your bullshit skill system! And what the fuck classifies this as a "hidden quest"?!'
No, go back to the tiny Human – aaaaaand it's gone. Well, not gone, it's running away. Leaving a heavy trail of fear and terror as well. The Grimm could probably catch it in mere seconds…
Nah, it has freedom to enjoy first.
And with that The Grimm settles under a tree to enjoy a day in the shade. Wow, Voice is really mad. It should be enjoying freedom. Eh, it just probably needs a minute to calm down like always.
We finally did it! Thank you God! Thank you system! It feels like I've been looking at dirt for weeks. Nature is truly beautiful.

Indescribable rage. A level of rage that I hadn't thought possible till right this moment.
'Go fuck yourself! Of course it took ages with your bullshit skill system! And what the fuck classifies this as a "hidden quest"?!'
I've put up with so much shit, this is just crossing the line.
'And nice bonus objectives, way to rub salt in the wound! Do you enjoy mocking me system? Do you get off to seeing me struggle against what would be simple things If I had a working, normal, non-sentient-sadist of a system?!'
→[Quest]s are dynamic and update according to real-time* events. Due to [Escape the hole] being a beginner [Quest], objectives were added to insure [Player] would receive an early-game boost.←
→[Quest]s were explained, in detail, in the [Tutorial]!
'Mr. Grimm, I need you to perform some deforestation in my stead.'
Refusal. Resting.
→1 [Stat point] has been added to [Wisdom]!
Everything is against me. My life is hell and the system is my personal demon. Mr. Grimm is just a dick. If the world is against me, then I'll just bend the world to my will!

In front of the dozing Grimm, a ball of dirt is ripped from the ground and shifts into a human-ish form before falling back down to the ground. There now stands doll taken human-form. With a final push of mana-

Truly, The Grimm missed freedom. If it ever gets trapped again, it'll have to ask Voice to kill it. But not really… is this what Voice calls a "metaphor"? How misleading. A confusion tactic perhaps? Seems plausible.
Thud
The Grimm opens an eye to see one of Voice's dolls. It walks next to The Grimm and punches the tree with all the might of a 30 centimetre tall dirt-human. Odd.
Question, status
After a few seconds, all The Grimm gets in reply is a muttered 'Fuck off'.

FINAL AUTHOR'S NOTE;
I really did put a few hours research into RWBY.
Did you know "Anima" is Latin for "Soul"? Holy shit, what a lucky coincidence.
Also in chapter1,I had written that Mr. Grimm fell into the hole while chasing a child, and in this chapter I presented a similar scenario – a child standing across the hole. I didn't even plan that. I'm a lucky son of a bitch apparently because these are just falling into my lap.
