Chapter 8: Origins Of Ridley Farcus

"This... this is insane!" Ann exclaimed in shock as Ron finished his long story about what he had just experienced in his own mind.

"Apollyon," Wade murmured softly. "If that's really who it was speaking to you, this may be far more serious than I thought".

"I have no doubt that's who he was," Ron said confidently. "Only a true demon could create something as evil as the Red Rage and Yono".

"That whole story he told you... about that ninja named Kiro," Kim paused fearfully. "Ron, are you sure you have control over yourself now? Is... is Apollyon gone?".

"No, he's definitely still in my mind. I can feel his presence deep inside me, but I've managed to shut him out for now," Ron replied, shaking his head. "I have a feeling I won't be seeing the last of him though. Apollyon's been manipulating my mind ever since I first tapped into the Red Rage back in the abandoned train yards several days ago, and I'm pretty sure he's behind the zombie illusion in Japan as well".

"So scary" Rufus said, remembering how badly Ron lost his mind.

"This seems far more serious than it seems, Kim," Ann said fearfully. "If everything Ron said is true, then we'd best keep a closer eye on him. If he loses control of this Red Rage again, he could place this entire hospital in danger".

"You don't have to worry, Ms. Possible," Ron assured her. "I've got it under control now".

"That doesn't mean your safe forever," Kim cut in. "What if the Red Rage tries taking control of you again? You may have shut Apollyon out of your mind, but that dark energy source he created is still inside of you. Its like you told us; Apollyon said that anyone with Mystical Monkey Powers that taps into the Red Rage will be bound to it forever, no matter how hard they try to hold it back or ignore it".

"I know what he said, Kim," Ron replied harshly. "And I can't deny that being a possibility, so I need to find a way to maybe learn to control it, or at least find a way to prevent the Red Rage from taking control of my mind again".

"But how?" Wade asked him.

"I don't know yet," Ron said in a tone of defeat. "Master Sensei and Yori are dead... so I don't know how to do it".

"That may pose a problem then," Kim said. "If you don't find a way to control this dark energy force inside you, then...".

She paused, not wanting to know what the horrifying result would be if Ron lost all control over the Red Rage. Rufus also remembered his nightmare where Ron had destroyed a city and killed dozens of people, then wondered if maybe that might have been a vision of what was yet to come. Ann and Wade also looked just as worried as Kim was, fearing what Ron might become if he lost all control.

"I'll figure something out, Kim. I always do" Ron said, smiling with confidence.

"I hope you do," Kim replied. "When Wade told me about everything that happened in Japan, I was beyond worried".

"I... I know," Ron said sadly. "You were right, Kim. Yori wasn't there... no one was. It was all just burned ground, ashes, rubble, and human skeletons".

Everyone looked visibly shocked and saddened by this. They couldn't imagine what Ron must have gone through over there.

"Don't think about that now," Ann said. "It'll just stress you out even more... and it may make you lose control again".

Ron had to agree with Ann. If he allowed his negative emotions to grow too strong, Ron feared that the Red Rage may take control of him again. He wouldn't let that happen. Ron promised Apollyon that he'd prove his mind was stronger than he thought, and he couldn't do that if he just wallowed in sorrow and grief from the loss of Master Sensei and Yori.

"Your right, Ann," Ron nodded. "I gotta move on from this. It's what Sensei and Yori would've wanted me to do".

Ann smiled proudly at Ron.

"That's the spirit," she said. "Other than the wound on your chest, you should be good to go".

"That's a relief," Ron said. then turned to Wade. "Did you find anything on the Dark Web regarding the case Dr. Director gave us?".

"Oh yeah, about that," Wade paused briefly. "I did a lot of digging around, but didn't find much. However, I did find something pretty messed up regarding it".

"And what was it?" Ron asked curiously.

"It was what appeared to be records of Ridley's criminal history and a file containing information regarding his family, but I don't think I could actually call them a family given how sinister and evil they were" Wade answered, sounding slightly disturbed.

"Finally," Ron said in relief. "Now we're getting somewhere. Mind if I check it out?".

"Well, you can, but just a bit of a warning. Kim and Betty Director already saw it all, and it's incredibly messed up and disturbing" Wade warned him.

"Its true, Ron," Kim added. "I actually couldn't finish most of it due to how sick it was, but Dr. Director told me the rest. Wade can send it to you on your laptop back at your place, and also on the Kimmunicator".

"I think I can handle it," Ron assured them. "Can't be any worse than what happened in Japan".

A male nurse suddenly stuck his head into the room, calling for Ann. She glanced back at him to hear what he had to say, then turned back to Kim, Wade, Ron, and Rufus.

"Well, I gotta head over to the surgery room now. They just brought someone in who was driving drunk and hit a parked truck, and from what the nurse said, it isn't gonna be pretty" Ann informed them grimly.

"Oh boy," Wade said. "Well, we won't keep you waiting".

"Well then," Ann replied, opening the door. "I'd best be off now".

Ann then quickly rushed out the door and closed it behind her, leaving Ron, Kim, Wade, and Rufus alone.

"So Wade, think you can send me what you found to my Kimmunicator and laptop?" Ron asked.

"I actually did that already," Wade replied. "It should be there waiting for you".

"Ah, good," Ron replied. "I'll be sure to read all of it once we leave the hospital".

...

...

Ron sat on his bed with his laptop open and reading the evidence Wade had found on the Dark Web regarding Ridley, and it was truly as disturbing as Wade had said. It had been about an hour since Ron checked out of the hospital, and he had learned tons of things about Ridley since then. The first set of files he had received were police records of Ridley's criminal history, and Ron could hardly believe how long Ridley's rap sheet actually was. He had committed over at least over a hundred crimes since he was thirteen years old, and they were not just petty crimes like robbing gas stations or breaking into random houses. Ridley had committed countless hideous acts of murder, rape, torture, sexual assault, and to Ron's horror, about twelve counts of infanticide as well. Ridley was also charged in the past for drug trafficking, human trafficking, and even distributing child pornography. This wasn't the worst part though; it was the second set of files Ron read that he found even more horrible, but slightly saddening at the same time. The files were from a mental hospital for the criminally insane documenting a review that one of the doctors had with Ridley about nine years ago, and it was basically a story of his past as a child, and it was probably the most horrifying and messed up story Ron had ever read in his life. From what he gathered reading it, Ridley's father and mother had not actually been married to each other, no. Ridley's mother, Sarah Farcus, had been abducted by an extremely dangerous, bloodthirsty biker gang boss named Gerald Farcus when she was only fifteen years old and held as a prisoner in his home. There, she was kept chained up in the basement as his personal sex slave and forced to either submit to Gerald's will, or face a slow and agonizing death.

From what Ridley described to the doctor from the story his evil father had told him, escape was next to absolutely impossible. Gerald's mansion had armed guards all around the property, advanced security cameras in every single room of the house, including the bathrooms. There were also cameras on the outside of the house as well as motion sensor alarms on every door and window of the house that would trigger an alarm if someone tampered with them. This made escape pretty much impossible for Sarah, as Gerald had warned her that if she tried escaping even once or if she disobeyed an order from him or his men even once, Gerald would punish her in ways not seen since the dark ages. In addition to that, Gerald stated that he would have his gang systematically murder her entire family, including her relatives and whatever friends she had if she so much as even dared to resist him or escape. What was even worse was that Gerald and his gang even had the police working for him, which was why his crimes had gone unpunished for so long, and it also meant Sarah would have no chance at freedom. The police could simply track her and her family down, kill Sarah's family, and bring her back to her captors, or possibly have them framed for crimes they didn't commit which would result in other worse possible fates. For almost a whole year, Gerald and his men did some of the worst things imaginable to the poor girl, and Ridley seemed to have a thing for going into extreme graphic details, because what Ron read made him almost physically sick. Gerald would violate Ridley's mother almost everyday, and he'd always have a gun trained on her to ensure she didn't resist, but that wasn't even the worst of it. If Sarah failed to "service" him exactly the way he wanted, he'd have his men torture her with various torture weapons until she submitted to their will. Eventually, Sarah was tortured so badly to such an extent that she eventually lost all hope and fully gave in to the demands of her captors to save her family and her own life. Ron felt a deep sense of sorrow for this young woman and couldn't even begin to imagine what she had gone through while locked up in that hell hole of a prison.

However, the worst part was yet to come. About four months into her captivity, Sarah eventually got pregnant with Gerald's child due to being constantly violated almost non-stop, and this child was none other than Ridley Farcus. At some point after finding out she was pregnant, Sarah managed to get out of her chains and escape after a power outage occurred from a heavy rainstorm. Since it was nightfall, Sarah managed to sneak past the guards and attempted to find help. She eventually found a cop car patrolling an area of road near a gas station and begged them for help. The officers listened to Sarah's story and promised to take her home, but what she didn't know what that she had walked into a trap, and she didn't know it until the two of them pulled their guns on her and forced Sarah into the cop car. They then revealed to Sarah that they were proud members of Gerald's gang, and were also very angry that she dared to escape from him. The second cop then drugged Sarah and took her back to Gerald's mansion where he later punished her in the most brutal way imaginable. Gerald and his gang chained her to a metal board and hacked off both her legs with a chainsaw to ensure she never ran away from them again, but that wasn't the tip of the iceberg. Later on, Gerald had returned to the basement of his mansion with a burlap sack in his hand and dumped the contents of it in front of Sarah, who had already given up all hope at this point. What she saw fall out of the sack completely broke her in mind, body, and spirit; it was the severed heads of Sarah's parents, two young brothers, and her aunt and uncle. At this point, Sarah became violent with rage and attempted to attack Gerald, but he knocked her out with wooden club and chained her back up. Upon learning that Sarah was pregnant, Gerald decided to keep the child for himself in hopes of one day raising him in the ways of his gang. As for Sarah, well, he allowed her to live in order to help take care of his future child, but she was never allowed out of the basement unless she had to use the restroom. And whenever Sarah needed to, the guards would drag her there by her chains since she no longer had legs.

Ron was already on the verge of being sick after reading more on the horrible things Ridley had accounted to the doctor about how he and his mother were treated by his criminal of a father, but it only got far worse from there. Gerald refused to let Sarah give birth in a hospital since he knew she'd reveal that he was keeping her prisoner, so she was forced to give birth to Ridley in the basement. Ridley didn't mention much about what happened after his mother gave birth to him, but what he did mention was that once he was five years old, Gerald and his men had his mother sold to a bloodthirsty crime boss who secretly made snuff porn films within the criminal underworld. The reason for this was because Gerald saw no further use for Sarah, and also because he had lost interest in her. Once Ridley's mother was gone, his life took a turn for the absolute worst. Ridley's father and his gang members would beat, torture, and bullying him every time he failed to fulfill their evil demands. Gerald had made it clear to Ridley many times that failure was not an option and that he would either one day become the successor of his gang, or die. Like his mother, Ridley was always kept a prisoner in the basement and never allowed outside the house unless his father or one of his guards accompanied him. Due to fear of being investigated by law enforcement, Gerald refused to let Ridley even attend school as he was worried that he might try and escape his custody. Ridley was used for one soul purpose, and that was to assist Gerald and his gang on various heists and even hitmen missions. Ridley mentioned in the report that he would be forced by Gerald and his men to try and rob other rival gangs of their loot of illegal items which included drugs, snuff films, money, and even child pornography if they had any. The first mission they ever sent Ridley on was for him and a few members of his fathers gang to rob a van full of illegal drugs belonging to a rival biker gang known as Satan's Army, and he had only been six years old when Gerald sent him out to do it. What was even worse though was that if Ridley failed to accomplish his missions, his father and the rest of his gang would beat and torture Ridley in horrible ways, and there was even one time where two of the gang members violated Ridley and forced him to sexually pleasure them at gunpoint. His father had no problem allowing it either, and he'd even go so far as to punish Ridley by beating him with a barb wired whip if he failed to pleasure his men properly. Ridley was in hell, and his father was pretty much the devil who tortured him simply for his own sadistic pleasures.

Ron felt absolutely disgusted at what he was reading. This poor child had been robbed of his mother, tortured by his gangster of a father for not following his orders, and even being forced to commit crime at such a young age. Ron honestly couldn't help but actually feel slightly sorry for Ridley, but he was quick to remind himself that Ridley was not someone he should be sympathizing over. This was the same person that would later go on to commit some of the worst crimes Ron had ever read about, and not to mention that Ridley would one day bomb Japan with a nuclear missile, destroying three regions and killing millions. Because of this, Ron made sure not to let his guard down when it came to dealing with someone like Ridley. By the time Ridley had turned ten, he had finally had enough of his father and his gang members always torturing him and using him as a tool for their own personal gain, so he planned to escape in the only way he knew how. Ridley had learned a few skills from his father and his gang over the years, and one of them was picking locks and disabling security systems. Late at night after Gerald and his gang members went to sleep, Ridley managed to tamper with the motion sensor alarm and the security camera in the basement with a few tools which disabled them and allowed him to sneak out. Afterword's, Ridley entered his fathers room with a hypodermic needle filled with kerosene, then injected it into his neck. This caused Gerald to die a slow and painful death. As for the rest of his gang, Ridley killed them in a massive explosion created from a homemade time bomb that he found under Gerald's bed. Ridley set the bomb to go off in four minutes, then fled the house to safety despite setting off several motion sensor alarms. By the time Gerald's other gang members discovered Ridley was gone and their leader was dead, it was already too late for them. The bomb exploded, destroying the entire house and killing the rest of the gang, allowing Ridley to finally have the freedom he had long desired. This was where the doctors report officially ended, so Ron didn't know what happened to Ridley afterword's. From what Ron saw in Ridley's criminal record history however, he had already committed his first real crime when he was thirteen years old and living with a host family. Ridley had sexually assaulted the daughter of this host family and ended up in jail for up to six months, but they didn't stop there.

A year later, Ridley was caught dealing drugs in an alleyway by two off duty cops and arrested, then sent to a correctional facility for twelve months. It wasn't until Ridley neared his early 20's that he really started taking things to the next level. At age 17, Ridley organized his own criminal gang that would later grow to become Black Shadow, then started his business in the criminal underworld. It was mostly drug dealings with other criminal gangs and drug dealers, but Ridley took things a step further after becoming more powerful. He would launder money out to other people and other criminal gangs out in the world, then have them brutally murdered if they failed to pay back their loans on time. What was even worse was that if his victims had family members, Ridley would have them all murdered as well, then he'd have their organs and other body parts sold on the black market. Ron read through the charges and found that Ridley had killed hundreds of families and people who couldn't pay their loans off on time, and the most twisted part of it was that Ridley purposely charged them fees so high that it was impossible for them to pay it off on time. Ron was absolutely disgusted and angered as he read the files which said that many of these families Ridley and his gang murdered also consisted of children and even infants, and Ridley had no problem murdering them as well. He truly was as ruthless as these police files made him out to be.

Ron read the files for over two hours, and then he finally found the file showing Ridley's date of arrest. Ridley was 24 years old when he and his gang were busted by FBI detective Lloyd Florence in the year 1999 for trafficking an insanely huge amount of illegal drugs across the border into Mexico. Ron went through the case files and eventually found a court document laying out all the crimes Ridley had committed, along with his sentencing. To Ron's surprise and shock, despite all the horrible crimes this evil man committed, he was given only twenty years in prison without parole. Ron couldn't understand how Ridley got such a lenient sentencing, but if he had to guess, it was probably due to his powerful connections in the criminal underworld. Ridley probably had a ton of corrupt lawyers and other corrupt high ranking officials on his side that helped him get his sentence reduced. Ron knew that if Ridley wasn't as powerful as he was, he'd have most likely gotten the death penalty or life in prison due to the severity of his crimes. After all, this was a man who supposedly had informers all around the globe along with other criminal alliances supporting him, so it wasn't that much of a surprise to Ron that they'd try and bail Ridley out. There was nothing else on Ridley afterword's though, and there were still many other things about Black Shadow Ron didn't understand. Ridley's court cases gave full details on his confessions about his organization and when it had first been formed, and Gemini had also provided some details about Ridley and Black Shadow as well, yet Ron wasn't sure when it was that they started becoming as powerful as they currently were. Was it possible that Black Shadow was already as powerful as they were now around ten years ago, or did Ridley possibly get out of prison somehow and then gain more power? There were so many questions about Black Shadow that Ron had no answers to, and the fact that this organization was practically ghosted from the public made Ron anxious and even more nervous than before.

How would Global Justice be able to catch such a powerful criminal if Ridley truly was as powerful as Gemini said he was? Ron knew that Ridley and Black Shadow needed to be stopped, but he didn't know how, and this made him feel even more powerless. Black Shadow had already proven how powerful and dangerous they were by bombing Japan with a nuclear missile, and Ron feared that they may do it again at anytime. He had been thinking a lot about it and Ron began to suspect that the Black Shadow had known about the Yamanouchi Ninja School and had bombed Japan to destroy it. Ron wasn't sure why Black Shadow chose to use nuclear weapons to do it, but he guessed that it was done as a show of power to show how powerful Black Shadow was and that they weren't an organization to be messed with. That was the only logical conclusion Ron could come to. Once he finished reading everything regarding Ridley and his organization, he shut his laptop and just stared up at the ceiling, lost in thought. Ron's mind was a mix of sorrow, confusion, stress, and fear.

"What do we do now?" Ron thought, not knowing what to do.

In just eight days, things had only gotten worse for Ron and Kim. Duff and Dementor were dead, Japan was bombed which wiped out the entire Yamanouchi Ninja School and killed millions, then Ron had been knocked out and left unconscious in the hospital for five days due to his injuries received from Wade's fighter craft after the Red Rage took control of his mind. That was a serious issue Ron knew he'd need to deal with. While he had managed to shut Apollyon's voice out of his head for now, Ron was pretty sure he'd try to manipulate him into trying to use the Red Rage again. After all, this was the very demon who created the Red Rage energy source so long ago after striking a deal with an evil cult. Ron remembered what Apollyon had said about the two of them being bound by fate since he had tapped into the Red Rage.

"I can't harm the user, but I can still make them go mad if they resist my influence enough" Apollyon had said.

That warning made Ron even more eager to find a way to break this bond between him and the demon within his mind. The last thing he wanted was his mind being constantly manipulated and possibly even controlled by this evil being. Although Apollyon clearly said that he couldn't harm a person who possessed the Red Rage, Ron wasn't convinced at all that Apollyon was being honest. After all, he was the very demon who created the Red Rage and Yono, so there was no way Ron was gonna take Apollyon's word for it.

"Apollyon is definitely a being to be feared. If he decides at some point that I'm a threat to him, he might do something to harm me" Ron thought fearfully.

He was at a loss at what to do at this point. While this info had provided him with more history on Ridley's youth and why he ended up becoming the monster he was now, it still provided no answers as to where the location of Black Shadow's hideouts were, nor did it bring Ron any closer to finding Ridley himself. If anything, all this info did was increase Ron's frustration and other negative emotions. He wanted nothing more than to make Ridley pay for all the horrible crimes he had committed. Ridley was truly a monster, and even though he hadn't started out that way, it was what he became in the end.

"Ridley's got to be stopped... but how?" Ron thought, his mind at a loss for answers.

He wondered what had happened on the days that he was out cold in the hospital. Had the Black Shadow attacked again? Did Global Justice find anything on them? Ron planned to ask Kim about it later on, but at that moment, all he wanted to do was rest and relax. Some of the pain killers Ron had been given were wearing off slowly, and his bandaged wounds were beginning to sting and throb painfully again. As Ron lay back on his bed, his Kimmunicator suddenly began buzzing. He picked it up and saw that it was Kim who was calling him, so he quickly answered it.

"Hey KP, what's going on?" Ron asked.

"I just wanted to know how you were doing," Kim replied. "I take it you saw the files on Ridley?"

"Yes, I did," Ron replied with a grim look. "Every single one of them...".

Kim nodded with an equally grim look and said, "I never thought Ridley's past was as dark and messed up as the files mentioned. Despite becoming what he is now, I can't help but feel a bit sorry for him".

"Kim, you shouldn't sympathize for Ridley so easily," Ron warned her in a rather aggressive manner. "This is a VERY evil man, KP. This man committed hundreds of unspeakably evil crimes in the past, and don't forget that his also destroyed half of Japan AND killed Sensei, Yori, and the entire Yamanouchi Ninja clan. Ridley doesn't deserve pity of ANY sorts, no matter how horrible his childhood was".

Kim could see the hate in Ron's eyes and knew what he was implying.

"I know, Ron," she said calmly. "What Ridley did was unforgivable, but if you think about it, he probably became what he is today because of the way he was raised. His father was a cold hearted, ruthless criminal who basically used Ridley as a tool for his own needs, and all that abuse he inflicted on his own son most likely played a big factor in him becoming the monster he is now".

"I know that, Kim," Ron shot back coldly. "But that doesn't excuse what Ridley's done. I understand that some people who live their whole childhoods being abused and tortured by their own parents sometimes change them into monsters themselves, but that's not the case with every person that goes through it. What they do with their futures is a choice, and Ridley chose the path he's on now. He always had a choice, Kim, and he chose to become a heartless criminal. Ridley chose to murder, steal, manipulate, swindle, and destroy. That monster doesn't deserve any forgiveness whatsoever!"

"Ron, I understand that your angry, and I know Ridley doesn't deserve forgiveness" Kim began.

"Angry?! Kim, you can't POSSIBLY understand how I feel right now," Ron suddenly snapped, then yanked his shirt up. "Look at me! I've been injured due to having to be subdued because some evil energy force messed with my head, Yori and Sensei are dead, and now some evil demon is trying to manipulate my emotions and mind. I... don't know what to do, Kim. All of this is just too much for me to handle..."

Kim noticed that tears were now visible in Ron's eyes as he dropped his shirt and felt a deep sense of pity for him upon reflecting on everything that had happened to him several days ago. Ron had lost Yori and Sensei, his mind was being manipulated by the Red Rage, and he ended up losing control of his sanity and attacked Wade because of it. Kim couldn't imagine how much emotional and physical pain he was currently going through as a result of all that.

"Ron, you'll get through this, we all will," Kim soothed in a calm voice. "Believe me when I tell you that what happened in Japan hit me just as hard. Yori and Sensei were both very good friends of ours, and losing them was horrible for me as well. As for that evil energy source inside you, I'll do whatever I can to help you fight it's influence. I love you Ron, and I don't want to see you fall into a pit of depression and sadness".

Ron wiped tears from his face and nodded. Hearing Kim tell him that she loved him always lifted his spirit, even in the toughest times of his life. He remembered the Lowardian invasion two years ago and how he had almost lost Kim to Warhok and Warmonga. That was the one time Ron had truly been terrified. The thought of losing Kim was the one thing Ron had always feared, and when he was faced with the possibility of never seeing her again, he was struck with fear he had never known before. Ron and Kim were inseparable since they had first met as kids, and their bond had only grown stronger overtime. Eventually, the two fell in love and became closer than ever. The thought of never being able to see Kim alive again, to feel her again, terrified Ron more than anything. This was the reason he had killed Warhok and Warmonga two years ago with use of his mystical monkey powers. While Ron's intention wasn't to kill them, he still wanted them gone and as far away from Earth as possible to ensure they never try to harm Kim or those he loved again. After the invasion had ended, Ron had hoped he'd never have to deal with a threat like that again, but fate had other plans. Ron never thought he and Kim would end up dealing with a criminal organization so powerful and so well hidden two years later. The thing that made Black Shadow so horrifying to Ron was that they were hidden from the entire world, presumed long gone years ago. There was no doubt in his mind that Black Shadow was still very much alive and more powerful than ever. What happened to Japan proved that more than enough.

"Kim," Ron started. "I... I don't want to lose you! That's the one thing that's always been on my mind ever since this case with the Black Shadow began. Ridley... he's so much worse than the Lowardians. We don't know where he is, or where he'll strike next. He's an insane man, Kim. If Ridley was insane enough to launch a nuclear missile at Japan, who knows what he'll do next. What if... what if he chooses to do the same thing to Middleton next?".

"I'm afraid too, Ron," Kim admitted. "Of all the villains we've dealt with in the past, Ridley is far different from them. He's more evil, sinister, and sadistic than any of them combined. There's no doubt that his abusive childhood played a part in him becoming the evil man he is now, but what I don't understand are his intentions for doing what he's doing. I don't know whether its because Ridley wants control of the world, or to just strike fear into others".

"I've been thinking a lot about that myself, and I have a few theories on why he's doing all this, but I can't be sure if I'm right about all of it" Ron speculated.

"What are your theories?" Kim asked curiously.

"Well, Ridley clearly knows everything about us, our families, friends, and associates like that metal suited freak in the train yards said, and he bombed Japan conveniently where the Yamanouchi Ninja School is located. I'm beginning to think Ridley either has some sort of a grudge against Team Possible and wants us dead for that reason, or he's trying to eliminate people that he sees a threat to his plans. The Yamanouchi Ninja Clan was a powerful organization with a lot of connections, and I think that's why Ridley wiped them out. If my theory is correct, Ridley is trying to wipe out any group or organization that he fears may oppose him so that he can take over the world" Ron explained.

"So your basically saying that Ridley is trying to kill us all so that no one will be left to oppose him and his organization?" Kim asked in a fearful voice.

"I'm betting that's the reason," Ron nodded. "If you think about it, he destroyed Japan and wiped out Yamanouchi, and Ridley knows everything about you, me, and Team Possible. I can't be sure if I'm completely right about this theory of mine, but it seems very accurate. And given what Gemini knows about Ridley, its safe to say that my theory is probably correct".

"Ron, if what your saying is true, then that means Ridley will probably come after us next and then attack Global Justice afterword's," Kim replied. "We need to find a way to stop him".

"But how? We don't know where his organization is hidden. Hell, even Ridley's whereabouts are unknown," Ron said. "The files I just read also don't provide any crucial info on Black Shadow itself other than Ridley's past criminal records and his physic evaluation, so I don't know how we're gonna find him or Black Shadow".

"I don't know, Ron. I... I really don't know" Kim replied, not knowing what to do.

Just then, Ron heard Kim's Kimmunicator beeping on her end, then he saw her looking to the side with a curious look.

"Who's calling you?" Ron asked.

"It's Betty Director, and the message says that its a priority one call" Kim replied in concern.

"Better answer it, Kim. Let's see what she wants" Ron urged her.

Kim answered the call and the screen on Ron's Kimmunicator switched to a two screen view. Kim was shown on the left while Betty was shown on the right. As soon as Ron saw Betty's expression, he knew something was horribly wrong, because he noticed that the area around Betty looked like it had been hitting by a bomb. Dr. Director was also covered in what looked like soot and ash, and she had a horrified expression on her face.

"Betty, what's going on? What happened? Where are you?" Kim asked frantically in a worried voice.

"Ron, Kim," Dr. Director began in a frightened voice. "Global Justice HQ was just bombed a few minutes ago by a strange looking fighter that just vanished into thin air seconds after it fired its weapons at the building".

Kim and Ron felt their hearts skip a beat upon hearing that, but that was nothing compared to what Betty said next.

"Gemini's dead... he's dead" she stammered, tears now visible in her eyes.

Once Dr. Director said that, Kim and Ron both felt their blood run cold.

"N-no!" Kim stammered in horror.

"Damn it! I knew it... I KNEW IT," Ron suddenly yelled. "That bastard Ridley's going after everyone that knows about him!"

"Ron, you don't know if-" Kim started.

"I KNOW for a fact it was him, Kim," Ron shot back. "Remember my theory I just mentioned?! This confirms it!".

"Theory? What are you talking about, Stoppable?" Betty asked in confusion.

Ron explained his theory about why Ridley and his organization bombed Japan, attempted to kill him and Kim, and why they were attacking Global Justice. Dr. Director listened carefully to every word Ron said, then spoke up once he finished.

"I actually considered that being a possibility myself. After seeing those files on Ridley and knowing what he's done in the past, its safe to say that he's probably attempting to take over the world by first wiping out all forces that might oppose him or expose him. Ridley somehow must have found out that Gemini talked and had him eliminated" Dr. Director said with sorrow and anger in her voice.

Kim and Ron could tell how upset and angry Betty was upon finding out that her brother had been killed in the assault by the Black Shadow. They couldn't confirm if Ridley himself was the one in the fighter that had attacked Global Justice, but Ron had his own suspicions that it might have been him.

"What did this fighter look like?" Ron asked.

"I don't have time to explain," Betty replied. "I called to inform you that Global Justice will be relocating your families to a safe zone until the Black Shadow is dealt with. Ridley is a far more dangerous threat than I could have ever imagined, and my brother is now dead because of him. After hearing Kim's report on what happened in the train yards, I've decided to move all of your families to a hidden location far away from Middleton until Black Shadow is eliminated. Don't ask how long it will be, because I don't know. Also, I've got some disturbing news regarding Shego and Dr. Drew Lipsky".

"Shego and Drew? Oh no, don't tell me they've reverted back to their old ways" Kim exclaimed fearfully.

"No, that's not it," Betty replied, shaking her head. "Shego and Drakken's home got invaded by heavily armed masked thugs about an hour ago, and they barely escaped with their lives. They'll be joining you in the secret location as well, and I'll also be assigning agent Lloyd Florence and Nelson Rivers to be your personal body guards".

"No way... Ridley's going after Shego and Drakken? Why would he do that?" Ron questioned.

"Because we know them," Kim replied. "Ridley's probably going after everyone else we know as well, and my guess is he's now going after all the remaining villains and ex-villains we fought in the past as well. He's most likely doing it to incite a response from the both of us".

"More like declaring war on us" Ron retorted bitterly and coldly.

"My thoughts exactly," Dr. Director said. "I'll be arriving shortly to pick you and your family members up, and Kim and her family will be joining you shortly after. Also, I've enlisted the help of Team Go to assist in bringing your relatives and Kim's relatives over to the hideout, so I want you all to ready yourselves and prepare for my arrival".

"We'll do that right away, Betty," Kim nodded. "And... I'm sorry about your brother. I know he was a villain and all, but he was still your family".

"I know," Betty said, tearing up again. "So many lives have been lost to Ridley and his organization, but I can promise you that we WILL find a way to stop him. Until then however, we need all of you to be moved into hiding to ensure he doesn't get the chance to harm you too".

"I'll let my family know about this as well and start preparing ourselves for your arrival" Ron informed.

"Good, make sure you only take what you need. I've got to sign off now; Global Justice needs me" Betty replied.

"Alright, we'll get ready. See you later" Kim said, then Betty signed off, leaving only Ron and Kim on the screen.

They said nothing as they both took in the gravity of the entire situation. Ridley truly intended to wipe out Team Possible, and his message to them was quite clear. Anyone who had been associated with Team Possible in the past, hero or villain, was being targeted for extermination. First it was Duff and Dementor, then the Yamanouchi Ninja Clan along with half of Japan, Gemini, and now Black Shadow had set their eyes on Team Possible and their families next. For the first time, Kim and Ron were struck with fear unlike anything they had ever felt before.

"He wasn't lying when he said Ridley knew everything about us" Ron said finally.

"Who?" Kim asked.

"That metal suited freak we fought at the train yards. He said Ridley knew everything about us, and our families too. I was right, Kim. That monsters after ALL of us" Ron replied darkly.

"I... I know," Kim replied fearfully. "I don't know what to do, Ron. This is like nothing we've ever faced before. Not even Warhok and Warmonga were as bad as this".

"We'll have to find a way to deal with Ridley somehow once we get to this secret location Dr. Director mentioned. My minds in such a mess right now that I don't know what to think" Ron said, shaking his head.

"Same here," Kim replied. "I'll see you in a bit then".

"You too, KP" Ron said, then signed off.

Rufus had woken up near the side of Ron's bed from a nap upon hearing the commotion and saw how scared Ron looked. This made the small rodent fear for his best friend.

"Ron, you okay?" Rufus squeaked.

"No, not in the least bit, Rufus," Ron replied, glancing over at the mole rat sadly. "The Black Shadow killed Gemini, and now they're coming after us next. We'll be going into hiding for awhile until we find a way to stop them. I don't know how long, but I hope it isn't forever".

"Oh no" Rufus replied sadly.

Ron got up from his bed to begin packing what he needed for the trip to the secret hideout, fearing what the future held in store for him and everyone he loved. Ron wished that Yori and Sensei were still alive to help guide him in times of need like this, but he knew that could never happen again. They were dead along with half of Japan, and Ron could only hope and pray that Team Possible didn't meet the same fate. He thought of his family, Kim and her family, her relatives, his own relatives, and everyone else he knew. There was no doubting it any further. Ridley and his organization really did know everything about him, and Ron knew that as long as he was still alive and out there somewhere, Team Possible would never be safe along with everyone Ron knew and loved.

"What do we do now?" Ron thought as he began packing.

His chest still throbbed with pain as he opened a suitcase up and began packing every essential item he'd need for the trip, but Ron ignored the pain as his mind continued to wander on what to do about Black Shadow and the Red Rage now within him. As Ron packed his things, he could have sworn he heard Apollyon laughing at him in his mind as he continued to wallow in despair and sorrow.
