"Who are we fooling?," his father demanded, "There's not enough time for me to make up for the pain I've caused in my life. But if I could save Ninjago-"

"You want my blessing to walk out on us again, fine! But don't expect me to stick around to watch you go. My real family needs me!" Lloyd shouted, throwing the spellbook onto the deck of the Bounty before pulling his hood over his head and diving head first off of the side of the ship.

"You know, when Kai said that you should have a parachute on you at all times, we should've taken it seriously," Cole spoke up which pulled Lloyd out of his thoughts and into the present.

Once the group of eight made their way back to the Bounty, they all went their separate ways, but soon enough, Cole had checked on everyone, making sure no one was gravely injured.

Lloyd hadn't been able to move his right shoulder correctly since he had landed on the ground with his hands full of power, so he shouldn't have been surprised when it had been discovered that it had been dislocated and that the only thing keeping him from spending the night in urgent care was probably the events that had transpired just a few hours earlier.

The fact that Cole had been the one to patch him up instead of anyone else probably helped his odds as well.

"Ow!" Lloyd hissed as his arm was lifted into a sling, the steering pain from his shoulder radiating into his neck and wrist.

"Sorry, kid," Cole apologized before tightening the sling so his arm was tight around his chest, "there. Should be just fine now."

Lloyd offered him a smile, trying his hardest to push back any sort of thought that could draw a parallel from Cole to his father, when luckily, Jay's voice entered the room.

"Nya's got something planned in the main room, whenever you two are ready," he explained, before his eyes made contact with the green ninja's shoulder, "you okay?"

"Fine," Lloyd shrugged him off, trying not to look too hard at the bruising against Jay's face, "we'll be there in a minute."

Jay nodded before leaving the room, leaving the two of them alone once again.

"Hey, kid?" Cole spoke up as the two started to leave, "if you need to talk, about your dad-"

"I'm fine."

"It's just, your mom mentioned something about a fight, and-"

"I said I'm fine, Cole," Lloyd snapped, avoiding looking at his friend's face, "let's just see what Nya needs."

Before he had a chance to respond, the younger of the two was already on his way to the main room with one thought at the forefront of his head. 'I really need to just shut up sometimes.'
