Life in The Penthouse

Incorrect Mini scenes

A/N: So, I found some incorrect prompt generators and I thought that I would do some for Lab Rats: Elite Force! Thought I'd post this to let y'all know that I'm planning on trying to post semi-regularly.

"It's dark in here," Oliver said, standing in the dark weapons room.

"Don't worry dude, I got this," Kaz said.

Oliver stood back, expecting Kaz to use his fire powers to light up the room. Instead, Kaz started stomping their feet and the room was partially illuminated by the light of his...sketchers?

Chase observed Kaz as he poured his drink into a glass.

"You know, I really regret teaching you how to use the blender.

Kaz took a sip of his toast. "Why? Thanks to you, I never have to chew again! Thanks, buddy."

"Bree, my face is on fire!" Kaz yelled from the bathroom.

Bree super-sped into the room. "Kaz! Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm great, actually. I was just testing your reaction time." Kaz replied.

Bree looked at Kaz, her face laced with confusion. "But your face is on fire. I'm surprised that my super-speed didn't put it out."

"Well, this is much faster than shaving," Kaz said.

Oliver was sitting in the living room when Kaz came down from the stairs. "Hey, Oliver."

Oliver looked up from his phone. "Hey, Kaz."

"What are your goals?" Kaz asked and, without missing a beat, Oliver replied, "to pet all the dogs."

"No, I mean like fitness goals. Your super-strength would make more sense if you looked the part."

Oliver rolled his eyes. "Okay then. To run fast enough to pet all the dogs."

Kaz teared up. "You really are my best friend."

Chase beamed down to mission command in the hyperlift and saw Douglas standing with his back facing the hyperlift.

"I've been expecting you, Chase," Douglas said.

"Wait, how did you know it was me without turning around? Did you invent something useful that won't kill people?" Chase asked.

"Uh, no. To be honest, the first few I did that to were not you. I've been standing like this for hours. I can't feel my knees."

Chase was tending to Kaz, who got injured on the most recent mission. "How would you rate your pain?" Chase questioned, wrapping gauze on Kaz's wrist.

"Oh, zero stars. I do not recommend this experience at all." Kaz replied.

Chase looked at Skylar, who had just saved him from being encased in a rocky grave. "Skylar, you saved me. I owe you my life."

"No thanks, I've seen it and I'm not interested."

Chase looked up from his research to see Douglas leaving mission command. "Where are you going?"

"To get ice cream or commit a felony. I'm going to decide on the way." Douglas said.

"Okay. I'll round up bail money." Chase said sarcastically.

Kaz and Oliver were seeing how far up they could create a "topple the tower" structure. The two were currently hovering around one of Davenport's busts when Kaz almost toppled the tower.

"You know, I think Houdini did something like this once and, if I remember correctly, he was out of the hospital in no time!" Kaz laughed.

Oliver made a face. "Oh, well, that's encouraging."

Chase was wrapping up another team meeting, his finishing line after another long, anticlimactic briefing on sightings of the shapeshifter family.

"And if you guys have any suggestions, please place them in this suggestion box."

"That's a trash can," Skylar said.

"Exactly! Meeting adjourned." Chase said.

Donald looked at his brother, the two in the middle of a fight in mission command. "Hey, do you remember when you didn't solve all your problems by attempted murder?"

Douglas snarled at him, and replied, "stop romanticizing the past. Bob made me almost go back there."

Perry entered mission command in the middle of the night and saw Chase, still hard at work at researching shapeshifters.

"Don't you ever sleep? Can't you just shut down or quit running? Oooh, how about I go get some water, and then I'll get Donnie to fix you!"

"No, no, PERRY! For the millionth time, I'm not a robot!" Chase said before looking into the distance. "Oh, I'm always running. The question is from what."

"Yeah, I'm getting the water."

"Considering recent events regarding the shapeshifters," Chase said, looking at a small box that was left by their door that contained a small explosive device. "If you see or hear something, say something."

"Oh, I saw a squirrel in a tree today!" Kaz answered.

Chase eyed Kaz. "Outstanding."

Kaz yawned as he came downstairs. "Whew. I just slept for twelve hours, but I think I'm still tired so I'm going to go for twelve more just to be safe."

Chase didn't even look up from his tablet. "That's a coma, Kaz."

"That sounds festive! Let's do one of those."

Chase rolled his eyes but kept working.

Maybe it wasn't the best idea to ask Kaz to preheat the oven when the other members of the elite force were running errands...

Chase checked in and make sure that Kaz had preheated the oven for the team's dinner of baked chicken, green beans, and garlic bread that Oliver had insisted on buying at the team's most recent trip to the grocery store.

Meanwhile, in the penthouse, Kaz was listening to music and air drumming before the song cut off and Chase's call came through.

"Yes? And make it snappy, I'm practicing my air drumming." Kaz said, answering Chase's call.

"Did you preheat the oven and put the chicken in the sink to thaw?"

"Well yeah, you freaky little genius!"

Chase disregarded the use of the team's favorite nickname for him. "Just, what temperature did you set it at? It should be on the little screen."

"It's at 545."

Chase looked at his watch. "Kaz, that's the time."

"Now it's at 546."

Oliver was still struggling to control his powers, and that afternoon's training was no exception. Bree got hit with a cryoblast and was stuck to the floor, thus ruining her new boots. They were further ruined when Kaz used his pyroblast to melt the ice. Now the elite force had ruined tile, and an enraged Bree on their hands. As a result, Chase let Bree have an evening to herself in the living room (after he fixed the tile, of course), complete with movies, ice cream, and her phone charger.

As Bree was halfway through the first movie, the group chat got a text from Oliver.

Ollie: … .-. - / ...-.-.-.-.-

Skye: What was that?

Freaky little genius: Morse code. It says I'm sorry.

Ollie: Dang it, you stole my bit!

Freaky little genius: Well then, what is it?

Ollie: It's not morse code, it's remorse code!

Bree: I'm even madder now.

Freaky little genius: Okay, who changed my name in this again?

No matter what the team did, they couldn't escape Perry. While the group was most likely to only be mildly inconvenienced by her, Douglas saw Perry's presence at the penthouse as a major issue.

"Hey, Douglas. Perry's looking for you." Skylar said.

"Uh, tell her I died. Again." Douglas said.

Then, Perry appeared at the entrance to mission command. "Hey, Dougie!"

"Perry," Douglas mumbled, hoping that he could slip away into nothing but atoms at any moment to end the suffering.

"Have I ever told you I want to wake up with you every day for the rest of our lives?"

Douglas stared at her, but quickly realized he had the upper hand. He woke up when Perry was getting her sleep in. "I wake up at 4:30 AM."

"Oh, uh, in that case, I want to see you at some point every day for the rest of our lives."

At that remark, Douglas hopped up from his chair and quickly used the hyperlift to get out of the building.

Chase sat in mission command, holding his head in his hands.

It had been a rough few weeks between the shape-shifters and a recent onslaught of other missions that each had their own difficulties.

One of these involved something that Davenport had invented, and he was now doing damage control in the city. So, for the time being, Mr. Davenport was staying at the penthouse.

This mission had been hard on Chase as several people were killed and Chase couldn't get over that fact.

Davenport entered the room, seeing Chase sitting on a stool and sulking.

"Hey, Chase. I know that you've been stressed lately and that last mission killed seven people that couldn't be saved, and..."

Chase looked at Davenport. "It was thirteen, actually. It would've been fourteen if Bree didn't get out when she did."

"Okay, that's not the point. But, there's no way to bring them back, and whose fault is that?"

"It's yours." Chase studied him up and down as he got off his chair. "You're becoming your brother at an alarming rate."

Chase gave Kaz a death stare, just as powerful as Tasha's. "Can you be serious for five minutes?"

Kaz stopped for a minute and looked at Chase. "I think my record is three, but I'll try."

Oliver walked right up to Chase's bedside as Douglas wrapped gauze on Chase's stitches to protect them from infection until he could take them off. "I've already sent good vibes your way and they're coming. You can't stop them."

Chase made a face and looked at Oliver. "This is the most threatening way I've ever been cheered up."

Oliver looked up from his phone. A revelation had struck him, and he knew it was revolutionary.

"If you water water, it grows."

Bree looked at him, a confused look on her face. "What?"

"Y'know, he's got a point," Chase said.

Chase eyed the information in front of him, knowing that they had little time to do this and create the needed result. "We need to hurry because the chances of getting the correct result are diminishing by the second."

"Eh, I would say infinitesimally," Oliver suggested.

"So? I would say teenily-weenily because we all know words." Kaz retorted.

"Let's just go do it and stop with the wordplay!" Chase exclaimed.

"It is impossible to make a sentence without the letter 'a'." Kaz realized as the group relaxed in the living room after training.

"Despite your thinking, it is quite possible, yet difficult, to form one without the specific letter. Here's one to further disprove your theory." Chase said, a slight smirk lacing his face.

"Fun killer," Kaz mumbled.

Kaz came down the stairs of the penthouse, ready to play some music. "Make no mistake, not only am I party rocking, I am also in the house tonight."

Oliver looked at him from the couch, pointing at his friend with an inquisitive look in his eye. "But are you shuffling?"

Kaz grinned. "Everyday."

Chase looked at the two from the desk that sat by the kitchen. "What language are you two speaking?"
