Romeo and Juliet, Otsutsuki Style
Summary: AU. Born in the Otsutsuki Main house, Narushiki was sent to Earth to investigate the missing god tree. It shouldn't be a difficult task, right? Blend in with the populace, find out what happened with the god tree and report back. The only problem? The vessel he chose to inhabit is an omega who's calling out to his destined soul mate. What is he to do when this goes against the very laws of his clan? SasuNaru. OP!Naruto.

A/N: Sooo… my apologies for starting this one when I have so many unfinished stories. This just wouldn't leave my brain after brainstorming for my other fic, Otsutsuki Naruto. Anyway, let's see how this goes.

Chapter 1: Making a Vessel

"Thus, this council hereby decrees. Your first priority is to map out the planetary seed bed. You will assess the viability of indigenous species for harvesting and locate the god tree's location assigned to our rogue sister, Kaguya. The time has come for you to prove yourself, Narushiki as worthy of being your father's heir- as a true Otsutsuki. Travel safely, child and know that this is the way of our clan; of all members of the Otsutsuki main house. This is the fate that the universe and the cosmos has preordained for us. Much like your father before you, you will begin your journey to godhood; to perpetuate a cycle long started since time began; back when the stars are young. What Kaguya has laid out, you will finish; and finish it you will. Now go forth. Seek out the god tree and deliver just punishment to our wayward clan member. Only then will you begin your growth into power that is rightfully yours."
Blue eyes widened. His father spoke of this many times to him before. And it's finally here. But to take on the legendary Kaguya? The only female Otsutsuki clan member to ever be granted permission to operate alone? Conqueress of worlds and devourer of planets? While he had been excited for his 130th birthday, the age of coming in their clan and the start of every Otsutsuki's journey to tend to their own seedbeds and collect biomatter after biomatter from worlds and planets beyond, there's still that lingering trepidation and doubt at the bottom of his stomach.
He turned to his father, whose face remained impassive, yet a glint of pride at his son's growth briefly flashed in his pale byakugan eyes.
"Worry not, my son." His voice confident and holding no doubt as he raised a hand. To his side, a rift in space materialized, before a familiar figure stepped out.
"Urashiki-niichan!" The younger Otsutsuki's eyes glowed as he smiled at the man he grew to see as a brother. Urashiki had been his caretaker since birth and their bond became more akin to that of brothers, due to Urashiki's playful and lax personality; especially since Otsutsuki have a long reproductive cycle and there's not a lot of young Otsutsuki in the clan, he has especially attached himself to the man who took care of him since birth.
"Urashiki will accompany you and will serve as your guide. I shall set you amongst one of the greatest of our clan. So that you may benefit from his experience and wisdom. Heed his teachings and advice. And your growth shall know no limits."
"Hey chibi!" Urashiki ruffled his long golden hair, a unique trait among the clan, much like his shining sapphire eyes. And his unique traits have been taken as a sign even amongst the elders of a greater destiny set for him.
"You're messing up my hair, niisan!" he whined, whipping his head so his horn swatted away Urashiki's offending hand.
"Ahh, sorry, sorry, chibi. Well, are you ready? Your very first jump through dimensions may be unsettling at first. But you have grown enough that you can withstand the rigors of space travel. Shall we?"
"Wait…" the younger one held up his hand before floating for his father.
"Dad…" Momoshiki raised an eyebrow, surprised by the sudden boldness of his son. "I'll miss you." And he jumped into his father's arms. Momoshiki hugged his son tightly, giving his forehead a kiss; a rare display of affection for the usually stoic and unfeeling man.
"Such is our way, young one. While I may lament the quiet here after your departure, know that I will always be proud of you. Now go forth and make us all proud. The clan awaits word of your success."
"Hey, I'm not that bad, dad." the young Otsutsuki grinned, nuzzling his father's chest. He looked up and upon meeting the man's gaze, and he saw his father's eyes trembled. And he understood it at once. While his father usually put on airs of arrogance and effortless dignity, the worry shining in their depths were undeniable. Turning serious, he gave his father a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, dad. I'll be careful. Promise. And I don't ever break my promises, ever!"
"That you do. Now go. I'll await your return."
He just nodded as he turned to Urashiki.
"Alright, niisan, I'm ready."
Urashiki smiled before his eyes glowed red before a black rift appeared before them.
"Momoshiki-senpai, we'll be taking our leave now, okay? Don't worry, I'll take care of him."
"See that you do, Urashiki. This is training for you both as well. You're not just there to play, understood? And if you two should encounter trouble do not hesitate to flare your chakra. Kinshiki and I will come at a moment's notice. Though that should be a last resort, considering that this is a coming of age test for my son."
"Of course, senpai. I'll see to it that his first journey outside the home planet is successful."
And with that, they journeyed through dimensions to begin their hunt for Kaguya and her god tree.

Narushiki gave a short shudder as they emerged upon the vastness of space, in a distance, a shining blue planet beckons. Urashiki wasn't kidding when he said that his first dimensional travel would be unsettling. A hand on his shoulder brought him from his reverie.
"You okay, Naru?"
"Y-yeah… Yeah. I believe I am."
The older Otsutsuki grinned, handing him a chakra pill. "Told you it would be jarring. Here, this might help."
"Thanks." Narushiki accepted the stored chakra, consuming it greedily as he felt the effects of their journey taking its toll on his young body. In an instant, he felt a surge of strength coursing through his veins, causing his blood to boil. He can never get enough of the god tree's chakra. And tasting it makes him want to look for it already, to eat his very first fruit, instead of the piece meal pieces he had been consuming in their clan.
"Now I did some initial surface scan of the target seedbed a week ago. Your father and I has determined that the best course of action for us is to blend in while we study the planet." He lead Narushiki closer to the planet. "The indigents of this planet are called humans, Naru. And while they are primitive and should pose no threat to us, it is imperative that we do not cause trouble during our initial intelligence gathering."
Narushiki turned to his brother figure, his waist length golden hair swaying freely as his head turned; and while Urashiki is a millennium older than he, their bond as adoptive brothers posed no barriers to the young Otsutsuki in raising his questions. They have always been able to talk freely with each other.
"If they are so primitive, niisan, why not just destroy the primitive beasts and be done with it? Surely, with them gone, our search for the god tree will become smoother, yeah? If we eliminate the obstacles, we can find Kaguya-neechan and her god tree unimpeded."
"Ahhh… tempting, little brother. But while these humans are an annoyance, of that there is no doubt, they are necessary for the god tree's growth. What good is a planet without organic life form, Naru? What good is a seedbed without its nutrients? Without DNA to harvest? If we are to ensure that your god tree is brimming with power, with biomass and essence, the preservation of life around it is paramount. Remember Naru, that we are not mere harvesters but cultivators. And as cultivators, we make certain that our harvest is not only fruitful but bountiful. Makes sense, yeah?"
"I guess. Although it makes me wonder. Why do we even have to search for the god tree? Can we not just plant one of our own? Are we even sure that Kaguya's tree still exists?"
Urashiki chuckled. His little brother is naïve sometimes, adorable but still clueless to his sheltered life outside the clan.
"The god tree is a unique organic matter in its entirety, Narushiki. It is not something that we can so easily tend and mass produce, not even its seed. As more and more of our clansmen chose to eat its fruit, its seed have been harder to come by for quite a while now. And thus it have been our way to await a tree's maturity. And once it had borne its fruit, it can safely be transported to another planet, ready to begin the cycle anew once more."
"I get it. So, what now?"
"All in due time young one. For now, upon planetary descent, we will take up identities and blend in with the local populace. Once we have secured more sources of chakra, we should be able to focus our attention in researching this planet."
"Makes sense. So what shall we do next, niisan?"
Urashiki grinned as he snapped his fingers before they are transported to a lush greenery, a thin wall of dimensional barrier separating them from the planet as they floated in Urashiki's pocket dimension. They were able to observe through that thin wall, as they watched a blond haired ninja training deep in the forest.
"Initial scans indicate multiple fonts of strong chakra across this land. One such lies before us. This is a special human called a jinchuuriki. They house within them strong demonic beings that possess near unlimited power. This human is the perfect host for you. He shall be your vessel as you embark your quest in this world. Now embed your kama seal unto him and live his life in this world."

Naruto was training in the woods on his own. He knows it is forbidden. He knows it is off limits and he doesn't really care. He's desperate to learn the jutsu in this forbidden scroll so he can graduate; just as Mizuki-sensei told him. He has already perfected one of its jutsu, the shadow clone jutsu and he wants to learn more; eager to impress his teacher more.
A figure loomed before him before he whipped around, seeing himself face to face with an unfamiliar man.
Blue eyes met blue, before stormy eyes narrowed in confusion at the intruder.
"Who the hell are you?"
Narushiki grinned. Naïve, clueless, and weak. Such pitiful creature. But worry not, this vessel is indeed strong. And Narushiki will make good use of it.
"Hmm…you do look a lot like me. But worry not. I will be gentle with you. Can't have this perfect body go to waste, especially with this chakra."
Naruto was about to retort something, but a sharp searing pain on his chest caused him to stumble back. Reeling from the overwhelming sensation, Naruto crumpled to the ground, breathing heavily.
"We'll be seeing each other real, soon, little one."
And just like that, the figure before him vanish faster than he could blink.

"For your first time, that was perfect, chibi." Urashiki praised his younger brother as Narushiki reentered the dimension.
"Now what, niisan?"
"We wait for the seal to take effect. Then you may live your life as one of these humans. I have been observing this one from afar. And it would appear that this one has a 99% compatibility with you so it won't be long before you will start to inhabit his body. A rarity, if you ask me."
Narushiki sighed, finding a hexagonal stone as he stared at the vastness of his brother's dimension. Using the Kama seal had taken more of him than he thought.
"That's good, right? I should…. I should rest for a while…" Narushiki said, out of breath from his exertion. The Kama seal was only used in rare circumstances. However, doing it this way will ensure that their mission will proceed smoothly. So he's not complaining.
Urashiki's eyes softened as he ran his fingers through his little brother's soft golden hair. "Alright little one. Rest here. I will be back to fish some chakra for you."

Naruto heaved, he braced himself on the ground as he steadied his breathing. What was that about? He wondered, before resting himself against a tree, unaware of a diamond mark that have formed itself on the center of his chest.
