So... You'll see a bit of overprotectiveness from Jiji in this chapter. I mean, his best friend just turned into a cat for StarClan's sake! But he is starting to develop a crush on kiki... Or should I say on Hollypaw? What will happen during their meeting with BloodClan and it's leader, Scourge? You will just have to read and find out. Now, without further ado, let's take flight.
oOo
Kiki- No- Hollypaw, stared wide-eyed at the group of blood-thirsty cats that were sitting all around her. Jiji sat next to her, looking around with narrowed eyes and hissing whenever someone came to close to Kiki for his liking.
"What's with you lately, Jiji? You've been acting kinda strange, is everything okay?"
"What do you mean, Kiki? I-I mean... Hollypaw? Why would you think that? I'm just making sure these vampire cats don't attack you."
Kiki rolled her eyes and playfully cuffed her friend over the ears. "There not vampire cats, Jiji. They're a group of cats who live in the back alleyways of Twolegplace. And Jiji? You can just call me Kiki."
Jiji sighed and shuffled his paws together nervously. He has been feeling strange lately when around his best friend, but the young tomcat couldn't figure it out, maybe Kiki might be able to help him with this strange predicament.
A sudden poking at his side drew him back to reality, and he looked back up at Kiki- Hollypaw with bright eyes, the small she-cat laughed and bopped him on the nose with a paw. "You still didn't answer my question, Jiji." Hollypaw mewed, swishing her tail back and forth as she stared right into Jiji's eyes, he was just glad he had black fur, because Jiji could feel his ears start to grow hot.
"I-I-I uhh... I-I don't know..." Jiji mentally screamed in his mind at the lack of speach used in that moment, but he could care less at the moment. All that mattered was that he keep Kiki- No gosh dang it! This is so hard. Hollypaw! Yes! It's Hollypaw, not Kiki. Wait, NO! It's Kiki! Ugh! I don't even know anymore. He was more focused on keeping Hollypaw safe from blood-thirsty cats who had fangs and claws that looked as if they were straight out of a horror movie.
"Jiji, you know that wasn't an answer," Hollypaw says.
"Well yeah"
"Then can you please give me a real answer?" She mewed, twitching her ears back and forth and her tail curling neatly over her front paws as she spoke.
Jiji just stared down at his paws and lowered his ears. How was he gonna tell Hollypaw that he has a crush on her? Wouldn't it make things weird between them? That's the part that scared Jiji, the fear of how Kiki would react.
"Let all cats old enough to kill their own enemies gather here for a Clan meeting!" The sharp mew of BloodClan's leader, Scourge brought Jiji out of his thoughts.
"We have two new cats that wish to join us! A former ThunderClan apprentice and a Twoleg pet, what do you all say? Should we allow them to train in the ways of kill or be killed?"
One of the BloodClan cats, a young silver tabby she-cat with purple eyes spoke up from the crowd. "I will train the former Clan cat, if you allow it. May I proceed, Scourge?" She mewed in a confident and bold tone of voice.
The black tomcat nodded his head, as he addressed the silver tabby. "I approve your request, Ghost. You may train young Mist," Hollypaw blinked, she then raised a paw, and smiled at the BloodClan leader.
"Thank you, Scourge. I will make you proud, and who will be training my friend here?" Hollypaw- No- Mist, asked. And Scourge smiled and pointed to a black and Violet furred she-cat. "Celine will be training young Shadow," He mewed, and Mist and Shadow sat and stared up at their new leader.
Kiki was the first to trot up to Scourge once the other BloodClan cats had all scattered. "Hi, Scourge. So just out of curiosity, when will our training begin?" She asked, and Scourge grinned at the energetic and eager young she-cat in front of him. "Well, it seems I have recruited a young cat who's ready to learn. Your training will start tomorrow at sunrise," Scourge meowed, with a flick of his tail and a nod to the two cats, the BloodClan leader headed to his den to sleep for the night.
Kiki was awoken early that morning to the sun shining into her face. She gave a quiet sigh and tried to go back to sleep, but to no avail, so with an annoyed sigh, Kiki reluctantly got up and began to get ready for the day.
"Well... You know what they say, the early bird gets the worm." Kiki muttered tiredly to herself, with a yawn and a twitch of her tail.
Usually, Kiki was always up before the sun had even risen in the sky. But she had stayed up late talking to Jiji. She yawned again and rubbed her paws over her eyes.
