Chapter 2: Welcome To Silent Springs

The Next Day

The Fentons were now in the middle of packing their things into the RV, getting ready.

"Come on everyone, we gotta get the lead out..."Jack said as he put some weapons into the RV/Assault vehicle.

Danny was in the middle of talking to his friends, who had arrived to see him off.

"Tough break, man..."Tucker said, feeling sorry that he's gonna spend his vacation like this.

"Yeah, well...it's not like I have a choice..."Danny muttered as he placed his belongings in the RV.

"Where did your folks say you were going, anyway?..."Sam asked.

"Some place called Silent Springs..."Danny said and Tucker nearly let out a yelp and Sam gasped.

"SILENT SPRINGS?!..."They both yelled out.

"Uh...am I missing something?..."Danny asked.

"Dude, how do you not know that it the place where Rock Zilla lives?!..."Tucker explained.

"Rock Zilla? You mean that old school rock star with the tongue?..."Danny questioned and his friends nodded.

"And the one who's music is wild, hard rock that challenges authority and expresses individuality. My parents hate him...which means he has to be good..."Sam said with a smirk, as she has quite a few of his CDs.

"And he's got a super hot daughter around our age too..."Tucker said with a smirk as he's seen said daughter in magazines.

Sam rolled her eyes at that.

"Of course, that would be what's your focused on..."The goth girl said while the tech geek ignored her.

The ghost boy blinked.

"I didn't even know Rock Zilla even had kids..."Danny admitted.

"You really gotta read more tabloids and magazines..."Tucker said. "Any chance we can come with?..."He asked hopefully, hoping for the chance to meet and hit on Rock Zilla's daughter.

"In case you forgot, your parents are taking you to some comic book convention and my folks are dragging me off to some overpriced resort..."Sam said with disdain. "Besides, even if Danny is going to the place he lives, I sincerely doubt he'll actually run into him or his daughter who's most likely just some spoiled, pampered Paulina-clone. Rock Zilla is probably going to some tropical island for Spring Break like all celebrities do..."She muttered.

"Still...if you get the chance, can you get me an autograph?..."Sam asked, not being able to resist.

While she is against several stereotypes on the media, she does have a love for rock and Rock Zilla's brand of music, while a little old school, is the right kind of wild and hardcore music that she likes. Plus, like she says, her parents can't stand him and that made him cool in Sam's opinion.

"I'll see if I can..."Danny said to his female friend.

"Danny, come on. We gotta get going..."His dad called from the RV, even honking.

Danny sighed.

"I'll see you next week..."Danny said as he got in and left.

Danny was now in the RV and tried to be optimistic.

"Maybe Jazz is right, maybe Mom and Dad will end this whole thing soon and then I can spend the rest of Spring Break having some peace and quiet..."Danny thought.

Besides, just how loud can a place called 'Silent Springs" be, even with a Rock Star supposedly living there?

Meanwhile

In Silent Springs

It was a peaceful morning, quiet and almost tranquil.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!..."A shrill voice echoed all throughout the town.

Or, at least it was, as an angry blonde girl was having a tantrum.

It's Serenity Zilla, the eldest child and only daughter of Rock Zilla and his wife, Crystal and Willy's older sister. She has just learned about her family's cancelled trip due to having been at a sleepover at a friends house last night and she is not happy to say the least.

"Mom! Dad! You can't do this to me. It's one thing to stay home for Christmas but Spring Break?..."Serenity said, whining.

"Now Serenity, don't be like that..."Crystal said in a calming way. "We're always going to those tropical resorts every Spring Break, so it may be nice to spend it home and take part of the festival..."The pink haired mother said.

"And rock the joint!..."Rock said as he did his signature howl, much to his daughter's annoyance.

"Ugh! I can't believe this is happening to me!..."Serenity said dramatically while her mother sent her a patient smile.

"Now Serenity, you know that a frown is just a positive energy imprint turned upside down..."The pink haired mother said. "Besides, I just checked your horror-scope and it says that Gemini: This week will be filled with chance encounters, new experiences and a life changing meeting..."She said.

Serenity rolled her eyes and wasn't really listening.

"Yeah, whatever...I'm going to the mall to deal with the fact that my vacation is ruined..."The dramatic teenager said as she marched out.

Just then, Willy arrived with Mosh.

"Hey everyone..."Willy said and Serenity frowned harder.

"This is all your fault..."She yelled as she marched out of the room.

Willy paid no mind as he turned to his mother.

"So, anyway...I'm off to go meet Alyssa and Q..."Willy said, since today is the first day volunteers help set up the festival.

"Alright, precious. Have fun..."Crystal said.

"Yeah, and let me know in case the festival needs someone to bring the house down. AHHOOOO!..."Rock hollered loudly.

"As if..."Willy thought but smiled before saying goodbye to his folks.

Later

After several hours of non-stop driving, the Fenton's soon arrived to the supposedly quiet town of Silent Springs.

"We're we are..."Jack said as he parked.

Danny and Jazz looked around and sighed.

"Another quiet town that our parents will humiliated us at..."Jazz mumbled, already planning to go someplace far away.

Danny planned to do the same thing but turned to his folks.

"Uh...so...where did you guys say the ghost is?..."Danny asked, since during these trips, his parents don't really find any ghosts, just some hoax or misunderstanding.

"Apparently there's an old vacant house here that has been rumored to have some creepy ghost sightings, it's a few blocks east of here..."Jack said as he pulled out his bazooka.

That means Danny and Jazz would be going west of here.

"Come on, kids..."Maddie said.

"Actually Mom, me and Danny are gonna go explore the town...see the sights..."Jazz said quickly, not wanting to be here when things go bad.

"Are you sure?..."Maddie asked.

"Yeah...plus, Sam says that Rock Zilla lives in this town...I wanna see if I can get his autograph..."Danny semi-lied.

He really just wanted to get away from here before his parents did anything embarrassing and he is still half sure that rocker is out of town by now for Spring Break but his folks don't know that.

"Rock Zilla?!..."Jack asked with a surprised look. "Sure...and get me one too if you can..."The father said, since he had been a fan of the rock star since the 80s.

Danny blinked.

"Even Dad is a fan of the guy..."Danny thought before nodding.

With that, The Fenton siblings soon left to explore the town while their parents went ghost hunting.

Yes, the Fentons have now arrived to Silent Springs...

Oh boy.
