Chapter 5: When Danny met Serenity

Serenity's mood, while still upset over being stuck home this Spring Break, was better now.

After she dumped Jake, she spent the next two hours shopping until she maxed out a few of her credit cards and now Skunk was bringing all her new belongings to the limo.

"Come on, Skunk. After this, I have my hair appointment..."Serenity said in a bossy way.

"Right, right...Almost done, Serenity..."The roadie said as he placed several dozen bags into the limo.

Serenity was pleased, until she noticed something.

"Hey, where's my Abyss bag?..."She asked out loud, as she knew it wasn't among the items Skunk carried in.

Thankfully, she spotted it several feet away, most likely it had fallen off.

"Oh, there you are..."Serenity said in relief as she grabbed it.

However, before she could berate him for dropping it, someone almost bumped into her when they turned the corner.

"Hey, watch it..."Serenity snapped.

"Oh, sorry..."The person said apologetically.

Serenity saw that it was a boy around her age with black hair and blue eyes. She noticed that he was kind of lanky and his clothes were really out of style...he is also looking at her strangely.

"Hmm...another boy smitten by my beauty..."Serenity thought to herself.

However, that wasn't the reason why the boy was looking at her.

"Well, here we go again..."Serenity said as she expected the boy to drool over her and ask her out, just like most boy do when they meet her.

However, the second Danny heard her voice, it dawned on him who she is.

"Wait...she's the girl who dumped that guy at the mall earlier..."He thought, feeling she's probably trouble.

Not wanting any trouble, he decided to just leave.

"Well, sorry..."Danny said as he walked away.

Unknown to him, Serenity had a surprised look on her face.

"Huh?..."Serenity asked out loud, confused by his sudden departure.

Skunk, who had just put the last of her items in the limo, approached her.

"Right...now...ready for your appointment, Serenity..."Skunk said.

Serenity blinked and frowned before turning to the roadie.

"Actually Skunk, move my appointment an hour later...I...uh...got something to take care of..."Serenity said as she looked to where Danny went, leaving the driver confused.

"What was that about?..."Skunk asked out loud to no one.

With Danny

The ghost boy was now in the local park, admiring the scenery.

"This place is nice...maybe coming here wasn't a bad idea..."Danny thought as he sat there and pulled out a comic book he got from the mall.

He began reading it, not knowing that the girl he bumped into earlier also arrived to the park.

"Hmm...so, there he is..."Serenity thought, still surprised he didn't asked her out like she thought he would.

"Hmm...maybe he was still thinking about approaching me...I better find out for sure..."Serenity thought with a smirk as she did her classic walk.

She began walking as if she was on a runway, passing by the boy and pretending not to notice him.

"Here we go..."Serenity thought with a smirk as she opened her eyes to see his love-struck expression like other boys get once she passes by.

To her surprise, she saw no such expression on his face, as his eyes were glued to the comic he was reading.

"Huh?..."Serenity let out and frowned.

"Hmm...he probably didn't see me..."She thought as she decided to walk again, trying to make sure he saw her.

However, even after she did her second walk, nothing changed.

He was still looking at his comic and not at her.

"Hey..."Serenity let out before she walked towards him in a less alluring manner.

The last guy who truly ignored her, Damien D'Angelo was one thing but this guy acted like she didn't exist. Even that life guard who she thought had ignored her, had just been asleep, but this boy was awake.

"Okay, time for the direct approach..."Serenity thought as she decided to just go and talk to him.

"Hello..."Serenity said, now getting the boys attention.

"Huh Oh, it's you..."Danny said, sounding neutral.

Serenity smirked on the inside and was intent to learn what his deal was.

"I shouldn't even be talking to someone who pays more attention to comics than girls. I mean, really..."Serenity said as she looked at her nails.

"Then why are you?..."Danny thought but help his tongue.

"Okay..."He said as he went back to reading his comic.

Serenity raised a brow at this. Unlike with Damien D'Angelo, this boy didn't flat out ignore her...but he still isn't taking the bait. Still, the blonde girl found this oddly intriguing.

"Hmm...a challenge..."She thought as she stepped up.

"So, I see you like nerdy stuff..."Serenity said, wanting to get his attention.

Danny was starting to get annoyed by her prying and for being rude.

"What is with this girl?..."Danny thought in annoyance as he noticed an explosion happening several miles while she wasn't looking.

"What was that?!..."Danny thought, fearing the worst and he knew that he had to get away and fast.

"Listen, I get you want attention but I just remembered that I gotta be somewhere else..."Danny semi-lied. "Bye..."He said as he left.

Serenity was surprised by his sudden departure and rubbed her chin.

"What is this? No one ever did that before..."Serenity thought before decided to follow, wanting to learn more about that guy.

Oh boy.
