Chapter 4: Oliver
Everyone woke up to see the newest akumatised villain, standing in the centre of the room, with an axe in hand. Zoe was the first to figure out what had happened.
"Oh, no!" she cried, with a palm to the face. "The horror story must have scared Mylene! Now she's been akumatised!"
"Don't worry, Zoe," said Marinette. "You didn't mean for it to turn out like this."
"Everyone, run," commanded Nathaniel. "Stay close. You don't know what the baddie can do."
So everyone charged outside, escaping from Oliver, who brandished the fire axe. But, halfway through the run, Marinette and Adrien separated themselves from the group, and hid - he in a lift, she in the janitor's cupboard.
Marinette opened her purse, and out flew Tikki, her kwami.
"Looks like Hawk Moth's followed the Akuma Class all the way to Lyon," said Tikki to Marinette.
"Looks like it, Tikki, and now it's time to fight. Spots On!" commanded Marinette. Within the next fifteen seconds, she turned into Ladybug. Meanwhile, in the lift, Adrien opened his poclet. Out flew his kwami, Plagg.
"Why can't Hawk Moth catch some rest?" said Plagg. "Surely all this akumatising must be making him tired."
"Let's hope that happens soon," said Adrien, "but for now, Plagg, Claws Out!"
And with that, Adrien turned into Cat Noir. He rushed outside, where he bumped into Ladybug.
"Well, hello, m'lady," he said flirtatiously. "I'm purr-prised to see you here."
"Fancy seeing you here too, Cat," replied Ladybug. "But the puns can wait. Right now we've a baddie to fight."
And off they headed to the fourth floor, where Oliver was attacking. Other holidaymakers, including Chloe and her lackey Sabrina, had run for cover. But it was now in the hands of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
"There they are, Oliver," said Hawk Moth to his latest minion. "Grab their Miraculouses!"
As Oliver charged towards Ladybug and Cat Noir, Cat Noir said, "Where could the akuma be?"
"I don't think it's in the fire-axe," said Ladybug. "But we'll have to act fast before we turn into firewood. Lucky Charm!"
And out of thin air came a red-and-black badge, attached to a safety pin.
"A badge?" said Ladybug. "Whatever should I do with this?"
"Think, m'lady. Where d'you think a badge would go?" added Cat Noir, trying to fend Oliver off.
"Jumper? Probably. Shorts? Nah. Wait - Mylene wears a bandana. That's where it could be!" said Ladybug.
"Cat, try to block Oliver. I'll get the bandana off her."
"I'm on it now, bugaboo," said Cat Noir.
"And don't call me bugaboo," said Ladybug irritably. "We've talked about this!"
It was a bit of a tussle, but Oliver was successfully blocked and stripped of her bandana. Then, with a Cataclysm, Cat Noir destroyed the bandana, releasing the akuma. "No more evil-doing for you, little Akuma," said Ladybug, catching the Akuma. "Time to de-evilise!"
With a swirl, a purified white butterfly, and the power of the Miraculous Ladybug, the red-and-black badge vanished, and Mylene, Mylene once more, was kneeling in the hallway, all destruction repaired.
"What happened to me?" she wondered, as Ladybug and Cat Noir congratulated each other on a job well done.
"You were akumatised, Mylene," said Ladybug, turning to Mylene. "But don't worry, everything's back to normal now - you're safe."
At that moment, the rest of the class returned upstairs. Zoe approached Mylene and gave her a hug.
"I'm really sorry Mylene - I didn't mean to scare you like that," she said contritely.
"Don't worry about it, Zoe," said Mylene. "No harm done, not anymore, at least."
"Well, all's well that ends well," said Cat Noir. "We'll be off then."
"Thank you, Ladybug," said Mylene gratefully, "and thank you, Cat Noir. You saved us all again."
"It wasn't a problem," said Ladybug. "Bug out!"
And off they went.
Stay tuned for Chapter 5.
