The bikers from Yugioh were always my favorite, each of them are interesting in their own way and I've wanted to write a story about them for quite sometime.
And recently I've started getting inspiration for the bikers again after re-reading my old favorite fics of the DOMA boys throughout the years from LuckyLadybug, Kohakuhime and a few others, and started coming up with my own stories for them.
Disclaimer: I do not own Yugioh or it's characters except my OC's.
It was another typical Saturday morning in the bikers house. Everything was quiet with only the sounds of birds chirping as the sun rose.
Alister slowly started waking up as bits of the sun shun on his face through his blinds, sitting up and yawning while getting out of bed. The red head opened the curtains and the sunlight brightened the room, causing him to wince and cover his eyes.
This was actually one of the few pleasant mornings Alister has had, as this was one of the few times he's woken up without having nightmares involving the war from his childhood or the death of his family, especially Miruko. When he has nightmares, he's usually silent and would end up being distant a bit from his friends as he would be busy trying to heal the mental wounds and prevent a panic attack with deep breathing exercises and anti anxiety medication.
Alister was thankful that he will able to join the others for breakfast this morning.
As Alister left his bedroom, he heard Valon's loud snoring from the hall and smiled, "Looks like Valon's still asleep," he says to himself, "No doubt not even a herd of Rhino's will wake him up."
Alister decides to prepare breakfast, with eggs, bacon and sausage while making a fresh brood of coffee. Before long, footsteps were heard from stairs and Rafael walked into the kitchen, still trying to wake up as he brushes through his static blonde hair as he yawned.
Alister looked behind him, raising his eyebrow in surprise seeing Rafael's hair being wilder than Valon's.
"Morning Alister." Rafael greeted half yawning.
"You still look tired. Was last night's shift at the Museum rough?" Alister asked as he placed the coffee on the table.
Rafael took the cup, letting the steam and smell wake him up, "I stayed late last night helping Ms. Ishtar set up for the upcoming exhibit next week. I didn't get out till two in the morning."
Alister lifted his eyebrow as he sipped his coffee, revealing a small smirk as he moved the cup from his lips,"That's quite generous of you to do that as a security guard for your boss."
"It was a last minute request, apparently now that it's gotten out that the Rosetta Stone is somewhere in the building, she wanted to take precaution so no one can break in and steal it like the last guy tried to do."
"And she asked you of all people for help on that?" Alister's eyes twinkled a bit.
Rafael lifted a brow, "Yeah? I was there when the first attempt happened, why do you ask?"
Alister shrugged while having an innocent look on his face, "Nothing..." Alister continued to sip his coffee.
Rafael was still suspicious, but decided to ignore it and ate his breakfast.
Alister cellphone dinged in his pocket. He took it out and saw that he got a text message, his eyes lite up when he saw the sender's name on the screen.
Violet
One (1) new message
He opened the message and saw what she wrote.
"Hey Alister! I heard that your play is next week, my aunt wants to know if tickets are still on sale?"
The upcoming play in Domino next week was none other than Macbeth. The theatre was buzzing about it for weeks since production started, and everyone was already casted, including Alister.
He texted her back.
"Yeah, but only ten tickets are left, so you better hurry if you want to get in."
A few moments later, she answered back.
"My aunt just bought our tickets! Can't wait to see it! Who are you playing?"
"Malcolm, the heir to the throne. Be prepared, you'll see me act like a sniveling coward in the first act."
He waited a few minutes for her reply, then he got a message.
"You, a coward? LOL now I'm glad aunt Blanche bought tickets for the front row!"
Alister chuckled as he was writing to her.
Footsteps were heard once again, this time from the youngest of the trio. Valon yawned loudly as he scratched his stomach beneath his night shirt, rubbing his head as his hair was stuck together like a ball.
Only for it to pop moments later, his now fluffy hair completely unruly.
"Mornin, fella's." the British boy spoke tiredly.
Rafael and Alister tried not to laugh at their younger friends hair pop, "G-good morning Valon." Rafael greeted with a muffle.
Valon's eyes lit up as he saw the bacon and eggs, "Oh jackpot!" he sat at the table and began to eat.
"Do we need to keep our hands and feet away for a while, Valon?" Alister asked with a hint of sarcasm.
Valon had a handfull of bacon as he bit into them, his cheeks full with pieces on his cheek. After swallowing, he grinned at the others, "This is great! This is going to be a good morning!"
"Your welcome by the way, I made it this morning," Alister commented as he sipped his coffee.
Valon blinked, "Really!?" then he smirked, "It's really good, Alister, I can see you being a great wife someday!"
Alister spat out his coffee a bit from that comment, while Rafael quickly began damage control to prevent Alister from losing his temper and placed his large hand on his shoulder, while giving a stern look to Valon.
Alister glared at Valon, "Excuse me?"
"No fighting at the table." Rafael warned.
Valon laughed, "Just joking, mate!"
"You'd better be. I'll have you know that I learned how to cook by my father when my mother worked when I was young." Alister spoke.
As the boys ate, they heard a knock at the door.
Valon blinked, "Oi? Are we expecting company?" he asked.
Alister raised an eyebrow, "It wouldn't be this early."
Rafael got up to open the front door. To his surprise, no one was there, his eyes traveled to his feet when he felt he kicked something.
It was a package, with his name and Valon and Alister's on it. He picked it up to examine it.
"A package?" Rafael questioned, "I didn't place an order."
He looked around to see if the person who delivered the package was still around. After a while, he went back inside and saw Valon and Alister squabbling.
"Valon, not another word!" Alister seethed.
"Admit it, you like Violet! Your face lights up like a light buld whenever you text her!" Valon teased.
Alister became flustered, "She's a friend, Valon, nothing more! Besides I have no intention of dating anyone at the moment."
Valon grinned, "Then what do ya call those times you went out to lunch? When she visits the theatre during rehearsals? Or when you went over to her and her aunt's place for dinner?"
As Alister's patience ran thin, Rafael stepped in.
"Alright, knock it off you two," Rafael scolded lightly, "I'm gone for five minutes and you're already at each other's throats."
Alister and Valon looked at Rafael, seeing the package he placed on the table.
"A package?" Alister spoke as he eyed it, "Did you order something Rafael?"
Rafael shook his head, "I haven't."
Valon lifted the package, "Odd, if we neither of us ordered, who sent it?" he asked.
"I'm not sure, but it has our names on it," Rafael answered, "but for some reason, it doesn't have a return address, so I don't know who sent it."
After a bit of contemplation, Valon puts the package down carefully. Alister got the knife and cut it open.
Their eyes widened in horror when they saw a piece of green jewelry.
Valon doubled back with a yelp, Alister felt his stomach drop and started turning pale, and Rafael's jaw began to clench and his blood ran cold.
"No!" Rafael spoke with a low whisper.
This can't be happening! They left that part of their lives behind, and they saw it was destroyed along with the beast they nearly unleashed on the world due to their ignorance.
They saw it destroyed with the man who ruined their lives to manipulate them to join his crusade for world destruction!
Why is the Orichalcos stone here!?
Alister felt his anxiety rise, his hands becoming cold and clammy as the memories of his days in DOMA started to come back, and the regret he now feels for his part when he learnt the truth about the man he served over the years.
Valon looked at the stone in disbelief, "It can't be!? The Orichalcos!? How!? I thought they were all destroyed when the Pharaoh, Wheeler and Kaiba took down Dartz and the Leviathan!" he exclaimed.
Rafael was stunned as he looked at the stone from hi past, then something caught the corner of his eye. He carefully took it out and saw there was signature on it.
It was Roman Numeral .
Alister shook out from his shock as Rafael opened the envelope. He opened the letter and started to read, his eyes widened in pure shock.
Valon became concerned, "What does it say, mate?" he asked in weary.
Rafael gulped, He turned the letter over the Valon and Alister as they began to read it.
What they read made shook them to their core.
Former Musketeers of DOMA,
While Dartz is gone, and his dream to cleanse the world from evil and corruption has collapsed, I've now taken upon myself to finish what he's started.
However, seeing as you three have turned your back on what master Dartz had trained you to do, and Dartz himself despite everything he's done for you ingrates in your darkest hours, I will not ask you to be part of this crusade. So I sent you the Orichalcos stone as a warning to stay out of this war, and to prepare you for what will be coming.
Enjoy your so called new found life while you can, for it won't last long. And from the ashes, a a better world will rise, just don't expect to get out of this unscathed.
You have been warned.
Sincerely, the new leader of DOMA
Alister and Valon's shock turned into anger and fear as they slammed the letter down.
"You got to be kidding me!?" Valon hissed, "This crazy bloke is trying to revive DOMA? Who'd be looney enough to do that!?"
"Someone who managed to get a piece of this stone," Alister answered coldly, "And from the looks of it, this person knows who we are and want us to stay out of it!"
Rafael took the letter and read it again, this time crumpling it from rage.
The memories of Dartz's confession of causing the shipwreck that murdered his family that fateful night, causing the death of Alister's brother by having those planes target the tank they were supposed to escape on, and burning down the orphanage that was Valon's home which caused him to attack the men he thought were responsible, leading him to be sent to prison.
All so he can man can use them and then discard them.
Now they hear that DOMA is not only reviving, but a new leader is taking control and plans to finish what Dartz started and destroy the world!?
Rafael clenched his fists, with droplets of blood falling to the floor.
The three men looked at the stone as it glowed. They knew this was only the beginning.
End of chapter one.
