Summary: A sparkling Predacon lands on Earth, bringing two Autobot closer together.

Side Burn and the Predacon Sparkling
Chapter 1
When Side Burn was chasing a cute red sports car on the highway, he did not expect to get an alert from TA-I about something heading into Earth's atmosphere. He certainly didn't expect something streaked above the highway and landed somewhere a few miles away and Prowl on his tailpipe to hurry up and meet him and X-Brawn at the crash site to investigate.
Reluctantly, he drove right to where the crash site was, rolling off of the road and into the hills and to the woods before transforming and meeting his brothers outside of the crater.
He could see something in the middle of the crater, covered in dirt as he peered over the rim. He narrowed his optics before began to climb down the crater.
"Be careful, baby bro." X-Brawn cautioned the younger as he and Prowl made sure that nothing around was on fire.
"I know, I know." Side Burn replied before he reached the bottom of the crater. He could see wisp of smoke curling from the thing and he had to wait until it had cooled down before he could even touch it. He brushed some of the dirt off and, to his surprise, he could see metal poking out.
"Guys, I think this is a pod." Side Burn called out.
"Can you open it?" Prowl called down.
"I'm not sure. I'll see if there's anything I can do to open it." He brushed more dirt off, fingers feeling for anything he could use to open this pod until, finally, he found it and was able to open the metal casing.
There was a pressurized hiss before the hatch to the pod swing upwards, barely missing parts of Side Burn's body.
The mech peered into the pod and he could see...something inside, something curled up into a ball. Side Burn almost thought that this something was dead when it moved, as if it was slowly waking up from a long nap. Then, raspberry red optics online and was staring right into his own red optics.
A small snout stuck out of the opening, taking a few sniffs before the being's claws clutched onto the rim of the entrance and hoisted itself up and realization slowly dawned on Side Burn.
Then, the creature was tumbling down to the ground and Side Burn quickly scooped it up on instinct and he got a better look at the being.
It had a lizard-like body with wings though they were attached to the front legs instead of only to its sides. It's plating was that of a dark grey and light grey with a single two little nubs on the back of its head; the beginnings of horns.
The creature gave a small beep before sniffing at his chest and then rubbing its head against the plating.
"Uh...guys?" He called out, staring down at the creature.
"What is it?" asked Prowl as he and X-Brawn made their way over to the younger.
Side Burn turned, showing off the little being. "We have a slight...situation I think. I found it in the pod."
"Well, I'll be, that's a Predacon sparkling!" X-Brawn stated as Prowl eyed the sparkling. "And it seems to have taken a liking to ya."
"I have no idea what to do."
"Let's take it back to base before the Predacons decide to see what landed."
Side Burn nodded and Prowl made a comm to TA-I, letting her know to get the scanner and the medbay ready.
"And the sparkling was the only thing found in the pod?" Optimus asked Side Burn as his brothers were struggling to hold the sparkling who was using their chests and arms as chew and scratching toys.
"Yes sir. Nothing was inside, not even an identification pad." Side Burn answered, wincing when he heard Prowl curse under his breath as the sparkling nailed him good with its claws.
"Keep it still." TA-I stated.
"We're trying." huffed X-Brawn. "Side Burn, mind helping?"
Side Burn walked to his brothers and the sparkling happily jumped into the youngest's arms, chirping and beeping.
It took a few moments after but the scanner eventually did and finished its job and TA-I began to read the results.
"Well, the sparkling's a mech, a full Predacon, healthy and he's barely into his first upgrade."
"What about his parents?" Side Burn asked.
"I don't know."
"They aren't in any of the files of known Predacons?"
"It doesn't seem like it."
"So...he's unnamed and orphaned?"
"Yes."
"So, what do we do with the little guy now?" asked X-Brawn.
"..." Side Burn looked down at the sparkling who was staring up at him with his wide, innocent optics. "...We could keep him?"
"Side Burn, we have no clue how to care for or raise a Predacon Sparkling." stated Prowl.
"Come on, how hard can it be?"
"Side Burn…"
"What, you rather send him to Megatron? I'm sure he would love a gift wrapped Predacon sparkling."
The two older brothers glanced at each other before Prowl let out a long sigh and Side Burn knew he had won.
