AN: Holiday update! Life has been a bit rough for me over the weeks but! I still want to update on my FF account when I can so here is the next chapter of Reverse! I hope you like it and that your holidays are very merry!

Pain. Coco was used to pain, after all, it was one of the better parts of existence. Not only did it assure you that you were still alive and kicking it allowed you to determine just what parts of your body had been ripped to shreds and needed immediate medical attention.

"Fuck me." Coco groaned as she tried to open her eyes, that was an effort in futility as it felt like there was a bullhead parked on either of them as she groaned. Her body exploded in agony, her legs, her arms hell even her gut felt like it had been run over by a minivan and every hard labored breath might as well have been shattered glass stuffed into her lungs as she took a moment to compose herself.

She balled up her fists and clenched her toes, ignoring th lancing sensation of agony that sailed through her body before smiling despite it.

Good. I'm not paralyzed. That's good to know. That means I can be fixed now what in the holy fuck just happened to me? She groaned as she tried to piece together the strange series of events that lead to her being flat on her back the feeling of broken cement all over her and a sharp ringing sensation in her ears that she knew far too well.

Fucking hell! The blast! Must be Fang only those bastards would be bold enough to do something like this but why now!? Vytal is not even close to starting, the dust robberies have not even hit a crescendo yet and there is practically no tension in the city! Why would they do this now? Why would they want to stir up trouble when they don't have to and where the fuck is my man?

Coco thought wishing that Jaune was safe and hale. She knew he had a bit of aura on him and there was no way a simple bomb blast would kill him. Well, most likely not and if it did it was just another quick mop-up of Fang a bullet to her dome, and then back to the starting line to see what she could do this time.

Won't be the best run of mine but it's something, now enough bitching time to see the sights! Coco thought as she took a deep breath before forcing her eyes to part. She saw fuzzy hazy smoke that filled her vision. Dark white clouds filled the air debris fluttered down as strange blinking lights filled her vision. She turned her head seeing broken chunks of the sidewalk, shattered pieces of cars, and other chunks of metal were all around her. She forced her neck up to look at her dust-covered body irritated that her new clothes had been ruined and-

"Oh, you have to be kidding me!" She hissed as she saw her legs or what was left of them. Her right leg was bent at a strange unnatural angle and it was showing bone in several locations. Her left seemed to not be as broken but enough flesh was split from bone to make sure that she had to get a medic soon or she was going to be dead before dawn.

"Ok. Ok girl you can do this. You can do this just find Jaune get back to Beacon and live." She hissed to herself before the sharp ringing in her ears began to die down as she began to hear the world around her. Screams, car sirens and the sound of flickering flame mixed with a soft gust of wind that rushed over her face as she grunted doing her best to stand before a boot crunched next to her face. Looking up a man with a Grimm mask and pistol in his hand stood over her as she paused.

"You know I bet you are not that ugly under that mask. How about you take it off so I can see for myself?"

"Human." The faunus grunted before raising his pistol toward her head as Coco sighed. It looked like this run was over, ah well she at least got to go on half a date that was good right? She shrugged as a gunshot filled the air and the world turned white.

There was a time when action was needed before debate or deliberation. Blake was going to find Jaune. She was going to get him out of Vale safely and she would be damned if her team even attempted to stop her in this. But much to her surprise, her team did not even attempt to stop her pursuit of the bright explosion.

In fact, they joined her? They joined her rush all of them, her team and for some even more strange reason, all those of JNPR had joined her at once. They were all rushing down the hall without even a word being said between any of them as they all seemed to have a common destination in mind.

"We have to get to Vale." Ruby blurted out as she broke the silence of footsteps and heavy breathing. The small leader knew that she had to take charge or the lot of them could be in more trouble than they knew. Sure saving Jaune was the priority but getting everyone out alive was just as important to her.

"No duh, we got asses to kick!" Yang said happily that she was not alone in this. She knew that Blake would be easy to convince to go but having not only her entire team but that of JNPR with her? Hell, this was just good luck and she was going to ride it to the ends of the planet! The seven of them reached the bullhead docks and found one of the ships that seemed like it had fuel. It did not take their combined efforts much to force it open as-

"Blake. Hotwire the engines and get this in the air." Weiss said as Blake nodded. She did not need to be told twice to get the ship in the air and-

Wait. Why did she ask me to hotwire the craft? How would she know that I could even do this? Blake thought before shaking off the idea. She knew that thinking too hard could be detrimental in this kind of situation.

"I can help. Let me get it open." Nora said as she yanked open the bottom panel of the control console as Blake nodded in appreciation still not sure why this was going so smoothly and the nagging voice in the back of her head telling her that something was not as it seemed was now practically screaming at the top of its lungs to start asking questions and demanding answers but-

"We don't have long until we are noticed by Vale air traffic control. We have to get to Jaune before Vale sends any aerial assets to take us down." Pyrrha said as she closed the side door to the ship as Ruby nodded.

"She's right we'll have less than three minutes before they scramble something to catch us with so let's be quick about it!" Ruby said pumping her fist shocked that everyone was working so well together, not that she minded it. Or she did mind it. She minded it very much.

She did not for a second think that this was just pure luck, or not after the first minute. Everyone was working all too well together, everyone was just working in unison, and most suspiciously of all, no one was even asking questions to just what they were doing. This made no sense and she was already trying to force her mind to find excuses to explain this sudden and shocking cooperation.

Everything from people just knowing that a task needed to be done, to maybe they had more world knowledge than before? Or maybe even they just were easy to manipulate? But none of those held water and as a spray of sparks filled the air as the ship began to hum to life Ruby's attention was torn to Nora and Blake, the latter jumping into the pilot's seat as Nora got into the co-pilot seat and began to flick the proper buttons to get the ship airborne.

"Ok, we have fuel for days! Well, not literally days but enough to save our fearless leader! Let's go kitty cat!" Nora shouted as Blake paused there was such a thing as far too much coincidence and this was hitting all the marks.

How the hell does Nora know how to pilot a bullhead? Blake thought before another voice in her head said Nora was an enigmatic being that was never defined by the laws of man in any timeline. And for a brief second she bought it before the kitty cat comment hit her and she knew that something was off, something was very off with this timeline and she had to get to the bottom of it. After she got to Jaune and saved her idiot.

"Good. I'll keep us steady and get us to the blast zone before the police shoot us down. Hopefully." Blake said as she pulled up on the controls as the ship groaned in protest before finally roaring to life and starting to float up in the air as the ship began to fly!

As the ship rose there was a moment that Yang wanted to scream what the fuck was happening and how was everyone working together like this but she held back. Life was fucking strange at the best of times and she wanted to make sure Jaune was ok, questions later Jaune first.

Ruby knew that Jaune was not weak. Well, he was never in any timeline as strong as any member of her team but he could hold his own in a fight. Not by fighting mind you, but by having so much aura that it would take anyone without Fang-level hardware to get through his aura in a timely manner.

That did not mean he was invincible by any means, she had seen her love die in front of her very eyes too many times to count and she did not want to risk anything about that happening this time, not when she was on the best if not strangest timeline yet.

"Jaune!" Ruby shouted as she came out of her semblance-infused sprint towards the ever-spiraling smoke cloud ready to save her adopted brother lovers life! As soon as she found a better name for him but as her eyes widened it would appear that her brother did not need saving.

Fighting was always something that Raven found the best ways to teach her tribe people. And by best, she would just beat them senseless untill they learned to block, dodge or take the beatings well. She had taught Jaune that as well she had also taught him that using the enemy's resources against them when at all possible was a good path to success and Jaune took that message to heart.

That was why after he regained his senses from the blast his aura and the unlucky pedestrians that had been closer than he to the epicenter blast shielded him from the worst of it allowing him to recover fast enough to make sure that he was ready to fight. And just in time too.

He found the faunus about to execute Coco just before he could pull the trigger, Jaune spied a spare sidearm in his pants and he deftly picked it from his legs before pressing it to the back of his skull making him freeze before he pulled the trigger and the back of his brain came out of his eye sockets.

The faunus dropped to his knees as Jaune knelt down taking the magazine from his pistol and emptying the chamber. It would do no good if another found his weapon and used it against him or Coco.

"Are you ok?" Jaune asked the obviously wounded woman as she grimaced forcing a smile on her face as she nodded.

"Yeah totally fine. Just peachy. Just some major blood loss and broken bones to keep him up and focused!" Coco hissed as Jaune frowned putting a hand on her broken leg the one with bone poking out as she hissed in pain.

"Watch it, that hurts man!"

"I know it does. I'll secure the area then come back to you. Don't worry I won't leave you." Jaune promised as Coco smirked at him.

"Don't worry I know you won't leave me ever." She said before she leaned up and planted a chaste kiss on his cheek.

"Go get 'em, tiger."

"Hey, I'll do my best." Jaune flushed before standing up and disappearing itno the mist as he went to work...

Jaune did not know why the White Fang was attacking Vale. He did not really care though, he was just pissed that they had interrupted his first ever real date and now he was going to have to work out a better second date that did not end up with his date in the er for a weekend.

"Well, this just won't do," Jaune said before spying three more figures in the smoke, it looked like a clean up squad scent to make sure that no one survived the blast and to recover anything of value. Three faunus men all bent over looking at bodies, the smoke was clear quickly but the smell of smoke, debris, and burnt flesh was masking his approach just enough to give him a small advantage and that was all he needed.

"Well, time to get to work." Jaune hummed putting the gun in one hand and drawing his blade in the other. Crocea Mors flashed out as he took a deep breath and went to work.

The first faunus had died quickly. His throat was slit by his blade, luckily he had no aura so he died without making a sound. The blood would have alerted the others instantly if not for the massive amount of it everywhere else. The other two might be better equipped than he so Jaune picked a safe option.

He raised the gun to the nearest one and pulled the trigger. The man's head slammed forward the bullet burying itself into the base of his skull killing him instantly.

This got the attention of the other as Jaune was already moving to him. The man let out a curse before Jaune slammed his blade into his arms as a flash of aura deflected it.

Shit. Jaune thought as he instantly backed off. He knew that it was best to let the enemy show an opening than to have to force one on them. The man grunted drawing a short sword from his side and slashing it down at Jaune. Much to the man's shock Jaune allowed it. He let the blade hit him on the arm causing his aura to flare up as he grunted in pain.

He used the man's confusion to slide to his right forcing his momentum to come forward and fall past him. Jaune slashed down hard with his blade, whirling it down to hit him right on his Achilles tendon. His aura blocked it but be blow faltered him.

Forcing him to stumble as Jaune got behind him kicking him in the back of the knee forcing him down before jamming his blade under his throat before forcing his neck to the left and violently jerking his weapon to the right. The blow would normally split his neck in two but instead due to aura just snapped it with an ugly cracking sound as the man died as both of them tumbled to the ground in a heap!

Jaune got out of the dead man's shadow taking the time to quickly search the three bodies removing any weapons, emptying magazines, stealing weapons, and displacing anything that could be of value to them before the smoke finally cleared and the thankfully small amount of remaining Fang were revealed to him. Luckily they were only five in number unluckily they all had guns drawn on him.

"Never wanted it easy," Jaune said as they all raised their weapons and fired on him without warning.

Ruby knew that this Jaune was very different than any before him. Not just for the fact that they knew him when he was much younger but this one had no qualms with slamming someone's presumably dead friend's body into them before blasting the other skull throat the bottom as he shot through the neck of the other.

Jaune moved like he was water, sure he was taking shots from the Fang but he allowed it. He moved with the combat flowing with it slashing, shooting, and twisting as best as he could. Slashing down to people's ankles causing them to falter before performing a coup de grace to end their lives with a flourish of his blade.

He was not overly brutal like a hammer or a Nora, but he was not full of grace like Weiss. He was balanced in between the two and he was a monster to witness in combat. She was so impressed she almost missed the faunus behind him taking aim at his back.

Almost. She raised her gun at him and fired hoping his aura would protect him but more than prepared to end his life if it didn't. Luckily Ruby did not have to start her killing this early in her life as his aura flashed and he clunked down to the floor as Jaune finished off a woman that had gazelle ears by slitting her jugular before spinning around and pausing.

"Ruby?"

"Jaune! Are you ok? Where's Coco?"

"Not dead but she needs a doctor do you have a way to get her medical help?"

"Well, I have a bullhead," Ruby said blushing, she had jumped out of the ship a bit too early, and much to her sister and partner's dismay. Jaune was about to question her when a bullhead pulled up over them as most of his friends and Pyrrha jumped out.

Nora was not with them so he guessed she was piloting the ship but he was surprised when the dark-haired girl Blake slammed into him wrapping him in a tight hug.

She smells nice. Jaune thought before she broke the hug and began to check him over.

"Are you ok? Does anything hurt? Do you have any broken bones or internal damage?"

"Um... I don't think so? And I didn't know you cared so much, Blake." Jaune smirked before the state of Coco forced his attention as he helped to direct his friends and Pyrrha the only one he did not address in any meaningful way much to her dismay to help Coco and any other wounded civilians as the sounds of the police coming filled the air.

"I really don't know what to say. On one hand, I am honestly impressed with you all." Glynda said as she looked onto her scroll, scanning it with her piercing gaze as she took a deep breath.

"On one hand, you helped to stop a terrorist attack from becoming worse than it already was. A commendable initiative but one best left to others. You also saved the life of a wounded Beacon student and several citizens. That is also commendable and you will all be given commendations for that.

On the other hand, you racked up a number of felonies that I did not think were even possible for a student to achieve in such a short amount of time. Ozpin? If you will?" Glynda asked as Ozpin nodded the wide old man took a sip from his mug as he looked at the assembled teams JNPR and RWBY as he hummed.

"Well, students hacking a bullhead is quite the task. Flying it over Vale airspace without proper authorization reminds me of a younger time. And fighting off the Fang is always a plus. But I have some questions about this. One. How did any of you know how to hotwire the aircraft?

Surveillance from inside shows at least one of you that should not have the necessary background to flying doing just that. Two. How did you know that Mister Arc was in trouble?"

"Am I in trouble?" Jaune asked sitting away from his team at the farthest point away from his partner much to her frustration in between Ruby and Yang as Glynda shook her head.

"Actually no. From all accounts, you are a victim of a terrorist attack and you responded accordingly to that. So no Jaune. You are in no trouble we just need you to help get the stories straight. You are however free to go if you do not wish to speak or avoid incriminating yourself in any way." Glynda said smiling for the first time since they had been called to Ozpin's office before directing her ire back to the assembled teenagers who even after all the trauma, death, and suffering that they had gone through nothing made them flinch like Glynda's death glare.

"Well... we knew he was in trouble so we went to go get him," Ruby said playing up the innocent but good-intentioned teenager angle as Ozpin hummed.

"Really now?"

"Y-yeah! That's what happened! My sis is all about family first and we are all family!" Yang said wrapping the two in a hug making a bit of an effort to push Jaun's face more into her chest than she needed earning a disapproving glare from Blake, Weiss, and Glynda and a purely scathing and hate-filled one from Nora and Pyrrha. That made Glynda's gaze almost look kind by comparison almost.

"Well, that is something. But the bullhead. How did you know how to make it work-"

"I used to be a part of the White Fang. I learned my skills there. I-"

"I know your past Miss Belladonnadona. And while your quest for redemption is admirable I would suggest adding fewer felonies charges to beforehand hand." Ozpin said as Blake put her hand down. She knew Ozpin knew and it was a calculated risk spilling the beans this early.

There was much to her shock no shock from her friends, everyone just seemed to roll with it especially Weiss and no matter what she did that was always a rocky start to the relationship.

She took that well... Blake thought as she felt that nagging feeling like cold water was dripping down her back as she knew that not only was this loop, not the usual one she had an inkling that she might not be alone in her memories.

There is no way this should be possible. But here we are. Blake thought as Ozpin hummed.

"Anything else anyone wants to confess to?"

"I will not stand by for any harsh treatment to my teammate sir. Just because she has a checkered past does not mean that she is a bad person. As the SDC heiress, I personally vouch for her well-being and good intentions, and should any legal trouble find her she will have the backing of the best SDC legal teams available." Weiss said as the room froze. Everyone looked at her like she was a Beowulf that had spoken English and begun debating philosophy with them as she gulped.

"W-what did I say?" Weiss asked not sure if she had gone overboard but from the shocked looks of her friends and the absolute flabbergasted look from Blake, it appeared that she might have said just a bit too much this time.

"Nothing I am not proud to hear Miss Schnee. Be thankful that Miss Adel is alive. For that, I will overlook this incident for the time being. Please do not try to get out of your month of detention. Or Glynda will make you regret it and she is not as merciful as me. All of you will serve it with the exception of your Mister Arc. You are of course not under any punishment. Unless there is something you wish to add to this?"

"Yes. I do." Glynda said as she narrowed her eyes on the assembled students.

"I want to know just how you all knew Mister Arc was in danger. And I don't want a half thought out of excuses. I want to know just what made you all go forward to do this. What did you think you would accomplish and how did you know that Mister Arc was in danger just from an explosion in Vale?" Glynda asked as the silence was deafening no one wanted to say just how they knew as she hummed and tapped her foot threateningly on the carpet.

"Well? Don't all jump at once now. What is your response?"

"We did not know for sure that our leader was in danger, ma'am. But we knew that he was in Vale and we knew that he might be in danger from the blast. We wanted to make sure that he was ok that was all." Ren said diplomatically as Glynda hummed.

"If this was just your team Mister Ren then I might believe that but why did all of RWBY go with you as well? Did you not find it suspicious that you all just happened to have the same goals of such a strange incident? And a very specific response to it?"

"Come on Miss G! It was an explosion and my brother was out there! You can't expect me to just sit back and do nothing now can yah?" Yang asked as Glynda narrowed her eyes at her as she shriveled under her glare.

"First of all, it is Miss Goodwitch Yang. Second I just want to know how your two teams launched a coordinated effort to not only rescue your brother but to hijack a bullhead. We have you all on camera on your way to the bullheads. You barely spoke a word and you all acted like this was a pre-planned action. How no why was that? Did you expect an attack in Vale? Was this just some wild contingency theory that you had in case one of you was in danger?" Glynda asked crossing her arms under her chest an act that drew a stare from Jaune before he yelped in pain as Yang elbowed his side as Ruby stomped on one of his feet.

"I think what she means is that Jaune is special to us. For a number of reasons. He is Yang and Ruby's brother and while I do not have much family of my own I can see how much they do care for him. He is my partner and I would do anything for him and I just wanted to make sure that he was safe." Pyrrha said smiling as she felt the voice kick into gear in the back of her mind.

You mean you will do anything to him, right? I mean we have done that in the past, we might have missed a golden chance here! We could have got him while he was knocked out or dazed taken him somewhere safe and private who knows what we could pull off? Pyrrha ignored this voice as Ozpin nodded to her.

"Well, I think that we can all see that this is because emotions run high in youth. You all acted out of your steed and punishments will be dealt too those responsible but it was all in the name of the greater good so I don't hold it against you. And it looks like your partner cares for you very much Jaune, aren't you glad to have her?" Ozpin asked in a warm voice as-

"No. Not really." Jaune said as Ozpin paused it was not often that a partner was this vocal against their other half. And the strained and awkward looks that filled the room made everyone a bit uncomfortable as Ozpin coughed into his hands.

"Well now is there any more questions on your detentions that I should answer before I send you all back to your dorms?"

Ozpin asked as Jaune hummed and spoke up.

"Can my partner get double?" Jaune asked as Pyrrha almost fainted as did everyone else for a moment before Ozpin coughed into his hands.

"Well, now that just seems unreasonable."

The next day at breakfast was awkward. Not just because Jaune had basically been blunt about not only not having romantic feelings towards Pyrrha but maybe downright disliking her. Something that seemed to crush the champion in an irreparable way. Much to her dismay but Jaune was off seeing Coco in the infirmary as Nora sighed stopping her destruction of pancakes as she glared at her friends.

"So is anyone else here a fan of time travel?" Nora asked as she bit into her napkin blowing into it as there was a pregnant pause at the table. Everyone stared at her like she had just announced she was a lepper as-

"What did I say?" Nora asked as the assorted friends stared at her as she had a feeling that her loop this time was about to get interesting.

"You know I don't like it when people don't act in line." Roman winced as he heard the soft melodic voice filter through his scroll. The master thief took a deep breath as he pulled on his collar as he wished that those damn muts could just keep it in their pants for once.

"I'm sorry about that, really I did not know that they were doing anything like this I swear!"

"You say that but I am not sure you are the best able to handle this situation anymore. I am starting to think you are more of a hindrance than an ally Roman."

"I have the situation under control! Please just give me a little more time." Roman begged as the voice sighed.

"One week. Get in under control or else." The call clicked off as Roman inhaled.

"Did you get it?" He asked as multi-colored eyes looked up from a laptop as Neo flashed him a thumbs up.

"Good. Now tell me do you think Beacon will hire me with or without the bowler hat?"

AN: And there we go! I hope that it was worth the wait and the story is not dead! Yet! It's just life and everything are taking it out of me and commissions are always there but I hope to do more soon! Enjoy!
